Well I initially did not give a perfect score because i did not get same day service but when Chad showed up the next day and fixed my problem i was really impressed, especially that he was very pleasant and helpful answering the many questions I had. Kudos to Chad from a happy customer. Thank you and Penguin has a customer for all my future plumbing needs.I used them again to replace my water heater..Austin was great, did the job well and was very polite and accomodating. We decided to call this service after our main pipe was accidentally drilled into. Robert was willing to take on the job and came out right on time to provide a diagnosis and quote to fix. His communication was great and he explained everything which was reassuring and he also provided options. The same day service was phenomenal. We have running water again! Highly recommend! A++!

This review is overdue. We've relied on Sav-On Plumbing for repairs and upgrades for a couple of years. Their customer service is always outstanding. They are easy to schedule, show up promptly, and consistently do an excellent job. I highly recommend them.

We were very impressed upon our first meeting with Jeff, who spent a great deal of time explaining the different units available. Scheduling was easy and when David and his crew arrived for the installation, they continued the great service. We had a difficult installation due to our crazy attic access, but no one complained! David thoroughly explained our new thermostats and how to use the app. When they finished, everything was cleaned and there was no trace that they had worked in our attic for 12 hours! Thank you to everyone for a wonderful experience when it could have been a complete headache!

Rick, our tech, was on time, checked everything and went above and beyond just the regular a/c check. He wore protective gear, was a pleasure to deal with and even put our dogs at ease. We’re headed into summer with total confidence in our a/c units. If something should go wrong though we know exactly who to call for great service. .

They are also great if you need to get your heating system up and running.

i need my ac to be looked at cuz it wasn't cooling corrctly and i had called another company and said we needed a whole new unit over $10k. and when i called them it was just and easy fix cost me less then $5k. Moises was awsome.

I asked them to come check for leaks in the duct work and heating system because our heater ran continuously last winter and went through a full tank of gas in just under 2 months. Kevin was in the neighborhood and came right over! He found no leaks so he contacted his supervisor. They worked together and with a heat system pro, found my issue was the fan setting and gas pressure for the unit itself. Kevin fixed the fan speed no problem and I will have the gas issue fixed next winter. He was very thorough and I am super pleased!!

Excellent service. Excellent quality. Very detail oriented. From the first estimate, Jared Moore was very detailed, professional, and knowledgeable. He was honest and didn’t try to upsale me on stuff I didn’t need. He was thorough in explaining services and products offered. Branden, Marquise, Brody and Justin were the install crew. They were also detailed and thorough. They worked hard the whole time and they communicated as a team efficiently. They knew the product they were installing and communicated every step as they were working. Branden and Marquise were very kind, well spoken and personable. Branden and Jared even laughed at some of my terrible jokes. They reassured that the warranty will be take care of. All I have to do is enjoy my new HVAC systems. Whenever I had a question Tori answered and was super helpful and patient. What sold me on 1st choice was the attention detail. As well as the quality checks. After doing much research online I discovered that the install is the upmost important aspect in HVAC that will determine your units lifespan. Jared explained to me that every step MUST be documented with photos. From nitrogen purging to vacuum lines to soldering and everything in between. And at the end of a job they have to submit this documentation to their boss that will then have to review everything then sign off on the job. If the boss isn’t satisfied they have to fix it. This level a quality checks I have not seen in a very long time. This is rare and ultimately the very thing that sold me. Clearly there’s a level of concern for quality in the business. Not even the larger companies could reassure me the quality checks that 1st choice did. I supposed if the technicians do the job right the first time, there’s less of a chance of getting called back out to fix something. I hope I don’t have to call anybody out for quite a while. However, if I do need to I now have a go to HVAC contractor. 1st Choice Mechanical should be everybody’s first choice. I forgot to mention the hotel guarantee!!! If during the warranty period the equipment breaks and 1st choice is unable to fix it within 24 hours. You can go to any hotel if your choice and 1st choice will pay for it. I would rather not have to deal with items breaking however, that’s a very comforting guarantee should anything unexpected happen. Especially in the AZ heat!

The only people to call if you’re having an issue with your HVAC! The owners, Amy and Mark, bent over backwards to help get my heat up and running again- they personally picked up the needed part and delivered it to their excellent technician at my home. They were spot- on about what needed to be done, didn’t try to up-sell me to newer units and were reasonably priced to boot!

From Chase, the owner, to all the people who showed up they were very responsive and the pricing was great. Any issues were handled right away. Highly recommend.

I purchased an annual preventative maintenance (PM) contract from SG Mechanical. An expensive mistake.

During the sumner PM they replaced an OEM capacitor with their cheap inferior capacitor. The replacement caused electrical surges in the fan and compressor - a shady dishonest way disreputable contractors can stress-fail an older air conditioner to force a service call or a lucrative AC replacement - which SG Mechanical pushed before, during, and repeatedly after their PM.

After recognizing the surges as something very wrong, I called one of the SG Mechanical owners for them to come back and put in the correct capacitor. Again they Installed a cheap, inferior, non-OEM, non-Trane-approved capacitor (this time it was the correct voltage and amperage size for the AC unit). After gaslighting the facts and their responsibility they charged me $89 for the service call.

Unfortunately the damage caused by SG Mechanical was already done. The motherboard with visible scorch marks from repeated surging, failed less than three months after their summer PM-Mission accomplished. An expensive repair. Lesson learned: I will NEVER let SG Mechanical work on my Trane AC/Furnace again.
