Not impressed with the service provided. Technician was very friendly and professional but there was nothing special about the water heater service “special” I received.Basically hooked a hose up to my unit and drained it, that’s it. Didn’t appear to inspect any of the heating elements, thermostats, or test my water temperatures after the flush was done (which was my original concern to have it serviced). I would have saved the money and done it myself.After the flush, I was provided with a quote for $1300 to replace two heating elements/thermostats even though I was not given any reason as to why they needed to be replaced (like showing me that my current elements were bad?). And again, I can probably buy replacements for less than $100 and do it myself.Still giving a couple stars only because the tech showed up on time, was friendly and professional.Other than that, would not recommend.

I had just bought a foreclosure not too long ago and needed a bunch of work done on it. They did such an amazing job on all repairs and was very professional and respectful! Definitely recommend them!

Feared the worse, but hoped for the best and found it!!! We had an issue with draining from our bathrooms tub and shower, and dreaded the thought of what a 50 yo house might throw at us. Found Sav-On, and couldn't have asked for better! Our tech Jesse was extremely kind, and didn't have any issue explaining what he was doing. Up front pricing, and definite professionalism...would have no problem ever recommending them for any plumbing issues.

Travis Vonau was our service technician. We had something wrong with our hot water heater. We called Hobaica, and they were able to send Travis, same day. Travis was very professional, and thoroughly explained the “hows” and “whys” of what was going on with the hot water heater. He fixed the problem in a timely fashion. He’s very knowledgeable about his products, and gave us good info about water heaters. Hobaica also services our HVAC’s. We’ve been with them since 2019. We love Hobaica!!

If this review were strictly about the staff at Desert Mechanical, it would be a five star review, as they are very prompt in answering my calls, show up in a timely manner, and are very kind.

However, the low star review stems from my poor experience with a BRAND NEW unit. Long story short, our very old AC unit went out, we paid an arm and a leg for a new unit, and not even two months have gone by and the unit has broke twice. Each time, a “bypass” was put into place because the actual problem could not be found. It would keep the house cool, which is nice, but the unit was constantly running. When I mentioned this on the phone to a tech, they brushed me off and said the unit should click off after reaching temp but it NEVER did. For the first two months with our brand new unit, what should have lowered our electricity bill actually made it triple, yes triple. I was shocked and bummed. Not only was a paying down a new unit but now I was paying an insanely high electric bill (not to mention I have solar). I called someone back out, and turns out the unit was installed WRONG from the very beginning!! What should have been caught in the beginning dragged on and essentially our compressor was never turning off, hence the high electric bill….

I love the unit now, it turns off like it should, but I’m disappointed. Some compensation for the high electric bills would be ideal, seeing as the unit (that was very expensive) was not installed properly and we had to deal with it breaking down for two months in the hottest part of summer. I doubt there is anyway to be compensated but it is wishful thinking.

Again, the staff and techs were always friendly and responsive, but the rest just seemed crazy; being told multiple times “we are just really unlucky” is no way to make APS lower our bill. :(

After my rant, would I go with them again? Absolutely. There are many aspects of the company that beat out other companies I researched and maybe we are just unlucky.

Rick is the best. He knows the business end completely. He communicates very well and carefully explains how your system is designed to work, how it actually does perform to those design levels, what he’s found, and what if any recommendations he has for current work he’d suggest, along with what you might expect in the future, with any associated costs.
He’s a professional with a great attitude and a regular people friendly guy. We’ve had Rick come every Spring to evaluate our systems at 2 different homes since the first call to him ( on a recommendation from a friend) over 10 years ago. It’s just such an easy call to make. We trust him completely. Nice guy, consummate pro. Highly recommend him.

Andrew was extremely helpful and worked hard to get my air conditioning working well. He went above and beyond to find and fix all the issues that my have caused the problem with my system, including arranging for a supervisor to come out at a later date to deal with air flow issues. I appreciated the fact that he kept me informed of the corrections he was doing and was friendly and skilled in his work. I would give him fie stars for his visit.

Excellent company. All of their guys are great at their job and work clean and efficiently. I just had an AC unit replaced and I was super pleased with their work. I highly recommend them.

Valley's Best Heating and Air Conditioning is the best and most affordable company I have found. Our air was no longer blowing cold and we just surpassed the 100-degree mark for the year. Val was able to get to us within an hour (as a first-time customer that hadn't used their services ever before!). He assessed the unit/issue and explained to us, in terms we'd understand, what that meant, what it'd cost and when they would be able to get us in if we'd like to move forward with it. We agreed upon a price and Val was able to do the repairs right then & there. When Val didn't have one of the parts he needed another tech swung by to get him the part and lend a hand.

(As a side note, I had called a different company a couple weeks earlier to just install a Google Nest thermostat which ended with them spending 3 hours heating my place up to 88 degrees and let me know that they would need to perform $3400 of work to replace some valve on the unit in order for it to work with the Nest OR replace the unit for $10-$20K. I asked if he could just return the system to the way it was before he did anything, which he did for $80. So, $80 to heat my house up for 3 hours and not install the thermostat, Thanks but no thanks Larson's Air Conditioning.)

The owner of Valley's Best H & A/C, Chase, stopped by to see how things were progressing as well as looking at duct and plumbing work in the attic. Chase made notes of all the things he noticed that he'd suggest addressing. He worked up an estimate of what those repairs would cost. There was never the, “if you don't do X, Y, Z & 1, 2, 3, really soon your pipes will probably start leaking, cause mold, all your ac is escaping because you need more insulation, etc., etc. pressure. It was simply a hey this is what I suggest and why and if you want to choose our company to do that work this is what it would cost. He even threw in a free inspection at a later date!

No one likes spending lots of money but with Valley's Best Heating & Air Conditioning you don't have the anxiety of wondering about the quality of service you'll receive or being talked into something you do not need. At no time was there ever a conversation about a needing a new unit, where others just try to scare you into big repairs and then bridge that to just buying a new unit. I will be having them address all my Heating & A/C needs.

I called Sun Devil because our house never got below 81 degrees on hot days, and was often warmer than that. Gerardo came out the same day, discovered that our air conditioner was too small for the space and the air handler was smaller still. He gave us a great deal on a new a/c and handler, and within 24 hours his crew were there to install it. Alex and Roy were so polite and they did an amazing job installing and cleaning up. Before they even left, the house was cooler than it's ever been and I felt air moving in places where the old unit never reached. It was exactly as Gerardo said it would be, and I'm so thankful I found them!

We have used their services for several years and they have assisted us with everything needed to maintain a home in Az. We are only here in the winter months and they are totally in charge of our home while we are away. Our experiences with Jessica and Kevin have been the best. They have gone out of their way to accommodate all of our requests even dropping off our car at the Scottsdale airport and returning the car to our home upon our departure. We would recommend their home services to anyone and we already have to others. Thanks Jessica and Kevin!!

We hired these folks to conduct maintenance and cut a 40 hole in my business's roof so a crane could fly in an massive exhaust port. I loved their professionalism, hustle, and problem solving so much that I invited them to my home to install a new 3 ton unit.
