A thankless jobI want to start out by saying I had high expectations for Cody & Sons as their reviews reflect excellent customer service as well as excellent productivity. However, my experience was none of the sort. I reached out to Cody & Sons on Friday May 1, 2020 because of the random faint smell of sewer in my home. A pretty straightforward conversation was held via text message that resulted in me providing my information through email to schedule an appointment for that following Tuesday May 5, 2020 between the hours of 1-5pm.Now because we are ALL going through trying times, I felt compelled to let the company know as I was booking my appointment (on May 1st) that I am a ICU nurse and I can provide mask if needed. Never once did anyone reach out to me regarding this information.Fast forward to Tuesday May 5 approximately 2:07 in the afternoon, I called to make sure someone was still coming out and the representative I spoke with over the phone confirmed as well as a separate text message came through confirming the appointment.About an hour later I received a phone call from Randy who identified himself as the owner. Randy told me none of his technicians felt comfortable coming to my home to fulfill the service because I AM A NURSE. Being a nurse is the most thankless job next to law enforcement. I work OVERNIGHT managing very critical patients with life altering medications, bathing, soothing both patient and family, as well as dealing with the anxiety of bringing ANYTHING home to my toddler and husband. The last thing I was ever worried about was being discriminated against because of my line of work.Randy felt comfortable enough with the response from his “12 technicians “ to call me and let me know no one was coming out. This was about the only thing honorable with this experience. This encounter followed with two phone calls from two different technicians saying they didn’t know about the appointment, which I kindly let one of them know “I made this appointment last week”. We are now at 3 pm during the scheduled time a technician was suppose to be here. So at this point I am insulted and disappointed in the community I serve.I PROUDLY work the frontlines and will continue to work the frontlines. But I want to say this, NURSES, practice with the utmost precaution. I can’t say the same about the person next to you at the grocery store, gas station, or the person you handed your card to while paying for your food.

This was the second time I used Metro Flow Plumbing and needless to say, they did an outstanding job with my gas leak issue. Venessa at the office, RJ and Darrell came out to assess the problem with my water heater / gas line leak. Everyone was extremely professional and handled the job with care. Cannot recommend MFP more. Always appreciate them and the work they do. Thank you!

It is now less than 24 hours later and we have a brand new water heater and are minutes away from a hot shower. I called Dallas plumbing for an estimate to replace my water heater. They would not give me an estimate over the phone. However they did send a lovely gentleman within an hour to give me an estimate for $119 charge. My problem is with the exorbitant estimate. They wanted $3970 for a water heater replacement in the garage. Easy access. I called a competitor, got an over the phone estimate for HALF price! $1998 installed. Same brand, same thing. Same day install.

Matt is an absolute pleasure to work with. When we searched for a plumbing service we were worried that we would find one that tried to take advantage of us as young homeowners. Matt is one of the most honest people I have met. He came out and diagnosed our issue, which was something much less than what we thought, and gave us our options. His pricing is more than fair for the quality of work he provides and he won’t leave until he knows the job is done to perfection. After our first call with him, we have used him for numerous small and major plumbing repairs and continue to be amazed by him and his crew. They show up, work diligently to get the job done and always have a positive attitude. We love them so much we have referred him to our closest family and friends…and really anyone who is needing a plumber. You won’t be disappointed when choosing to work with Matt and his team.

Fred arrived at our home on time. He was honest, profession and spent over an hour explaining what all needs to be done. I have never had a plummer explanation so detailed. Good job.

James' qualifications and experience helped me have peace of mind in resolving a repair that I thought was going to cost me an arm and leg. After inspection of various area of my home , James of DIAL ONE, found and fixed the problem. The cost was reasonable but most important, James, left me in a better frame of mind.

Our water bill had more than doubled and we called HC Edwards Plumbing who was able to work us in right away and detected a leaking under our foundation that was causing high water bills. They were able to fix problem, which was extensive withing the next couple of days. They explained and showed us the process of the work and were very professional. Our water bill has since gone down and will definitely use them again. Thank You Jason!
