Josh did a great job. He was friendly and very professional. And, did his work in a timely manner. I appreciate his honesty and his flexibility. We have not made a decision about the replacement of the hot water heater yet. We are just in the process of getting estimates. Thank you.

Troy and Taylor have been at my home several times over the past year or so for a variety of issues. They are very professional, competent, and thorough. They are great at communicating what services they recommend and why, even sending me pictures of the issues they spot. On top of all that, they are very nice and friendly.

Public Service plumbers impressed me again. Very decent plumber arrived earlier than expected, told me the max cost which we approved, then billed half that after finishing the job quickly and professionally. What more could you want from your plumbing service. Great job Josh and apprentice Maddy.

Jacob was friendly, professional and completely the work in an efficient manner. I needed 3 drains cleared. He removed items from under the sinks and replaced them neatly and orderly. Receptionist was very friendly and professional and Jacob was fantastic. The only reason for 4 stars was that it took 6-7 hours and a couple calls before someone to came (on a Saturday). But when they found an available plumber he called and was on time and handled the job quickly and professionally.

Public Service Plumbers has historically provided great service and customer service. However, with my most recent plumbing issue I was not happy with the communication. We had a gas leak in our home and were without gas for three days. I called PSP to check in to see how it was going with working with the city for the approval process so we could get out gas turned back on.I left two messages and did not receive a return phone call. I called after hours and left a message with the answering service and my call was returned in a reasonable amount of time. I was told that the city had approved the request hours before. I am very unhappy that I was not contacted about this as our house was very cold and we were not able to take hot showers. Especially since I called and left two messages during regular hours. If I had not called for a third time that evening, we would have gone another night without heat.

Nate and Maddy were great: friendly, courteous and neat. They answered all our questions patiently and even left old parts so we could see what the problem was. Emailed receipt including pictures was the next best thing to a YouTube video! Thanks, guys!

Josh is possibly the most polite and helpful home service person I’ve met in Texas - and that’s saying something! He explained the apparatus he was helping us with and took photos so we would be able to deal with it ourselves in the future. Amazing!!

I was charged $491 for a dishwasher installation which seems high on its own. But on top of that, the installation service resulted in a dishwasher that wouldn't drain and is now giving us an error code that we have to get an authorized brand technician to come out and fix under warranty. So why did I pay for the install service?The representatives I dealt with (including Jacob, the technician) were very kind and attentive. But to charge nearly $500 for an install service which didn't even end with a useable dishwasher is ludicrous.

Troy was so thorough with our plumbing issue and very kind to our pets who can be a handful towards strangers. He went above and beyond with her customer service and very knowledgeable about our piping issues. If we have another issue in the future we will ask for Troy and Taylor by name - they were that good!

Josh and AJ came by my job to install a toilet and were just the best! Professional, approachable and kind; these guys didn’t intimidate me like some other plumbers have. Will definitely use their services again!

Troy was awesome! He was super efficient w his time, knowledgeable about the problem and got the issue fixed quickly. And even squeezed in a minute to play with our dog! It was a great experience start to finish!

This plumber they sent out didn’t do anything but hypothetically stated that a bunch of things could have been wrong without actually checking to see if it was. Stated that he left his camera and wanted to charge us 500 dollars to run a line to clear it on top of the fee to come out which was 113. A big ripoff

Kitchen sink repair and other repairs needed were excellent. Loved the communication throughout the whole process, Troy and Taylor were excellent at listening to the issues and concerns of the customer. Everything was done in a timely manner! Great job guys, keep up the great work!!!!

My experience this morning was excellent. PSP went under the house and moved the gas line to my gas fireplace over about 8 inches for easier access and replaced the key valve. They were immaculate and professional, friendly, and were English speaking.

Public Service Plumbers responded quickly when we had a kitchen leak and needed to do extensive repair and replacement of old fixtures. Nate gave us a good estimate and worked even past end of the workday to get 'er done, with excellent quality and cleaning up afterwards. Professional and competent!

Ridiculously overpriced but came down after I told them I would get someone else…could not fix faucet they came for and charged original over price to replace drain faucet. Would not recommend. They should price by hour vs of flat fee they make up….

Jacob and his apprentice arrived on time. Within 5 minutes they were able to locate the problem and provided a quote. They had the problem fixed, packed away their tools and cleaned the mess quickly. I'll be requesting them again once I break something else.

Troy Curtis did a toilet repair and put in a new angle stop. He also took the initiative to clean the toilet tank. Troy kept us notified on his ETA. Once he arrived, Troy was very courteous and efficient in getting the job done! Thank you PSP for hiring such a great plumber.

We are long time customers of Public Service. They do very good work and they stand behind it. They installed a Leak Defense System in our house that required some creative plumbing.

Jose & AJ did a great job executing all updates and replacement of a hot water heater installed above a false ceiling. Had a problem with blockage in our outside line connecting to the city line. Nate from PSP came out and was very thorough in not only finding and clearing the blockage, but also inspected the cast iron pipe using a camera to check its integrity. Consulted with him on various methods to maintain the line to assist with preventing future issues. Very knowledgeable, thorough, and professional service. Nate had previously installed a water heater for us a couple of years ago with which we've never had a problem........ Great track record!

I used them 12 years ago and it was a good experience, but no longer. They were purchased by a private equity firm last year, and it’s clear now all they care about is maximizing profit at the cost of the customer.

We have some drainage issues with our sinks and Josh was able to resolve them easily. In addition, he fixed a toilet issue that was under warranty.He was polite, quick and neat. We really appreciated his service.

Antonio was great. He was seemingly unfazed while I swore at him loudly about how much money Public Service Plumbers wants to charge to repair my water heater, which supposedly is still under warranty. He then apologized for the expense. Antonio, you’re fantastic! Public Service Plumbers, not so much.

I've used this company years ago and have loved them. They are now owned by another company. I gave them 2 tries recently, and each was awful. Overcharges. Plumbers going AWOL, not completing work. Tried to charge me again to rectify. They leave their equipment here and take mine away. Poor response by manager from complaints. Just awful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY ANYMORE.TIP: Use a plumber that charges an hourly rate, and not one with a flat fee AFTER you pay a trip charge to find out what that fee is.

Great job on fixing water line under warrantee. Allan came right on time and I loved the notification process. Not the cheapest place in town but with plumbing and electric you need A+ and that’s what you get with Public Service Plumbing.

PJ was actually early and notified me that he could be there earlier. His inspection was VERY thorough and well detailed as well as helpful. Very pleased indeed!

Charles did an excellent job unstopping my drain and pointing out future problems that will need to be dealt with. Once again, another positive experience with Public Service Plumbing (a well chosen name).

Never again. These guys have been terrific for the many years we've been using them. But after recently getting bought out by an out-of-town company that's rolling up lots of these HVAC companies, they've jacked their prices sky high. They did one hour of work with about $50 of parts but charged over $700!! Technician was terrific but these new prices are way out of line. Look elsewhere for a company that has fairer pricing.

The company has been purchased by Private Equity investors. They are only interested in maximizing revenue now. The prices have more than doubled and the techs are told to focus on selling as much as possible on each call.They replaced my toilet fill valve and when the job was done my toilet now made a popping noise when the tank filling ended. I asked why the toilet now caused the pipes in the wall to rattle and I was told the pipes had a problem already. The fill valve had the name Public Service Plumbers stamped on it. I bought a less expensive part at Home Depot and the noise went away after installation. No construction problems after all.I will never use or recommend Public Service Plumbers again.

Great customer service. Same day service for a serious leak. Jacob explained everything well and did the work efficiently. This is the second time I’ve used Public Service Plumbers, and I would use them again.

Nate repaired a clogged disposal and leaking pipe under the sinks. While he didn’t have all the parts required doe repair on his truck, he went to a nearby Home Depot to get what he needed. Total repairs done in under 2 hours. Much appreciated for the day after Thanksgiving

We had a problem with one of our hand washing sinks. He was able to tighten it up and saved us the cost of replacing it for now. He was very polite and professional.

Ever since the the company was bought out they have gone downhill the only thing that keeps the company above water are the people that continue to work for them my tech was great and the company wouldn't be where it's at today if it wasn't for people like him the company needs to know that it needs to put their techs first because all this seems is that they're only about the dollar and not the quality of service that's given my tech chooses the quality of service and excellence over the dollar that speaks volume I will always use public service plumbers for my building if the people change I'll change

An upstairs toilet was working intermittently and the technician ran a snake down the toilet and pulled back a copper bracelet that was blocking the drain. Very professional. Would absolutely use again and recommend. 5/13/23 Jacob came out and fixed an upstairs sewer blockage and made sure it was done right by following up with the downstairs toilet and cleaning out the sewer line all the way to the street. Professional service done in a very timely manner would absolutely recommend Public Service Plumbers to anyone without hesitation. Five stars all the way! Thank you very much!

They were working a job near her office where they found the purse on the roof. They could have easily ignored and moved on with their day. He called prior to arrival just as I was told he would.$383 seems a little pricey to simply reset a toilet (picking up toilet, setting a new wax ring, resetting toilet). Antonio Martinez came out to my house on short notice and repaired and replaced a seriously broken network of pipes plus rerouted pipes to a water shut off defense system. I am very please with his work, timeliness and demeanor.

I called on a Thursday night and spoke with their answering service after our kitchen sink was leaking heavily into the cabinet below. A representative called me back immediately to understand my issue and on Friday early morning I was notified that I was on the schedule for that day. They arrived early, were completely professional, and did great work to install a new faucet and fix any leaks. This is not the first time I have used Public Service Plumbers and it will not be the last. Excellent work quality, great post-work cleanup, and very reliable plumbers.

Troy and Taylor have been to our house many times to work on various plumbing issues and were always very professional and respectful. The level of expertise that Troy has is beyond impressive! I can highly recommend both of them.

We needed to replace a couple of kitchen style faucets. The Public Service website is quick an easy to enter a service request. We got a call back immediately the next morning and that afternoon they were on their way. Jacob came to our house and gave a range of options for our repair. During the installation. there was a mechanical fit issue with the the faucet we selected but Jacob figured out how to arrange the plumbing for a perfect fit. Highly recommend!

They came out within a day and found and fixed exterior wall hose spigot leak with minimal brick damage and even mortared it back in so it was a emergency turn key job. Done work at reasonable price too. We are more than satisfied. We are impressed. We recommend to any needing quality plumbing work.

WHAT A RIP OFF! $ 89 fee to be credited to work if I use them. That was fine. Needed to simply replace a kitchen faucet, here which I had. 20-30 minute job. When plumber got here he quoted $450 to do the work. Said company had flat fee regardless of time required. ABSOLUTE RIP OFF. TOLD HIM NO THANKS.

Nate gets 5 Stars.Cost seemed unreasonably high for the amount of time & simplicity of the fix. $179. Tech is terrific, but I mistakenly believed price would be reasonable. Heads-up to others: Costs must be confmd—either by project or by the hour, prior to tech’s dispatch to do the job.

They did a wonderful, clean job of finding a gas leak in my fireplace, directing me to get a brick mason to further reveal the pipe (less expensively), and then returning promptly to repair the pipe and check for all possible leaks in the area. Very professional and careful. Great job!

They were out a month ago to unclog my sink because I had put too much in the disposal. Then they came back at no charge to clear a pipe running from the sink to another drain that was clogged. I am grateful for the customer service by Carlos who explained the problem and process. I did not understand so he drew me a picture and then I understood. I was so impressed that he wanted to make sure I was informed. All I can say is WOW!

Josh and Nate were fantastic! I had other plumbers come out and were not able to find the leak. Josh did and then also cut the pipe closer to the wall so there wasn’t a big gap at the tub faucet. They both did a great job installing a new sink faucet and also installed a new water line and valve to the refrigerator. Definitely call this company and ask for them because they are very knowledgeable and did a great job.

We had a bad leak here at our house and it was at night on a Friday and these people were already responding and ready to come fix the problem. A gentleman named Troy came to help us and he did such a great job! Quick and professional about it and very nice. I would highly recommend them for plumbing issues over any company around because they got right to it and didn't mess around for hours or cause any water damage. He even cleaned up after himself. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

They installed a new Rheem about 2 years ago to the tune of 2000.00. The water heater won’t stay lit. The Public Service Plumbing guy said it would cost 238.00 for diagnostics. He told me he expects its the controller, since they had received several Rheems with defective controllers. After talking to their tech guy he told me he would have to order a new controller and it would cost 600.00 to install it. A new Rheem like that one, is 769.00 from Home Depot. I’ll never use Public Service Plumbing again.

Troy Curtis and Taylor Boatwright, both plumbers with PUBLIC SERVICE PLUMBERS were working at our neighbors home. We were not home at the time. They spotted flames coming from the alley behind the house where they were working. It was our garage and both of the garbage pails were on fire along with all the boxes and papers in our recycle bins. Evidently it was spreading and climbing up our cedar tree and on to our wooden cedar fence. They both ran in opposite directions to grab hoses from their client's yard and our yard and thankfully put out the fire before it spread to our garage. This was TODAY, Dec 6, 2021 and the winds were blowing about 30 mph. It definitely would have spread fast. How blessed we were to have two caring plumbers, without anyone asking them, caring enough about a strangers home and doing their best to put out the fire. Which they accomplished. They also called 911 and by the time the fire trucks arrived the fire was out. At the same time my husband drove up to see this awful and scary scene.Kudos to these two men and to Public Service Plumbers for hiring such selfless and caring people. We thought we should spread the word when good deeds are done without anyone watching or asking a question. Just doing the right thing. You can be sure we will now be using Public Service Plumbers going forward.

I had a problem with my water heater and I called this company. They sent someone out who was very prompt, honest and very fair in assessing the problem. However, I ended up having the unit repaired by the person who originally installed the unit. I give this company five stars based upon their willingness to work with me past a slight misunderstanding about the price. (I wasn't told I'd be charged a premium for a weekend call, and I failed to ask how much it would cost.) Even though they didn't end up doing the work, the person they sent was on time, very cordial and patient. I could tell he was a very able employee. I greatly appreciate the way I was treated by those I communicated with. Our compromise, a payment for the service call, was very satisfactory.

Unfortunately this company has merged into a flat fee program large corporate type company. This means to replace a valve and a flap in a toilet is around $500. It’s no longer the small local, first name basis business that it was. I am super bummed because I really enjoyed working with the former trade owners. They charged me the cost of basically a brand new toilet today. Not going to happen again. I wish their employees well. Such a bummer.

Troy Curtis is the man you should deal with! He was exceptional. Helped me with all my issues & gave great suggestions on how to further fix the issues. I completely endorse him!!!

Do no use this company under any circumstances! We needed our tankless heater repaired and hoped they'd be able to assist. We were told that they could not tell what was broken until each part that was identified was replaced and the system was powered up. Ok. I get that. The issue we had was that they were charging us $299 every time they came out! Seriously! So, we paid $89 the first trip and $599 the second trip for the first part to be replaced and labor only to be told that another part was broken. We were charged $299 the next time they came out to change that part only to be told AGAIN that another part was broken. We were discouraged but figured this should be it! They came back and replaced that part, but guess what? Yep, another part was broken. So after paying them $1,286 we still had no hot water at our shop! We were told that to replace the tankless we would run about $5600! We had enough! We called another plumber and got the tank replaced and installed for $2,489 out the door! Do yourself a favor and skip Public Service Plumbers at the risk of wasting a significant amount of money and time!

Ouch, plumbing repairs are so expensive. Public Service Plumbers got someone out within the hour to unclog my toilet. They've always been prompt, courteous, and professional. I always call on PSP.

Shocking experience. Problem: a broken, tankless water heater. Upon arrival plumber told us the fee to diagnose problem $688!! Repair cost $2,000.This came with no guarantee issue would be fixed. Replacement cost, $10,000.I thought my husband was joking when he told me this. Our water heater costs $1,000. None of this made sense.I called and was told they would charge $179 and refund the remaining diagnostic fee. We had to ask the plumber to leave. It felt like a scam.

Very polite and quick service. However, I caution anyone to get a quote in writing. When I called to get estimates on toilet installation I was told one price, but when everything was done I was charged a whole $200 more. It was very basic, and no problems occurred, but they brought an extra plumber when they said they were only going to send one.

The gentlemen that worked on my fireplace were kind and efficient. I had an eroded gas line that could have caused the house to blow up. Once they determined the issue, they quickly capped the line. They returned the next week to replace the line. Our fireplace works beautifully and our house did not blow up! They were very clean and kept me informed every step of the way. They are the best!

We called Public Service Plumbers yesterday because we had a clogged shower and kitchen sink. They unclogged the shower and while unclogging the kitchen sink, they broke a pipe. Water began coming out of the wall into the living room floor and all over the kitchen floor. The plumber said the pipe was old and it was not his fault. We called their office and spoke to the project manager but he was not helpful and sided with the plumber without looking at the pipe first. He said they could send someone to fix it for $800 - $900. Since then two different professionals have come look at the pipe and they both said the drain snake the plumber used was too big and the pipe had not broken if they had used the proper equipment. Now I'm out more than $1000, and it looks like I have water damage on my floors.

If you have a Tankless hot water heater, stay away! They do not know the products they represent they do.They tried to sell a new 10k system for a fix that ended up costing $250. (A little research says you should not spend about 4K for a new system.)BTW, still waiting on the repair estimate.....

We just had a very serious gas leak and the city shut off our gas! PSP came as soon as we called, sending very courteous and qualified service men that did an excellent job! I highly recommend using the best knowledgeable plumbers for any gas leak and PSP did an excellent job!

We had two water heaters which needed to be replaced. When we asked both water heaters be replaced, the PSP experts told us we only needed to replace one water heater. Sadly, within a year, we had to replace the second unit. This time, PSP increased the installation price by +100%. We will never utilize PSP again.

These folks responded quickly were very customer service oriented and repaired the problem in no time. No parts to be ordered—they had someone hotshot it over for a timely repair. That’s called customer service!! Will use again!

Brutal - showed up because foundation guys said I had a plumbing leak. The guys showed up, spent maybe 90 seconds looking under the house, said they couldn't see anything, but saw lots of issues and you may need to re-pipe some things, then refused to do any work while other workers were there (I understand that), and then changed me $140 for their Service Call and left. Sad. Don't call them for anything that's not simple.

I was interested in converting my shed to an apartment with a shower, sink, and toilet. I called for an estimate. Bob, the person who took my call, treated me like an idiot. I admit, I'm not a master plumber. This is the exact reason I am calling a professional. Bob did not ask me any questions to understand the situation. He just acted surprised I didn't know as much as him about plumbing installation.

Troy helped me out tremendously today with the leak from my upstairs toilet.We narrowed down the issue to a cracked PVC pipe. I did have a messed up flange as well. Troy fixed the cracked PVC pipe as well as the flange and reset my upstairs toilet.Troy also was extremely friendly with my dog and played with him a little. If you have an animal Troy is a very friendly plumber.
