Evan is a total rockstar! He is extremely thorough and hardworking and VERY clean on the job! We had a tough job of installing a new soaking tub in place of an old jetted tub and he worked his hardest to get it in the first time. But there was some demo that needed to happen. So I took care of that and today, he MADE it happen. I was so nervous because my nightly baths are my happy place. He did all he could and more to make it work. I am very appreciative of his thoroughness and positive, professional disposition and knowledge base. I’m grateful to Bill Cody and Sons for their consistent A+ work, that I’ve NEVER had an issue with, in the 20 years of using them. They seem to hire the best!

They were great! Repaired my water heater, replaced the kitchen faucet. I also have plumbing leak in back. They went under house to check out the plumbing. I know what needs repairing. They are going to provide an estimate to fix my damaged plumbing. Thanks for your honesty.

I had my dual sink removed and had a large singular sink installed. From the moment I called & spoke to Louise she made the initial virtual appointment/quote seamless. When the actual plumber Evan arrived he was amazing. He displayed great customer service, knowledge and professionalism. We will definitely be using these services in the future.

Evan and his partner came to my brother’s house to do the new plumbing for my brother’s total remodel of his bathroom. They were on time, courteous, and professional. I have had only good things to say about this company, for work done both at my home and my brother’s. My general contractor was also impressed. Thank you!The guys also repaired the washing machine connections which were about to corrode away at their last trip. Please understand that I have no complaint with the technicians. I do have a complaint with the scheduling office. I approved Evan’s estimate on Monday, and there were four more business days until Christmas Eve on Saturday. I called 3 times to get someone scheduled during those 4 business days, and nothing came of any of those calls. This meant that my brother had to stay in the hotel 8 more days at a cost of $125 per night until someone was available to finish out the job. Evan came yesterday to do the work, and it took 1/2a day, but first he was sent to Westlake to fix a broken pipe due to the hard freeze we had over the weekend. The way our job was prioritized was extremely poor! Your company can employ great technicians, but your customer service for us was a failure!!!! We are not wealthy people, and my brother is a disabled vet!!!! I have not been offered any reason why our job could not be completed in the 4 work days before Christmas weekend, also when the hard freeze hit. I truly feel that we should have been given priority over any broken pipes, and we should be compensated for the additional nights in the hotel. I am so disappointed, especially since I have had work done at my house and my brother’s by your company. Not only that, now I have to find a new plumber! So sad!!!!

Update: I have still not received a call back, but did get a response regarding this review. I have not been given another option, all I was told was that they would get back to me on what could be done and the cost, which has not happened.I had Cody & Sons look fix a leak in my shower. After the first visit, they were to order parts needed. It has now been a month since that first visit and I still have not heard anything about a part being ordered. I had to call at least 7 times to get any type of return call as they are TERRIBLE at communication, and from my experience, at customer service. It's disappointing as they are rated very highly and came recommended by a friend that works there.Again, it's been 1 month for a leak in the shower and all I get from them is I'll have a manager call.

Joseph was awesome! Him and his partner (sorry, I don’t remember his name) came and took care of my slow draining kitchen sink. They were thorough in explaining everything and up front about the cost. I’ve been using Cody and sons for 4 years now and I always recommend them to friends and family!

I experienced a water leak in my attic on December 23rd. I called was told a tech couldn’t come out till the 28th. After I called 30 minutes later Joseph returned my call and said he was on his way to my home. He found the water leak in the attic he installed a new insulated pipe. My praises go to him for repairing our leak and enabled us to have water on Christmas Day. I have used Cody and son before and would used them again. I highly recommend their work and technician, Joseph.

We had a leak that we could not find but the water meter was constantly running and our bills were over 250 a month. They were the only ones to find the leak two feet under the ground near the driveway were a pipe had cracked. The dug the hole repaired the pipe and put the dirt and grass back making it look like nothing was disturbed. Great job. We have used this company for years!!

I've done work with Cody & Sons twice now. Once was A/C related, and now plumbing. They work smart, quick, and clean up after themselves. When I needed A/C work done, Mike and Jeff tried troubleshooting solutions before replacing the most expensive part, which ended up being the necessary solution. Mike, Jeff, and Adarius were polite, clear in communication, professional, and left my home as clean as they found it. I will be calling Cody & Sons anytime I need AC or Plumbing work.

Evan & Antonio - aka The Dream Team - were able to come out same day when my plumbing was having issues (with out of town company visiting, naturally….).They talked to me about the possible fixes, best/worst case scenarios and I learned some new things about my old house. Drains cleared & all is working well.Cody & Sons are my go-to every time!

I had Cody and Sons to clear a slow drain on an upstairs restroom and laundry room. After over 800.00 I still have the same problem. They damaged the drain pipe on the laundry area and the upstairs sink still has a slow drain. I did call and they said a sales manager would get back to me. They did ask for over 2000.00 to fix the drain they damaged. I did have everything fixed by another pluming company. What more upsetting is the non responsiveness, no one ever got back to me.

Cody D arrived on time and did a fabulous job in removing the faucet and cleaning up the debris This is second time I am using Cody & sons and happy with the service. Their service charge is expensive but quality comes with cost.

*an update to my previous post*Cody and Sons resolved my previous issue with the repair process on my mini split unit. They have since been out for routine maintenance and are doing a stellar job yet again. Thanks Cody and Sons :)So disappointed. I have been with Cody and Sons since 2018. They have been maintaining two brand new systems. It’s been all fine, until one system actually needed work. They sent the SAME tech (who obviously knows nothing about mini split systems) to my house three times and then just decided to never return and communicate what the issue is.They tried to say that they had set up a “phone appointment” yesterday between 8-10am and that someone tried to reach me. That was a total lie. I received no call or voicemails all day yesterday. No one has since reached out to me. We will be moving on to a better company.

Many thanks to Big Mike and Evan with Cody and Sons. Saturday morning , sudden major leak in attic with water pouring through the ceiling and into the house. Arrived quickly , located issue , turned off the water and called the plumbing side (Evan) of the company .Big Mike and Evan were kind and patient which was so important under the circumstances. 3hrs after my initial call the leak is stopped and the cost was very reasonably. I’m a huge fan of these guys and Cody and Sons !!

As usual Cody and son plumbing did an excellent job. Everything was handled very professionally. A Darius was prompt and very courteous.

We used them several years ago and felt we were majorly overcharged for simple toilet repair. Decided to try them again for an outside repair and they cancelled 2 days in a row very late in the afternoon. Stayed at home all day waiting for them.

I can’t say enough good things about Evan. He was professional and prompt, and he explained everything he was doing in incredible detail. I will be a returning customer to Cody and Sons based on this experience. 10/10 all around

You can count on this company. They do quality work and stand by it. 4 stars as it takes many reminders for filters and needed parts during maintenance runs requiring multiple visits. Might be some communication breakdowns with the call center, scheduling, and operations. Although i like the dependability, and have completed at least 5 major installations across, gas line extensions, water filtration, humidifiers, wine room cooling unit install, and air purification.

Our A/C went out. I called he was here within 2 hours. We were very impressed with his professionalism. Will call them again and will recommend them.

Cody and Sons came out and fixed the issue I have been trying to get fixed for over a year with other plumbing companies. Matt did a great job, we were not on the property when the repair took place and we were extermely pleased when we returned and the issue was repaired.

After I finally got the appointment scheduled on 11/28.2022, Matt came and did a good job replacing the leaking copper drainpipe in the kitchen. The copper waterline to the refrigerator was also accidentally cut. I was told that they would repair it and tap into the faucet waterline. They were very professional and explained what they were doing. The leak was fixed, and the waterline was connected to the refrigerator. Hopefully stays leak free for a long time.On 12/19/2022 when the contractor was replacing the sheetrock, he noticed the PVC pipe was leaking where the rubber gasket was connected to the san tee. The pipe was loose and easily turned. He tightened the screws and it seemed to fix the problem, but I was not comfortable with the repairs and wanted a confirmation with the plumbing company who did the work before we continue with the rebuild of the kitchen. Called Cody & Sons and setup an appointment for 12/20/2022.On 12/20/2022 Evan and Antonio came to check on the repairs done on 11/28/2022. They were also very professional and friendly. Evan said that the rubber gasket is per code, but for my comfort he added a metal band over the rubber gasket. I also mentioned to them that the copper waterline to the refrigerator was also accidentally cut. I pointed to where it was connected and was told that was the hot waterline. They also said that it looks like that there was nothing done where it was connected. I am not a plumber and did not realize that there was no connection for the waterline to the refrigerator until my contractor came and pointed it out to me. Called Cody & Sons again and setup an appointment for 12/21/2022.On 12/21/2022 Evan and Antonio came again to check on the repairs on the waterline to the refrigerator. They confirmed that a new connector was needed for the waterline to the refrigerator. The connector was replaced, and Evan also check the cut copper waterline behind the sheetrock and capped it. Evan and Antonio were both again very professional, helpful, friendly and understanding about my concerns with the original repairs. I'm hoping 3rd time a charm and all the issues are permanently resolved.On 02/03/2023 Cody D fixed the leak on the hot water line. He was professional, friendly and very through. It did not take him long to identify the problem and have it fixed.

These guys came over on the eve of NYE at the last hour of the business day and solved a problem no one else has been able to fix. Happy people, happy to solve my problem. Actually they wanted to solve the problem and that makes a customer feel good. Forever thankful for making that water flow!

Never got a quote. I waited 2 days to receive a quote. It seem as Cody and Sons didnt want my business. After 2 days i contacted GreggAir, they came the same day and told me the problem, and gave me a quote, and set up an appointment

I had a minor rattling noise from my air handler which they quickly responded to and diagnosed.
The tech was friendly and was aware I was working from home. Always a great experience with Cody & Sons.

I had a great experience today with Cody and Sons. We had some dry wall damage on the ceilings due to a water leaks. The technician arrived earlier and was quick to diagnose the problem. He was able to recreate the incident and recorded on video the root cause. He fixed it and showed me pictures of the problem. He finished up and checked to make sure everything else good. Price was reasonable and didn’t seem excessive.I liked how knowledgeable and well spoken the tech was. I would definitely call them again!

Liberian did not identify the leak this time, I called back and they said they would let me know when someone would be back. No call but someone showed up 2 hours later. Still couldn't repair said the would be back at 10 am, the next day. No one showed up or called by noon, I hired someone else who fixed the issue immediately.

Cameron was great. He fixed an issue and replaced an old leaky faucet. He was super professional and a pleasure to have work at my house. The work solved my problems and I was happy to get some advice on other questions I had that were semi-related. Certainly will have Cody & Sons back when I need them. Thank you!!

Furnace went out over the weekend. Cody & Sons showed up Monday morning to diagnose. Installed new unit that afternoon. Came back Tuesday morning to make sure everything was done right. Good value for great service and quality equipment.

Jason and his assistant arrived before their scheduled time but with sufficient prior warning. All charges were carefully explained and the plumbing leak was discovered. The repair estimate was prepared and explained and once approved, they completed the repair rapidly. At all times they were careful to protect the hardwood floors from dirt or scrapes. I was provided with video of the problem and their finished work. All in all, excellent work which was reflected in the invoice.

No repair was needed because Matt was honest and gave me options for repair and replacement of the toilet. I need to be sure we had no leaks. Thanks!

Jeff was great and played a large role in our decision process to ultimately select Cody & Sons for our hvac service needs.

I have worked with Cody and Sons on a number of occasions and as usual, they did an excellent job. Adarius and Jonathan were the experts on-site and both were very polite and professional and were very skilled in completing the job. I had them install a new kitchen faucet and ensure all connections were leak free. They did an excellent job with ease. Next I had them troubleshoot a suspected blockage causing water to backup from our washing machine outlet into our half bath. They did an excellent job of determining root cause, provided a solid resolution and made some plumbing changes that will ensure that we will not have this problem again. My water heater was not working, and after calling on my usual plumbing company (not Cody and Sons), the tech told me he wouldn’t even work on my unit because of the brand and some DIY wiring that the previous owner did… even though my unit was out of warranty anyways. Dismayed, I called Cody and Sons, and Adarius looked at my unit and gave me some options for repairing or replacing. I haven’t decided yet but was pleased with how friendly and professional Adarius was. He took his time to chat with me and give me his honest professional insight. My furnace stopped working during this last arctic front. Tre with Cody & Sons came several hours before my scheduled appointment, and not a moment too soon.What made Tre's work remarkable was his care and consideration in his work. Tre's first response was not to replace parts until it worked, but to carefully diagnose the system and clean and clear internal lines until the system could function again. He was up front about his work and potential solutions (and the costs thereof).If Cody and Sons has more Tre's in their roster, they are a quality business.

Evan went the extra mile to ensure our home was leak free after we detected several gas leaks at our home.

I submitted a work order at 6 am this morning and called when they opened at 8:00 and expressed my elderly disabled parents' AC stopped working and needed someone to come by as soon as possible. WARNING!!!! The Company wanted in my opinion HIGHWAY ROBBERY $500 in addition to their $89 service charge to replace a pipe broken by weather! ! Taking advantage of the need and high demand! Never again!! Paid the service charge, and refused the robbery!!!! Same pipe burst two years ago when grid power was down, $200 maximum! Should have just waited for them!!!!!

The technician accurately diagnosed the true source of the leak (toilet flange) , repaired the toilet, and arranged for moisture abatement services to prevent mold/bacterial growth!Competent, experienced, and cared about my long-term safety and well-being.

Called this morning with our hot water not working. We found the hot water heater pan full of water. They originally had us scheduled for Friday but were able to get someone out to us this morning. Evan and his teammate did a great job. Both were friendly and efficient. I appreciate Evan taking the time to talk through our options and answering any questions we had. He made us feel like friends not just customers. Thanks guys for the hard work in this heat!

Cody and Sons VIP program for twice-a-year whole home preventative maintenance is such a good bargain. And with awesome techs like Evan you won’t be left with any issues. Evan was very respectful of our home and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with our plumbing and HVAC system.

I will start by saying the second person who came to resolve the issue when our AC stopped working, Mike, was awesome and apologetic that they had to come out twice in two weeks. That said, we are not happy that they had to come out twice in two weeks for an issue that could have been addressed the first visit, and that's why I'm giving three stars. We needed a tune up so after searching for HVAC companies I found this C&S, mom agreed and made the appointment for us. We had a tune up and we're told our system would hold all summer. Our system has an auto shut off if there's too much water in the line, and in the past we've experienced it shutting itself down because water needed to be vacuumed out/the line cleared. We wanted to be proactive and make sure this was addressed before an auto shutdown. Mom asked the tech for confirmation once the tune up was done that the line/pan all of that drain part was okay and nothing needed to be vacuumed flushed. We were told there was no issue and things looked good. No need for a clearing. He told us the pricing and offered us their maintenance plan which would make it a little cheaper and we went with that.Then, a week later when the AC shut itself down and we had to call again. I will say we were able to get someone out the next day which was a major relief! The issue was the auto shutdown because it needed to be flushed. Mike was very apologetic and got things flushed and running again. I'm happy with his service. We're just upset they had to come out twice and we had to pay twice when it could have been done the first time they came out during the tune up.C&S is very responsive, we appreciate their urgent list and the way they're able to get people out quickly. I appreciate that they were masked as we have someone in our home with intense health issues, but I do wish the first person who came was more mindful about wearing his mask properly. Overall, their workers are kind and respectful which is a bonus. Unfortunately, it's a 3/5 rating and we're hesitant to trust them again. Between their pricing and having to pay a significant amount of money across two weeks, and the issue not being resolved properly the first time, it’s difficult to say we’d return. Although mom said we could use them again for winter servicing, I’m hesitant to have them do that despite us paying for the plan. We have since noticed another concern with our HVAC system that needs to be resolved but, as I said, after our experience, we're not sure we will reach out to have them handle this project.

First time using Cody & Sons, but the service was thorough and top notch. Good knowledge and advice about my equipment (recently bought the home) and will talk you through what services you do or do not need. My tech made an excellent optional suggestion that could better protect my system based on an issue that had come up and how this could protect against a reoccurance.I will definitely be using Cody & Sons as my first choice from now on.

A/C has drain problem. Fixed that, went into attic, checked outside. Did a through job. This is a great business to use for plumbing or a/c work. Great customer service and servicemen are knowledgeable and efficient. Workers are courteous and very hard working. I Have used their service for many years and would recommend them for any of the various services they cover.

This is our 4th time using Cody& sons for various plumbing issues over the last few years . I can highly recommend these guys- they diagnose and fix the problem quickly and their prices are very competitive. Lastly, they don't try and 'upsell you'. I feel comfortable recommending them to anyone in need of plumbing repairs.

I had a nagging issue the last few years with poor water flow in just one of three sinks I couldn’t figure out. They were here the next day and fixed the problem for a reasonable fee. Before showing up I was sent a picture of the technician and their qualifications. They were friendly and professional and I will be recommending them in the future.

We had a gas leak coming out of the valve in our fireplace, we had several different plumbers come out and we picked Cody & Sons.These guys were great, professional, explained what needed to be done, we ended up paying what the estimate said we would, no extra charges or anything. Tre took care of my system. He remembered my unusual system and checked over everything. He tested our air and asked about how the system has run and any allergies we could be having. He answered all of my questions and even swept the hall where dust and insulation had fallen from the attic. Fantastic service.

Cody and sons came out to fix my AC unit about a month ago, they had availability the next day which was nice because no other AC companies did at the time. They cleared my drainage pipe which was blocked using some type of nitrogen. The technician signed off that it was up and running and told me to call them if anything else happens and that he could fix it for free if it stopped working again within 30 days. 28 days later it stopped working again, i called to schedule an appt and there was no availability for 3 days and it did not seem they would be able to honor the 30 day warranty. Therefore i called another company who could service the unit the next day. The other technician came out today and said it didn't look like it had been properly fixed the first time, he had to clear the drain again and he replaced my filter (which was another issue causing the AC to turn off). The service took longer, he replaced a part and it was somehow less expensive than Cody and Sons...

I originally called them to get a quote on Duct Cleaning but when they said it would cost $69 for someone to come out and quote it, I decided to go with the maintenance deal @$169 and get the quote for free since it's an older system and fall is upon us. I'm giving 2 starts instead of one because Christian, the tech, was a nice guy. To the nitty gritty: Christian said I needed to capacitors replaced @ $181 each, the system was low on coolant (he said R410a) and it would cost up to $555 with almost $200 just for labor since it would take about an hour to fill. I called a friend of my husband that used to work in the HVAC industry that still has his license (before Christian left) and he said those capacitors are only about a $20 retail value and the coolant was way too expensive. I declined all work. I then asked Christian about the cost for the duct cleaning, $3,000 is what was quoted, I declined that too. As we were wrapping everything up (paying the $169) I asked how bad my filter was. Christian said it will need to be replaced soon. I said the filter was supposed to be replaced and he said it was NOT included.... What did I pay for?

I had a plumbing sewer backup in my house. They came, diagnosed the problem and fixed it in a timely fashion. They also made us aware of a potential future problem that involved the city sewage line and provided video and pictures to help the city quickly diagnose the problem for a speedy resolution. The workers were friendly and personable.

Changed the wire connecting a floor furnace to the thermostat to no effect. The gas valve needs replacement. Too costly for an emergency backup. It was worth trying. Mike did a good job.

Water heater had leakage and was out. I called Cody and Sons around 8:30 am for assistance. Evan was able to see me at 2:00. My new gas water heater was in place, fully operational by 5:30. Great service!!

Cody & Sons is my go to company for all my plumbing needs. I've used them a time or two for some small jobs but just last month, I had a burst pipe just off my meter. They responded quickly; they worked efficiently, while keeping me informed through the whole process. I cant imagine ever calling another company.

I had a service completed on 7/11/22 to reattach a duct that came off in the attic. I already knew what the problem was and it was a quick 10-15 minute fix to attach it back with tape.1. In a text message before the person came out the text said They would give me up front pricing. This never happened but what the installer said was Well you know what the problem is you could cancel now and fix it yourself for free. People do this all the time. This was a very strange thing for the person to say.2. It was a 10 minute fix to tape up and then he sat in his vehicle for 30 minutes to see if it would cool down. Meanwhile I did the correct technical thing of getting a ladder and checking the temp and flow in every vent to ensure cool air was flowing out. After about 30 minutes the installer came back in and said well it cooled down 2 degrees I guess it works3. When the installer was on his ipad finalizing the job he said well all it lets me check is duct work. He acted like that wasn't really the price it should be but it was all that was available for him to check.So I ended up paying $89 for a Diagnosis when I already knew and told the company what the issue was. Then paid an additonal $304 for the installer to tape the duct back. Then he sat in the car and I did the work to ensure it was fixed correctly. I ended up paying $393 for 15 minutes of work, which is $1,572/hour, and I did half the work. This seems a bit excessive.When I told the company what the problem was they could have told me the minimum for that would have been $393 and I would have just did the work myself to begin with. The company failed to give me up front pricing which I have in a text that they would.I emailed all of this to the company and they called me back 24 hours later. I told this to the person and he said he would discuss with the owner and get back to me. It has been four days now and I have not gotten a reply back.Due to all of this I have said the company was the following1. Unresponsive (due to not getting back to me when they said they would).2. Poor value (due to charging me $1,572 an hour when I did half the work3. Not professional (due to not telling me upfront what the price would be, especially when they texted me they would do this. Plus the installer was very aloof and unprofessional.I had used the company before for my HVAC maintenance and they did fine then, but this has left a very bad impression for me.

I've used Cody & Sons for over a decade... The associates that replaced my Honeywell controller were efficient and I was able to get back to work quickly.

This is an unusual review because they have not started the project yet. However, my experience so far has been great. After getting several bids, it was not only their quote that won us over but the initial encounter with setting up appointment, the detailed information regarding our current plumbing layout and the replacement plan. They were not the lowest bid but they were the only ones who crawled under a pier and beam house. Also, they were not looking for payment until the job is done. This is rare today. When you call you feel like you are speaking to friends. I'll post again when the job is done .Follow up post:Cameron, Jonathan and his team did a great job. They were professional and respectful. We were always kept informed of their arrival and of any delays due to inspections or the job size. They worked tirelessly until the job was done. I wasn't expecting Cody until first available appointment on Wednesday. However, they put me on urgent list because we had no hot water. They came out today instead. Adarius arrived on time as promised, thoroughly checked out the situation and called me to discuss what steps needed to be taken. Service charge was less than expected. I guess because it didn't take him long to resolve the issue. I have used Cody & Sons for many years. They are always professional, on time and polite. I highly recommend them.

I was going to have A/C work at my home. The receptionist said that they would give me an estimate on the work with no service charge. I was charged $85. When I called to inquire about the charge, I got the runaround about the manager being in a meeting. For 6 hrs. Do not use this company. They are rip off artists. Glad I didn't pay for the A/C unit. ??

ALL THE STARS!! I cannot recommend this company enough. Absolutely flawless from start to finish. It's Saturday evening of a 3-day holiday weekend and I think - I am doomed! I'll be sweating for days, inside my home! Nope. Cody & Sons had a technician at my house 40 minutes after I rang them up, as a first time customer. The person who answered the call was very friendly and professional even telling me it was okay to go ahead and get in their queue and if my usual guy beat them to it, I could just cancel, no problem - better safe than sorry. THEN I received a text with my technician's name and photo, plus an email with his photo and bio, and a call from him that he was on his way. WHAT! He wore a mask (because, covid) was so nice and didn't try to push for any unnecessary work or repair. This company is a perfect model for ease of use and exceptional customer service. A 75-year-old house will teach you a lot about plumbing – and plumbers. We began working with Cody & Sons 20 years ago after an independent neighborhood plumber let us down. Cody & Sons plumbers have helped us with everything from small leaks to major repairs, and they have always been responsive, skilled, and extraordinarily professional. Aaron and Micah recently replaced a water heater for us. It wasn’t an easy project, but it was clear from the start that they knew what they were doing – and we couldn’t be happier with the finished product. The only good thing about plumbing problems is getting to work with Cody & Sons. I've used them several times over the past 6 years. Last week, Evan and his co-worker repaired damage that occurred because I put corn husks down the garbage disposal which clogged my pipes and caused the contents of my garbage disposal to shoot out of the wall in the utility room. Evan and his co-worker got everything working again, and now I hope to have them relocate pipes in my utility room that were improperly installed before I bought the house. Tech/Franco very focused & thorough. Tested/measured all the electric parts, changed all filters, checked coolant pressure, washed compressor per a $99.00 special offer. I wanted an additional 3 inch pad raising compressor out of rain water. He explained & showed why this would be a disconnect with reconnect with new ultraviolet -proof foam cover for $860 with 1 yr parts & labor warranty. I approved and learned much about house humidity as he worked a half day job. This is my third contact & will do it again (plumbing & air).

Bummed. I’m a small business and contacted them for a quote. I told them what we needed and that we were an empty lot with no plumbing but just looking for a water line to water plants and see if a single bathroom would be possible. The lady on the phone set me an appointment for someone to come give us a quote, great! Well that day came and went and no one showed or called. I called the following day and the guy that answered told me that because it was a new build they weren’t taking it on an “oh sorry I guess no one called to tell you” I told him it’s not a new build, nothing permanent will be built on the property and he said that he would have a manager call me to discuss it. It’s been 6 days and no one called. I called because of all the positive reviews, sad I didn’t have a good experience.

Cody & Sons changed a faucet at my house recently, but they have also repaired many water pipe leaks from the winter storm and cleaned ducts and vents. They are always polite and professional. They explain their work they will be doing clearly and do a good job. I recommend them highly.

Atmo’s gas is replacing all the main gas lines in my area. They put in new main lines and had a third party plumbing company out to attach move my gas meter and connect new lines to my gas system. Well I had a gas leak and Atmo’s contracted plumbing company said I needed to hire my plumbing company to fix the leak. Well I did some research on line and with the BBB and found Cody and Sons Plumbing. Great reviews so I called them. I was quoted an estimate to conduct a leak test on the piping system and felt it a reasonable price. They sent 2 of their plumbers to my home the same day Matthew Allen and Jonathan Everett. I want to say these gentlemen were very professional wore mask and shoe coverings. And proceeded to find and repair the leak. The price was as quoted and I could not be more pleased with Cody and Sons and Matthew and Jonathan. I never really had to use a plumbing service before and I will Use Cody and Sons as my plumbing company in the future for any needed work. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Every encounter has been positive, honest, and helpful. Matt and James were great, not only did they fix what I had called about in a timely and professional manner, but they also discovered another issue while working AND took the time to repair it as well. They also answered every question I had and James explained to me exactly what they were doing. Devon from their office staff is incredible as well, always helpful, so friendly and responds to emails quickly. I will always use Cody and Sons!!! Customer for life!

We have used Cody & Sons many times before, and recently replaced one of our 20+ year old AC units with them. It was an overall outstanding experience. Mike was very pleasant to work with, he was courteous and professional, and the installation crew led by Jimmy was wonderful; they followed covid-19 guidelines and kept their masks on the entire time they were working. Katie, who handles dispatch, was very organized and stayed on top of scheduling inspections, communicating, taking care of warrantees, etc. She even found some rebates offered by Oncor and applied for us. Overall, the staff at Cody & Sons was wonderful to work with. In addition, the pricing was very reasonable and explained up front - one fixed cost was agreed upon. We had a great experience with Cody & Sons and would definitely recommend them.

Mike came to figure out why our blower was so loud. Showed us where it was broken. Couldn’t get the actual part same day so replaced it with a smaller motor until correct part arrived. He came back today and installed correct blower and did the check up that we signed up for on the whole system. He is very honest, showed us a few possible problems and made suggestions. Will definitely continue to do business with this company.

Along with half of Dallas, my downstairs a/c stopped working on 7/20/18. After being turned down for service by another company, I left a service request for Cody and Sons over the weekend and they promptly contacted me on the following Monday, offering me the next available appointment the following Friday. They gave me a window from 3:00 to 6:00. I was very pleased to get a call from the tech at 2:30 saying he was 30 minutes away. When he arrived, the tech quickly diagnosed the problem and conducted all necessary repairs quickly and cleanly, and I believe at a fair price. I am sorry I do not remember the tech's name, but he was extremely friendly and professional. I will definitely use Cody & Sons again when circumstances require such services.

I called Cody & Sons, and they patiently explained potential issues and solutions. The plumbers they sent were courteous and thoroughly tested all of my gas lines. They ended up repairing everything for less than one-fifth of the other company's estimate without doing any damage to my property.Needless to say, I was extremely relieved when all was said and done. Cody & Sons is my go to plumbing company. They’re on time, prices are reasonable and the plumbers know what they’re doing. I trust them to not overcharge and to get the job done.

They are professional and kind. Unfortunately there are a few communication issues sometimes. Like when one group who came out to fix the freeze damage then the next came out to fix the sink damage that the freeze group found, but never said anything in the notes for the home. I was also under the impression that they did a temporary fix on it, but no. I was ultimately flooding under my home because of that damage. I just need you guys to be on-top of making notes in the systems for addresses so different employees know what to expect of the home on what others have noticed and conversations on what the customers may want to do in the home in the future. I really do appreciate everything. One more issue is that if a renters needs to have someone come out to the home for a plugged pipe issue, we shouldn't be told that only the homeowner can give permission, especially if the owner isn't the one paying the bill.

Cody has done plumbing repairs for us before, and they've done a great job. This is definitely not the main thrust of their business any longer. The work done was substandard. For a bathtub with a frozen valve, not only was the work I requested not done, in fact I was told I didn't need it done, and could have a less expensive fix. This fix did not work. They left me with two leaking pipes which had not been leaking previously. They had to dismantle my sink because, they said, a quarter was wedged in it. It was put back together badly, and the bowl is now unstable and wobbles. I'm so disappointed.

Another welcome experience with Cody & Sons. This time was a tankless water heater flush/maintenance. Matt took time after the service to answer any questions (and so had quite a few). Next up, hvac tune-up. Professional & knowledgeable technicians every time - I think this was our 3rd or 4th visit and we now have a maintenance contract.

I recently had a hot water heater installed by Cody and Sons. They were able to come out to do the installation the same day that I called. This was fantastic. Brad showed up to perform the installation. He was incredibly professional and did a great job of installing the heater in a short amount of time. I will definitely be using Cody and sons for all of my plumbing needs.

Aaron did a great job for us! He is super knowledgeable and has lots of foresight to problem solve. He went above and beyond to help us with our problem and wanted to solve our problem and think about the cost as well and then figured out which answer would give us the biggest bang for the buck. He is kind and I felt super safe having him in our home, especially since my husband was out of town. He took on and off his booties every time he came in and out to keep from tracking in the dirt. We are definitely using Cody and Sons in the future and encourage everyone else to as well.

Update: Changing review from 1 to 4 stars - The owner of the company personally reached out to me and escalated my issue, and got the job taken care of which is much appreciated. There was continuous follow-up after that and they are going to check back in again in the future to insure the repair is complete.Original:I spent $3.5k through Cody and Sons to have a crawl space water line leak repaired. They told me they fixed it, but a week and a half later the crawl space is still flooded. Had them out for a return inspection, initially told me it would be under $2k to fix what I already paid them to fix. I waited a few days to hear back when I got a new $3.5k invoice with no explanation. I called asking why the huge price increase compared to when they were here two days prior and HAD ALREADY PAID FOR THEM TO FIX THIS ISSUE and was told I would be contact by a manager to explain - they never called back and that was over a week ago. Terrible service!

My 5 ton air handler and heat pump went out. I called several companies to get an estimate. Some of the estimate were lower and some were higher. We decided to go with Cody and Son due to the relationship established by Jeff (service tech) and his ability to answer all the questions we had posed to him. They did a great job! I called 8 companies and they were the only ones available same day. Also their fee to drive out and inspect the problem was the closest of all 8. Two people showed up, but they didn’t have a ladder long enough to reach the roof. Within 20mins they had a third guy there with a 30’ ladder. I’m very satisfied. I don’t leave reviews, but they earned this one.

I have used Cody & Sons for years. As they have grown over the years their service has increased. Great communications, great coordination and great service. They call and email as well as sending photos of your technicians that will be coming to your home. I've never been disappointed and I wasn't with my most recent frozen pipe issue.

I had (2) Carrier Infinity 19 seer systems installed by another company 26 months ago. A 4-ton unit downstairs and a 3-ton unit upstairs. The upstairs unit quit working on 6/8/2020. Called that company that did the original install to come out in March to do my annual checkup on my systems, but they weren’t doing maintenance calls only new installs. Called them out for this problem and the tech told me after was here less than 2-minutes, that the units I had weren’t very good , that I should have bought a Trane, not realizing his company had installed them. Then kept telling me my compressor was out, wasn’t even listening to what I had to say, wouldn’t pay attention to the code being displayed on the thermostat, kept trying to sell me a maintenance agreement, because it was going to cost me $1,300 to change out the compressor that wasn’t bad. The code said it was the converter that had gone bad. Cody & Sons brought the converter (a large circuit board) and the tech, Mike was extremely professional, he checked everything possible and determined after all, that the circuit board was bad. After replacing the board and reprogramming the thermostat, our system is working just like the day it was installed. I highly recommend Cody & Sons, they’re everything you want in a company and more !!!

UPDATE:We finally heard back from the company and they provided a proper paperwork for my insurance claim to be processed and reimbursed.It took a couple of months to get the paper work request completed , but I hope this won't happen again.===========================================================We used them to fix water leaks from damaged pipes this summer. I would not use them again and would not recommend their service for two reasons.First, as I filed a claim with my insurance from the water damage, an itemized invoice was required for reimbursement. Both I and my insurance adjusters tried to contact managers numberous times, however, they never responded to me or insurance adjusters or provided a documdent. I couldn't submit a document that was required for reimbursement - therefore, no reimbursement from insurance.Second, the plumber missed some leak spots in the kitchen during the first visit/work, we had to hire them again and of course paid for the sencond job.Overall, my personal experience with Cody and Sons was not satisfactory at all despite of some positive reviews that we initially had seen online.

Having used Cody and Sons for years, I asked them to find a major leak in my water system, to check out my hot water heater, and re-vent my dryer which has become a fire hazard. As always, Cody and Sons met the challenge. Mark is a personable, helpful, polite and professional young man. He arrived with tools and testing equipment in hand and diagnosed the issue very quickly. He went to work and got us cool again quickly and for a fair price. Mike was great. He did not talk down to me and explained and showed me everything he did. I would definitely recommend.

Within only a few minutes of calling, two repairmen were at my door. Cody & Sons came out to fix several plumbing issues with a new house I was buying. They went above and beyond to test that there were no other issues and got things working. Once I moved in, I had a reoccurring issue with a backed up toilet and they came right out to fix it under warranty. Bill Cody & Sons showed up on time, quickly analyzed the problems I was having with leaking under my kitchen sink, found the problem, fixed it and fixed a leaking Moen faucet to boot. Very friendly and informative. I felt the cost was fair and was happy with the results including a 2 year warranty on the repair.

Felipe was fantastic! First, before he ever came inside he put little slipper thingys on his shoes. Not necessary but a nice touch and very thoughtful. I like using a local business that’s been around for quite awhile and doesn’t spend a fortune for advertisement on the morning news. They don’t need the advertisement, word of mouth is working just fine for them. The guys were very professional and safety conscious in this COVID19 world we live in now. Used their services twice. They've worked on issues both in the interior and exterior of the home. The interior was a job another company couldn't resolve. The exterior included new equipment and to a major water leak. They have been early to both jobs and have been honest, professional, and efficient. Their pricing has been great. A thankless jobI want to start out by saying I had high expectations for Cody & Sons as their reviews reflect excellent customer service as well as excellent productivity. However, my experience was none of the sort. I reached out to Cody & Sons on Friday May 1, 2020 because of the random faint smell of sewer in my home. A pretty straightforward conversation was held via text message that resulted in me providing my information through email to schedule an appointment for that following Tuesday May 5, 2020 between the hours of 1-5pm.Now because we are ALL going through trying times, I felt compelled to let the company know as I was booking my appointment (on May 1st) that I am a ICU nurse and I can provide mask if needed. Never once did anyone reach out to me regarding this information.Fast forward to Tuesday May 5 approximately 2:07 in the afternoon, I called to make sure someone was still coming out and the representative I spoke with over the phone confirmed as well as a separate text message came through confirming the appointment.About an hour later I received a phone call from Randy who identified himself as the owner. Randy told me none of his technicians felt comfortable coming to my home to fulfill the service because I AM A NURSE. Being a nurse is the most thankless job next to law enforcement. I work OVERNIGHT managing very critical patients with life altering medications, bathing, soothing both patient and family, as well as dealing with the anxiety of bringing ANYTHING home to my toddler and husband. The last thing I was ever worried about was being discriminated against because of my line of work.Randy felt comfortable enough with the response from his “12 technicians “ to call me and let me know no one was coming out. This was about the only thing honorable with this experience. This encounter followed with two phone calls from two different technicians saying they didn’t know about the appointment, which I kindly let one of them know “I made this appointment last week”. We are now at 3 pm during the scheduled time a technician was suppose to be here. So at this point I am insulted and disappointed in the community I serve.I PROUDLY work the frontlines and will continue to work the frontlines. But I want to say this, NURSES, practice with the utmost precaution. I can’t say the same about the person next to you at the grocery store, gas station, or the person you handed your card to while paying for your food.

Eric was so nice! He was knowledgeable about our tankless, told us exactly what he would be doing to service our hot water heater and how long it would take. We love Cody and Son’s and highly recommend them!

Today is the second time we have used Cody and Sons and we have been very happy with their work both times. We were having a minor plumbing emergency this time and they were able to get plumbers to our house in about an hour and a half. A part was needed for one of our fixtures and they were able to go get it and solve our problem.

Another company tried to sell me on a many-thousand-dollar replacement of an entire AC unit. Cody & Sons was able to repair my unit for a fraction of the price. These guys are honest and good at their job. I will use them again.

I used Cody and Sons to fix my PRV (plumbing) and valve. Although the job cost more than what I initially planned for, I ended up happy with the results.The team listened well, adjusted the solution to what I wanted, and treated me professionally. Big Mike came in and fixed an issue with short cycling on the compressor that was caused by previous tech over charging with refrigerant. Covered under warranty.

This company is so amazing and honest. I have a beyond super old unit (literally from 1984) and it wasn’t working. They came out within 12 hrs of me calling and could have told me anything (I obviously know nothing about HVAC units). Could have said we need to replace the entire thing and I would know no different, but instead where honest about the repair needed. Fixed it right then! Would highly recommend.

I own a home built in 1930. The technicians took time to explain what the problems were, the most cost effective repairs and what may be expected with older plumbing/pipes in the future. I really appreciated the time they took to explain to me these things. They arrived on time and were quick to make the repairs.

During the past four years, Cody & Sons have provided reliable, fast, and professional plumbing service for our home. James, our plumber today, was no exception to that rule. A call to Cody & Sons found James at our doorstep within 30 minutes. He worked quickly to remedy our drain problem and spent time making sure the bathroom and entrance was cleaner than when he arrived. This is a great company with which to do business.

Unless you want to go 2 days without your heater and them they tell you it's your fault then dont call this company. Spoke with owner who was the rudest out of everyone I encountered. I paid them 205$ for 15 min of work to change a gas flex pipe on my water heater. The technician did not go in my attic to light my burner again for the heater to actually turn on. Now I have to leave work to meet them and no accommodation or apologies. Their leg to stand on is that they just had a another hvac tech to my house who noted down the year of my furnace. So he went off that instead of verifying what needed to be done. I'm convinced all their reviews are coerced with some sort of discount i was overcharged and received horrible service.

They came out the same day I called, located the leak in the pasture within 30 minutes and dig through nasty mud to fix the leak. Then they went to the barn and fixed two leaks there- even with my horses in the way trying to help them! They could not have been nicer or more efficient and patient. I really appreciate their service and the price was more than fair for all the work they did!!

I called about a hot water tank that would not remain lit. They came out and examined and said the ignition was faulty and would need to be replaced. This is an older hot water tank. They ordered the part but did not call back for installation. I had to call them and the part had a different person’s name which is why I was not called. We scheduled the install which they did promptly upon finding the part. However, they did not check the water heater for gas leaks (which I would thought would be SOP for an older tank). Within a few days, I began to smell gas. I had a reputable plumber (whom I have used in the past) come out and his equipment showed the tank was leaking gas. So I was out the cost of the igniter and weeks of time without hot water as well as my home being at risk with a gas leak.

Several days ago James and Ian came out to advise me regarding locating my sewer line in preparation for doing a camera inspection. They were on time, friendly and professional. Brad just completed the scope of my sewer line. He was on time and diligent and efficient. He explained every part of the process and was patient with me as I watched the camera move through the pipe. I questioned him about different aspects of his job and his work.Technicians, James, Ian and Brad and Celeste in the office have all done an outstanding job taking care of me and my plumbing needs. Mikey was professional and very helpful. He was the third person to come evaluate my 15yo AC unit. Instead of insisting I needed a new unit he first ran diagnostics and fixed my AC in no time at all.I'm sure I'll need a new unit eventually and because of Mikey's great service, Cody& Son's will be at the top of my list.

The company wad good about setting the appointment, even arrived super early. The technician is my problem. Chopped up my wall, destroyed the sheetrock and took the box for my faucet. Once I arrived to inspect the work discovered there is no HOT water now. Sad, the quality of work shown to others I did not get. I am a new customer that will not return. I do not recommend this company.

The Technician's work was good, but he left my fence gate open after cleaning the coil in the back yard. My skiddish puppy-mill rescue dog got and I spent 45 minutes in the dark trying to find her. Luckily I got her back but I am very unhappy about this. Their prices also seem very high. I've had good experiences with this company in the past, but the whole experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I will not be renewing my service plan with this company and will be seeking out another HVAC company to keep on retainer.

I contacted Cody and Sons to do some plumbing work on a property that I have listed for sale. Cody and Sons was retained to correct bathroom plumbing that was incorrectly installed by another local plumber. In addition, Cody and Sons repaired a water leak in the slab foundation. Initially, an estimate in the amount of $2000 was received for the slab leak repair from another plumber. However, this estimate was only to dig for the leak outside the property at the water hose spout. I was advised if the leak was not there I would have to pay additional costs for a Slab Leak Specialist. Cody and Sons detected the leak (precisely) for a minimal fee and the slab leak repair was completed within 1 business day. The office staff was very professional, scheduled the repairs timely, explained the process and pricing up front. There were no hidden costs and the work was completed in alignment with the estimate quoted. The Journeyman (Sean) was a seasoned professional and he took great care of the property while completing the work. The team cleaned up after the repairs with minimal dust. Since the repairs, I have referred four friends and neighbors. It is FINALLY nice to find a plumber that has good customer service, a professional staff, reasonable prices and provides a genuine labor guarantee.

This is the second time I’ve used Cody and sons plumbing for a different problem. This summer the gas company replaced gas lines in my neighborhood. They sent their own plumber to relight my gas water heater. I noticed the constant smell of gas after that contract plumber relit my gas water heater after bleeding the line. It appears ONCOR Energy and/or Mastek is sending unqualified plumbers to do gas water heater bleeding and relighting. Their plumber did tell me he only had One year’s experience.I contacted Cody and Sons Wednesday morning. They arrived before noon. They followed proper procedures during this COVID-19 pandemic. They were quick, courteous, and efficient. They explained that it was a loose connection that the other plumber had left.I will seek reimbursement from ONCOR energy and Mastek since they sent the unqualified plumber.So Cody and sons did a leak test and re-tightened everything. They tested my water heater to be sure it’s operating correctly. Only charged me the $59 for the service call. I’m a very satisfied customer.Will use Cody and sons again. This is yet another reason why one should use a qualified plumber.

Outstanding performance and customer care. Tony was my technician and did a thorough job of tuning up my A/C system. Previous poster was correct about coolant (freon) as is quite expensive. (Are newer units phasing this out?) There was an irritating rattle going on in the left living room vent, whenever A/C would come on. Tony was awesome to return; fix the annoying problem and not even charge me for a return visit. My only recommendation would be for the company to hire a retired tech in the office. They would be able to help the girls answer many questions of callers regarding technical issues. This is a top-notch company with a stellar reputation for customer satisfaction. Called them out to help with a water softener problem. They said they worked on them. When they got there the tech was basically a deer in headlights and scared to work on it.They might be great in other areas I am sure but do not call them to work on your water softener. I had Mark with Cody & son's plumbing to look at my on demand water heater that hadn't worked properly for 2 1/2 years that was installed from another plumbing company that had came back 5 or 6 times trying to fix the problem when they install the water heater when the house was built. Mark called a manufacturer rep and both of them showed up on time. They both analysis the water heater by taking pressure test on the gas and flow rate of the water and then set the dip switches in the water heater correctly. My on demand water heater works perfectly. I would recommend Cody & son's in the future. Herm

Seemed pretty expensive to me, but what do I know. The serviceman was very nice and tried to explain everything to me with photos. He suggested a couple of other things to be done based on the photos. The office was responsive every time I needed to talk to them.

They came out after hours with 100 plus degree weather, diagnosed, got the replacement part and efficiently had our unit up and running in 1 and 1/2 hours . I looked at the Nextdoor App online for recommendations for a plumber for what I thought was a water heater problem. Cody & Sons was highly rated, so I called them. It was late in the day, but their office contacted one of their plumbers already in my locale. The plumber came out and quickly assesed the problem making the necesary repair. They were very courteous and professional, so I plan to keep their phone # handy for any future plumbing needs.

When I did a search on Google for plumbers to unclog toilets, Cody & Sons Plubing came up with a rating of 4.9 and over 500 reviews. That is really unheard of but after using them today, I see why they have such an outstanding rating.They were at the house within an hour of me calling them. The 2 service technicians that came, I don’t know how they managed, but walked into a biohazard sewage mess and handled it like the pros they are. They even gave my disabled, elderly landlord a senior citizen discount!It took a while, but that was no fault of theirs. They had to unclog 2 toilets. Thank you Cody & Sons! I will refer you every chance I get!!!

Eric was fantastic, along with his apprentice. Very thoughtful, took time to explain to me what they were doing and why they needed to do it. Mark and crew have been really responsive and professional on our Master Bathroom shower installation of a Kohler DTV+ system and jets and steam shower unit and jetted tub. Jeff came to my townhouse and stayed for at least half an hour, taking a look at every part of my AC system that could be causing my high energy bills, then explained exactly what the issue was, how to fix it and what to look out for in the future. After all that, he didn't charge me for anything other than the refrigerant he added. 10/10, will call again.

Very punctual. The office called 30 minutes ahead of time to let me know the guys are on their way to my house. I really appreciate this because I have many things to do and this way I’m not tied down to the house. I’m not in the plumbing business but I believe they’re pricing is honest and straightforward.

I called Cody and Sons to get an estimate for a bathroom sink that the cold water was not running through. Two guys came out and after a few trips to their vehicle they came and told me they replaced a stem and we’re going out to write up my bill. I didn’t know what to say. He came back in and told me my bill was $169! I explained that we were just suppose to be getting an estimate. He apologized and said he could not do an estimate without changing out the parts. He was a nice gentleman for the whole 20 minutes he was here. He replaced a $14 part from Home Depot. Then charged $169. Not estimated. Charged! Cody and Sons just costs to much and has bad communication to customers. After paying him my husband still has to go to Home Depot to get a new aerator. The plumbers apparently don’t carry these! Too much $$ and still not 100%!

Matt came the same day to fix our shower drain issue. He was professional and competent. We were lucky yo get him.

Came right back out when the first fix didn't work!

Great job by Cody and Chris. Cody knew exactly what the problem was with a leak in the drain line in the kitchen. The copper line was replaced with pvc as was the cast iron cleanout. The bricks were carefully removed from the outside for the repair and mortared back in very well.

Brad & Chad quickly repaired a broken & badly leaking outside faucet with a new style that offers frost protection & offered advice on attaching hoses for best long-term results. We're looking forward to having them maintain our plumbing. As our home has aged, so have we, & neither of us is as strong or well-functioning as we used to be!

I have an a/c unit that is too small for my home. In, addition it gets too hot in my attic. An inspector came soon after I had called. Very professional and gave me a quote afterwards broken up into tasks. This help put in perspective what I could afford to get done and what wasn't. I didn't use them just cause of pricing.

Initially called because of a clog in the kitchen sink. They came out, put a snake in the pipe and cleared it ($245). About 2 hours after they left, I noticed a sewer smell. Went into the bathroom and noticed the shower basin is filled with black water. I called and left a message, but haven’t heard back from them. I feel ripped off.
