Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Their team was professional and timely, and they were able to resolve my problem on the same day that I called to make an appointment. However, I must mention that the cost of their service was a bit higher，the hourly rate for diagnosis was $369 instead of the advertised $99 on their website. Additionally, I was charged $950 for a simple T-joint replacement. I would advise anyone considering their services to be aware of the potential costs involved and to clarify any pricing discrepancies before proceeding with the work.

I have multiple issues with Roto-Rooter. One, they never gave us any heads up (call or text) before showing up to our house. Two, we had a leak in a pipe under the side of the house that we had to shut off all our water for. We called Roto-Rooter out to give us a quote and they dug out a huge hole in the ground in our front yard and then notified us that they would be back the following day with a specialist to fix the leak. The following day rolls around (after over 24 hours without access to water in our home) and the same guy shows up (with no notice) and is literally just messing around the hole and he says he is waiting for the specialist. 2 hours later, he comes to the door and tells us so I'm not sure when the specialist is going to get here, so this is just wasting our time waiting around and my boss is telling me to leave.I took off now 2 days from work for them to just leave the job. That is unacceptable!Now we are going on 2 days with no water in our home and Roto Rooter has done nothing but hinder us getting the leak fixed, and having our water turned back on.Would NEVER recommend this unprofessional service to ANYONE!!

Andres and CB were amazing! Fast service and even brought to my attention things I wouldn’t have seen or known about otherwise! Everything happened so fast can’t even believe it. Highly recommend especially if you get these two on your call.

Andres spent a lot of time answering my questions about options for the immediate problems as well as maintenance vs replacement of fixtures. He also offered tips for avoiding future problems. Had a pipe burst in our house, and we had no way to turn off the water at the street due to it being locked with a special key. Water was gushing everywhere, and we were freaking out. We called 3 plumbing companies, the city of Dallas, and emergency service hot lines to no avail, however when we called Roto Rooter, Gerrell came within the hour, handled the issues, and gave us incredible peace of mind. A great experience during a stressful situation!!

Edit: Took my first shower, and the problem is right where we were before. I'm a little irked as we were told that they ran hot water for 30 minutes with no problems, and a 3 minute shower backed up the system like before. I notified the company and am expecting a call. We will see where this goes.Called them at 11:00am, had Todd (super friendly and professional) here by 1:00pm as promised. Was straight forward about what was wrong (ended up needing to clean out the mainline). Told me the price up front once we agreed on the work that needed to be done ($$$ matched what my plumber family friend said the going rate is). Plumbing is expensive, just like electrician work, that's just the way it is. Regardless of who is working on your house, it's always a good idea to get an upfront all-in quote before work begins to avoid sticker shock/$$ expectations.Very happy with my service. Will use them again in the future if needed.

Eric was the guy that made it out on a Sunday night after what was clearly a long day for him. Had service the prior Friday, but it turned out we needed the city to come out for their part. That was Saturday. Eric listened to the details, what was done Friday, what the city did, what was the remaining issue. Polite, kind, knowledgeable and willing to share tips to avoid future problems. Eric worked quickly and kept us informed of what was happening. This guy is a treasure.

They came to my house today as a follow-up service to a drain cleaning a couple of months ago. There is a warranty included with the service, so today's visit was free.Robert, the plumber who was sent to our house, immediately identified additional issues that were still occurring. He quickly resolved these issues, confirmed that they were fully and completely resolved, and then explained them to me. The drain is now functioning like new, and the additional information he provided to me will allow me to perform better ongoing maintenance on it myself as well.Everything didn't work out perfectly the first time when they came out, but they have proven to be a trustworthy company that has followed through on their commitment to providing quality service.

My elderly parents paid 4,500 dollars to have their sewer line rooted from house to city connection, still have drain issue. They were quoted another 2,000 to remove toilet to clear from toilet to sewer line. Even with the bad economy, over 4 grand charged and no resolution. Taking advantage of the elderly.

The service I received today from Roto Rooter was excellent. The issue was a stopped up sewer line and was an emergency. The technicians were confidence builders from the moment they arrived at the property and quickly analyzed the problem and then solved it!

They arrived in thirty minutes after my call at a Sunday Morning. They were very efficient.

Main line was backed up. They cleared the line and then showed me the inside of the pipes with their camera scope. The techs were knowledgeable and were able to answer my questions and concerns.

Efficient analysis and detection of drain blockage point. Rapid use of electric eel cleared the problem. After hour service on a long weekend was appreciated.

Plugged up kitchen sink. The technician was prompt, courteous, tidy and effective. A little pricey but 6 month warranty, so no complaints at all

I’m sure this place is great for emergencies but other than that, I feel a bit like we were scammed / ripped off / cheated. When calling for service, we made it very clear what we were wanting (3 sink faucets installed/upgraded). We kept asking what the standard rate of service is / what the hourly rate is / anything - but the person refused to give us a rough estimate (and while I understand the hesitation to provide any sort of quote that risks a price she could’ve been held to (depending on the customer / Karens of the world), I think it would be better business to have some sort price range to provide potential customers (especially when asked - how could there not be a range of hourly rates??) Anyway, we scheduled to have a plumber come by and check it out because we need the work done. The following day, the plumber was over 2 hours late (we were in fact called prior and warned about this (even though said plumber said he wasn’t very busy that day??)) and we show him what we are wanting (should be fairly simple for a pro) - but then to our utter shock and dismay, he quotes us over $750 for a 2 hour job. ABSURDITY! If the person we spoke to on the phone even hinted that the hourly rate was $150+, we would’ve said no thank you. But per their method of doing service, we are out $70 regardless for them to show up and quote us this insane price. I am sure this is done on purpose and is great for their bottom line but it has convinced us to NEVER want to do business with them again.

On time and very professional. Also trust worthy. The technician thought my problem was a faulty gas valve. The next day when he returned to do the replacement he said he spoke to someone and researched and it seems that because of the heat wave we are getting in Texas the water heater shut down because it’s thinking the water is too hot. He adjusted the temperature and reset the water heater and all is working fine. Saved me over half of the original estimate! I would absolutely call them again.

All 3 guys who came out (consultation, plumbing tech and drain tech) were extremely personable and got the job done very quickly. Called Saturday night and the whole job was completed Tuesday afternoon. As first time home owners, it’s a little overwhelming when you flush the toilet and it starts coming up out of the bathtub but they were amazing to work with, They were incredibly fair with pricing and did not nickel and dime us at every turn or try to sell us unnecessary services. SUPER! I couldn't be any happier with the service I received. The technician was professional, explained what he'll do clearly. We called them after another plumber caused more damage than previous stage, and broke a pipe inside the wall. Roto Rooter technician also informed us that we can get the walls inspected by them, covered under the service call. Because of the previous plumbers damage, we had tile discoloration inside our bathroom too, and worried that the damage was bigger than what we could see. The inspector showed up right away to take care of it as well. Roto Rooter technician knew exactly what needed to be done, explained every steps and was communicative during the entire visit. We're very happy!

I freaking love this place. Since being a homeowner I’ve had tricky plumbing, this is the eighth company I’ve had out. And by far the best. Emilio is a genius. The pricing was extremely fair for a large company, they were on time. 10/10

While the toilet did get fixed, the repairman came over two hours past the repair window then did not properly clean up after the toilet replacement. When spending $650, it would be nice to get a final mopping with cleaner when there was sewer water on the ground rather than a redumentary cleaning with paper towel with no cleaner.

AC primary drain was clogged in the bathroom sink so the water was dripping from the secondary drain outside the house. I called so many plumbers including Angie's list and Home Advisor not only they were overpriced but rude as well besides I couldn't get anyone to come out on Saturday so I googled plumbers and fortunately I came across Root Rooter and they sent Colby the technician within an hour he charged me $69.00 but was very through, he is kind & also very intelligent and went beyond call of duty to help me in my dire need. My plumber was here for less than 10 minutes and charged me for 30 minutes @ $185/half hour. Total rip-off because the person I booked with on the phone said she didn’t know what the rates were, but the man who came to do the work said their rate was always $185/ half hour. They know that if you have waited for the plumber to get to you, you’ll be too desperate to turn them away.

They do excellent work and I always know they will be on time and professional. I do however feel like the services can be more expensive than other plumbers in the area. Like $380 to get a $30 part installed in 10 minutes + 45 mins to go buy the part at Home Depot. Especially when I have used them several times in the last year, the rates seem all over the place.

The first time I used this company it was great!! The 2nd time it was great too until I no longer can get ahold of the 2 guys that came out to the house. I called the #s on both of their bc and called the main #, I did get a call back from a manager that said he would have both of them contact me....nothing. The camera guy suggested I get the city out and I did. The city told me that Roto Rooter guy didn't clean everything out like he said he did. Anyway, kinda feel lied to too and cheated out of 450.00! They are good but be careful they don't try to sell you something you don't need

Kelvin showed up on time, toured the site, discussed the problems I was having, outlined what he would do, and gave me a reasonable bid. He was able to resolve both of my issues within the hour! Kelvin was efficient, polite, and very respectful of our house as he worked. He restored each site to its original condition as he finished. Professional, knowledgeable and thorough. David identified the first leak in our sewage line really quickly, and fixed it. David made sure that it fixed the issue, and managed to find a second leak in the same line as a result. Isaiah made sure that all the moisture in the framing around the sewage was dry before we replaced the drywall.

Called for emergency service at about 11PM. Decided to wait until morning and was given a 4 hour window 8AM-12PM. 8AM the Man showed up and got the job done quickly! He also fixed my garbage disposal...that was ?unpugged! Anyways it was nice because they put me as the 1st appointment because of my situation being more of am emergency. Overall it was good. No issues. The man was very kind and didnt make any mess! 5 stars is for the plumber himself. It is not the cheapest service thats for sure. But it has great people from the call center woman who made my appointment to the plumber at my house. Please recognize your employees! They work hard!

Initial repair man who helped locate and diagnose my problem was professional, prompt and very polite and easy to deal with. The specialist that came (I have lined sewer pipe) completed the evaluation and the crew with him did an amazing job of digging, repairing and then restoring the area, almost like new. Roto rooter is a total ripoff. Do not call them.Charged $340 to tell me the leak was under the foundation which we already knew. Duh, water coming through the foundation?Quoted 14K not including fixing the drywall/carpet. Tried to sell me restoration even before fixing the leak. I got the leak fixed by another plumber who charged me less than 1/3rd the price.

Very professional and timely, even though it was late at night! Crew came in and did their work, fixing the issue. My biggest complaint (not the fault of the crew) was that the price was 2-3x higher than I've paid other plumbers, and that just seems wrong. So service is good, if you can pay for it.

I got quick free quote from Company and rate is reasonable. Immediatly accepted the quote sent reply work on the request. and that email was never communicated to service represntative untill i followup on following day. they all work in very disconnected in my opinion, requested for service on thursday and work done on Monday and i had to do multiple followups on teh same.

I spent 2.5 hours waiting for the plumber to arrive before finally giving up. I called Roto Rooter three different times while waiting to request an update on the plumber's arrival and was passed to dispatch each time. Three times I was told I would receive a prompt call back updating me on his ETA, but that never happened. It's far passed the end of the day and I never got one phone call with an update, an apology, or a request to reschedule. I understand everyone is busy these days, but the lack of communication from this company is unacceptable.

$495 for a simple kitchen sink unclogging. Just outrageously expensive for such a minor repair. Was shocked. I know attorneys who charge less per hour.

Our technician (Joe Wilson) arrived on time and saved us from making a huge mistake. We had past quotes from another company that said our water line was cracked and needed to be repaired ASAP. Joe showed us that there were no cracks and didn’t need to repair the water line. His honesty and professionalism saved us from a 9k-18k repair that wasn’t even needed. That is why I will only deal with Roto Rooter moving forward. He gave us great advice to keep issues from reoccurring and was kind enough to leave his contact number just in case anything ever goes wrong since he is usually in our area or could dispatch the right team to service us. This company obviously has employees that are willing to do what is best and more economical for the customer as opposed to the other company that just wanted to take our money. I scheduled an appointment for Friday and my tenant was not available. I called to reschedule for Saturday 8am - 12pm. I called around noon and spoke with someone from dispatch. They said you are next in line.I called back an hour later, and still no show. I called again at 5:38pm and I was told to reschedule because it was missed by your company.I rescheduled for Monday April 5, 2021 8am to 12pm, but my tenant has an appointment in the morning. I tried rescheduling when I found out and dispatch has yet to call me back.I'm not very happy since my tenant had her daughter miss work and sit all day to wait for Roto Rooter.

I love how Roto-Rooter was able to fix what we would call an emergency the same day that we called bc I called another company first and they advised someone could come out 5 DAYS LATER. Our tech Jeffery came out the same day and was professional and efficient. I would definitely recommend them for any energy plumbing issue you may have.

Roy came out and took care of my backed up main. came out an hour before the time i was quoted! took care of the problem in about 30-40 mins. wasn't cheap but was very fast and couldn't do job myself so very happy with the service and peace of mind knowing it was done correctly with a 6 month guarantee!

My technician Terry was professional, courteous and hard working. He explained the process for clearing my exterior drains and then he began methodically working his way through my drains. With each cleared section my drains began to flow more efficiently. I have some work to do in my flowerbeds to reduce dirt and debris from going into my drains but Terry and Roto Rooter removed years of debris in a couple of shorts hours

Service rep was dispatched immediately after I placed call. Arrive and was very professional by covering feet and wearing a mask, inspected the required repairs to be done and provided estimate. Was able to cut cost via retaining good parts that did not need to be replaced and also applied a coupon to save an additional $100.

Everyone is very respectful and professional. However, the price was way out of line. I'm disappointed that their pricing model is so predatory, one man's opinion.

The person that came out to fix my kitchen sink was helpful by giving explanations and gave good information to maintain plumbing. He was very friendly and said he would guarantee the work. He also said he would send another person out to recheck to ensure plumbing was working properly.

Over price. I really need it soon , so even I pay way more than other plumbing place I use it. Few of the plumbing places charge by an hour and this place told me they charge what the job was, so I thought that was better, wrong wrong thought. It only took him 20 minutes to the job and charge $506.00 . I could have just spend $250, but they were the only one who could come fast. I know why now they were the only plumbing places not busy.

It was after 5, with another storm approaching when i contacted Roto Rooter about the blockage in my french drains. The last storm had cost me a fortune.John from Roto Rooter waa out within the hour. He examined the syatem and had it resolved (at a fair price) in under another hour.John quickly assessed the issue, gave us a fair quote and was on the job less than two hours after I'd called. I couldn't be more thriled with his work, recommend it to everyone and will definitely use him again!

Cole was on time, very quick to find the problem and extremely quick in repairing it. Showed me what the issue was and how it was repaired. All in all, total time was maybe 30 minutes. Couldn't ask for more!

Mr. Kelvin was very professional on the job, while being respectful with our explanation of dealing with another plumber. He came early and did the job quickly. We are satisfied with his service and we know he is doing a great job. We would have given him a 10 star but your system only goes to 5. If we ever need service again we would like to have him cone back. Hopefully we will not have another issue this bad. But if we do we would want him to be our plumber.

They were prompt and did a good job, as always, but the cost was about double what I expected.

My elderly client needed a plumber and they came within the hour. The gentleman fixed the issue and respectfully answered all questions. He went above and beyond by letting them know of a repair that will be needed in the near future and fully explained the why's and how's in a knowledgeable way that the client could understand. His name was John and we feel he needs a raise! Lol.

My 1st time calling a plumbing company and dispatch said they'd be out Saturday from 9a-1p. I called them at 2:00p and they said they'd call me. Well its Tuesday. No CALL & No SHOW Hopefully BAKERS BROTHERS don't let me down. I sold my house and buyer wants water heater inspected. Hopefully I didn't miss out on a bargain house that Saturday.

The gentleman that came out to fix our drain did so quickly, and tidied up after his work. He was courteous, and punctual. My only concern is that although he put on protective gear when I asked him to (face mask and gloves due to COVID-19 concerns), he removed the mask once he started work inside our home. I asked him to put it back on, which he promptly did; I would ask that Roto-Rooter explain to their techs that when entering someone's house they need to keep their masks on the entire time. I have a very high-risk elderly father that I care for, and this was a very big concern for me.

We were very pleased with our service. They were quick to respond and schedule. The plumber was professional and we were able to get the issue repaired same day.

We asked Roto Rooter to come by to locate our Clean out and for a preventative sewage clean up. The person who came by guaratneed thaht his camera technician would be able to locate the clean out and that they would charge $450 for it. Our is an older house and we know the general area where it is located. But the camera techinician could not locate it. Very weird. They charged us $450 for attempting to locate it. The drain cleaner technician who came by too did not wear a mask and mentioned he was healthy and took a lot of Vitamin D. When I insisted, he wore his mask on his chin. Other than the fact that they could not locate the clean out and did not actually clean up the sewer because they thought it was not needed - for whatever reason...we spent $450 for nothing. I would not even give a one star for the service we received.

I had lots of water around the bathroom and bedroom floor.Two people came in and checked the bathroom and charged me 69$ and didn't say anything about the problem, I mean they couldn't find it.They called someone else to come over but that guy tried to sell his own business to us .I still think why they charged me to do nothing at all.I won't call this company ever again and won't recommend it to anyone.

All of the Above!Roto-Rooter Irving has really been there for me in the last few months.Not only did they take care of a break under my house in December, last Friday my plumbing was acting weird and they came first thing in the morning, found the problem, went to bat for me at the city of carrollton, and got the repair done THAT DAY. My representative, Joe W, was AWESOME and really stepped up for me. The city told me they would not get to me for a week or so and he WENT in person and got them to come out in about an hour - even with the stay in place order and all.I will never call anyone else. Roto-Rooter Irving has the best people and really, they are THE BEST.

Mixed bag. The administrative part is a nightmare. It wasn't easy to make a payment and they said they'd deal with the insurance (they didn't) and the contact with them was generally not that pleasant or helpful. The people who did the manual labor on the other hand were prompt and very helpful

The Roto Rooter team that worked on my repairs were awesome! Adrian and Justin were able to save the brand new flooring in my master bedroom when water seeped under it. Wess was the first to arrive and called in Joe and they diagnosed the problem almost immediately. Noticed a wet spot on our carpet near a base board. We have a new home warranty, but wanted to call Roto at least for a quote to get a gage on pricing, because my previous experience with roto was so good (shoutout to Chris/Eric in Huntsville, AL) However, Clay hit it out of the park with his professionalism, knowledge, & personality in general. We could of called our home warranty company (AHS), and paid significantly less, but after clay’s assessment, pleasant attitude, showing us the issue, answering all of our many many questions. No BS pricing (no hidden fees, no later add ons). It gave me the confidence & trust that Clay was going to do the job better than the choices AHS would of given us. Went through some tests before he cut the wall, but ultimately we had to, clean cut and got right where to where the leak was. Basically whoever hung the dry wall put a nail through it and had been slowly leaking for months before we bought it. Clay invited us to watch the fix, hang around each step to let us know what he was doing. Also called the restoration manager Justin, to help us understand the water damage and show us, explain their service, what it was going to cost. Clay and Justin are *chef kiss*. You get what you pay for & if you can you should use Roto and ask for Clay! Skipping AHS for all future plumbing & Going direct to Roto! The new pipes look really good & if I could snap a photo I would!!! Calling ins on Mon for restoration and wall contracting.

I just wanted to take some time to praise Keyfer Fiveash of Roto Rooter. We had the unfortunate event of a drain clog that backed up sewage into our tub and overflowed our toilet. This happened right before we were off to bed at about 11:30 pm. I Googled “plumbing Rockwall” and Roto Rooter was 1st on list. When I spoke to attendant, she was able to send Keyfer to our home and upon his arrival Keyfer presented a high level of professionalism in assessing our situation and developed a solution to our problem. During his process Keyfer was confident in his approach and explained what was happening. This gave my wife and I a high sense of certainty in Keyfer’s ability and execution.In the process, Keyfer was able to unclog our drain, and found a major crack in our pipe that was caused by the over growth from our front yard shrubs. Under his recommendation Keyfer developed a plan to excavate and repair the pipe system the next morning.At lunch, Atmos arrived to mark our lawn of critical areas. I was impressed that Keyfer and Roto Rooter has communicated with utility companies to prevent any damage to existing pipes and lines. Roto-Rooter and Erik were great. I called on Mother's Day late afternoon and he was at my house within an hour. He gave me 2 options, I chose the lesser-priced but we ended up having to go with the 2nd option anyway. I appreciated that Erik gave such great service on Mother's Day Sunday. My son will pay me back for what I spent!

Your plumbers are very courteous and friendly. He performed a good service of drainage cleaning but our problem has not been solved yet. Hopefully I get the result following his advice.
