We happened upon this company last summer when our a/c unit stopped working in 100+ temps. They got us back up and running. Our tech, Josh, was the best. Now that we were ready to replace our unit, Josh came back out and answered all of our questions and got us scheduled for the next day! The crew showed up right on time and made quick work of replacing our system. They were all very nice, personable, and professional. The guys that came out to clean our ducts were also great! Every person that came into our home made us feel at ease, and we really feel like we made the right choice by having Penguin Air and Plumbing care for our heating and cooling needs.

Scott Koches was our representative from Hobaica. He was so polite, knowledgeable and helpful. He did our routine yearly HVAC Tune-up. We would call him again. Very happy with Hobaica's team of workers.

Valley's Best Heating and Air Conditioning is the best and most affordable company I have found. Our air was no longer blowing cold and we just surpassed the 100-degree mark for the year. Val was able to get to us within an hour (as a first-time customer that hadn't used their services ever before!). He assessed the unit/issue and explained to us, in terms we'd understand, what that meant, what it'd cost and when they would be able to get us in if we'd like to move forward with it. We agreed upon a price and Val was able to do the repairs right then & there. When Val didn't have one of the parts he needed another tech swung by to get him the part and lend a hand.

(As a side note, I had called a different company a couple weeks earlier to just install a Google Nest thermostat which ended with them spending 3 hours heating my place up to 88 degrees and let me know that they would need to perform $3400 of work to replace some valve on the unit in order for it to work with the Nest OR replace the unit for $10-$20K. I asked if he could just return the system to the way it was before he did anything, which he did for $80. So, $80 to heat my house up for 3 hours and not install the thermostat, Thanks but no thanks Larson's Air Conditioning.)

The owner of Valley's Best H & A/C, Chase, stopped by to see how things were progressing as well as looking at duct and plumbing work in the attic. Chase made notes of all the things he noticed that he'd suggest addressing. He worked up an estimate of what those repairs would cost. There was never the, “if you don't do X, Y, Z & 1, 2, 3, really soon your pipes will probably start leaking, cause mold, all your ac is escaping because you need more insulation, etc., etc. pressure. It was simply a hey this is what I suggest and why and if you want to choose our company to do that work this is what it would cost. He even threw in a free inspection at a later date!

No one likes spending lots of money but with Valley's Best Heating & Air Conditioning you don't have the anxiety of wondering about the quality of service you'll receive or being talked into something you do not need. At no time was there ever a conversation about a needing a new unit, where others just try to scare you into big repairs and then bridge that to just buying a new unit. I will be having them address all my Heating & A/C needs.

My Ac had a major leak in it, the air coming out of it felt hot and would not run fast, I made a phone call to about 6 places when I came across king mechanical, Frank scheduled me an appointment within the next few hours. The job was done with the finest materials! I can for sure say that king mechanical has yet now another satisfied costumer!!

Our experience with Scottsdale Air was superb! We got quotes from a number of local outfits, to proactively replace our 15 year old, slit-system heat pump. My initial criteria was that all these companies needed to have been in operation at least a couple decades (Scottsdale Air over 60 years). One big name company was very high-priced, and I didn’t feel the salesman was totally genuine. The others were all in the same price ballpark, but Eric, the Scottsdale Air salesman was a really good communicator and he was genuine and knowledgeable. Plus he was to the point, didn’t waste my time and printed out a concise, easy to understand proposal (one company’s quote was 5 pages long!) before leaving. Eric and his office were both very responsive to us, before and after the installation. (BTW - His price was just a little lower than most of the others, but my interaction with him and his office was really what clinched it for me!)

The installers showed up right on time and did the work in a very professional manner – they were respectful of our property and were as quiet as they could be, and had the work done in a little over four hours. I asked Eric previously if they could provide a portable heater, and the installers brought one which kept things quite comfortable while they replaced the old unit.

I have a background in the HVAC field, so I knew a couple things about what they were doing, and I am pleased to say I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again! Oh, one last thing – we went for the simplest Trane unit that would be at least 15 SEER (which was also more affordable). After we had the installation date set, Eric called to say there was an issue with the air handler we’d specified, so Scottsdale Air upgraded us to a much better and costlier air handler without charge - now that’s a good example of excellent and conscientious customer service! Bottom-line: A nice unit sold and installed by a thoughtful, competent company at a fair price – what’s not to love about that!?

Excellent service. The tech sent a text to let us know he was on his way. Arrived on time and diagnosed the issue quickly. He provided us with options and completed the repair fast. I highly recommend this veteran-owned business!
