APES saved the day when no other appliance repair companies would! My girlfriend was going through a time time, husband moved-out on the family unexpectedly, holidays were rough and she returned home to a leaky washing machine that flooded her utility room about 2 inches deep of soapy water. Did I mention that is was also her birthday celebration??
My friend Christine decided to surprise our friend by repairing the washer so her kids would have clean clothes for school. APES took the last minute call on a Friday afternoon when no one else would!! The repair man was super friendly, ordered necessary parts and temporarily fixed the machine. The service call and repair was fair and reasonable! Thanks APES for SAVING many DAYS!

Having your AC break down in Arizona is never a good thing. Even with that situation, Penguin Air and Chase made the best of it. Everything was explained in an understandable manner and I was given various options for repair, and payment options that fit my budget. Last night was rough with no air conditioning, and I was sitting in cool air before noon today. That said it all! Great job PA and Chase! I highly recommend!

I had such a great experience working with Tom for the two repairs needed at my home. Tom arrived on time and was extremely friendly and professional. He took his time making sure that his work was thorough and correct. Without asking, he even added extra notes to my invoice as he knew I would be submitting it to the city for reimbursement. Jeff has serviced our AC/heater over the last year or so. He has amazing knowledge regarding air conditioning and heating. Two other companies came to service our high efficiency unit but could not work on it as they were completely unfamiliar with it. One of the two actually informed me that I should contact another company, one that knows something about this system. Desert Diamond has always been professional, courteous and honest. I wold recommend them to anyone who needed AC service.

Wanna shout out to team Ovi, Eric, &Evan. Along with team Christian, Noe,&Luis! We had Goettl install a new system in our home & appreciate their professionalism throughout the process. I mentioned how dusty our home gets and upon further inspection the vents of our old system in the attic were NOT sealed and they made sure our new vents were all sealed and that that should really cut down on the dust. It has made a noticeable difference in the air quality of our home. Little details like this matter. Also, thank you for helping me navigate the new Sensi App.

Tim was AWESOME! This is the 3rd time this company has serviced my property and I they continue to WOW me, They go above and beyond expectations. Tim is extremely knowledgeable, very responsive, very thorough. He sat down with me after and went through everything. Also they have membership that offers fantastic benefits for ongoing service and replacement.

They responded to an issue with our water heater, pretty efficient, tried to locate problem, then let us know to contact the appropriate repairman and part needed.

Called for AC unit not cooling. They came out quickly and right when I requested. Excellent work, at a VERY reasonable and fair price. Jorge Gutierrez is awesome. Thanks for the quick work and getting us up she running again!!

I purchased an annual preventative maintenance (PM) contract from SG Mechanical. An expensive mistake.

During the sumner PM they replaced an OEM capacitor with their cheap inferior capacitor. The replacement caused electrical surges in the fan and compressor - a shady dishonest way disreputable contractors can stress-fail an older air conditioner to force a service call or a lucrative AC replacement - which SG Mechanical pushed before, during, and repeatedly after their PM.

After recognizing the surges as something very wrong, I called one of the SG Mechanical owners for them to come back and put in the correct capacitor. Again they Installed a cheap, inferior, non-OEM, non-Trane-approved capacitor (this time it was the correct voltage and amperage size for the AC unit). After gaslighting the facts and their responsibility they charged me $89 for the service call.

Unfortunately the damage caused by SG Mechanical was already done. The motherboard with visible scorch marks from repeated surging, failed less than three months after their summer PM-Mission accomplished. An expensive repair. Lesson learned: I will NEVER let SG Mechanical work on my Trane AC/Furnace again.

We were referred to Mark, owner of Cactus Mechanical, through a mutual friend when soliciting several bids to replace two 3-ton split-gas A/C systems in our 15-year-old home. Mark is one of the most down-to-earth, honest, and patient A/C contractors you’ll ever have the pleasure of working with. Their “best pricing first” is fair (not so cheap that you’ll think he’s cutting corners, but not sticker-shock high either), the equipment options are a great value (they use the sister brands of major labels that come with the same quality without the brand-name markups), and he’s proud of the fact that he pays his guys well to ensure they stick around.
When bidding on the job, he also identified a common installation problem from the home builder and offered to correct it during the replacement, improving airflow to a couple of hot rooms. Beyond that, he didn’t pad the invoice with unwanted thermostats, maintenance contracts, or high-end systems that offered poor ROI for the time we expect to remain in this home. Because his distributor’s pricing improved during the bid process, he was able to revise the quote and pass some significant savings onto us.

When the time came for install, one of the two outdoor units arrived at his shop slightly damaged by a forklift. He was quick to let us know and gave us the option of splitting the install or doing it all at once. We took the option to replace one of the two systems which were inoperative to ensure we’d be comfortable as the spring temperatures were forecasted to climb, then replace the other system a week later when it arrived at his distributor.

For the actual install, from start to finish, his crew was efficient and performed quality workmanship. Each of the two 3-ton split gas A/C and furnace systems we replaced in our home were removed and replaced in an average of 4 hours each, including puling new thermostat wire to my two ecobee 4 thermostats to properly support two-stage operation (not the easiest job since the wire wasn’t readily accessible). From initial contact to job completion, Mark personally kept us in the loop with scheduling, equipment delivery status, and work completion times, and I never once felt uncomfortable or “in the dark” with the work or what was going on. Every install requires photos to add to the customer file to ensure the job was done right the first time. He was onsite at the start of the first job, and the completion of the second.

I would highly recommend considering Cactus Mechanical for any residential and commercial HVAC job in the valley (they do a lot of radio and cellular tower cooling systems too). You won’t be disappointed!
