1) Made an appointment that was initially scheduled between 10:00AM and 1:00PM, the technician didn't arrive until 2:00PM. I had to cancel my afternoon doctor appointment because of the late arrival and I couldn't get in to see my doctor until after the Independence Day holiday. The technician was supposed to come and do a tune-up. According to Penguin Air, this included the cleaning of the coils on the outdoor unit. Well, I would almost consider this to be the most important part of the tune-up and the technician actually FORGOT to do it. The technician was trying to up-sell me on services, memberships, devices, fluid changes of the compressor... you name it. Well, my A/C system wasn't having any problems whatsoever prior to the service call, I just thought I would do the best thing I should do for my system and HAVE IT MAINTAINED. Well, I find it awfully convenient that now my system is leaking fluid from my outside unit. I strongly believe this happened INCIDENTALLY because of the work that was done. I'm not saying he did it purposely, I'm saying it was because he may have done something unintentionally, but still did SOMETHING to it to make it do that. I had no leaks or any problems before the technician left. I contacted Penguin Air and they sounded like they genuinely wanted to help me, an hot went by, I followed up and spoke with the same gentlemen and he apologized and said he would get an answer promptly. I got a call back from a smart-mouthed woman who got short with me and she didn't even know or didn't pay attention to the details from the initial call I made. She finished by saying, We'll send someone out. and she hung up the phone. Another 30 minutes goes by and I get a call from a technician who then tried to turn the tables on me and basically said, our technician didn't do anything to sabotage your A/C system and tried to make me feel guilty about making that assumption, so then I clarified and said just as I did above, that he may not have done it purposely, but he did something incidentally. The technician then tried to say, I have known that technician for a long time and he is really good at his job and there is no way he did something to create a problem. I replied, Well, if he is so good, how could he forget to do the most important part of a tune-up? I feel like I'm being hosed here and they don't want to fix the problems they created. Be weary of Penguin Air... I now don't trust them as far as I could throw them. I will not be using their services again.

Had an emergency situation and called them... they showed up super fast and were very nice and informative. Explained my problem and possible solutions and had me fixed up in no time. I've since called them for a couple other issues and always the same great service with a smile. Won't ever go anywhere else!

Feared the worse, but hoped for the best and found it!!! We had an issue with draining from our bathrooms tub and shower, and dreaded the thought of what a 50 yo house might throw at us. Found Sav-On, and couldn't have asked for better! Our tech Jesse was extremely kind, and didn't have any issue explaining what he was doing. Up front pricing, and definite professionalism...would have no problem ever recommending them for any plumbing issues.

I have worked with Danny for nearly 20 years. Danny is the definition of an Old School Plumber. He is thorough and pays attention to the details. Indoors or outdoors he knows his stuff. Rhonda (his wife) manages his office just as well. They are a Perfect example of a successful small business!

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE!! Zero stars. The appointment was scheduled between 7am-11. At a quarter after 12 this scary, dirty, toothless man showed up an hour late immediately demanding cash just for showing up. I tried to explain the issue and I asked if he could at least take a look to which he again asked for money. I asked for a diagnosis first, to which he said, Didn't you say someone else already told you the problem? He continued to demand money. He was very aggressive. When I couldn't take it anymore I asked him to leave. He never even look at the problem. He then used what little I told him too lie to my warranty company and said he diagnosed the problem so he could get paid. Shady. Never call this company.

John Miranda was my Technician. He was able to resolve my issues very quickly and efficiently. My old AC in my new house had a couple quirks from a less than stellar install. John was able to fix everything that I couldn't. I will be using Hobacia Services for all my yearly checkups on AC. highly reccomend.

Update: Andrew and Mathew came back out free of charge and inspected the system to make sure the unit was functioning properly. GREAT FOLLOW UP BY AN AWESOME TEAM.

THIS IS THE BEST COMPANY OF ANY BUSINESS !! VERY impressive ! It started with my call to them and I talked with Toby. In talking with her I sensed that this company is AWESOME ! She is genuinely sincere and honest.
I just wanted a maintence tuneup. I called on a Friday she said she could have someone there ON MONDAY !! WOW ! I had called another company prior to my call to 1st choice and they were going to send someone out in JULY !! Toby had Jimmy come out and he to is very impressive . A nice young man who got there ON TIME and when he was done he said we needed nothing more, NOTHING MORE ! What ? Toby and Jimmy are VERY impressive, NICE people . WOW ! First choice is not my first choice, they are my ONLY choice from here on out ! For every kind of work they do I will call them. I feel like they are MY company. I love this company

I was so fortunate to find Amy during a particularly difficult day. During the super intense heat wave (multiple 110+ days), my AC unit stopped working in the middle the night. I contacted one of the big box companies Monday morning and they arrived promptly for an inspection. They told me that I had a fire in my attic that shorted everything and that my best bet would be to replace my entire HVAC system - to the tune of about $17,000. I asked if there was a way to repair the damaged parts and they told me that the only option for me was to replace everything.

$17,000 was a little too steep for me to consent to without a second opinion, so I contacted Amy with A&M Mechanical. Amy did a wonderful job of educating me over the phone of my options and the pros and cons of replacing the entire system vs. repairing the issue. Amy ordered the parts I needed and sent out a crew (Brad and Easton) the next day. To my surprise, they did not find any evidence of a fire in my attic and just needed to replace a couple of parts. After completing their repairs, they did a complete tune-up and notified me of some other issues that they were able to inexpensively and promptly fix. Prior to leaving, they replaced my air filters for me and told me to contact them if there were any other issues.

Amy and her team were so knowledgable, honest and kind to work with. Amy educated me instead of trying to sell me a bunch of things I did not actually need. She respected that as an attorney, HVAC systems are not my expertise. And she communicated with me every step of the way. What could have been a $17,000 day, ended up being a small fraction of that cost to repair instead of replace. In the future, I will certainly be calling Amy and A&M Mechanical Inc for any future HVAC needs. I cannot imagine what would have happened if I hadn't sought her counsel for a second opinion.

I wish my experience was the same. I am going on 10 days with a broken ac and the company has become MIA and not filling their report as required. They have not reached out to complete repairs.

Overall a great job. Gerardo was upfront and honest, and Jose and Juarito (sp?) were prompt and had the new unit installed in a couple of hours. Efficient, effective service. I’d use them again in a heartbeat

Family Owned. Smaller office - friendly voices. The techs are paid by the hour not commissions - that helped knowing I wasn't being recommended unnecessary repairs. Me and a few of my neighbors have signed up for their yearly service agreement. Great folks!

I have been using SG Mechanical for several years to perform annual servicing and this year a repair. The tech has always been helpful when I have any questions and he explains any issues clearly. I have never had him try to sell me additional products or services like some of the other companies do and the prices charged are fair and in writing. I highly recommend SG Mech.
