Best Replacement Water Softener in San Antonio TX

I had a leaking water heater. Doug came out to fix it the same day I called and was very friendly and professional. I had a different company come out earlier in the day and they told me I needed a new water heater but could repair it for close to $2k. Doug said a new water heater would be ideal but wasn't necessary and repaired it for under $350. Definitely coming back for future service.

Arrived on time, very patient and explained, in detail, service to be provided and charges to be incurred. Would definitely contact them again should the need arise.

The plumber, Tony, that serviced our home was great. But this company charges ASTRONOMICAL prices. They charged $390 to remove and replace a dishwasher. I admit it was a task but not for that price. Then charged $122 to clear and reset a garbage disposal which in my opinion didn’t need to be done. They also charged charged me $158 to install a $10 emergency shut off valve, which took approximately 5 minutes to replace. I usually don’t complain and this company was highly recommended to us. I have a friend who does plumbing and unfortunately he was too busy to do our work. He did say we got TOTALLY RIPPED OFF! I received an apologetic email on Friday 8/30 from the operations manager claiming they would reach out to us on Monday morning to try to remedy the situation. Coincidentally my original complaint magically disappeared. Well a week and a half later and we have not received any follow up call. I feel they take your money and move on. Upon looking at other reviews, I see complaints are quite common. I should have researched this prior to their recommendations because I clearly would have used someone else.

Sam and Alex came out to do a ac tune up. They found mildew in my ducts and gave me my options. There was some confusion during the financing process (not approved then come to find out my husband was). But, I spoke with someone from financing department who was very unprofessional and summed up since I said I was going to get other quotes I should have just asked that because I was waisting there time. I ended up telling him I would speak to Sam and Alex about it because I was so angry. If it was not for the service techs I would have easily went somewhere else. They ended up doing the job in a timely manner, gave me the information I needed and were understanding. The service techs are truly the ones that turned that incident from negative into positive. Thank you Sam and Alex. I have another appointment for next week to have my water softner checked and depending on this experience will be whether or not I continue business with this company. Im confident if I dont have to deal with another rude finance guy like this time the process will be 100% pleasant and I will be a returning customer.

This was our second time to use City Base Plumbing, and we will always go back to them. Their plumbers are extremely polite, professional, proficient, and knowledgeable. This man Fernando Jessica Favela is heaven sent. He's owner of Ambition Plumbing .He and his employee Samuel Galvan did a great job at my house. I hadn't had water since last week cause of a broken pipe,so i thought. Well seems i had 21 breaks under the house. They worked hard til past 12 midnight last night but seems every time there was another pipe leak. They came back today determind to get my water going. Finally i have water. Shout out to this remarkable team.The surprise came when he charged me. He asked me for a donation!!!! My God there are very few men like this. I know it was a lot of work and in the thousands but he said he wanted to help people out ,he knew it was hard. May God bless him and his family.❤❤

After the Snow storm of 2021, both my tankless water heaters broke. Caliente was at my house in no time fixing everything. Great work.

Okay, here’s my story, last night I came home and noticed water on our garage floor. I pretty much knew it was my water heater and the tank broke and I would need a replacement water heater. Well, that night I contacted a reputable company and they came out and confirmed what I knew and gave me a bid. I thought OMG this is awfully high (my last water heater cost me about $700). We’ll, the following morning I got another bid from a well known company and it was $500 more than the previous one. Then I called Gill’s Plumbing and they promptly came out and gave me a bid and it was in line with my first bid. I went with John Gill and I’m so happy I did. They were so professional and you could tell they were perfectionist and the work they did was amazing. Yeah, it was pretty expensive but now that I see the finished job, IT WAS WELL WORTH IT. I would not hesitate to recommend John for any plumbing issues. I admire his professionalism and dedication to his customers. Please give Gill’s Plumbing an opportunity to bid on your next job. You won’t regret it.

Great and honest people to work with

Russell, Steve, Gloria and Ginger checked all the boxes for the best plumber in town. I had an emergency leak in my yard. The water was running and bubbling. I didn't know where it was coming from. I called 20 companies literally to see if I could get someone out that day. Gloria from the office said she would see. I was thrilled when she called back and said some one was on the way. Steve arrived and started the job but the job turned out to be bigger than expected. Russell soon came to help and together they handled their business!! They had to pull out a big bush to get to the leak but not without communicating to us every step of the way why they were doing what they were doing. They did not want to do more damage. They were extremely careful and conservative.When we decided the bush had to go, Russell got rope, hooked it up to his truck and pulled it out. They used various tools to cut through roots to get to the leak. They repaired the busted pipe quickly and talked to us about what they did. The greater news is the price was so fair!!! Best rates in town. Gloria and Ginger took care of my payment and gave me compassionate customer service. Super sweet ladies.All of this going on at the height of the covid19. I don't how to express my sincere gratitude to 210 plumber except to say, THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK.
