As a first time home owner, I was having an issue with the water heater & a constant leak so naturally I was pretty worried that the leak was filling up a bucket enough for me to constantly empty out the bucket. My home warranty company that issued the original plumbing company was not taking the urgency into consideration since I had to do the follow-ups and also that they were No-Shows on both appointments they scheduled. I called Gill Plumbing Services and it was an immediate response and same day visit with in 20 min to half an hour!! The problem was temporarily fixed since it was later in the day near closing hours. Gill Plumbing said they can do a complete installation with the proper sized water heater and bring it all up to code. The problem was immediately repaired the following morning at 9am as he said he would. My experience was beyond my expectations and the customer service was outstanding!! It’s rare to find good reputable companies that care about what they do, are knowledgeable, have great customer service & do quality work. I am thankful for the work done on my home & I will use Gill Plumbing for all my future needs for my new home. The gentleman were very professional from beginning to end. Thank you both so much for coming out and doing a wonderful job!!

I contacted Gill Plumbing with a voice mail. I got a response within an hour. I told him I needed a toilet flange replaced in my upstairs bathroom. John explained the best case and worst case scenarios including the cost for each. John and Nick arrived the same day and completed the repair. I strongly encourage others to contact Gill Plumbing because I had an excellent experience.

Phenomenal company. Everything is explained ahead of time and in terms I could understand what was going on with the repairs. Professional high quality products for replacements as well as repairs. Definitely my plumber for the future! Glad I found Gill Plumbing! Very fair on pricing and again everything is priced and explained before any work is done to ensure agreement.

Okay, here’s my story, last night I came home and noticed water on our garage floor. I pretty much knew it was my water heater and the tank broke and I would need a replacement water heater. Well, that night I contacted a reputable company and they came out and confirmed what I knew and gave me a bid. I thought OMG this is awfully high (my last water heater cost me about $700). We’ll, the following morning I got another bid from a well known company and it was $500 more than the previous one. Then I called Gill’s Plumbing and they promptly came out and gave me a bid and it was in line with my first bid. I went with John Gill and I’m so happy I did. They were so professional and you could tell they were perfectionist and the work they did was amazing. Yeah, it was pretty expensive but now that I see the finished job, IT WAS WELL WORTH IT. I would not hesitate to recommend John for any plumbing issues. I admire his professionalism and dedication to his customers. Please give Gill’s Plumbing an opportunity to bid on your next job. You won’t regret it.

John and his apprentice came well equipped and were very knowledgeable. They used cameras to identify the problem areas (there were several), and diligently cleaned out the many clogged pipes in the older home I recently bought (some of which had likely been clogged for years). He gave me estimates for two options to fix a more major repair that isn't an immediate issue, and all the while he explained everything as they went. They were friendly, easy to talk to, cleaned up as they went, and most importantly they were able to fix my drains! I couldn't be happier and I will absolutely call John Gill for any future plumbing issues I have.

John Gill and his team are the best service plumbers I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. They are not the cheapest, but they are definitely worth it and an incredible value. If you really value your property and the people associated with it, you should call Gill. Big-bad-John knows a ton about all eras of plumbing- we use him on a couple of 1920's houses (and everywhere else) and I am always impressed with Gill's. Worth it every time, in high demand, a pleasure to work with.

Mr. Gill came highly recommended by an Air Conditioning company we already trusted. We asked if they knew a good plumber. We have called him out many times now. Always professional and highly organized in his approach. He does not simply focus on the issue at hand but repairs and overhauls in a manner to maximize future safety and options. Highly recommend.

First time homeowners and we had our first major issue. Sewer water backed up into our guest bathtub and it was a mess. Found John on the nextdoor app-he came HIGHLY recommended from my neighbors-so we gave him a call. He was courteous, prompt and professional. Gave me the price over the phone and found/fixed the issue in no time. He worked in the pouring rain to get us back to normal. We had a problem with a toilet that would not flush. Gill Plumbing had good reviews. We called them not hoping for much, as it was 10:00 on the Friday before a 3 day holiday. Much surprised to hear he would try to be here after 2 jobs and estimated 1:00...hooray!! He got here about 2:15 and went right to work. The two guys were here for 3 hours and also repaired another toilet. We were very pleased with the way they worked and their price was fair. We will definitely use them again.

Today was the third time John Gill has come to my rescue.First time was November 5th, 2020. My elderly step father needed to have a toilet fixed. John fixed the toilet same day and came back the same week to replace a toilet (not the one he fixed)The second time he helped me, I discovered a leak in the garage ceiling which is below my daughter’s bathroom. He took the time to walk me through what the issue could be. It turned out to not be a broken pipe but a leak between tub and shower faucet, leaking into the ceiling. This was in Early February 2021.Today, John replaced a faulty faucet in my elderly step father’s bathroom as well as the hot/cold pipes under the sink that are at least 40 years old.I continue to call John because he is reliable, honest and very thorough with his work. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is good people as we say in Texas!

I interviewed several plumbers before finding Gill Plumbing. I had a gas line problem and wanted the job done right. John, the owner, had the best solution and a fair price. He did a great job, was courteous, and very thorough! The best plumbing experience I've ever had! Highly recommend this company to anyone!

I found John and his company after others failed to do the job right. He changed out our boiler a couple of months ago and we loved that he communicated throughout the whole process and was competitive with his pricing. We have since hired him again to change out our sewer line which requires digging under our slab. Once again, competitive pricing, communicative, and superb follow through. I highly recommend.

My review for Gill Plumbing Services is long overdue.Simply put Gill's, when i shopped around (I even have personal friends who are plumbers), was the most reasonably priced I could find this side of The Mississippi.My water pressure was too high. I needed work done on the incoming water line from the street and near the water heater I needed a tank installed.I am 100% satisfied, and close to 6 months later after a full remodel all is well.His work, as well as the gentleman who accompanied him, was professional, quick, and above all affordable.The next time anything plumbing related comes up I know who I'll call.

John came to an emergency water leak withing 45 minutes of calling. He replaced a broken pressure valve and left the yard clean and tidy. He gave me a receipt with a one year warranty and a refrigerator sticker. Gill Plumbing saved the day during rush hour traffic and did a perfect job. I highly recommend him to the people who live in Hill Country Retreat and the Alamo Ranch area.

John was knowledgeable courteous, communicative, and easy to interact with. He improvised a better, more preventative solution than we had originally decided on, asked me to approve it for no change in cost, and then made it look easy.I have been through a handful of plumbers, and Gill Plumbing smoked all of them. John was scheduled to come Saturday morning. He called me Friday afternoon that he could come Friday evening instead since he was in the area. He explained everything he was doing and answered my questions. He had everything he needed with him. He and his assistant were professional and friendly. Price was reasonable. Will use him in the future.

I called this plumber at 8:11am on Friday the 24th for a backed up toilet said he would be here by 11:30 said he would be here after he picked up a permit in Helotes. Never got a phone call that he would be running late. Finally called him at 3:30 he did not answer so I left him a message. Finally got a call back after 4pm apologizing. This plumber did not even have the decency to give me an update as to his time frame. Called another plumber.

Called twice and left messages requesting service as a first time customer. I never received a call back.
Hire Lentz Plumbing who called back and completed the work the same day of my phone call.

John and his team are AWESOME! I hate to even tell you all that - because then if we need them - they might be too busy to come out and help us. I can say - he is fair and reasonable and gets the job done. You can't go wrong hiring him and his team!
