I found myself in a quandary recently. Our water pressure had been fluctuating for a few days and we thought maybe our water was being rationed during prime use hours. (Well every other weird thing has happened over the past year so why not?)Anyhoo -Saturday it went from a slow stream to a trickle to no water at all -and it was affecting all sinks, commodes and bathing facilities in our home. We are so clueless we still thought it must be a worldwide event! (Ok-maybe a neighborhood event...) so we polled our neighbors only to find they all had water!!What to do? Decided a plumber was in order. I began my research on Yelp of course and there were many agencies that had great reviews.I was drawn to Rooter Man as it had an abundance of 4&5 Star Reviews. Was family and veteran owned and operated.Being the frugals we waited until Monday to call. The call was picked up by the 4 th ring and Catherine had me describe our plumbing problem. She reviewed their schedule and offered an appointment Tuesday afternoon between 2-4pm. She advised that whomever was assigned would text me when they headed our way. She then advised the fee for the service call was $79, but said if we opted to have them repair the problem tomorrow that fee would be waived.I appreciated her being forthright with their processes. She was very professional and had a smile in her voice. The next day I missed a call from Catherine and when I called her back she advised they had a cancellation and could arrive between 12-2p if we wanted to take the earlier appointment. That was fine with us. She reviewed their process of having the plumber text us when on their way. Before too long I received a text from Byron with his picture- a great way of identifying who would be coming. There was also a phone number given should we have any questions.A text also came when he arrived at our home. Byron introduced himself. We described our issues with the lack of water. After listening he began removing the kitchen sink faucet head. I was telling him that in my restroom something resembling sand was coming out of one of the sink faucets. He asked us about our water heater and if we had a traditional style water softener. When we said we did he diagnosed the problem immediately. Evidently the softener had broken and was spilling tiny silicone grains out into our water pipes. He then began to run the water and sure enough out they came. He explained it was best to use the larger faucets to discharge the contaminated water. He opened the faucets in both tubs... wooo -E there was a lot of that stuff from inside the water softener. He told us that since we had a Moen Faucet at the kitchen sink - they had such faith in their product they would likely send us a new head free-no shipping-no nothing...what a great tip!! He said to simply email them. I told him I was concerned about the fridge too so he told us what to do about that to avoid using any tainted ice or water. He offered to replace the toilet tank innards or saud that we could do it as well to make sure they continued to function. He then tidied up the areas he had made repairs to. He was able to give us the invoice- we paid the amount due. After thanking us for choosing Rooter Man he said goodbye- and to call if any further problems developed.Byron was professional, and offered us some great tips. He was neat and clean. He was respectful of us as his customers.Should you need help with your plumbing we highly recommend Rooter Man Plumbing.PS-we thought the pricing was fair!

Travis C. is amazing. He came out on a Sunday (when no one else would) and he is very professional and thorough. He is a great communicator too, he explained everything before he did it. He fixed our pretty serious problem in less than an hour. I'll be calling him and Clarke Kent next time I need help. They are really, really great.

One of the showers in my house wasn't getting hot water. Economy was able to come out next day which was great. The tech was nice enough but they didn't tell me the fee to come out and determine what it was was >$300 (so just the diagnostic fee and not the fee to fix anything). If they had I probably would've called someone else. As it turns out it was just something that took a small screwdriver and the handle to pop off and a wrench to tune. It was done in about 15 minutes. I paid it of course (because they'll tell you after the tech has arrived but before diagnostics start at least) and the issue is handled so I thank them for that but just wanted to leave this note so other people can make the decision for themselves and shop around before a technician is in your house and you're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

We had a water softener installed about a week ago. About 30 min after they left, we had water all over our garage. They neglected to install a pipe in a pretty obvious hole. We bought the most common water softener on the market and the first excuse this person had was “I’ve never seen this one before”. About a week later, our settings are completely messed up and our water tastes like seawater. They did no hard water test to see what those settings should be. The absolutely only redeemable thing was we didn’t end up paying for what would’ve be a $500 service. Go with someone else.

They must be desperate to hire because they have absolutely insane plumbers. I'm 64 years old driving a little SUV returning home from a doctor visit. Their driver, speeding on Duval street near the Domain, then crossed 3 lanes to turn cutting you off and slam on brakes because they must be missing the turn to go onto MOPAC to go north, no signal, no arm wave gesture showing kindness, just cut you off, then after honking, flip you the finger like it was you who did something wrong. After a few finger flips, the driver literally stops traffic behind him, gets out of his company truck, like he is going to fight...walks up to your window name calls you lots of CURSE WORDS more, then drives off. You follow to try to get and copy the drivers truck license as he risks lives on the highway speeding and risky lane changing and then at another stop into an apartment complex entrance, gets out of his truck and does it all again, cursing at you, triple finger flipping you while his arms are waving? All this even while you have the company's receptionist on the phone explaining to her this young Hispanic plumber's insane behavior, unsafe driving and asking her to speak to him.All this with their company name plastered all over their big truck, and the receptionist doesn't seem to care? She gets your personal information says a manager will call, of course no call. So since no call, l left this review.Would you want someone (a plumber) like this allowed into your HOME?

This rave review is belated, but I just want to sincerely thank Capital City Plumbing and Drain, and especially Ryan, for doing such great work. We were concerned that we had a pipe collapse and that we would need to completely replace our old cast iron plumbing. That day will come, but for now the problem ended up just being a blockage. Ryan devoted serious time and effort to carefully investigating the problem, and then clearing the blockage. We are really thankful for his patience and focus and expertise! Capital City was also a fantastic company to communicate with. They were clear, prompt and efficient with texts and phone calls. Thank you so much again.

Scheduled an appointment and they cancelled and said they'd come the next day. The next day they called 2 hours too early and said they could come. We were out so I said to stick with the original time. Then they called and said they'd be late. They never called again and I finally had to call and cancel because it was too late in the evening. The were hardly apologetic and made no attempt to rectify. Will never attempt again.

Moore and More Plumbing was called out yesterday to provide estimate for replacing flange at toilet connection and very politely proposed a ridiculously aggressive estimate of $968. When told that the estimate was out of line for a 1.5 hour service with virtually no materials involved, they promptly lowered the estimate by $200. When told that the lowered estimate was still considerably more than their competitors charge for the same service, their plumber became indignant and stated that he would not accept criticism. Okay. The job was performed excellently by another company this morning for $477. I would never call this company again, nor would I ever refer them to anyone. Well worth the $89 service call fee simply to know how this company seeks to do business.
