Had them out to fix an old 1960’s cast iron pipe. They used the light ray system to fix where the hole was and roots were coming in. Highly recommend! Excellent service. Hopeful that this will be the last time we have to have a plumber out for this issue!

Valve to waterline Ice maker box replacement.Lee explained everything well and made the trip to Home Depot to get necessary items. Work isn’t quite finished as HD had no ice maker box so the valve could not be replaced.Lee worked after 5pm taking the job as far as he could.When making the appointment the office was amazing. They worked super hard to have someone here within an hour and get my leak stopped.

Larry Baker and Mike Tovar were AMAZING. They came after hours same day and stayed until everything was fixed. They were absolutely professional and focused on helping us. We were in a tough situation with a leak and thank goodness for them!!! I couldn’t say enough amazing things about them.

Dominick was very friendly. I was unaware that a service call was placed due to sharing the house with another family member but he was polite and explained the reason he was here. He also gave me insight into a problem that might occur down the line which was very useful for our household. My man here is from Whales and it's always a pleasure to meet someone from across the pond. My man here gets 10/10.

Larry and his trainee refitted the components of a toilet tank. They arrived at the agreed to time and completed the job in a timely and professional manner. Prior to the start of the work they inspected the project and then presented a detailed report of what was required and I was given three options from which to choose. All of my questions and concerns were addressed and I was very satisfied with the work.

He checked our breaker boxes and said we need to check all the outlets because our boxes check out fine. We need to move things so a diagnostic can be done. He was nice and very informative about what he was seeing and what the cause could be. Unless we manage to find the outlet while moving things so the diagnostic can be done, we will be having him back to do the diagnostic.

I worked with 1st Home & Commercial Services to do inspections on my home prior to purchasing it, and it was a no brainer that I wanted to hire them to fully replace my HVAC and disposal. Communication with Axel has been seamless throughout the whole process, and the HVAC install was yesterday—everything went smoothly! Darius, Michael, Branden, Olen and Westin came out for install of the HVAC and disposal yesterday, and they were super courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable. I will call 1st Home & Commercial from here on out for anything I need in the future!

1st Home came out multiple times to check our plumbing system and ensure we had no leaks. They were very professional and responsive throughout. They didn’t quit until they were sure everything was working perfectly.

Needed to remove old dishwasher and install new one. I also needed an electrical outlet installed. Michael, Isaiah and Daniel were wonderfully polite, friendly and courteous! Above all they were very knowledgeable and efficient. I am very pleased with my new dishwasher and I highly recommend their services.

Ryan hill was our service tech and he was wonderful to work with. Not only did he save our entire weekend at our Vrbo with fixing the main cabin AC, he helped us jump our car and get it started which again saved us being able to drive 12 boys to a party. Thank you!

We had a little mis communication on the scope of work. 1st Home contacted me and and sent another technician that came back out and rework or tweak the finished product to my satisfaction. We realized we had a gas leak in the house and the gas company came and shut the gas off until a plumber could show up to fix the leak. We had Anthony and Jacob come out the same day we called to help us with the repair. They explained how they were doing things and were very professional and getting the job done. There was follow-through from Crystal at the main office to make sure things were done right and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s nice to know that good old-fashioned customer service and follow through are not a thing of the past!

Paul, Jay, Roy & Branden were amazing. Jay came out to my house and diagnosed the problem within an hour of my call on a Wednesday or Thursday and had my new system installed the next Monday. I can’t say enough great things about these guys. Fast service, great communication and my house is blowing cool again! We were without AC all summer from early May to mid August because we either 1.) Couldn’t find anyone that would even come out and bid the job or 2.) They over bid it by thousands (and I mean like $10k more) or they said they had to wait months for parts.Great job guys and I would highly recommend this company!

Definition of highway robbery. Paid $129 to receive a $3800 estimate to install track lighting. After review I noticed they were going to charge me $2000 for parts that cost $100 at Home Depot. I informed them I would gladly pick up the parts as was already supplying them with the track lighting. And I would like to proceed with the job and pay the labor fees.Afterwards, the tech tried to state they would not be able to do that since the parts included labor. Which was obviously bogus. The estimate clearly separated parts and labor. This was his way to try to squeeze me for more money. Not to mention the tech wasn't even a master electrician. This was the most outrageous inflated quote I have received and have taken my business elsewhere.

I had 1st Home & Commercial Services come inspect and take video of my plumbing after I have been having issues since purchasing my home. Drew was on time, professional, and very thorough in walking me through the issues he found. Additionally Dominic was able to arrive during the service call so that they could do more investigation and get a clearer picture of the problems with my plumbing from the previous homeowner. Drew and Dominic walked me through the various options to fix my plumbing, they were very patient with me and all my questions!

Had to get our water heater replaced and 1st Home was the quickest to respond to. Meet our needs. We had others return our calls the next day or several hours after contact. The 2 servicemen Andre Ross and Larry Baker were excellent. Andrew removed the old tank and had everything ready for Larry when he came to do the installation. He did a superior job on that installation and provided all the information needed to understand what was done and what we needed to do to ensure the warranty was taken care of. Would not hesitate to use 1st Home for future needs

The service went smoothly. They came in and replaced the disposal on the same day, and it does include a warranty.I did find the service to be quite pricey. The disposal and materials themselves were less than half of the price I paid (according to google, they don’t break out estimates), so labor was the most expensive part of it. Didn’t haggle, cause I didn’t want to be comparing prices, and I could see this would be done properly. But I do think this might be a company on the higher spectrum of pricing.

Quick to reply and send technician. Cost me $99 trip fee to get an extremely overpriced quote. I had an incoming water line leak in PVC joint that attaches to incoming copper line to supply house. I had already uncovered and located the leak. Should have taken less than 30 minutes for repair of a $3 PVC fitting...they wanted $675!

Of course our ac died on a Saturday night. Most places are closed or don't work on Sundays. Someone from their messaging center contacted me on Sunday that they would look for an appt asap. I had a phone call by 7am Mon. AC repair man by 830am. He quickly found the issue, replaced the part and got everything working great again. I was relieved it seemed like a pretty affordable fix. I would recommend this company & that technician Daren.

The plumber was very professional. I’m giving three stars because of the price. $480 to snake a drain? Until now I’ve never paid more than $200. If the price was reasonable this would have been 5 stars.

My tech, Drew Ross, was very professional and personable. He explained what he diagnosed as the problem and explained my options. Best and worst case scenarios. Replaced my shut off valve to dishwasher (best case) and informed me of 12 month warranty. Will definitely call 1st Home for future repairs.

After our fifteen-year-old water heater decided to call it quits during a weekend (cold showers are decidedly no fun), we contacted 1st Home and Commercial Services early the following Monday. Drew got back to us promptly, and was able to come to our home the same day in order to disconnect and drain the existing unit. A team of two technicians arrived the next day with a new, 50-gallon Rheem unit, and were able to remove the old heater and install the new one in about two hours. We were very impressed with how quickly they did the job, as the water heater is located in the attic above our 2nd floor, and the old heater was heavier than expected due to years of calcification (our bad). This was our third time using 1st Home and Commercial Services (a shout out to Daniel for being able to install a j-trap assembly in our guest bathroom last year on short notice!). They've provided us with above-and-beyond customer service unfailingly, and we are happy to be able to add a five-star rating (with a blue ribbon!). Thanks so much.

Excellent service provided by Darius McKinnis! Was very professional. Was very honest and upfront with costs. Worked diligently and efficiently. Replaced an ice water maker outlet box and saved the drywall pieces cut out so I could easily patch it up on my own afterwards. He even helped troubleshoot my kitchen faucet after the water main was turned back on without an extra charge. Due to his excellent service, I will be asking for him in the future for any plumbing needs!

Our yard was filling with water a few weeks ago. My partner dug a trench and we located the leak ourselves -- a pinhole in our copper main. We temporarily patched it and had someone quote us on the fix. Their price felt really high, but they brushed us off when we asked why (what *seemed* like) a small job was so expensive. They kept the fee and we never heard from them again.The next week we called 1st Home and Commercial and they sent out Dominic. He quoted us in the same ballpark price (but about a hundred dollars less than the competition), and most importantly: he actually explained what was going on. Dominic patiently explained that the location of the leak on a bend in the pipe very near the foundation meant he would have to remove and replace a whole section -- much more complicated than the quick-fix I would have thought necessary. His willingness to break down the problem for me made me confident I wasn't being ripped off. He took great care of us, sorted the problem efficiently, and he was a really nice dude, to boot.We will definitely be coming back to 1st for our future plumbing needs.

They scheduled me quickly, came as scheduled, followed Covid protocols, and repaired hard to reach leaks and damaged faucets. I finished renovating a rental property and the last day on the project I had a water leak in the main kitchen. I spent 30 minutes and couldn't find where the leak came from.I am from out of state and had a 20 hour drive the same day. I messaged several plumbing services and 1st Home quoted me the cheapest price and arrived within one hour.The first technician was very nice and did everything he could to find the leak and non of us can figure where the puddle of water was coming from. Unfortunately I had to leave the state and prayed that the leak would fix it self.I had a friend check in on the house and there was a puddle of water beneath the sink. We recalled 1st Home while on. The road and they sent a different technician within an hour of the same day. He spent 30 minutes trying to find the leak and couldn't locate it. As soon he called me the to tell me he couldn't find anything the leak finally presented itself and he fixed it.On top of that they didn't recharge me for another service call. We felt so relieved for the rest of the drive home.So, I highly recommend them for speedy service with the cheapest service fee.

Ryan was very courteous and professional. He quickly installed a new Honeywell thermostat and answered all my electrical questions too. I am satisfied with this product and the service provided by this company (as before on some maintenance I needed on AC unit).

They require that you pay $129 to come out and give you a quote on a job where they are charging you an insane amount of labor for the job. They don't provide an itemized breakdown of the job like part cost, labor and tax. This is the shadiest way to conduct business. I would never ever use them for any repair work. Smh!

In the midst of worst winter freeze probably ever 1st Home was taking calls when it was virtually impossible to get through to anyone. I got through immediately to their office and they took the details of my frozen/burst pipe and got me on the list customers needing service. They kept me up to date on the progress being made to my request. On the very day that my water was restored and repairs could be made they showed and determined the location of my leaking pipe. It was a very difficult repair but their service professional stuck with it and got the leak repaired. 1st Home installed a new AC window unit in my home. They were wonderful even though I had a ton of questions and had trouble deciding the best way to proceed. 1st Home & Commercial Services did a great job getting my tankless water heater replaced after the big 2021 ice storm. Like many folks in Austin we were without hot water for several weeks as plumbers scrambled to get hot water heaters delivered and installed. We had called three other plumbers and were not able to get anything scheduled with them, even the plumber that did all our plumbing and AC work when we built our home. Paul, their operations manager, did a great job finding us a heater and he personally installed it! We are so thankful we didn't have to wait longer to get hot water. I highly recommend them.

Dominic was amazing! We called 1st Home and Commercial Services after reading the positive Google reviews because we needed help with an installation for a new bathroom sink and hardware and they were able to help us the same day. It was not a straight forward installation and we were missing a part. Dominic called multiple stores to track down the needed pieces and he did a stellar job with the installation. We also had questions about clogged drains and he recommended a product that he offered to drop off on his route the next business day. Dominic was friendly and really went the extra mile. He was also mindful of the current health crisis and practiced distancing and was wearing PPE including a mask and shoe covers. We were very impressed with the service and look forward to working with him again.

Had sewer backup into both bathrooms on a Sunday, which means emergency fees (willing to pay them, but still.) 1st Home offers 24/7 service, let me know up front about said emergency fees, SERVICES DEL VALLE, and was able to dispatch Daniel in a timely fashion. He guided me through self-checking the cleanouts before he arrived; once he was onsite he asked me more questions about the nature of the backup and the circumstances behind it, before getting to work. Once Daniel resolved the clog, he spent time answering my questions about both potential end-of-life issues for our pipes, and ways to keep things clear until further, more serious examination can be scheduled. He was thorough, professional, and very good at explaining the whys and wherefores of blockage and how a future camera exploration might pan out in an accessible manner. I'd recommend 1st Home & Commercial to others, and would call them again.

I have used First plumbing services I guess they do everything now -for my rental property exclusively and a few years back they installed a sump pump because the property lies lower than it should. Well the problem happened again and the technician went to the property and found the reason why the toilet was backing up into the shower was because the sump pump had stopped working. The outdoor electrical outlet had gotten water in it and it shorted out so all he needed to do was trip the breaker. He explained what happened and that the outlet should be one that is protected from the elements because it needs to be plugged in all the time obviously My question to him was since they installed it why would they not have installed the proper outdoor outlet so this couldn't happen ?!- and I never heard back from the company! In my mind to make this right I think they should replace the outlet with a proper cover I don't ask for a monetary compensation I would just like to have it fixed -done the right way

Daniel did an amazing job working on our garbage disposal and toilet. He took the time to educate us on what the issues were and what to look for to prevent any more issues. He was professional and quick at fixing everything!

Misleading about their massive fees and billing procedures; unprofessional office staff.Called them to come give me a quote for the repair of a commercial water heater and their response time sounded good. When they came out I was told that the Evaluation Service Fee, was 255$, regardless of how simple the issue is. Sounded excessive, but since that usually comes with the work, I said ok. Their technician Dominic was good with his work, etc. He was able to fix the problem (even with a few complications, i.e. blew one of our fuses touching two leads together so had to run and get more; needed a tool he didn't have on his van so had to run get it, etc.). So after the work, he said that his supervisor would not let him invoice me, which is somewhat unusual as well (and would have been nice to know upfront). Of course you try to work with everyone you want to continue doing business with, so complied in good faith. Well after paying, realized that I had been charged the full amount of the repair and then also the service fee. Since usually if I bid out a job to a company, on giving them the job they include that in the cost for the work. Maybe an oversight. Called their office and spoke with their Office Manager Jennifer, who when asked about it made it clear that she felt I was attempting to not pay them for the work done. I apologized and told her that I would like to keep doing business with them, but that the usual was to include a Service Call fee within the cost of the payment for providing the business. She was very clear that they did not feel they needed our business. Did not want to even let me speak to someone else, said I would have to schedule a call. No wonder they did not want to invoice me. Well point taken. I'll never work with this company again.If you are with the company reading this; please make sure that if you are going to charge an excessive service fee and not include it with the work (as is a standard in the industry) that you are making that explicit to the person who is paying.Misleading customers is unethical, and not very good business.

I had a great experience with these folks. Highly recommend. I called in the morning after we found a burst water line out in the front yard. The lady who answered the phone initially said they were booked for the day, but when she heard about the problem she and the team shuffled appointments around to help me out. Two guys were here in just a few hours - Dominic and Mark - and they were total pros and friendly as well. I called early this morning and Darius arrived within an hour of my call to repair a leak under my kitchen sink. Leak was caused by a faulty installation of dishwasher drain line by previous plumber. Darius located the problem and fixed it within three hours of the initial call. Above and beyond service. Highly recommend!

My heating/ac was not acting right - cold air was coming out when I expected hot ... and my electric bill had increased significantly .... it is fairly new, installed two years ago as a new unit. 1st Home sent out their employees Ryan Hill and Mikhail.After taking time to totally examine the unit, they showed me where the unit was failing to function properly and why. The original installation had been a fairly shoddy job, which unfortunately did not surprise me, and Ryan explained how they could fix the problem.I now have a wonderful unit that I expect will serve me very well.I like the fact that I am part of their membership and that all my heating/ac, electrical, and plumbing needs will be addressed by them as part of my membership.Ryan and Mikhail were particularly helpful, polite, punctual, courteous, knowledgable .... everything you would hope for in regards to service people entering your home to help.

Five stars and more to David and Caleb. They are the best and my new favorite electrical technicians. They replaced my interior panel and installed an exterior disconnect service panel 200 amp. 1st Home & Commercial services performed a system check And cleaning on my home HVAC system that I had performed to provide a health report to the buyer of my home.1H&CS was thorough in setting up the appointment, confirming the appointment, and following up after the appointment was finished.Miriam (the tech) came out first thing in the morning on a Friday. She did a great job explaining the work she was going to be performing and explaining the issues that she found. Everything was performed very much to my satisfaction.

While I was working out of the country, renters in my home reported that there was a persistent leak coming through the kitchen ceiling from the attic. When I got home several days later, the problem had worsened, and I immediately saw that there was a break or something in the PVC pipe that drains the AC condensation. It was a Saturday evening; I left a voice message for the folks at Int Home & Commercial, and they returned my call Monday morning, and put me on the schedule for Tuesday, first thing. I had to leave Tuesday, so I called and asked if they could possibly get the tech out to fix the leak early on Monday. They said they would try to accommodate that, and, just an hour later, they called to tell me that a tech could come to my house right away. Great news! Chris Wyatt, a senior tech, showed up promptly, fixed the break very quickly, and gave me a report on the state of my AC unit, telling me the heat-exchange(?) mechanism would soon rust sufficiently to cause problems with gas leaking into the AC ducts, and that I should probably replace the entire system. It is a 30-year old TRANE system, and has served me perfectly well for those 30 years, but I decided to take his advice and replace it with a new, more efficient, remotely programmable system -- and they put me on the schedule for a week later. The installation was done in one day by Branden, Ryan, and Tyler, who came on time and did an excellent job on a long, hot day. In sum, I really can't say enough good words about the service I received from 1st Home and Commercial Services,a dn I HIHGLY recommend calling them if you need AC-related work, especially. I had used them previously to repair some of my AC ducts after rats/squirrels had damaged them, and that experience was also 100% positive, and with fair pricing. Five stars all the way.

As usual, they promptly confirmed my appointment, the first technician and electrician at my house within an hour! Heating fixed, warm house now! Superior service every time I have used them and I have used him at least 10 times.

I needed a plumber to reconfigure a washer dryer hookup before putting up some drywall. Since the drywall guy was on his way, I needed someone immediately. I called that morning and 30 minutes later Ryan showed up. He was courteous, knowledgeable, a good listener and up front about the costs of everything. He explained everything carefully, and even suggested some things that saved me money. I have scheduled Ryan for more work next week and am happy to have found a plumber, and a plumbing company, that is efficient and prompt and customer friendly.

Fantastic service! Called them out for second opinion, and our tech Nathan saved us hundreds of dollars in tile, and sheetrock repair. Instead of a valve problem in the wall we had a heating element out on the hot water heater which was actually covered by a warranty. Highly recommended.

During Austin’s February snowpocalypse, we had 3 pipes burst. 1st Home and Commercial Services was the only company that answered their phone and got us on a schedule quickly. Chris Thompson is FANTASTIC! He was super friendly and knowledgeable. I started a DYI project renovating an upstairs bathroom and ran into some problems. They got us on the schedule for same day basically, I called late night before. They responded early in the morning and we were set with a time. Since we were without water that was much appreciated! Chris arrived in the time window provided. He did a thorough assessment and then gave me the quote for the job. He even offered to let me watch as he worked. He repaired several of my not great soldering on copper pipe. Thoroughly checked all of the rest and ran a few tests to be sure there were no leaks. Peace of mind knowing it’s done right and double checked before we put up cement board and tile is priceless. But the price was totally reasonable! No extra fees or surprises. The price he quoted after the inspection before starting work was what they charged. We have used other plumbers previously but from now on we are only going with 1st Home and Commercial Services. It’s stressful dealing with plumbing issues. They help make it as painless as possible, treat customers right and have awesome employees. Thanks for the help and advice, Chris!! I recently moved from Dallas and I chose 1st Home & Commercial Services based on their Google reviews. I definitely made the right choice! I needed a hot water heater and toilet installed. Master plumber Chris Thompson came out and did a terrific job. Prior to the installation, Chris noticed that the old hot water heater was not up to code. Chris pointed out the issues and assured me that the new hot water heater would be installed up to code. I highly recommend 1st Home & Commercial for all your plumbing and AC needs. Be sure to ask for master plumber Chris Thompson. Also since I recently moved, I couldn't find any of my tools. Chris was able to tighten up the hoses to my washing machine at no charge. While trying to remove a stump in my yard I accidentally hit a water pipe. In a panic I assumed I hit my main water line so naturally shut off the main water valve and proceeded to call any 24hr plumbing service that would take my call. I called these guys after some horrible service with Roto Rooter and was immediately put in contact with their master plumber David who calmly walked me through a series of questions and asked me to send him some pics of the pipes. Immediately after sending them he told me I had hit my irrigation piping, explaining everything, and advised that I could turn my main line back on after I shut off the irrigation water flow. All while he stayed on the phone with me. Not only did he solve my problem on the eve of thanksgiving but also saved me a ton of money. That kind of service is world class and can’t recommend these guys enough for their willingness to help and expertise. Thanks again!! You guys are awesome! Highly recommend!

A job well done . I'm a satisfied customer of 1st Home &Commercial Service. We had a problem with our Hot water heater not working , so I called 1st Home and little to my surprise they sent Mr. Caleb out to our house within 30 minutes. This man diagnosed the problem in about 3-5 minutes and changed the fried Breaker out, the hot water started working. This man told me to call our electric company because of the numerous power surges in our community to file a claim, we did , the next thing I knew our problem was solved both ways. We got our Hot water back on and at the same time a claim being processed to refund what we paid 1st Home . Great service , and I will be definitely be referring 1st Home.

I choose 1st Home & Commercial initially because they were down the street from our home. We've had 3 AC services performed and a spring clean/checkup and have had good results. Each technician we've had have been friendly and helpful, with Tyler, Tim and Chris being the most recent. Each service has definitely been an investment cost wise, but work from years past has seemed to held up well so far.

Had them out yesterday to fix my ac. found the problem (burnt up capacitor) had the part on the truck and 45 minutes later we we done. Junior my tech was very good. reasonably priced. Nice Job! would recommend

This company was responsive and the technicians were very pleasant and polite hence the 2 stars. However, we were given a bid to replace a ‘pump’ on our a/c unit which was not heating for $696. I was charged a $69 dispatch fee and decided on getting a second opinion. I had Fox Service Co come out to see the unit (free 2nd opinion). The technician said it could be air in the line, he flushed it out and the unit works perfectly. No pump replacement and just $75 for labor.1st Co has technicians who don’t know what they’re doing or can’t be bothered. You decide.

The company handled dealing with the gas company to make sure they turned things back on that night. This was the best outcome possible for the repair needed.

The technician ( Mikhail Yearwood) was timely courteous ,professional, knowledgeable and respectful. I had a problem with the ac for 3 years , it would stop cooling on really hot days, I went through four different companies that could not find nor duplicate the problem. I would not recommend 1st Home & Commercial Services. They charged me $927 to fix a leak. Dug a hole 4ft x 12in x 18 in and replaced a one inch pipe about 18 inches long. It is my fault for approving this job. I should have sent them away when they told me it would be$500 to locate leak. Next time I will get several estimates.

I've gotten several jobs done in the apartment complex I work at and by far this last time that Matt came and took care of an underground leak we were having has been the best experience by far. They were able to fit me in on short notice for a clogged kitchen sink drain. My only complaint is that they were a bit pricier than some other quotes I got (and they didn’t quote up front), but I’m chalking that up to the cost of getting it done much more quickly.

Working in customer service and administrative assistance for over 10 years and my first interaction with first commercial via front desk was very sassy, rude and felt rushed off the phone. The technician was very kind and informative of my AC issue. Administratively; customer service lacks understanding and patience. All I needed to do was clarify information at the time. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Paid $550 to have them come clean my AC unit. Didn't check any airflow, showed me before/after pictures of the unit and looked at my Nest thermostat and left. Low and behold a few hours later; my house isn't being cooled to 72 degrees as it had been set, it's now slowly creeping towards the 80 degree mark.The worst part is when I called them to explain my issue and see if they could come back out (business is literally a mile or two from my house); I was told no technicians. Ok, that's understandable, but when I asked if fees could be waived for not fixing my AC unit the first time and coming out the next morning, I was greeted with hostility. I believe it was something like, I'm sorry what? I can't do that, unbelievable., I am then put on hold for upwards of 10 minutes with no explanation....I eventually hung up the phone and when I called back, got the same person, albeit a bit nicer saying they were calling technicians for me... Interesting, couldn't have mentioned that when you aggressively put me on hold with no explanation. Also, nothing was mentioned about any sort of fees for the upcoming visit. Definitely cancelling any sort of maintenance contract with them after that experience. And now another day wasted where I have to wait around for them to come. PASS...UPDATE: 4 Days Later... AC has begun not cooling again. Another call to the company, can't send anyone out today of course. So after 3 visits, 1st being the initial diagnosis, the next being the 4th, they still haven't fixed the problem. Didn't know fixing AC was like playing horseshoes or bags, just throw something at it and hope it works, who cares if it takes them 4 times to fix it. My electric bill is considerably higher than it's ever been. Oh well, live and learn I suppose. And what have we learned today? Not to use 1st Home & Commercial Services....UPDATE July 16th, 2019: Feel like it's just due diligence to update this review now. Cancelled my maintenance contract so I am only minus $400 dollars and no working AC, guess that's better than $550. So after their 4th visit to my house, they finally determined there was a giant crack in between a vent/furnace in my attic and basically all my cold air was leaking out... SO WHY DID IT TAKE 4 TIMES TO FIND THIS??? I have no idea. Again, it's cost a lot in time (mine and the companies) and energy (bills) for them to determine this. I asked if the tech could send me the pictures he took in my attic, and he said he would send a quote.July 17th, 2019: Finally received the quote at noon, $370.00 to repair a duct with aluminum tape... Hmmm, hard pass. Even if I have to pay someone double or get up there myself, it would be worth it. That's about how I feel after a week plus of this, 4 visits, and who knows how many phone calls.

Chris came out to flush my main line a month ago, as I have a break in it that was causing it to back up regularly. He was very friendly and courteous and I trusted his assessment at the time. However, I have later learned that he quoted me a high price to fix issues that were not accurate - the physical location of the break was not even close to being accurate - and this was proven by another plumbing company, who I will stick with from now on. They are fixing the correct issue now at half the price.

We are extremely happy that 1st Plumbing was able to help fix a leak above the ceiling in our bathroom--the day we moved in! It was very late on a Saturday but they came through for us! We will be hiring them in the future for additional plumbing needs!

Our AC completely stopped working on a Saturday afternoon when temperatures were forecast to be into triple digits. John Gumfory was our technician and promptly addressed the problem. He went out of his way to explain things not only to us every step of the way, but also to our landlord. I'd highly recommend these guys. They can be trusted!

Had a crack in my water line caused by an oversized root. Got estimates and found 1st Plumbing to have the most reasonable price. Service man came out to the house that same day and had the repair fixed within the hour. 1st Plumbing Services far exceeded my expectations. Will not go anywhere else.

I had a gas water heater knocking and making noise. I had read online that depending on the situation, it might be something potentially dangerous, so I called 1st Home & Commercial Services. Ryan came out and took at look at what was going on. The good news is there's no danger right now, just sediment knocking around inside when the water is being heated. The bad news is that my water heaters are over 10 years old, so I need to start saving up to replace them. No repairs were needed to be done immediately, so I was only charge an inexpensive trip charge of $59, which was well worth the piece of mind. As a bonus, Ryan was very knowledgable and provided tons of information that should save me money in the future.

I could've had the worst experience, were it not for Chris. What started out as a routine plumbing job turned out to be a half-day job. Suffice it to say, the invoice ended up tripling by the time they were finished. But, this wasn't his fault. Chris was patient with me and explained our options has the project progressed. Not only did he point out the issues, as they were coming up, he also explained what we could do to fix the problem -- obviously he's seen it all before.tl;dr -- Highly recommended... even for the most difficult plumbing issues.

I do not recommend this company. There was an exterior leak at my elderly fathers home and they tried to take advantage of him charging double the amount. I called the main office and spoke to Millie who in a very rude tone told me that that was the going rate. She then offered to charge an hourly rate in lieu of the inflated rate but would not give a time estimate which seemed very suspicious to me. The technician also said he could not give an estimate either. I paid the $69 service fee just to get the technician to leave. I then called Classic Plumbing who sent out three technicians and charged half the price. So spare yourself the headache and SKIP 1st Home & Commercial when searching for quality affordable service.

Great service and rich experience to solve my bathtub shower leaking problem

Awful company that has no integrity or want to do right by their customers. I just spent $5,000 on a new HVAC SYSTEM 2 months ago. TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH!!! We discussed that I keep my home at 68-70 degrees and they recommended a certain unit. The unit never cooled my home sufficiently. I had to call them out 5 times and every time I got a different explanation for why it wasn’t working then they switched out my thermostat to a thermostat that they can run tests on.... still no follow up or a reasonable explanation for why my house would never cool to 70 degrees.... I can’t even get it below 75 degrees until 2:00 am when outside has cooled down. This has been going on for 2 months now and they finally told me that there is nothing they can do about it and that it acceptable for the unit not to be able to cool to 70.... they said their guidelines is that as long as the HVAC cools the home down to within 25 degrees outside then it is working properly. And then they basically told me that if I wanted to cool my home down to 70 degrees that I’d have to pay for them to install a bigger unit that would cost $2k more on top of the $5k I already paid. Then they didn’t even have the decency to come out and take their test thermostat back and put my nest thermostat back on the wall..... the test thermostat is still on my wall! These people do not care about their clients and they gave me the run around for 2 min ya before basically telling me f*** off. Now I am going to have to speak to the manufacturer of my unit to try to get help. I am contacting the better business bureau. And if nothing helps I will be contacting my lawyer. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!!!

I've owned my house for 28 years, so I've had a lot of maintenance and I can say without reservation that 1st Home & Commercial is in a class by itself. No offense to other good contractors, but the difference is stricking. I recently needed major plumbing repairs and 1st Home & Commercial was recommended by a neighbor and today, they did AC maintenance work. In both cases 1st Home & Commercial rose above other providers in terms of professional practices, experience, quality, courtesy and competency of the technicians. Because they cover all the bases--electrical, plumbing, HVAC--you don't need to call anyone else. And, importantly, their prices are extremely fair.

Called to get pricing on 2 different properties for Hydro Jetting. After multiple phone calls of concern after the service was done, I was told they were too busy to help out. After over charging of the service you would think they would be happy to help to ensure the job was done correctly. EXTREMELY disappointed

I can’t tell you how thankful I am for the job Chris did. An outside pipe broke at night and it was 28 degrees. I must’ve called literally 10 companies and none offered to come out that night. Chris did and (along with Casey) dug deep into the ground while it was freezing outside to fix the pipe. And on top of all that, they charged half of what a competitor told me over the phone they would do it for. I never comment on these things but I had to. These guys are legit.

Plumber arrived 4 hours late with no text to say he was on the way. Plumber messed up my Pressure Regulator Valve leaving me with very little water pressure in my house. Told me he could fix it for an extra $380 (around that amount anyway) after i had already paid over $400.You read that correctly. He wanted to charge me $380 for messing up my valve.Owner or manager of the company (I assume) called me 20 days later to check on how my service went. Told him it was a cluster. He told me he would come out and check personally the next day.Didn't show up.He called back 3 days later stating he would come out.Never came by, never called, nothing.1st Commercial Plumbers is a lousy company. Stay way.

Ryan is who came out to fix what I thought was the fan motor for the compressor. Turns out it was just a worn out capacitor. He was polite, professional and patient when explaining what was wrong with the system. He even offered a couple other tidbits on preventative maintenance and other services offered. 10/10 will use again.

Tyler, Brandon, and KC made sure we were informed and well taken care of while working on our home for several days during a complete rehaul of our duct work and AC replacement. I would recommend 1st Home & Commercial Services for all AC, plumbing, and duct work. Prior to our duct and AC replacement, they also replaced all of our plumbing as quickly and least invasively as possible.

Called early that morning, air conditioner wasn't working. The repairmen showed up that afternoon, diagnosed the problem and was able to fix it within 30 minutes. Wonderful guys and awesome experience!

We returned home from Spain to a plumbing emergency, it was a Sat night right in the middle of the UT football game. We called at least 5 different places that advertise 24/7 emergency service and we either got an answering machine, no call back or “we are too busy”. This company called us right back and came out and fixed it for us that night. We felt they were very honest and on the up and up…we will use them from now on.

Best plumber - Exceptional service, courteous and the best price.Wife calls with an emergency - busted pipe, water running down the street. I call 5-6 plumbers, none of which were available without a hefty emergency fee, before reaching the great people at 1st plumbing. 1st plumbing arrived within an hour of my call, idenitifed the issue quickly and repaired the busted pipe even faster. I have found my plumber for all future issues.

I had 1st Plumbing to check some issues in my commercial building. They did an excellent job while Sean explained the entire procedure to me. I will call them in the future for any of my plumbing needs at my home or office building.

Charged me $69 to go through the same 60 second process of trying to light the water heater. They then quoted us $200 to come back another day and call the troubleshooting phone number on the water heater or $800 to fix the most likely problem (the gas valve). This is a $15 part! I got someone on craigslist to fix it for $50. Don't waste your money with these guys

Angry. I spoke with them the night before the appointment to confirm the time slot. My wife took the day off of work. I set my phone down at work and missed a couple calls from them and they don't send anyone, because apparently they *must* hear from you the day of the appointment or they won't send anyone.Confirmation the night before should be good enough for anyone.

First Plumbing sent out a tech to give me a bid to extend gas to an electric stove that I was going to convert to a gas stove. I showed him where all the gas lines were coming into the house. He refused to go up onto the attic to look at anything and said he could re-route it from my patio area and then said he'd get back with me with a bid within two days. OK... four days passed so I called and they said oh it would be $1750. When I told the guy the first guy wouldn't look in the attic and that I wanted my service fee of $45 back he said he would come out and look at it. GUESS WHO NEVER SHOWED? In the mean time I had someone else come out who found it IN THE ATTIC where it was plumbed right above where my new gas stove will be. This new company only charged me $475. WOW...what a difference! Like making $1275! Still out my $45 from the dumbo who came out first. GRRRRRRRR on principal. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY.

It was repaired quickly and the technicians, Olen and Travis, were great! They kept me informed throughout the repair, they were up front with the cost of the repair, and they were very friendly!
