Capital City Plumbing & Drain

I'm a real estate agent and I just used Capital City Plumbing for my clients who were buying. I have used them in the past as well, but this transaction was more complicated with a foundation repair and a tight timeline. I needed to get repairs done before closing and Capital City Plumbing did a fantastic job communicating and getting the job done for me in order to close for my buyers on time. I also got another bid and they actually beat their price. Everything was super easy, great communication, and they understood my urgency of needing to get it done by a certain date and made it happen. The technicians were also super helpful and explained all of my questions and got back to me right away. I did not feel rushed or like I was bothering them. The entire staff including the techs and the office staff made me feel like they genuinely cared. I will definitely go to Capital City Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs in the future for my clients. Fantastic service and I felt they were very honest. Being in the industry and working with a lot of different vendors makes you truly appreciate the good ones. They were fantastic on all fronts. Thank you again.

I called several different companies for a toilet repair and angle stop fix, and Capital City Plumbing was by far the most communicative and responsive. They set expectations, and let me know a range of what it could cost depending on what the plumber found. They had a very competitive rate, and the plumber that did the work gave me options that would save me money, which was refreshing. I'm happy with the work and will continue to use them in the future.

Had a great experience with Shawn. They replaced our pump on our sump pump and it is working great. Very affordable compared to Radiant and they shot us straight.

Can't recommend them enough.Really friendly, both over the phone in being accommodating to my schedule, and in person. I had a pipe burst while I was out of town, and was coming back in town Friday night and was hoping to have water back on by Saturday. Nathan was able to come out first thing Saturday and was very friendly and polite. He was happy to answer questions and explain to me how things worked and was able to identify and fix the issue faster than I could've imagined. He was upfront about the costs and I can say this is a very honest business that does quality work at a fair price.

Mike and Kyle came out from Capital City Plumbing to diagnose and repair a leak behind the wall of my shower. They were determined to find and fix the leak. They were very clear on the cost, and the damage to the tile and wall that were necessary to get to the leak. Good communication, quick repair, and they cleaned up after. What a great experience, and I don't know that I can say that for most service appointments. Thank you

I can't be happier today than right this moment with Capital City Plumbing & Drain. They swooped down like Iron Man and Captain America and saved my day. I left them a message in the middle of the night on Yelp, and not only did they follow up on the message, but they also called me back and found someone to come to my house immediately.Allow me a moment to rave and cheer over the phone call. That was a professional phone call. The lady who called me asked me proper probing questions, got my name and address, had a great follow-up, and sent me a text message and email with links. When she took my email, she even repeated it back, which is not something everyone does. She is an exemplary example of how to take calls for situations like this, and she deserves a raise. Unfortunately, I forgot to write her name down, and that's on me. Yet, I just found it a breath of fresh air given the morning I've had trying to find a plumber to help me.Hunter and Mike arrived, on time, well dressed, and were professionals. In less than 30 minutes, they had figured out what was wrong. This situation will require a follow-up, and I am looking forward to it. Who looks forward to future plumbing jobs? Not me normally, but I am now!Best yet, there wasn't some weird pressure-filled sales situation. They were honest, explained my options, and were fine with what we decided. Nathan did a fantastic job diagnosing a dishwasher leak. He arrived promptly, and the tracking app was helpful in knowing exactly when he would arrive. He was exceptionally through, knowledgeable and efficient. He went above and beyond to help with uninstalling my dishwasher safely so we could attend the water damage. Cap City is my go-to from now on for all plumbing issues

Capital City is super competitively priced! I got estimates that were so much higher. And they don’t skimp on quality or customer service. They were fast, friendly, and professional. I’d had two plumbers out for the same problem and it persisted until I hired Cap City. Within an hour it was fixed and hasn’t reoccurred. Support this small family owned local business! You won’t be sorry.

Gabe & Nick did an outstanding job. They were careful with all the new floors in the house and bathrooms and made sure nothing happened. All the work performed was done perfectly. No other way to say it. When finished with 6 faucet installations, a pedestal sink installation, and a toilet installation they gave us a thorough walk through to show there were no leaks or issues with their work. We will be calling them back for future work. All of this was completed with a price that that was more than fair. Thank you for treating our house like it was yours.

Excellent experience with Capital City Plumbing and Drain at a reasonable price. Worked with Shawn and his communication was great. Called before he arrived and answered all the questions we had.Worked was well done with our outside pipes and valves and he cleaned the area when he completed the work.Had Shawn also look at our water heater project and he gave us a few different options to consider and was very informative.I would recommend Capital City Plumbing and will give them a ring for next project.

This rave review is belated, but I just want to sincerely thank Capital City Plumbing and Drain, and especially Ryan, for doing such great work. We were concerned that we had a pipe collapse and that we would need to completely replace our old cast iron plumbing. That day will come, but for now the problem ended up just being a blockage. Ryan devoted serious time and effort to carefully investigating the problem, and then clearing the blockage. We are really thankful for his patience and focus and expertise! Capital City was also a fantastic company to communicate with. They were clear, prompt and efficient with texts and phone calls. Thank you so much again.

The guys got hung up on a previous job, which I understand since my ex was a plumber his entire career. Despite the delay, the company was very communicative re: the lateness. And the quality and value of the service made up for it in spades :-) Friendly and knowledgeable techs went out of their way to ensure a job well done (and it was NOT a pleasant job!).

My water main broke and my water had to be shut off, which was a drag. Nathan and his crew went above and beyond the call to get my water main replaced. There was a scheduling issue with their regular digging crew. So, they rented the equipment and did the digging themselves. I could not be more pleased with how quickly they got the job done and my water back on!

We hired Capital City as part of a refresh on our house before putting it up for sale. We gave Jeff Bogus a list, he bid it, and we approved the work. He then took the liberty of adding on to his scope of work, and got snippy when we told him that wasn't in his bid - that it was on other vendor's work list. We questioned his bill, and endured some of his psuedo-legal bickering. Ultimately we paid his price and moved on - it wasn't worth the trouble. HOWEVER, a month later, we got a $1000 water bill. We asked Jeff to come out and check his work. He refused, saying that since we argued over the original bill, that removes (us from) additional work and warranty. As a recovering attorney, I always find this psuedo-legal babble entertaining. What isn't so entertaining is a plumber that's hard to deal with on the front end, and won't help on the back end when there's a problem. Caveat Emptor.

Today the technician was supposed to be here between 8 and 10 am. I cancelled the appointment because the technician arrived at 10:15 or 10:20 to start a major job and I had an appointment later after lunch. The excuse the office gave me was that the technician forgot his tools at home and had to go back to get them. This was the second time this has happen with the same technician. The first time I had an appointment with same technician came to do the job he said his tools were in the truck and the truck was in the shop so he had to come back to do the work. The second appointment with same technician went well and the work was done well. But forgetting tools or not having tools with you 2 out of 3 times does not make for good customer service.

We have worked with Jeff at Capital City Plumbing on many occasion's providing excavation services. As an excavation company, we operate on a tight schedule and expect plumbers to start and complete jobs in a timely manner, Jeff and his crew are always on schedule !!! He provides us with detailed diagrams for every job, his attention to detail is among the best in the industry. We are always confident that his projects will be run smoothly and efficiently. If you are looking for a plumber with strong communication skills and has an attention to detail, I would strongly recommend Jeff at Capital City Plumbing.

Got really quick service on a holiday weekend! Nick was efficient and gracious and answered all of my questions. He even gave me some tips on how to keep the kitchen drain line clear on an ongoing basis.

WE CALLED MID MORNING ON SATURDAY WITH WATER STANDING IN THE KITCHEN. A PERSON ACTUALLY ANSWERED THE PHONE. ASA WOODLAND CAME OUT AND IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM. WE WERE SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY AM. ASA ARRIVED PROMPTLY AND WORKED UNTIL 9PM TO LOCATE AND REPAIR THE LEAKS WITHIN THE WALLS. HE WAS ABLE TO GET US WATER FOR MOST OF THE HOME WITHOUT LEAKS. HE RETURNED TODAY AS SCHEDULED AND WORKED EIGHT HOURS TO FINISH UP. THE WORK WAS DONE WITHIN THE BID AND SEEMS TO BE GOOD. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KEPT US UPDATED ON HIS PROGRESS AND ESTIMATED COMPLETION. THE COST SEEM IN LINE WITH OTHER PLUMBING WE HAVE HAD DONE. ASA IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS HE IS COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL AND CLEANS UP WHEN THE JOB IS COMPLETE.
