I recently had to call Rooter-Man to fix a water leak probably caused by an ice storm cleanup crew dropping a large log on the shallow line near the water meter. David, the technician who came to fix the issue, was extremely professional, efficient, and friendly. He quickly identified and fixed the problem in less than three hours. I was impressed with the quality of his work and his customer service skills.Although Rooter-Man's prices are on the steep side, I think their service is worth the extra cost. After spending quite some time trying to locate the leak myself, I'm glad I called Rooter-Man and had David fix the issue. He not only fixed the leak but also gave me some helpful tips on other plumbing issues.Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the service provided by Rooter-Man and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services. Their professionalism, efficiency, and friendly customer service made a stressful situation much easier to handle. Thank you, Rooter-Man, for a job well done!

Curtis was great! We had a leak in the gas pipe to our water heater, and Rooter was able to get Curtis out to us in under an hour. He was super friendly, and took time to explain everything throughout the repair process. He was able to get everything fixed and looking great very quickly. Will definitely recommend and use Rooter again in the future!

I cannot recommend this company enough. Curtis came out and quickly identified the problem that he was here to fix with my shower/tub. I asked him to take a look at my water heater so that he could get an idea of what I needed so I could get a replacement scheduled in the near future. He found a leak in the water heater that could have been a major issue, AND he replaced that for me as well. He didn’t hesitate to help. He went above and beyond and worked until 9pm fixing both things. Who does that kind of service anymore? He was thorough and it was obvious that he takes pride in his work. I won’t hesitate to use this company and Curtis again for my plumbing needs!

We decided to go with Rooterman Plumbing of Austin after already having made an appointment with a different company. We did this because after calling and speaking to Misty she seemed well informed of all the different options that had to do with our clogged drain line from the house to the septic tank. We called and cancelled with the other company after Misty immediately reached back out to let us know that David, a master technician was in the area and able to come by right there and then. David went above and beyond to help us resolve our issue. He was kind and extremely knowledgeable. He ran a camera down our lines and showed us all of our issues as well as gave us recommendations on how to correct them. He explained everything as he did it and was very knowledgeable! We will never look elsewhere when it comes to any of our plumbing or septic system problems in the future. Highly recommend this company.

Rooter-Man did an amazing job! I can't stress enough how much I appreciate Josh for coming out and the professional level of service. I had a massive leak that was flooding my backyard due to piping failure and called around but couldn't get anyone for over a week. I called Rooter-man and they were able to schedule someone to come out the same day. Josh was very knowledgeable about the situation, listening to my concerns and questions and gave me clear answers and things I should keep in mind for the future. Josh really did solid work. While I was skeptical of finding a good plumber at first, I will definitely use Rooter-man in the future. I don't usually right reviews but this was a very good experience.

I was very happy about the quick, same day service. Removing my old toilet and installing a new one took only two hours. However, I thought $1,601.18 was a very high charge.

Best plumber around! Super professional, punctual, and, most importantly, honest. Our water pressure went down to almost zero within a few hours yesterday. After the city said it was a major problem on my side, I called Rooter-Man because he was recommended to me by a friend who used them for major plumbing repair. David was at my house within 2 hours of my call. After I told him what was going on, he correctly diagnosed my problem (which was not what the city technician said it was), fixed the issue, and saved me several hundred dollars in unnecessary work.

My tenant's garbage disposal unit stop working out of the blue and I called Rooter-Man Plumbing to check it out. They were quick, on time, professional and SUPER helpful. Rooter-Man Plumbing has been a lifesaver! Once you request an appointment, their office team doesn't just put you on the schedule. They actively look for opportunities to squeeze you in sooner. My water heater stopped working on Saturday and Curtis came out first thing Monday morning. He quickly diagnosed the issue and determined that my defective gas valve was eligible for warranty replacement. He even had the part on hand and was able to get my water heater back up and running in no time.I really appreciate Curtis' knowledge and thoughtfulness. Before wrapping up, he patiently answered my questions about factors that affect water heater longevity. I love that Rooter-Man sends you a brief bio of your assigned technician. Curtis has been in the plumbing business since he was 16, and it shows! This was my 4th time working with Rooter-Man and it is again a great experience.

Luke came the same day I called to quickly clear out my clogged tub line. He was very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. While the price for the work was not inexpensive (as all home work in Austin seems to be) he was able to give me a quote prior to starting work and that price did not change. No up sales. I would definitely recommend.

David is incredibly knowledgeable and figured out our issues quickly. He had the repair finished in minutes. And I have to also give a shout out to Misty, who answered my panicked phone call and texted me with status updates. We have used several plumbing services over the years, but have found Rooterman to be the best. This is the third time I have used them, and I will remain a loyal customer!

When I called to get the appointment it was a very busy time for plumbers across Texas and they still got me in very soon. Collen was fantastic. He was very thorough, gave me all options with full explanations and completed the install quickly and cleanly.

Review update- After seeing my review the owner of the company addressed my concerns, came out to address what the problems were, and reduced the charges to a reasonable amount. Although my initial review was poor, I would give them 4 stars after they came to an equitable resolution with me.Initial review- I have used this company many times over the last 5 years at my home and business. This will be the last time. The tech that came to diagnose a plugged sewer line wasted a bunch of time walking around and then billed me for 3 hours when he actually only spent about an hour working. They basically charged me $900 to snake a drain. If you want an honest company that will do a good job for a reasonable price you should look elsewhere.

Shane came out here on short notice and did excellent work to unclog our main toilet just in time for holiday. He was very nice and respectful. Wouldn’t hesitate to call Rooter-Man again.

So happy he was able to solve the counter space issue I was having by permanently installing this portable dishwasher in my tiny kitchen in the cabinets below in just under an hour. Lifesavers. My partner and I moved into our home Summer 2022 and were apprehensive about a septic system, but ready to take on the challenge. Fast forward to last week and we started noticing some irregularities. Given our unfamiliarity with septic systems, I contacted Rooter-Man just before closing on a Friday afternoon and they were able to confirm me for Monday morning.Byron came out and WOW! He really broke everything down for me and explained the mechanics of a septic system, talked about the specific (outdated) system at the property, and possible issues. Turns out, my septic system is near failure. Byron patched us up and got us up and running so it's usable and gave great recommendations on next steps in our long-term repairs. I was certain we were doomed and wouldn't be able to use our plumbing until we got a new system installed, but I am so impressed with Byron's proficiency, his knowledge, and his dedication. I would absolutely call Rooter-Man again for any plumbing needs and Byron is my new go to!

I called on a Saturday after another 24 service never showed up on Friday or Saturday. I called and they showed up in 2 hours. Gave me a GPS TRACKER for plumber to follow his arrival time. Was professional, friendly and did a thorough and quick repair. Excellent service

Byron Lewis was very respectful and kind and professional. He investigated the issue and found out that whoever originally installed the plumbing for the kitchen sink put the wrong size. Which resulted in a leak. I would highly recommend this gentleman for any plumbing issue you have. I'll be definitely referring him to anyone I know and will request him only for any future plumbing needs. Also on the plus side of things, he's a dog person as I have a German Shepherd.

I had one of my water heaters burst in the attic late night. The team at Rooter-Man was able to come the house the next day and replace the unit. They worked carefully- avoiding any unnecessary mess and worked until the job was done. I had a second unit also replaced the same day - given they were both the same vintage. Price wise, I would say average, but the dedication of the team to address the issue promptly and get my home up to code was a big plus. I would use them again for any other issues in the future.

Got notified by the City Water Utilities that I had a leak. Called and managed to get a same day appointment. Curtis Kurka (great honest guy) came and after asking me a few questions and looking around the exterior, told me that since the house was quite new, it was unlikely that it was a major leak . Curtis decided to do the simplest and cheapest test first (to keep my cost low). Well, that test showed that I didn't actually have a leak. I just had a stuck flapper in one of my restrooms. Great company. Honest employees.

A few months back, I had an A/C company clear out some pipes to the best of their ability bc my A/C was not working at my rental property. He said that this would probably continue to be an issue and to call a plumber if the problem came back up.I called Rooterman Plumbing and their front office (from the person that answers the phone to management) is top notch! Misty and Rick were responsive and extremely professional.Curtis Kurka is the actual plumber that came out to my rental property. Curtis worked tirelessly on the issue trying to find the path of least resistance.Ultimately, we had to replace all of the pipes because of how old they were. Super happy with the work they have done: sink install, pressure valve repair in yard, jammed pipes, showed me how to winterize inside and out. Most recently they cleaned out our main drain pipe which exhibited signs of backup. I trust them. Very easy to work with. I love they are Veteran-owned, too.

I have tiki torches that are hooked up to gas in my backyard. One of them had low gas flow. Joshua Brown came and diagnosed the problem through trial and error, he swiftly fixed the problem at what I would call a fair price. Very satisfied, would use their services again.

Curtis was very courteous and professional. He was able to get the 2 toilets draining normally again. Curtis was helpful with his observations and suggestions for other potential issues to watch for.

Curtis did an amazing job. I had a recurring issue with my plumbing backing up due to debris in the pipes that kept recurring after multiple visits from other companies. Curtis came in, added an additional clear out to the line, and hydro jetted the debris to clear the drains. He followed up with a camera of the lines that the blockage was fully cleared and identified another issue that I needed to follow up with the builder on. Very impressed with the level of service, the attention to detail and I am so so happy to have this issue eventually fixed.

I was very satisfied with Rooter-Man's handling of a gas repair I needed. They were super responsive, on-time and nailed the results. I used to cringe at the thought of calling a plumber because I assumed they're all too expensive. I instead used a neighborhood handyman to do my plumbing work. Big mistake! The Rooterman plumber walked me through the work he was doing and explained how the previous work (done by the handyman) was incorrectly done. Hot water hose was connected to the cold and vice versa. The Rooterman was super transparent about the cost of each item and repair and was able to show me the estimate in real time. I highly recommend Rooterman and have learned a valuable lesson. Let plumbers do plumbing work.

Curtis Kurka came out and repaired a drainage issue in our laundry room. He did a great job, communicated well, and was timely.

Fast and efficient. Cleared a clogged laundry drain. Also used checked with the camera, showing no cloga or breaks through the entire line. Quite a relief since there have been a lot of issues in my neighborhood from the previous summer's drought. Also reasonably priced.

Curtis showed up right on time and got straight to work. Within minutes he Identified the problem another plumber failed to see. Though RM couldnt repair because it was a sprinkler leak, Curtis isolated the issue and cut the water to the system so I wont keep getting billed for the leak.

This plumbing service was great. We were able to get scheduled within the hour and Collen was able to answer our questions and fix our pipe issue quickly.

They quickly csme and identified the exact problem. I had 'DIY'ed an insinkerator without punching the hole. They also changed my washer. I was charged 150 for 35 minutes. Work was spot on without scams but price was high.

Dustin did a fantastic job! He replaced a commode, and a faucet cartridge. He was timely, professional, and worked neatly.

I had an excellent experience with Rooter-man plumbing and who must be their best guy, Eddie!!At a residental rental property the previous tenant left us with some serious plumbing problems. I've had 4 other plumbers out, and none of them were able to clear the drain. Those other guys, the Roto-Rooter ones, came out and actually broke a tool off in my drain, charged me full price without clearing the drain, and didn't even tell me about the surprise they left in my pipe!!! They truly only worsened the problem. Instead of telling us they broke off their snake tool in my drain, they had the audacity to suggest we needed to tunnel under the house to repair the pipe, with a absurdly expensive quote...Then we finally wised up and called Rooter-Man.Eddie came out and quickly discovered we had an unusual problem. (It turns out someone had put golf-ball sized rocks down our drain!) He was not only able to dentify the issue, but he was able to extract the other guy's broken tool, clear the rocks, and completely resolve our issue, all in a 1hr service call.This guy is a true plumbing hero!Thank you Eddie, the super Rooter-Man!! Someone please give this guy a bonus and ahold star.I heartily recommend then.

Curtis came out on the weekend / Sunday when we have a major clog on our home toilet / sewer line that we wear not able to fix with plunger etc…he spent a lot of time going through it with the snake line and camera until he finally found the clog…he was able to get it fix and get us back in use for house needs…much appreciated!!!! My hot water in my house started getting cooler and cooler and I realized my water heater was not performing. I call in and spoke with Misty and she was excellent. She was able to get ahold of Nick Moore, their plumber, and I from phone call to completion it was only 3 or 4 hours. I’m severely impressed at how fast they got Nick out to my house and how quickly Nick performed the necessary repair to get me hot water again. Overall, an amazing group and Nick was excellent. We had Allen out again, he worked diligently to clean my wife's shower pipe and sink pipe, fixed the detached stopper, and cleaned our kitchen sink pipe in the add-on building.Obviously it was more expensive, but like the last service, this was well worth it on pipes that probably haven't been serviced since they were installed decades ago. There is a reason why Rooter-Man is highly rated, they DO THE JOB RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. Highly recommend, still 5 stars.July 2021Allen came out exactly on time. We have a 54-year-old house that has the original cast iron drain and the washroom. For years we've been unable to use the washroom due to the pipe not draining.Also our kitchen sink drained poorly because there was a vacuum created by the clogged pipe in the washroom. Allen used the camera and a snake and determined that there were two large clogs he got rid of those in about 45 minutes and also fixed an exterior faucet. Everything seems to work great now and we are extremely pleased with this company.The best part is it was only $147 to fix everything. We highly recommend using this company.

We are related homeowners and apparently there was an issue of extreme grease build-up in the pipe which led to backups and clogging in kitchen sink. The tech was very knowledgeable and was able to hydrojet our pipes taking care of the problem. We had 3 other plumbers come out before and the last 1 recommend Rooterman! There are two reasons I gave a 1 star rating. One, I needed a same day appointment for a emergency kind of situation and they provided that and two, there is no option to give zero star.I generally don't write reviews unless the experience is extremes either side. I seriously doubt how there are so many 5 star reviews for this company. From the time of arrival of the technician nothing seemed correct. In this age of access to information it is funny how they assume that the customer has no absolute knowledge of whatever nonsense they are selling. I hired them to triage a leak and agreed to pay a premium price for it on hourly basis. Absolutely no tools, mundane or sophisticated were used, but just walking around the property visually seeing few things and came up with a weird theory defying any laws of physics about water traveling from one end to the other and challenging me to prove him wrong. Me and another contractor working on my property were struggling to understand what the technician is talking, not because we didn't understand but because it is so rubbish. It was by trace of luck or accident we found the leak. Once the leak is found he was quick to claim it that he found. How childish, I felt. Couldn't help but smirk.All this while there is a constant sales pitch one after the other. Finally when it came to fixing the leak, the plumber with a big truck do not have very basic valves or supply line. Fine, sometimes it happens. But takes about 2 hours to get them from nearby hardware store. Charged me about 300 bucks for a simple simple believe me, simple fix. Then claims to give me a discount.For anyone who made effort to read this, my simple advice, stay away. I highly recommend Nick and Rooterman plumbing. He offered three options to resolve a water pressure issue. He installed a new pressure regulating valve on the main water line, replaced two shutoff valves (main shutoff, sprinkler shutoff), and added an expansion tank to the tankless water heater. He stayed onsite the entire time while a coworker picked up materials and ensured that everything was working properly and there were no leaks.

After analysis of the issue, Nick provided a quote for approval explaining what needs to be done. The price was fair. After the approval of the quote, he did a fantastic job. He has gone above-and-beyond expectations cleaning the place after the repair was completed, which was a bonus. If I need any plumbing work in the future, I would definitely call Rooterman Plumbing of Austin and request if Nick can perform the repair.

I had been dealing with other plumbing companies prior to having Collen from Rooter-Man come out this morning and the difference was night and day! I knew I needed hydro-jetting and Collen showed up within an hour of my initial call. He was professional and honest. Didn't try and tell me how bad my situation was to drive the price up like others had done. He worked hard, was pleasant and really cared about doing the best job possible - Wow! Highly recommend!

Initially the repairman examined what needed to be fixed and said it would cost about $170. After he started to do the repair he stated that he would need to solder an additional pipe into the wall underneath the bathroom sink and the service would then cost $460. Well then he realized he needed more parts and had to go to purchase them at a nearby shop. After about two hours he was done. I also asked if he could put in a new drain ( a 5 minute job) and he initially declined because he had a bunch of jobs booked he had to go to. Well then he came back and said yes he could do it for an additional $150. This is why many people are hesitant to call a plumber. Will not be using this company again for the remaining renovations we are planning to do.

We contacted Rooter Man Plumbing when we realized that we had a burst pipe, and our regular plumber was not available. Collen was able to come out within 1 hour of our call and fix our plumbing emergency. He was pleasant and professional, and we were satisfied with his work. I would use them again.

We had a sewer line clog. Another rooter company came out and could not break up the clog or locate the cleanout valve. They said we would have to install a new cleanout valve and/or dig through the garage floor because it was likely that the pipe was broken. The proposed solution would cost $8,000+.Scheduling with Rooterman was a breeze and very professional. Mike came out the same day, had a longer cable that could reach the clog and break through. With a camera, they identified it was a grease clog and that there was nothing wrong with the pipe. Mike documented the problem well, adding a photo of the location of the buried cleanout valve, and saved the day.There was a $79 visit fee, but that's applied towards any other service needed.Would call Rooterman or recommend them again.

No one wants to hear these dreaded words....you need to have excavation done under your house to replace the sewer line. I knew it was coming but still didn't want to hear it but it was easy working with Rooter-Man to get the job done. They were patient and answered all of my questions. Called Rooter-Man plumbing since I broke my outdoor hose bib. Dustin came out and looked at my issue and gave me an estimate. I went ahead with the repair work and Dustin fixed the issue quickly.

I was having an issue with extremely low water pressure. As everyone does, I went to Google. Rooterman was at the top of the list. Since I am a veteran and Rooterman is veteran owned, I gave them a call. I'm glad I did. Not only did Dustin diagnose and fix the problem, it was done within three hours of my call! I needed a new pressure reducing valve and Rooterman did the job for much less than some of my neighbors. If I could give them ten stars, I would.

Did Rooter Man do a good job? Yes, they did the job requested, which was to install 5 toilets at our business that had been removed in the course of new flooring installation.Did they price the service fairly? No. We are in the process of getting new floors installed. Our flooring company removed 5 toilets. We asked Rooter Man to install the 5 removed toilets after the flooring company was done. It was planned and not emergency service. For 2.5 hours of service and 5 new wax rings with new bolts they charged $854.91. At Home Depot, you can get 5 new wax rings with bolts for $8 each for a total of $40. So, if you subtract $40 from $854.91, you get $814.91. $814.91 divided by 2.5 hours equals $325.96 per hour. My attorney charges a little bit more than $325.96 per hour. In my opinion, the plumber should not be charging a labor rate on par with my attorney. Therefore, Rooter Man is drastically overpriced.The sad thing is that we told Rooter Man that we have 11 toilets at our business and that we would very likely use their services many times in the future since many of our students have a tendency to flush foreign objects down the toilet. Unfortunately for Rooter Man, we will be directing our business elsewhere in the future and we will encourage many of our fellow business owners to do the same.

Rooterman was awesome dispatching someone to me the day of, within the hour. I was impressed. Curtis was an awesome plumber as well, he replaced my water main valve and answered all of my inquisitive questions. I feel like I learned a lot and the stress of my faulty main shut off valve is gone. I would recommend them if anyone asks in the future.

I have used Rooter-Man a number of times in the past. This time I just needed the fill valve replaced. I know that the flapper is replaced at this time too. I provided one, thinking it might save me a couple of bucks. Landon used one he had brought with him, which is fine. However, I would have appreciated getting the flapper I had brought down back since it was not used. Not a major deal. A little more communication would have made me totally happy with the service. Didn't use the flapper, you want it back?UPDATE: I got a call from Brittany regarding my review. Landon dropped off a flapper yesterday, same day. I’ll never use another company! Collen with Rooter Man was professional, knowledgeable, calming and didn’t try to price gouge us or prey on our fears. He put us at ease immediately and was super efficient. I’m really impressed with this company. This is the second time we’ve used router man and both times they have outshined the competition! David came on time both times and was honest in his appraisal of our leak problem and how they would fix it. They worked hard to remove the tree roots encircling our water meter and line to our house and irrigation system, then replaced the line and installed a new pressure regulator. They tested it all out afterwards and so far, it all seems good. It was a pleasure to work with everyone associated with this company.

Called them up when our toilet was malfunctioning and they were prompt and responsive. We had to get a new toilet but Curtis installed it well and was very communicative about the problems and solutions. 6 months later the new toilet acted up again. Curtis came out and took a look, and though he was unable to diagnose it officially (it was likely a partial clog in the pipes that resolved itself) he patiently went through all the possible problems with us and did his best to thoroughly check the system. He also did not charge us, which I greatly appreciated, and which shows that Rooter-Man takes their work seriously and is careful about ensuring good quality. They did this even though the warranty on their work was 30 days, and I thought that was generous I!

The repairmen were very courteous and a good job clearing the drain.
The cost was very high compared to other companies. Their video unit wasn’t working so all was done was run the drain snake and reconnect the plastic trap plumbing. The cost was $324.00 for about 1+ hours labor.

The pilot light on my water heater went out and I was unable to re-light it. I was so thankful that Collen came to my rescue immediately. He was meticulous in diagnosing the problem and patiently explained each step. It turned out my water heater was affected by Rheem gas valve recall. Collen was able to obtain a replacement quickly and get things back up and running. This is my second time working with Rooter Man and I really appreciate their quickly availability and professionalism. It’s a huge relief to go from discovering a plumbing catastrophe to having it resolved within hours!

We've used Rooter Man repeatedly for issues with our older home and for hooking up the plumbing when we replaced our kitchen. Twice we've tried other services. Twice we've had to have Rooter Man come fix other services' disasters.Today was a simple clogged bathroom sink I couldn't handle on my own due to the clog being too far along the line. Curtis came to my home and he was very courteous. He left everything tidy. He was due to be here at 1 and he called at 1245 to let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time and completed the repair--I had also messed up my p-trap trying to fix the clog myself--efficiently. It took him less than half an hour to fix it. He showed me what he had done. He was careful to check the billing code on their new paperless billing system to ensure he chose the right kind of drain declog, and explained that to me and what to watch for because the billing line is very similar to another, more expensive task.I love the transparency, efficiency, courtesy and quality of all things Rooter Man.

These people have done 2 jobs for me prior. I wrote positive reviews then and expected to do the same today. Issue:water heater pilot out; orange flame. (note: they did the install of 2 water heaters 15 mos ago.) Their apprentice, nice young man, advised me Rheem water heaters were causing problems with defective gas control valves. Curiously my 2 wh's had the 'good' gcv's and so 'this is a first.' Imagine that. Problem: After about an hour of assessment he spoke with his boss and then quoted me over $500 to replace the anomalous bad valve, $150 of which was for the drive to wherever these people store their material and about $350 for the hour it was going to take to do the job. It should be noted the original job, for 2 water heaters, was $1500. Today I was faced with a price 1/3 of the original cost for a part under warranty. Worse, the 'new' part was NOT going to have a new warranty; it was going to piggyback off the old warranty for the defective part. Service manager Jason offered no sensible explanation other than deferring to the limitations placed on them by their manufacturer. Advice: Get another manufacturer because customers should not be expected to pay exhorbitant 'labor' costs for defective parts. Lastly, no one should have to pay for your drive time. If this has been a problem with Rheem, and you knew the problem because I called a couple of days ago, then the driver should have arrived with parts already. I have already gone to one of the numerous competitors in this city.$79 today chalked up to lesson learned.

My toilet stopped working at midnight Friday night. I called Rooterman at eight in the morning and they told me that they could have someone come out between eight and ten. A little after ten, the technician, Curtis arrived. After looking at the toilet, he told me why it wouldn't work, and what it would cost to repair it. He finished the job quickly and now I have a functioning toilet again. Curtis was very professional and personable, and he did a good job. I also thought the price was very reasonable and Idefinitely will use Rooterman again if I have plumbing problems.

After twenty years, the garbage disposal and faucet bit the dust. Rooter-Man was quick at getting us an appointment and Jason was courteous and thorough with the installation. I called Rooter.Man early on a Sunday morning because the alarm on my grinder pump was going off! ?…the technician named Collen called promptly back and we made arrangements to meet later in the morning. He came out on time. He could not have been more courteous, professional or knowledgeable. He quickly discovered that a gecko had blown himself up inside the control box causing it to trip and therefore triggering the alarm! He quickly removed the gecko pieces ?…reset the controls, checked to make sure the pump was working and all is well now. I will be calling this company for every plumbing need I have! So so pleased!

Great job! Excellent response time & fast/friendly service from Curtis of Rooter-Man Plumbing. We had some leaking fixtures, one of them a cheap PVC shutoff valve supplying water to the house. It was hard to turn, leaking and threatened to leave our household waterless. Curtis fixed that with a quality brass valve that is to turn and that solved the problem as well as a couple of other issues. We have some upcoming bathroom remodeling and we'll be calling Curtis and Rooter-Man to handle the plumbing part of it. Yes, we are happy and heartily recommend them! 02/26/2020

I read some of the great reviews about this company before deciding to give them a call. I have an ongoing issue with my kitchen sink getting clogged every 2 or 3 months. Having a plumber come use an auger to snake the pipes and clear the clog at $200 a pop has become an expense that I would rather not have. I called Rooter Man and told them what was going on. They sent Curtis out within the hour. After evaluating the situation he found that there are a couple of breaks in the waste line under the foundation, a problem that should have been discovered by the other plumbers a year ago when the clogs started becoming a frequent occurrence. Curtis was great! He showed me everything he was doing step by step and made sure I knew what was going on. He waived the fee for using his camera to find the breaks in the line. All in all he made sure that my sink was working again and now that I know what the underlying issue is, I can pass the info on to my land lord so that he can have it repaired. I would recommend Rooter-Man to all my friends and family.

I was so impressed with Colleen’s professionalism, knowledge, expertise, and positive attitude. So glad to be able to have such a quick response to my plumbing emergency; literally arrives within 20 minutes of me placing the call. It was a difficult leak repair, but done to the upmost best quality of work.

Curtis came to my house and vetted several potential causes of my problem, while walking me through all of the options he was checking. Mr. Collen Mcbride did excellent job! Our faucets were blocked with sand after the storm. Although we paid another person for blowing out the sand, the work was not done properly. So the faucets were clogged and leaking.Collen identified the problems and fixed them very quickly. Curtis was right on time and very professional. We had low water pressure so he had to dig up the valve where the city water connects to our row house water. Jason went above and beyond to repair my toilet/ drain problem. He was prompt on his arrival and arrived exactly when the company said he would. His estimate was very reasonable, even so. He removed the toilet and reset with a new wax ring, there was still a problem with the toilet backing up as it wasn't just leaking from the wax ring, but also jammed/plugged up. So he had to remove the toilet a second time, fight to figure out the blockage which he was successful with. So with the job taking twice as long as expected, there was no extra charge or change in the original estimate. As a second bonus I asked him if he could change the cartridge in the kitchen faucet. I had purchased one but hadn't had time to install. I fully expected and even mentioned him adding a charge for this. He replaced the cartridge and said don't worry about this, no extra charge In the plumbing industry, these actions are very hard to come by. I will definitely call them again and even request Jason.

Very professional and heroic effort by Curtis. Our 3 year old water heater shockingly had a small puncture in the copper pipe coming out of the bottom of the water tank, which he easily fixed, but when working on our other heater tank, a gasket just broke off (although only 3 years old) and he had to keep all the pressure of 50 gallons of hot water in with his bare thumbs while I scrambled to turn off the water. He did an amazing job doing all he could to minimize water coming out and damage to our home. Professional throughout and pricing was very fair.

I called Rooter Man on a Friday when suddenly I was having a number of different plumbing issues in my house. Of course this occurs right before I’m about to have a house full of guests. They were able to get someone out within an hour with no additional rush charges incurred. They were able to address and fix my problems, and were very courteous in their service delivery. I appreciated them taking the time to explain what they were doing and what needed to be fixed, how it would be fixed and the costs associated with it. If I have an issue again in the future I will definitely call Rooter Man.

I was extremely pleased with my entire experience with Rooter-Man plumbing. Our electric hybrid water heater unexpectedly shut off, leaving us without any hot water. After calling 2 plumbers which were recommended to me and not getting any response in over 24 hours, I called Rooter-Man and was almost immediately connected with a scheduling agent (who also works in the field).I explained my issue and after gathering the information she required, she checked their schedule and said they should be able to work me into that day’s schedule - within an hour or two. Fifteen minutes later I received a text from one of their technicians - Eddie - saying he would arrive in 15min (I had requested to be noticed 15min ahead of time so that I could drive home from work) .Eddie arrived on schedule, and without me even asking, put on booties to cover his shoes before coming inside. He quickly diagnosed the problem - expecting it to be a faulty circuit display board on the water heater. He called Rheem support and told them what he had diagnosed, and they confirmed we needed a new circuit board, which they agreed to ship overnight.I called Rooter-man again the next day after receiving the circuit board, and Eddie returned that afternoon to install it with his assistant Allan. After confirming it fixed the problem, he made it a point to let me know if I had any issues or concerns to contact them. The friendliness and open and honest demeanor of both Eddie and Allan made the whole experience even better. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who has a plumbing issue (especially an urgent one) and will no doubt call on them first the next time I need a plumber.

Don't use them!!! This why I don't post reviews too soon. It was the worst customer experience of my entire life. Management (Grant the office manager) is absolutely horrid and not professional at all! We hired licensed bonded Rooter-Man Plumbing, instead of hiring any Joe Smoe of street and they made so many mistakes!! Here's the long story of how this nightmare occurred. We had my elderly mothers home repiped with pex, no copper lines are left on the property. During this time the plumbers left several leaks (hose bib leaking, running toilet, leaks that were underneath).After fixing these leaks another Issue occurred after my elderly mom received a Very High bill from the City of Austin $220 more than previous months! Grant ( the supervisor & manager ) was (No Help) with any problems experienced after Rooter-Man repiped the house. He wanted to check for leaks so he arrived at the house unannounced 2 hours before our scheduled time (no face mask). If I hadn't called the city of Austin right then and there he was ready to leave after 5 mins, even though I had to leave work early to meet him.Rooter-Man Plumbing including (Grant) will take no responsibility! Even though the leaks occurred only during the month we had repiped the entire house. I emailed him 2 previous months bills showing normal usage and included all of the correspondence from 2nd level City of Austin investigation showing that there was no leaks on their end or the property side of the meter. (Leaks occurred from their work). Sadly they are taking advantage of an elderly woman who's on a fixed income.

Kitchen drain would regularly clog & typical plumbers would auger it blindly and not very deeply. Rooter Man used a Boroscope to actually see what he was doing inside the pipe and methodically removed all the gunk from the kitchen sink all the way to the end of my property, where the city pipe begins. He took 3 hours to do this thorough cleaning. Other plumbers would spend an hour. And the price was just as low.

I called on a Saturday morning with an urgent issue. The after-hours receptionist took down my information and I received a call from the plumber, Colin, within a few minutes. He then arrived within an hour and resolved the issue, clearly explained what else needed to be done, and was very friendly as well.

Great customer service from setting appointment to the plumber Curtis seem to be very knowledgeable and went to work quickly. He showed me the new flange and how he had anchored it with cement screws. Only negative was the price seemed to be on high side.

He was able to find the problem when other septic company did not even try. He was very quick and responsive. He also cleaned all the pipes under the slab of my house. I noticed my water leaking from the manhole cover. I called Rooter-Man Plumbing as they had high marks on Nextdoor. Curtis came out to inspect and told me my PRV (I think that’s the name) valve was faulty. I was at work and therefore, had to rely on what he told me over the phone. Curtis did everything he could to keep the cost down, which is such a big blessing to me! He is an honest plumber, which is so rare these days. I appreciate Curtis and Rooter-Man Plumbing very much.

I know nothing about plumbing and am very cautious/paranoid about being taken advantage of. My first impression of Eddie was confident and likable but I was still cautious. My caution increased when my problem became more involved. My lower shower pressure was not due a bad cartridge (the easier fix) but more likely involved a bad shower value. Adding more complication was that this couldn't be repaired from the back side due to interfering duct work. My tile had to be cut in the shower. I was warned about possible damage that might require someone skilled in tilt repair. My caution grew. Called another 4.5 star company with a quote for the same job that was >450 bucks more. In addition I didn't have the same level of confidence in the technician.Eddie came out the following day and did the repair. No issues with tile cut and all is well. If I have another issue again and will be calling Rooter- man and will probably ask for Eddie

Problem is water is leaking when I take a shower on my 2nd floor bathtub, down to ceiling of the 1st floor garage underneath it. Plumber came and charge for 335/hr for leak detection/diagnosis. Initially he had to cut through drywall on 1st floor garage ceiling, but could not find leak. Then took out drywall on 2nd floor bedroom to access shower assembly. Plumber showed me leak happens when tub spout divert water to shower, and leak is running to back of tub spout and behind shower wall and down to 1st floor. Give me quote of 850 to fix it, which I accepted. After an hour and he showed me the work. He replaced copper pipe with plastic pipe starting from behind shower head and 3 feet down. But the tub spout did not get replaced. He only put a spoonful of caulk at back of tub spout, so the water leak is redirected to tub.Technically speaking the water leak is not going behind the shower wall and down to 1st floor. But I paid $500 dollars for unnecessarily replacing the shower pipe, and actual problem is still unresolved. Now have to find another plumber to replace tub spout. And find a different contractor to fix drywall.

Eddie Pollack showed up at my daughters home at 10:05 am this morning. He was to check dampness around the baseboard behind a sink in the entryway. He inserted a snake in a few drain locations, which were clear and flowing. He turned the sink water on and says he would need to cut a 12 x 12 inch square of Sheetrock to examine inside the wall. He says if we do the repair, the $79 fee to come out and the cut wall fee of $50-$100 would be waived. He opened it and saw lots of water laying inside. He says the pipe had separated by about an inch. Not much of the water actually flowed out from the opening, but he got us all so worried and said a water restoration tech would be needed and the water will cause other issues. He said he would make a call and let us know the cost for the pipe replacement project. He told us $1,199.00 and he could get his manager to assist and the tech from Dry Source would come out to make contact with our home owners insurance, etc. We never signed anything, but we decided to give the go ahead to proceed. The owner showed up within an hour, in the meanwhile, Eddie cut more Sheetrock for access and took a bit of the insulation out. The owner was not friendly and ignored a few questions we asked. He assisted Eddie with pipe placement( a 1 1/2 ft pipe and 2 1/2 ft pipe and a fitting) and afterwards left out the door without saying goodbye. We never disagreed or complained, so I’m unsure why he was so disrespectful. I feel my daughter was Very Over Charged!

Curtis installed a new toilet for me yesterday. He was great, arrived on time, identified a big problem in the toilet plumbing and clear it up before the install. He finished the job (do it right) and cleaned up the work area before he leave.

We had issue with drain in our kitchen sink. We tried what we could after watching youtube videos and reading blogs. Nothing really helped. So we decided to call a plumber and after seeing reviews in neighborhood, we called RooterMan this morning. They were very prompt in scheduling an appointment. Curtis came and inspected everything and got to work. He was very professional and very helpful also gave some suggestions. He made sure everything worked perfectly before he left. Would highly recommend Curtis and RooterMan.

Called to have my PRV (Pressure Relief Valve) replaced because it needed to be replaced because it was not working properly and my water pressure was to high. I called Rooter-Man for service the operator would not give an estimate for the repair; I called 8 other competitors and all were able to give me an estimate from $300-$750. The operator advised me that there would be a $79.00 charge if I did not accept the repair. My question is how can you accept or reject a service if you don't know what your'e paying for. The technician arrived the valve was easily accessible because it was exposed in a utility box. The technician punched a few buttons on his tablet and said the price would be $650.00 with a discount. I told him two company's told me $400.00 and one told me $300.00 because no digging was needed. The technician told me the operator should have gave me a price range, she didn't I refused to be overcharged for a repair that other companies would do for half the price. The technician was there for about 5 minutes and told me I would have to pay a $79.00 service fee, I paid the fee but would like others to know those who say the pricing is good with this company: must not have checked competitors pricing, Roto-Man pricing is twice as high as many other companies. I got the repair done for $300.00 with the same parts Roto-Man was using (Brass Pressure Relief Valve and schedule 80 fittings).Rates are much higher with this company. My advice would be to use a company that is not over charging customers check around you could save yourself a lot of money.

Dennis came out on a Sunday, in the snow, along with his supervisor, to install a water heater on the coldest day of the year. He was professional and responsive to say the least. I would highly recommend Rooter-Man to anyone needing service.

I had a blockage in my line that caused my washer drain to back up almost every time I washed. Curtis Kurka came out today and cleared the blockage very quickly. He tested his work by having me fill and drain a full tub of water from my washer. It all drained beautifully! Curtis was courteous, pleasant, explained what he was going to do, and even replaced the old cover on my cast iron clean-out as a courtesy. I have used Rooter-Man since 2014 and will continue to do so (but hopefully not for a long time)!

So I work out of town for two weeks at a time and I was gearing up for my next hitch when I received a rather exorbitant gas bill. We had previously called Ferrell Gas to come out and investigate for a leak due to the smell of natural gas permeating our back patio area. They came out and tested for leaks to no avail, not once but twice in a one month span. They informed me that my leak may possibly be within the walls of the home and that it was not their territory. Their suggestion was to contact a plumber to come out and conduct yet another leak test.Thus came my main man Curtis. I contacted Rooterman and they sent out Curtis the next day. Curtis was kind and informative. I am an engineer by profession so I was very curious as to how we were going to detect a leak. Curtis allowed me to join him throughout the process and taught me about the natural gas distribution system in my home. We isolated several valves and finally found that the valve at the service loop leading to the stove had a small leak. Ferrell gas had missed this twice. On top of that the stove that we had was also leaking on the rear burner. While the system was pressured with air we found that the burner would actually ignite when a flame was presented due to residual gas being pushed out by the air.Once we found the leak Curtis had another appointment he had to make so he went to fulfill his obligation and returned at a later time to complete the work on the leaking gas line. Once the line was repaired I ordered a replacement stove but the smell of gas still lingered outside. I turned on the furnace investigate and Curtis showed me how there was black ash on the burner area and also that there was too much smoke being released from the flue on the roof. He recommended I contact the company that had just recently installed the unit as it may have been set up for natural gas rather than propane. The difference in orifice size could cause the fuel source to burn inefficiently. This actually posed a danger to my family and I.I contacted the company and had them send out a tech thanks to a helpful tip from Curtis. When the tech arrived and opened up the unit he said he had never seen anything like that in all his years of working in the industry. He condemned the unit and called his supervisor. The company did what was necessary and replaced the unit rather than just washing the damaged coils.Once I received my stove I even had Curtis come back and perform the conversion from natural gas to propane with the kit provided by the Home Depot. I was not at home for this, but from my wife's testimony, Curtis once again did an amazing job.Rooterman, I have worked in customer service for many years prior to my current career and I have never come across a gentleman like Curtis. Because of this man you have earned yourself another customer as long as we are in Austin. Give that man, Curtis, a raise!BTW this review is long overdue and I apologize for that. This work was done back at the beginning of the year. The recognition is well deserved as there was a lot learned through this experience thanks to someone who was willing to explain and teach. Had a disaster under my sink while cleaning up after diner, dirty water & food particles EVERYWHERE! Called Rooter-Man Plumbing the next morning and was able to get someone out to me between 1-3. At 12:30 I get a text that Jason was on his way! By 12:45, Jason was standing in my kitchen surveying the scene. The job was completed rather quickly with a detailed explanation of what happened and what he did. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We had a hot water leak in our foundation slab. Curtis identified the problem, isolated the broken section of pipe, and ran a new PEX pipe through the ceiling to bypass the leak. At the same time, we took the opportunity to replace our ~15-y-o water heater with a new unit and bring everything up to current code. Curtis was great, and came back the next day to clear our our kitchen faucet which had become clogged with some debris that had been dislodged from the old system.

Finally decided to fix the plumbing at my condo. Had a tub that drained slow and two toilets that needed the tank bolts replaced due to rust that kept coming out everytime I flushed. I searched yelp and called up some plumbers, but most of them were very busy. Finally Rooterman picked up the phone and a receptionist answered.I got a quote to clear the drain, but the plumber would have to see the toilets in person to give me a quote for the rusted tank bolt replacement. Surprisingly they had someone available the next day and I made the appointment.Curtis gave me a call before heading there and showed up when he said he would. He checked out the tub and toilets. The quotes were expensive but reasonable.The shower tub drain turned out to be slow draining so there was no need to clear it. I had used a plastic drain cleaning strip before and put a hairstopper on it so it was fine. As for the tank bolts, Curtis got them out and replaced both of them. Took about 2 hours.I wish I could say everything was well after that, but the hose connecting to the tank was leaking after he left. I texted him and he said he would come back the next day and look at it. The following day he tightened the hose, but it was still leaking. He then came back for a third trip and replaced the hose and other part. Not sure what was wrong, but it was observed that one of the rubber washers had hardened and could have been causing the leak after it was disturbed. After that, the toilet didn't leak. Third time was the charm.Overall, I had a good experience wth rooterman and I would definitely hire them again if I have any plumbing issues. Curtis was amazing!

Just like many other reviewers, I found my go-to plumber!We had a broken underground pipe connecting to a sewage pump. I asked three companies to give me a quote. The previous two just took a one minute look and asked for ridiculously high price. David is the only plumber correctly identified what caused the problem and offered me the best price. He brought an another crew with him the next day and fixed the pipe beautifully, he also offers a one-year warranty on the repair.Very satisfied experience, highly recommended!.

We had a major league sewer problem with sewage backing up into our downstairs bathroom. We called our normal plumbing service, we had to wait 2 days for them to get us scheduled, and they were not able to fix the problem. Then we called Rooter Man. They were there with a couple of hours, fixed the immediate problem of clearing the blockage and then showed us the bigger problem via camera. The full fix required replacing damaged sewer pipes. That was late Friday afternoon , they had an estimate to us by Monday AM, and they began work early Tuesday. They had the whole thing fixed in around a half day even though the problem was worse than they originally thought and required them to go to the store to buy additional material. Dave and Eddie did a great job - they really know their stuff, and the work was done in much less time than we expected. I highly recommend Rooterman

Made an appointment to for an estimate to determine the cause of a leak for a water softener. I am a new customer, the reviews looked great. Called, scheduled, No mention of a $80.00 estimate fee during the phone conversation. Service was interested in selling a new system which I understand but there was no mention of the fact that the valve which was the cause of the leak could be replaced. Their primary Interest is selling a new System. After a 5 minute conversation the service person then asked for the $80.00 and stated that it could be credited towards the $1500 price of a new system. Called to discuss the fee that was not mentioned and the customer service representative stated that the fee is usually not mentioned. I was shocked because the day earlier Excalibur Plumbing provided an estimate at no cost.

They charge me $239 for clearing some debris in the septic system. It didn't fix the problem and they reimburse me. If you are looking for help with septic tanks they deal with small issues and pumping the septic tank system.

I found myself in a quandary recently. Our water pressure had been fluctuating for a few days and we thought maybe our water was being rationed during prime use hours. Was family and veteran owned and operated.Being the frugals we waited until Monday to call. The call was picked up by the 4 th ring and Catherine had me describe our plumbing problem. She reviewed their schedule and offered an appointment Tuesday afternoon between 2-4pm. She advised that whomever was assigned would text me when they headed our way. She then advised the fee for the service call was $79, but said if we opted to have them repair the problem tomorrow that fee would be waived.I appreciated her being forthright with their processes. She was very professional and had a smile in her voice.The next day I missed a call from Catherine and when I called her back she advised they had a cancellation and could arrive between 12-2p if we wanted to take the earlier appointment. That was fine with us. She reviewed their process of having the plumber text us when on their way.Before too long I received a text from Byron with his picture- a great way of identifying who would be coming. There was also a phone number given should we have any questions.A text also came when he arrived at our home. Byron introduced himself. We described our issues with the lack of water.After listening he began removing the kitchen sink faucet head. I was telling him that in my restroom something resembling sand was coming out of one of the sink faucets. He asked us about our water heater and if we had a traditional style water softener. When we said we did he diagnosed the problem immediately. Evidently the softener had broken and was spilling tiny silicone grains out into our water pipes. He then began to run the water and sure enough out they came. He explained it was best to use the larger faucets to discharge the contaminated water. He opened the faucets in both tubs... wooo -E there was a lot of that stuff from inside the water softener. He told us that since we had a Moen Faucet at the kitchen sink - they had such faith in their product they would likely send us a new head free-no shipping-no nothing...what a great tip!! He said to simply email them. I told him I was concerned about the fridge too so he told us what to do about that to avoid using any tainted ice or water.He offered to replace the toilet tank innards or saud that we could do it as well to make sure they continued to function. He then tidied up the areas he had made repairs to. He was able to give us the invoice- we paid the amount due. After thanking us for choosing Rooter Man he said goodbye- and to call if any further problems developed.Byron was professional, and offered us some great tips. He was neat and clean. He was respectful of us as his customers.Should you need help with your plumbing we highly recommend Rooter Man Plumbing.PS-we thought the pricing was fair!

Called for a emergency yesterday as my toilet was flooding my downstairs and could not be told no one was available for emergency until I gave all my information......shouldn't you tell me if someone can come first? Have my info to just be told no one available
