Best System Maintenance in Phoenix AZ

Adam came to our house and did a fantastic job fixing our AC. He got the job done quickly and effectively. We really appreciated his work. Awesome job!

Hays heating and cooling installed a new HVAC unit in my home. After the year check up, the engine was faulty and they did not hesitate to replace it without question. Frank, the technician, was extremely professional and courteous and did a great job. Highly recommend them.

I was originally feeling satisfied with the service we received. The work that was done seems as though it was done correctly. HOWEVER. Because the small problem that we thought we had turned into a MUCH bigger issue, we trusted Penguin to continue and fix the larger problem. We are now learning that their prices are MUCH higher than competitors. As in, potentially thousands of dollars less than we have already paid. We could not find a single plumbing company that was even close in their estimate to what we have already paid out of pocket (the most was still 3x less than Penguin). Not to mention our insurance reached out to us specifically to discuss the shockingly high charges for these services and were fearful we had been taken advantage of. Don't trust your technicians when they assure you Insurance will cover a good portion of the bill due to it being classified as Category 3 water. That is what Landon told us when he saw that we were shocked and hesistant at the estimate. We were even told that we had great Insurance so we shouldn't worry at all. That may be true when the plumbing bill is justified, but we may never know that since we chose to go through Penguin. Take a look at their BBB rating and make sure to call around. At no time were we encouraged to take time to think about this large project, instead there was only urgency as they called Copperstate Home Builders to come do mitigation. Nothing like shared profits. Lots of money to be made off those of us who may not know the going rate for plumbing services in the area. Let our mistake help you avoid your own and do a lot of research. We sure wish we had. Especially considering our contract states that Penguin would install both toilets and that The job is complete. We only had one toilet installed before they left and didn't return. Even Gene with Copperstate indicated on Thursday August 25th that Penguin should be out to install the other toilet.Edited to add information on 9/15. Still no contact from Penguin, even though I submitted a Contact Us form. Tomorrow has been a week since I sent it. I'm sure they will say I need to call, but when my trust level is this low I want EVERYTHING in writing. Our job is still not complete and we have not had contact with them since August 25th when we were emailed our contract, which again states The job is complete. Today we find out they charged an additional $3500 without our knowledge or consent, when the agreement was that Landon would come back out on Monday 8/29 to receive the last of the payments. His words exactly were My boss will be cool as long as we get that payment in a couple of days So we indicated Monday 8/29 would be a good day for them to come finish the job and receive payment. We never signed a payment agreement and every other payment we made was in person and signed for. This company is slimy. $10,200 for something that surely should have cost us less than $5,000 for everything. They should be ashamed of themselves. We will be moving forward with our BBB claim, and a complaint with the Attorney General's office. Absolutely shameful business practices.Edit as of 9/19/22Another plumber came today because we are needing to begin our reconstruction. We asked him to take a look at the completed work in our hall bathroom (since Penguin never returned to install our toilet it is still open and able to be seen). Again, we got a punch to the gut when he said, Wow, I'm really sorry. I cannot think of any situation that a flange repair and replacement would cost that much. Good work comes with a price, but the price they charged you is outrageous and completely unbelievable in my 20 years of plumbing. So again, our suspicions of predatory practices and price gouging are confirmed. Still no contact from Penguin. The photo shows our $5,788 flange repair and $1100 worth of tile demo (8 square feet).

An outside faucet had a crack in the side. Robert came quickly, faster than I thought possible and made an immediate assessment and returned soon with a replacement faucet and quickly soldered the rupture. He was friendly, professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend to anyone who needs emergency assistance. Thanks again!

Feared the worse, but hoped for the best and found it!!! We had an issue with draining from our bathrooms tub and shower, and dreaded the thought of what a 50 yo house might throw at us. Found Sav-On, and couldn't have asked for better! Our tech Jesse was extremely kind, and didn't have any issue explaining what he was doing. Up front pricing, and definite professionalism...would have no problem ever recommending them for any plumbing issues.

I've had Ian F out the last couple years & he's been great. Dealing with the pigeon netting & taking good care of my A/C unit.
Today Scott K was out , no netting to deal with, just had the roof redone.
Scott was very nice, on time , serviced the a/c & replaced a contactor.
Overall, I'm happy & feel good with Hobaica's service.

I had to switch from brand X.

Well, now I'm not sure, while dealing with a pigeon problem, just had that tech come to check the nets. The net have been ripped, broken, & pigeons were able to get back in.

Dealt with their technician Brett Arriaga when our A/C went out. He was quick to get here and finish the job all the while providing friendly service as well as very helpful tips about our air flow filters. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing fast, efficient and friendly service!

This company and its employees were AWESOME from the get-go. Jeff, the sales rep, was extremely professional and spent a long time reviewing different options with us. He even put on booties when entering the house. He was clean and dressed with a company shirt. We were shopping for a new a/c, but did not plan on having it installed until cooler weather in the Fall. Jeff recommended minor things that would make our new a/c function to its full capacity.

Unfortunately, our a/c died a few weeks after our research. Desert Diamond was able to scheduled our new installation the following day. They are a 24/7 business.

The 3 installers encouraged our questions and covered everything in the utility room, where they had to access the attic. They totally cleaned up the yard, garage, and utility room. David, the lead installer, was patient in educating us with the new thermostat and answered all of our questions. After a long tiring very hot day, he was patient and in no hurry to get on the road until he was sure that we were content, satisfied, and had all of our questions answered.

We were extremely pleased with our installation crew: David, Russell, & Andrew. All 3 of the employees were respectful and hard workers.

Jeff will pay us a follow-up visit to check on our satisfaction and to inspect the job.

We decided to have them Aeroseal our ducts. It was completed quickly and easily. They covered everything in plastic and even vacuumed when finished. Doesn't get any better than that.

Our new a/c purrs like a kitten. We are even able to set the thermostat at a higher temp and be completely comfortable all the time. We can't even tell when it is on. It's the best.

Don't bother with the rest, go with the best - Desert Diamond Mechanical.

Excellent service. Excellent quality. Very detail oriented. From the first estimate, Jared Moore was very detailed, professional, and knowledgeable. He was honest and didn’t try to upsale me on stuff I didn’t need. He was thorough in explaining services and products offered. Branden, Marquise, Brody and Justin were the install crew. They were also detailed and thorough. They worked hard the whole time and they communicated as a team efficiently. They knew the product they were installing and communicated every step as they were working. Branden and Marquise were very kind, well spoken and personable. Branden and Jared even laughed at some of my terrible jokes. They reassured that the warranty will be take care of. All I have to do is enjoy my new HVAC systems. Whenever I had a question Tori answered and was super helpful and patient. What sold me on 1st choice was the attention detail. As well as the quality checks. After doing much research online I discovered that the install is the upmost important aspect in HVAC that will determine your units lifespan. Jared explained to me that every step MUST be documented with photos. From nitrogen purging to vacuum lines to soldering and everything in between. And at the end of a job they have to submit this documentation to their boss that will then have to review everything then sign off on the job. If the boss isn’t satisfied they have to fix it. This level a quality checks I have not seen in a very long time. This is rare and ultimately the very thing that sold me. Clearly there’s a level of concern for quality in the business. Not even the larger companies could reassure me the quality checks that 1st choice did. I supposed if the technicians do the job right the first time, there’s less of a chance of getting called back out to fix something. I hope I don’t have to call anybody out for quite a while. However, if I do need to I now have a go to HVAC contractor. 1st Choice Mechanical should be everybody’s first choice. I forgot to mention the hotel guarantee!!! If during the warranty period the equipment breaks and 1st choice is unable to fix it within 24 hours. You can go to any hotel if your choice and 1st choice will pay for it. I would rather not have to deal with items breaking however, that’s a very comforting guarantee should anything unexpected happen. Especially in the AZ heat!

Not only do these guys offer great products but they have exemplary service as well. I've called them several times for help with my Mitsubishi mini split ACs. All but one time they were able to help me out over the phone for free. They are kind, caring small business owners. I highly recommend them!

A man named Val came out and got our faulty A/C up and running within 10mins of arriving. We were worried we would have to sweat through the night before our problem would be fixed but this guy fixed it and had our house cooling back down in no time. We were surprised someone would come out so late too, we knew it was a stretch to get someone out soo quickly and late at night on a weekend but these guys pulled through. True customer service.
