Matt was incredibly helpful with getting our heating back up and working in a short amount of time. He also checked and notified me about other issues he noticed that we would should get fixed in the near future. This company did an amazing thing for myself and my family. Our AC went out about a week before we were to have our daughter's 1st birthday party at our home. With 50+ people planned to be there, we were in a huge rush to get this fixed. Through our Home Warranty, the first two companies couldn't come out to diagnose the issue for almost a week and I was lucky to get 1st Choice Mechanical as my 3rd contractor. Mike (owner/operator) called me within the hour (after normal work hours) and came the very next morning. He was able to diagnose the issue, which turned out that then entire unit was bad and danger for leak in the attic. He was able to show pictures of the evidence of these issues to prove he was not just trying to make a sale. Him and his son were able to get the entire outside and in the attic unit installed and working by the day before the party. It's usually an unsure feeling when dealing with AC companies, but Mike really made me feel comfortable with his honesty and work ethic. This company will remain my go-to for AC issues (and other mechanical issues as well) and I will recommend them to all family and friends! Thank you for allowing us to have a nice cool home in time for the party!!!

Not only do these guys offer great products but they have exemplary service as well. I've called them several times for help with my Mitsubishi mini split ACs. All but one time they were able to help me out over the phone for free. They are kind, caring small business owners. I highly recommend them!

Absolutely incredible company. Prompt, informative, and agile. They saw an issue that may arise later in installation, advised how to solve it, than did it. All while staying around the original estimate. Their crew was professional and personable and didn't stop until the job was complete. Commercial or Residential these folks will leave you jaded with how good a HVAC company can be.

I was impressed with both Justin and Fredrusso. Both with initial assessment and repair work. Had an older AC unit that had failed and needed replacement.

We requested an annual service on our five-year-old Trane XR14. The machine had been running fine and we thought a service might just improve its conditions. A guy named Juan came to our house on July 3. No major problem was found. He adjusted our controller from one-stage to two-stage, stating that it's more efficient. He also recommended refilling Freon. On July 6 he came again and refilled Freon. Afterwards AC was producing more noise, and it feels like it was up and running very hard. We didn't pay too much attention as the machine was still producing cool air. But on August 9 the machine just completely stopped producing cool air. We found the outside fan shutdown. We called BenefitAir the same day. Charles Watson, the service manager, came to our house on August 10. As it was over one month from the last service, we were told we have to pay the minimum service charge $84, with which we agreed before his coming. After inspection, he said we have two options, one is to replace the motor of fan and starter. It cost about $1200 but this doesn't guarantee AC would work. If there is leakage of Freon in AC compressor coils, the machine will soon broke. So second option is to replace the whole unit. The price tag for XR16 is about $10k.
We sat at the 109 degree room, trying to make a decision if we should spend $1k or $10k on our machine in 5 minutes. We tried to understand why everything works fine before their service. We didn’t know what happened and we are not technical, but it is just a bit coincident that after the service the machine started to have problem. He explained to us there were no wiring problem he could identify from the previous service. There are all kinds of possibilities such as the original installation could mess up the machine, and so forth.
In the end we didn’t go with his recommendation. We had another guy over and fixed the fan at almost half of his quote. So far the machine is working fine.

Stephen Baker did an excellent job in repairing our A/C. He was friendly, helpful in answering questions, and did a wonderful job! I would highly recommend him.

Alien A/C is the best company I have ever used for assistance with a/c problems. We have used them for several years. They are quick to respond and go out of their way to make sure issues are addressed as soon as possible even in the worst heat of the summer! Most recently on a 105+ day our heat pump stopped working, the evening before I was to leave out of town. The owner was able to get someone out very early the next morning before I had to leave for the airport. I felt very comfortable and confident in Mike's ability to take care of our a/c. i had to leave, but he stayed and finished the job very nicely, and the cost was very reasonable. My husband and daughters were very happy to have the a/c fixed so quickly (as was I). I would highly recommend this company!
