Best Water Heater Repair And Installation in Austin TX

Had a toilet that was sliding around. Figured it was a busted flange. Plumber arrived and had me sign a $405. work order to pull the toilet and reset it. Pulled the toilet and confirmed it was the flange. Plumber went outside to text main office and came back in with TWO more proposals, One for $1,785. and the other for $3,885. that one included jack hammering out my floor. I said that's a lot of money and I would have to think about it, he left and left the toilet sitting by my shower. I fixed it myself for $41.05. I said I would like at least a $300 refund because they charged me to reset the toilet. After 6 e mails to the company they just blew me off. I'll never call them again.

Used these folks one time and was extremely happy with their service. The owner (Gilbert) was a real stand up guy. He explained everything to my satisfaction, showed up when he said he would, did excellent work and completed it in a timely manner. Their prices are excellent too. I'll definitely use them for all my future plumbing needs.

Great service. I had a new washer/dryer tandem delivered and the water connections were corroded and could not be removed from the older set. This is a second home for my wife and I, and we were intending to return home after the new units were delivered so we needed immediate service. I called Economy Plumbing and a plumber arrived at my condo within 90 minutes (our condo is in Horseshoe Bay and the plumber was assigned from Austin). One hour after the plumber arrived everything was working perfectly. Our plumber was Brandon and he was very knowledgeable and courteous. I will certainly use this company again for plumbing repairs and would highly recommend them!

Not a bad company. I can tell they're professional. But their prices is quite high compared with others. Their water heater install quote was 1,000+ more than Lowe's and home depot. Partly because they said the permit fee will be about 400 more than what the other guys looked up. They also charge a 50 dollar fee just to come out and give an estimate whereas the other companies did it for free (fees waived if you go through with their service).Another thing, the water heater picked by this company for the install was significantly more expensive than the best rated, highly warrantied (by lots of people) A.O. Smith one you can buy from Lowes. I don't know why anyone won't just buy one from Lowes and do the install.In the end, I went with Lowe's water heater install. They hired Fairway Plumbing, who did the job quickly and efficiently. Fairway Plumbing guys (not this company, the ones hired by Lowes) put down matts to catch debris, and was in and out in record time.Given the service fee charged by Mr. Rooter for every call, the discrepancies in fees, and the nickle-and-diming for every small thing that needs to be done, I have a hard time recommending them if you need a new water heater.Edit: I see the reply from the owner on my post. That is nice. I wish I knew which changes they made. If they lowered the fees / overestimates, I'd be open to changing my mind about them.

The guys got hung up on a previous job, which I understand since my ex was a plumber his entire career. Despite the delay, the company was very communicative re: the lateness. And the quality and value of the service made up for it in spades :-) Friendly and knowledgeable techs went out of their way to ensure a job well done (and it was NOT a pleasant job!).

A co-worker recommended Thunderbird plumbing so I called them up. It's been my best experience during my remodeling project. Jeff came by to see the work area and give me an estimate and was very responsive to my calls and emails. He came in a few days later, right at the time we had scheduled, and made quick work of the shower valve. Plus, he charged about a third of the price another plumbing company had quoted me. I'd recommend Thunderbird to anyone.

They were very responsive when I needed prompt help for a backed-up pipe. They gave me a two hour arrival window but called exactly 15 minutes before the start of the window to ask if they could make their way over. When he arrived, he was upfront about what work would be needed and what it would cost to seek my approval before starting. The work was fast, clean and friendly.

These folks go the extra mile to make things right! There was a bit of confusion the morning of my appointment and Johnny Rooter was not able to come at the time that was scheduled on the previous day, and they made the extra effort to come out the same day after hours to rectify the issue. Not only was the issue resolved, but they made no hesitation to assume responsibility. Things happen, and they did what needed to be done. Can’t ask for anything more from a service company!
