Best Toilet Repair in Austin TX

I had a potential small gas leak in a hose to my HVAC. This had me worried but as I called around to find a plumbing company, most were unavailable to schedule for 4 days. When I explained my situation to these good folks, they immediately transferred me to talk with someone to help me evaluate the urgency. They got me in the next morning. The plumber thoroughly evaluated the system but did not find a leak. After all of this, they were not even going to charge me a service call fee. I decided to have them replace the old hoses just to be safe. They did so on the spot. I am so grateful to this whole team for caring enough to slow down in a busy time and really listen, then efficiently and professionally finish the job! From my initial call, to speaking with dispatch, and finally my experience with the plumber…this is a company that knows what customer service is about… and they understand basic human kindness. I highly recommend them.

We had them come in to detect issues with some water leaks. They found them and were able to service us quickly, however they did have to come back after missing one area which left us three additional days without being able to shower. Their prices are really fair.

They must be desperate to hire because they have absolutely insane plumbers. I'm 64 years old driving a little SUV returning home from a doctor visit. Their driver, speeding on Duval street near the Domain, then crossed 3 lanes to turn cutting you off and slam on brakes because they must be missing the turn to go onto MOPAC to go north, no signal, no arm wave gesture showing kindness, just cut you off, then after honking, flip you the finger like it was you who did something wrong.After a few finger flips, the driver literally stops traffic behind him, gets out of his company truck, like he is going to fight...walks up to your window name calls you lots of CURSE WORDS more, then drives off. You follow to try to get and copy the drivers truck license as he risks lives on the highway speeding and risky lane changing and then at another stop into an apartment complex entrance, gets out of his truck and does it all again, cursing at you, triple finger flipping you while his arms are waving? All this even while you have the company's receptionist on the phone explaining to her this young Hispanic plumber's insane behavior, unsafe driving and asking her to speak to him.All this with their company name plastered all over their big truck, and the receptionist doesn't seem to care?She gets your personal information says a manager will call, of course no call. So since no call, l left this review.Would you want someone (a plumber) like this allowed into your HOME?

I'm a real estate agent and I just used Capital City Plumbing for my clients who were buying. I have used them in the past as well, but this transaction was more complicated with a foundation repair and a tight timeline. I needed to get repairs done before closing and Capital City Plumbing did a fantastic job communicating and getting the job done for me in order to close for my buyers on time. I also got another bid and they actually beat their price. Everything was super easy, great communication, and they understood my urgency of needing to get it done by a certain date and made it happen. The technicians were also super helpful and explained all of my questions and got back to me right away. I did not feel rushed or like I was bothering them. The entire staff including the techs and the office staff made me feel like they genuinely cared. I will definitely go to Capital City Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs in the future for my clients. Fantastic service and I felt they were very honest. We used Plumb Master after hours to fix a broken fitting, the tech was very knowledgeable and did a good job on the repair. The issue we have is with the cost of the repair. Initially the tech thought it was one issue and quoted the repair to be around $2,000, since they thought that a large portion of a copper pipe would have to be replaced. Once he began the work it turned out to be something much simpler, basically a fitting on a pipe was cracked and had to be replaced. The two fittings that were replaced cost less than $50 and the time that was spent was 3.5 hours. 1 hour to travel from our house to the shop to pick up a part, 45 minutes to let the cement dry on the PVC fitting, and 2 hours for the repair. The final cost of the repair was over $1400 for replacing two fittings that cost less than $50. I want to be clear, the technician did a good job, my point it that the cost of the repair is excessive. I understand that this was done after hours and there is additional cost to that, on the bill I was charged a after hours fee, which I am more than happy to pay as it was a Friday night. I called several other plumbing companies just to see if what I was charged was inline with normal practices, this does not seem to be the case. I did call plumb masters to try and see if they could explain to me why the charge was so much and the gentleman on the phone basically said that was the cost because of the tool that was used. If your repair can wait and you can shop around I would recommend that you do that.Response to owner - The work that was done was completely different than what was quoted. The initial quote was to replace a large copper pipe, which was not done because that was not the issue. The issue was a fitting that had cracked, that is very different than replacing a large pipe. I am not disputing that a plumber needed to do the work and that required a skilled technician. The cost that was charged to replace a pvc fitting should not have been over $1400, that is just taking advantage of the customer.

Dylan with Ben Franklin plumbing was amazing and so knowledgeable and patient with us regarding our issue. Being new home owners we are learning a lot about our house and we just had a crash course in sewer plumbing. Dylan was quick, assessed the issue, provided us with great information and things to look out for, etc. He resolved our issue quickly and we also had him quote more plumbing items we need to fix sooner than later. I can rest easy now that my issue is fixed and learned a ton in the process.

Brad came out to my house on a freezing December morning and replaced my owner cutoff valve at the street. He's super no nonsense, so if you're looking for touchy feely, go talk to the guy walking the plumbing aisle at Home Depot. He's done a couple of other jobs for me in the past, and I wouldn't call anyone else.
