Best Install Water Service in Austin TX

Quoted 3,300 to install a water heater. Offered up 2 potential fixes to avoid replacement, each running at $500/repair with no guarantees and delays. Called my cousin, who fixed it with a $135 part from Home Depot in minutes. Bad Value - Stay Away!

Dennis came out on a Sunday, in the snow, along with his supervisor, to install a water heater on the coldest day of the year. He was professional and responsive to say the least. I would highly recommend Rooter-Man to anyone needing service.

I called Economy Plumbing after the hard freeze because we weren't getting hot water in the washing machine, and to get a free 1-year inspection on a hot water heater. Scheduling was a headache; they had a backlog of customers naturally but they kept refusing to tell me even how many there were and when I might get an appointment. Then suddenly they were available that day. I forgot to ask what the diagnostic fee was. Stan's charges $89 and they could give me an appointment, but it was 2 weeks out, so I said yes to Economy. Once Matthew was here he told me the diagnostic fee was $300. I asked what the hourly rate was, and he said $380. Full time, that would come to $760,000 per year. I said I'd get someone else. He came down to $225 so I said OK. He found the problem--sediment in the pipe--in about 5 minutes. Then he drained and inspected the water heater, told me I'd have hot water in the back addition where the unit is in about 6 hours, and left. I started a load of clothes in the washing machine and when the wash cycle ended, I heard a flood of water. He'd failed to re-attach the drain pipe. I mopped up the floor, then noticed the rinse cycle wasn't starting; he'd failed to turn the cold water back on. The next morning we had no hot water in the back addition. I got a ladder and climbed into the attic to inspect it. No power to the unit. He had failed to turn the fuse back on after draining it. Terrible service! Never again! And I only wrote this review because they asked me FIVE times for a review. Never again.

Mike and Kyle came out from Capital City Plumbing to diagnose and repair a leak behind the wall of my shower. They were determined to find and fix the leak. They were very clear on the cost, and the damage to the tile and wall that were necessary to get to the leak. Good communication, quick repair, and they cleaned up after. Last year I made a mistake trying to install a new bathtub faucet to my guest bathroom and I called a few different plumbers to come and do things correctly. L&P quoted me a very reasonable price so I went with them.Fabian showed up on time, took one look at my problem and then gave me some options on what he could do. Because it wasn't terribly urgent and we weren't sure if we were going to be remodeling he recommended that we just cap the pipe for the time being. After doing so (and re-installing a shower head so it worked better) he refused payment because it was such a simple job. I promised that when I did decide on what direction I'd take he'd be the person I would hire.Skip forward a year and I called Fabian to come back out to fix the plumbing completely. Again, the guy was on point every possible way. The faucet is now working flawlessly and the work was reasonably priced.I can not recommend L&P Plumbing enough. As long as I live in the Austin area, they will be my go to for anything plumbing related.Update:I hired L&P to come back and install a vanity or me. Alex showed up and custom fitted the plumbing to work with a somewhat difficult shelving configuration. He was excellent as was his work.

Eric of Fast Plumbing is the man to call. I had some issues with my washing machine hose bibs and drain piping. I had called a different company first. They told me what a huge problem I had. Their bid was way out of line. I didn't accept their bid.Then, Eric of Fast Plumbing responded, and fixed everything. He was quick, extremely competent, and charged what the job was worth. (By his standards, the job was simple).I'm happy to have this job done, but am happier that i now have a go-to guy for my 40+ year old house. Thanks, Eric

At 8:30 this AM, the COA knocked on my door to tell me they had turned off my water because it was leaking 4 gallons per minute! Obviously this was a crisis as I had already flushed the toilet with my one and only chance.Plumb Masters fit me in this afternoon, immediately located where the issue was and had it fixed in under an hour.
