S & D Plumbing - Austin, TX Plumber
I had issue with low water pressure with guest shower and called S & D and explain the issue over the phone.1. It was explain the company does not charge any dispatch fee and if no work will be performed than there will be no fee dues. However after the technician arrived it was stated there is diagnose fee of ~$200 which is the cost for their time to come on site?. This is certainly not inline with the phone conversation.2. Technician diagnose by looking at the spout and estimate will cost ~$300 to replace the valve. Explain to technician valve has been check with no issue and technician agree to charge only diagnostic fee if they are not able increase the water pressure. Technician proceed to exchange the shower valve and results is exactly the same as before. Informed newer shower head has slower water flow and need to exchange the flow control which involve with opening the wall and tiles in order to increase the water pressure. Hence I was out with ~$200 and water flow still exactly the same as before. Would be have been better if this was informed at the beginning with no additional charge.

Rooter-Man Plumbing Austin TX Plumber
We had a sewage line backup outside our house last Saturday. Rooter Man was able to get a technician to our house within a couple of hours. Curtis cleared the line and showed us that we had root intrusion into part of the sewage line (yaaaaay).Curtis really went the extra mile. He spent some extra time with the camera and found a second break right where our drain meets the city line and gave us advice on how to handle that with the city.Curtis was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. We would use Rooter Man again, and we'd ask for Curtis.

BenjaminBL Plumbing Plumber
I called BenjaminBL plumbers because they were supposedly a 5* company. We had a leaking toilet and called them only for them to tell me that they could not come out for 7 days. We went ahead and took that appointment. A family member was here at that time and would turn the water off at night. Earlier this same year, that same toilet had a piece break off during the night and our home flooded impacting most of our house. This flood was two weeks to the day after major heart surgery. I explained my concern about a previous flood and they said they could not come before then. Our day of appointment arrived and 1/2 hour before the end of day, an employee called and canceled the appointment and said they could not reschedule our appointment until 7 more days. They would not schedule it the following day because they were committed all day. I was horrified that they were so unresponsive to our concern of a repeated flood and being that we are elderly, it was not something we could continue to turn on and off the water as we both have walkers. We called another plumber the following day and we received service that same day. BenjaminBL were shockingly unconcerned about our situation. It was disturbing how cold they sounded.I received your response claiming that my daughter was rude who spoke with you after I did. In fact that was not me and she was not rude, simply angry that you were postponing us for another week instead of coming the next day. You also waited until the end of the day to call us in a situation that could have caused us another flood. There was not an apology. Usually when you cancel a person, that person should be next in line for an appointment. Our daughter was afraid to return home to another state and have us with a potential flood as we’re elderly. Is the person so fragile that called that they can’t deal with anger about no service? Do we have to walk on eggshells when speaking with you? What if we agreed to another week and then you cancel again? One more thing we canceled your appointment. By the way you say you are veteran owned and I want you to know that you just let a 90 year old Korean War veteran down. I was adding this paragraph since you commented without us being able to say our side.

Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning Plumber
Radiant's service has been a complete disaster. For $11,697.15, over the course of 8 months (March-November), they were out to our house at least 8 times and still left us with a broken system. We finally got an opinion from 2 other companies who inspected our ducts and were shocked at the horrible job Radiant did. Examples of issues include a 3-ft hole that blew open above our indoor unit through the seal they made, several unsealed ducts, ducts daisy-chained together, giant gaps, and none of the buckets or plenums sealed (see photos). Here's the full timeline:• 3/21-3/30: Initial interactions | Radiant provided us options to fix our system that wasn't cooling our bedroom. We opted to replace the attic ductwork and install a 2-zone system.• 4/9: Install | The installation techs worked late into the evening. The later it got, the more frantic phone calls I overheard from the techs saying they didn't know it was a 2-day job and they didn't have enough people. As it got later in the evening, they told me they would need to come back another day to finish.• 4/12: Install pt 2 | They finished the install, and left large holes in our walls, trim, and closet, explaining a separate a handyman would come out in a separate visit to fix these up.• 4/15-5/10: Handyman follow-up | I had to follow-up with them to schedule a handyman, and they scheduled for 4/25. I got a call late on 4/25 saying they had to cancel. They re-scheduled for the next available date on 5/11. As it started getting hotter and I started seeing bugs in my house, I also realized they never closed the attic access and had just left a giant hole up to our attic for several weeks. I called to complain, and they gave me 2 free tune-up visits on my account.• 5/11: Handyman repairs | The handyman repairs are finally completed a month after the install is done. They did a decent job patching up.• 9/9-9/10: Radiant criticizes their own work | We scheduled our first tune-up visit that was credited to our account. On that visit, we complained about some air leakage issues we noticed, and the tech recommended another specialist should come out who could give us a better idea. We later found in a recounting of events from the HVAC Operations director that this tech was sent to upcharge us on a separate leakage test. This second tech came out and looked at our system and said that the ducts in the attic were not looking to be in good shape, and there were large gaps and it looked like some things were not installed correctly. When we told him Radiant installed those ducts, he seemed surprised and asked if Radiant did a quality inspection (they did). He said he'd have Radiant follow up with us to schedule an appointment to fix the issues.• 9/11-10/28: Following up | I did not hear back about the fixes, and had to call Radiant twice to get something scheduled. The first time, I was transferred between 3 different people, and the third ended up telling me they'd reach out to me to schedule something. They didn't. When I called a second time on 10/28, they scheduled an appointment during that phone call for 11/3• 11/3: Radiant's final visit | The tech came out to fix the system. When he was done, he said he did the best he could to fill any gaps, but it was tough because the area was tight up there and he couldn't completely seal everything, but it should be good enough.• 12/23-1/2: We started having trouble with our heat as the temperature dropped on 12/23. Another company came to give a diagnosis. Before even telling them about the work Radiant did, they said the ducts were a mess (see list at the beginning of this review). We called another company who said the same things. They said things such as I've never seen this in my 20 years in the industry, and Radiant totally f***ed this guy (overheard on one of our cameras when they were calling back to HQ).Now, another company is redoing everything. I deeply regret hiring Radiant, and I regret not calling someone else sooner. I hope this review saves someone else from what we had to go through.

A&T Service Plumbing Plumber
I had gone through three plumbers before one finally replaced my water heater (the one that replaced it was NOT A&T). When they replaced my water heater, they did something to cause my shower to stop working. After two weeks of no shower and many frustrating calls, I gave up on the plumber that installed the water heater.A&T was highly recommended by several of my neighbors at the condo complex I live in. I called them and told them about my problem. The gentleman on the phone immediately knew what the issue was (highlighting their experience and expertise!), and walked me through the fix on the phone in 30 seconds. He was very patient and didn't ask for any payment in return for the call.I've saved their number in my phone and will only use A&T Service Plumbing for any future plumbing needs!

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Austin Plumber
So this is probably the best plumber I have ever dealt with in my 12 years of home ownership so far. First of all - this review is not only about Mr. Rooter in general, but specifically about the plumber I was lucky enough to use - Jason Henderson. The guy is a total BOSS!The work we had done was first of all to convert my electric cooktop to a gas top, and secondly, replace my water heater. Jason can out pretty quickly, got everything hooked up for the gas line and then when the inspector came out with his notes, Jason updated the little things here and there to keep it moving. The water heater was a whole other animal. The old water heater was 27 years old, so WAY out of code. Jason spent a full day removing the old one and getting everything up to snuff. He also went the extra mile of doing a final pressure test on the gas lines after everything to make sure that when the inspector came out we KNOW we will pass. There are so many other little things he kept doing throughout the ay that showed that he truly cares about his customers. It may not be much if I listed them, but to me and my family it was these extra little things that made a whole world of difference.I would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter to anyone as their prices and timing was top notch, but, more specifically, if you can get Jason Henderson on your job - DO IT! You will NOT be let down!

Johnny Rooter Plumber
We had an unknown leak on our property since 2 weeks but we were not able to locate it. We received email from the city that we are consuming excessive water - 12 gph. But because the water leak was not visible anywhere, the process got very complicated. Each plumber had their own methods, some were invasive (poking several holes in walls, ground) and some suggested to reach out to leak detection companies. Though one of the plumbing companies suspected the leak spot, their estimate came to be too high $5K+.In this context, Johnny Rooter Plumbing attended us with care and they were extremely helpful. Their plumbers Mike and Bobby were extremely jolly, helpful and knowledgeable. They located the correct spot (under our concrete driveway) and with minimal digging, they were able to fix it. On top of that, they refilled the hole in the driveway and patched it up with matching concrete. Moved the dirt back into the other holes to reduce our clean up after the fix. It was whole day process but glad that we were able to locate the leak once for all and stop the water loss.We would highly recommend them due to positive attitude towards work, great work ethics, no arrogance, very down to earth demeanor and most importantly reasonable price. When others were quoting us atrociously, these guys did it 1/5 of it!
