We used Lone Star Landscaping AZ for a complete redo of our backyard and we are so glad we went with this company. There are many things that impressed us, especially the friendliness and professionalism of the personnel and the ability to translate our ideas into viable results. For example we found a fire pit online that we liked, and they were able to simply take the photo and build it exactly as we requested. They also solved a problem with our pool that others had been unable to address. We added extensive hardscape including pavers, planters and a large barbeque. This was an important project for us, and the quality of the work done exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a high quality result and friendly, professional interactions this is the place.

I have not personally hired Straight Line, but I'm very familiar with their work. In my research I spoke directly with at least 10 of their past customers by telephone. Each one expressed to me how happy they were with their landscape, and the quality experience they had working with Straight Line. I was impressed by how consistent the feedback was.

I was referred to Masterscapes by our long-time arborist when I needed a complete overhaul of our irrigation system. My initial experience was positive--until the actual scheduled workdate. The foreman originally assigned to my account (who I'd had in depth discussions with regarding expectations) did not show up and did not communicate the expected work to the on-site crew. They did their best, but did not meet my expectations. I communicated that with the lead on-site, and he assured me that the office would call me to make it right. I waited weeks. No call until nearly a month later and then it was to ask for the rest of the payment. I explained my dissatisfaction and they sent someone out to correct the issue, but unfortunately, I was not able to be home when the work was completed. This resulted in exposed lines in both my front and back yards, which was not my expectation. At that point, I was too frustrated to call the office again and just accepted that those lines would be exposed.

In the ~5 months since installation, several caps have disappeared from the lines, buried lines have become exposed (clearly not buried deep enough) and valve covers are regularly ajar/coming off because they were not installed flush with the ground like the work order instructed.

While everyone at this company was polite and professional to work with, I have found the quality of work and crew communication to be poor to average--especially considering how much I paid. I spent $4,800 to install a new PVC irrigation/dripline system in my front and back yards. The pricing was higher than the other bids, but because they came recommended from a trusted source and had glowing reviews online, I believed the work would be worth the higher price tag. It wasn't.

Since I have a 1-year warranty and satisfaction guarantee, I will be calling next week to request Masterscapes correct the issues mentioned above. Given the sub-par experience, I would NOT recommend them to a friend or family member.

The guys were there first thing in the morning and made quick work of our overgrown gravel yard! The only reason for losing a star is that just a month later the weeds are coming back, and we've realized areas were trimmed down but roots were left (not many, but it's hot work out this time of year that we've got to maintain).
The guys doing the work were nice and professional!

I want to say thank you to the team at Big Nick's Landscaping. These guys are amazing. They did a travertine installation for us. They did such beautiful work and I am so happy with my expereince. Their crew is very organized, professional, and they do fantastic work. I can't say thank you enough. I definitely plan to utilize their services again in the future.

There was great communication throughout the design and finished project. George's and his crew did the amazing job.

Luis and his team are fantastic! Luis came out to give us a free estimate and we have been using Landscaping Authority ever since. They even installed and educated us on the use of our watering system. Luis even built us a beautiful custom planter for our new babmboo plant! We are very picky and went through two companies before Landscaping Authority. We love their service and dependability. I would highly recommend this company!

It was a a great experience great people

Scottsdale Landscaping Company mows my lawn weekly. Also, I have them fertilize, bag my leaves in the fall, prune my bushes, do snow disposal, and do landscaping.

Asked for a quote and scheduled a time, then they no-showed me with no message. When we rescheduled and they finally came to do measurements, they said they would provide a quote that night and then I never heard from them again. Still haven’t received a quote or message several days later.

The entire team is very responsible and they answer and address any problem that comes up in a convenient way. If you are in need of any landscaping work do give them all and have your problems sorted out.

Hired Jose for a general yard clean up and he did a good job. A couple of months later I hired him for monthly yard service. My lot is around 3/4 acre and we agreed on general cleanup excluding tree trimming for $175 per visit.

He and his team were punctual and stayed for about an hour which comes out to $58/hr per person. Front and back area looked good after they finished and Jose needed to get paid right then and there. After they left I discovered that the side area of my yard looked untouched and branch clippings that we had agreed to be picked up where left behind.

I texted him and his response was I do it next month. Since I don't want to stare at a pile of debris for an entire month I politely asked him to come back before next month and to complete the job. He agreed and said next week. I didn't hear from him for 5 days and reached out when he would come. His response: I'll come by tomorrow and pick it up, but in the future I will only pick up branched that we cut off. He made it sound like he was doing me a favor by coming back even though it was part of the scope when he quoted me.

Needless to say he didn't show up when he promised he would. I then proceeded to call him to see when he would come back and he just hung up the phone on me. At almost $60/hr per person I expect better service!

Hire him at your own risk. He is a charming guy and fooled me.

Also keep in mind of all the 5 star reviews he is one of the reviewers himself: Jose Rodriguez. The rest are probably friends and family.

*******UPDATE********
After I wrote the review & contacted the ROC Victors' Landscaping Inc served me with papers for a law suit. Victor Pope (owner) sued me for non payment (before the ROC even reviewed his work) and defamation (for the review). After some research I found that this wasn't the first time VLI has threatened or sued someone when his work was questioned by a customer. Meaning he uses this tactic to intimidate customers into paying for bad workmanship. The ROC agreed with every single complaint I had and I went to court and Maricopa County agreed in my favor. He even got his Project Manager to lie to the judge. Don't let a shady company scare you with a law suit if you know they are wrong. Hopefully Victor Pope learned a valuable lesson about false accusations & petty intimidation tactics.

Horrible experience.
1) Owner, Victor Pope, was very rude. He will talk over you and not listen to your concerns. Even after telling him to stop talking over me while I'm speaking, he continued to do it. Sarcastic attitude and tries to be condescending. Should've known not to hire when he was bad mouthing other potential contractors and claimed his work is top quality. Just all out very unprofessional once you make that 50% down payment.

2) The crew members urinated on my wood shed while they were working. Half of my yard was dirt but they chose to pee ON the wood shed, UNACCEPTABLE and unsanitary because I have dogs that were over there after the fact. That's how I found out. At least urinate on the dirt and then cover it if you can't help but go.

3) The crew took my shovel, which I got back only because I had yet to pay the rest of the invoice. They also broke my chainsaw trying to remove a stump.

4) The crew left one of the PVC pipes with a big leak that leaked all night under the ground. Come the next morning I find the leak when I brought the curbing subcontractor back so they could do their job. An employee from Victor's Landscaping came to check it out and straight out blamed the curbing crew when their equipment was still on the truck. Not to mention I saw it when I let them back there in the morning before anyone even started working.

5) Some sprinkler heads were below the sod, some partly under the curbing, some partly covered by sod, one too high. The gravel wasn't spread properly and you can tell the ground wasn't leveled because the curbing is rolling and not straight. Part of the yard they just didn't even level it at all. It was really just ridiculous. When the owner had to come out and look at the work they left unfinished he said Came out better than I thought it would Who says that? And then tells me that he's sorry they didn't live up to my standards after he swore up and down quality was what I was buying. He also tried putting some blame on me for the terrible work from his inexprienced crew.

6) When they sent me the invoice, I told them they need to fix the curbing that cracked because it was laid on wet ground from the leak. They wanted me to pay everything except the curbing charge because they were still dealing with the subcontractors on fixing it. Since the job wasn't finished I wasn't going to pay and they immediately started accusing me of refusing payment. Later that day they set a date for the curbing guys to come fix it, amazing how that works.

I could list more but I'm sure you get the point. This was a one thing after another, upsetting, irritating situation. Obviously I made a terrible choice based off the BBB website recommendation and that's on me but all the unprofessional actions of the crew and attitude of the owner was completely unnecessary. I guarantee if the owner replys to this review it will be something sarcastic or will involve blame on on the part of others.

I am having the Arizona ROC review their terrible work. I would definitely, 100%, without a doubt, not recommend Victor's Landscaping, Inc.

This company does a poor job responding and honoring their warranties. I bought a new home. Gothic did my front landscaping. I had death plants in the first 60 days. I call them, someone came told us one thing and reported something different in their notes. It has been about a month since their first show up and they have not replaced my death plants. Also their designs and style are below standards. I hope Gehan Homes stops making business with them.
