Curt Havens and his team did a fantastic design and front & backyard landscaping implementation on our home. He was by far the best value for money based on multiple quotes we got. No issues with communications or making a few design changes here and there along the way. I would certainly use Curt and his company for any future work and I would highly recommend Outside Living Concepts to anyone looking for new landscaping or updating an existing landscape design.

Wow is all we can say. We scheduled an appointment with Corbin to transform our dirt backyard into what we hoped would be paradise. Corbin delivered beyond our hopes. He was patient and listened to our ideas. Corbin left with all ideas and a few days later revisited with us to share the complete design. I was extremely happy with the work that Outside Living Concepts did for me. I had significant repair to an existing patio slab, extension of the patio, addition of a built-in BBQ/bar and replacement of a putting green. There were some delays due to supply chain issues, but I was always made aware of them with an estimated timeframe for completion of the project. My designer, Reid Havens, was fantastic to work with - very easy-going, professional and most important to me, responsive. The crew was fabulous and worked very hard; they did a thorough clean-up after each phase of the project and were respectful of me and my neighbors. Since my project was completed 3 months ago, I have spent many enjoyable hours on my patio and putting green - it is my happy place! I would recommend Reid and Outdoor Living Concepts to anyone who needs a landscaping project done.

Very responsive to all of our requests, open to our suggestions but also extremely helpful in guiding us through our backyard redesign and making helpful suggestions. Outdoor Living Concepts upgraded our back yard, and we are very happy with the result. From Design, to execution, to the eventual outcome - all of it was first class and an enjoyable experience.

Speaking of experience, we had a great crew of folks - beginning with our Designer - Fernando. For Fernando, it doesn't come across as just a job, he truly loves what he does. He's genuinely excited for any project - smaller scale to large. Every step of the way was fantastic - and he also came to the Nursery and helped us choose our plants and trees, and he was nearly giddy with excitement about what he was thinking would work for our back yard. Great design and a very special person - that's Fernando.

George was handling the project and he was always helpful, positive, and responsive. Another great person to have. His crew did a great job. George made sure that Fernando's design came to be and that it was quality work. Exactly what you want.

Regarding the process, I'll start with this - be patient when doing a project like this. Outdoor Living Concepts has many projects - each one is important and I suspect they treat each customer that way too. When it's time for your project, you will get the individual attention and focus. Same thing for warranty stuff - it needs to be scheduled, and sometimes it might be a couple of weeks. Be patient - the reward is great.

Yes, we did run into an issue. We found out on a Friday that our very large spa would need to be delivered on the following Monday morning. The crew had not fully prepared the spot where the spa would land in the back yard, and in our front yard, they still had pavers, sand, etc, that would be in the way of the crane. I was frantically calling everyone and even reached the owner Curt. Curt, George, and Fernando all made the effort to get some of those tasks done over the weekend, and they had the crew arrive around 4am-5am on that Monday morning to get the rest done ahead of the spa install. Great teamwork and effort, and I was very appreciative. If not for this issue, I might not have ever spoken to the owner - Curt. I'm glad I did, because I see where the DNA for Outdoor Living Concepts comes from - an owner who really cares and truly wants customers to be happy. Thanks Curt!

One of our trees died and a few plants. No problem at all, no arguing, no questioning, they replaced them under warranty. For our part, we waited until the 3 months was up (as they recommend) and then called and worked out the scheduling for the warranty.

I did get a second quote from another company, which came in slightly higher, so we were happy with the price. Overall, I am extremely happy with the experience, and I would not hesitate to have Outdoor Living Concepts handle my next project. Highly recommended!

Curt and the Outside Living Concepts team did a phenomenal job upgrading our backyard. They are a highly skilled team of professionals that go above and beyond and deliver as promised. Curt is an outstanding designer with a great passion for what he does. His recommendations were on point as he weaved what we were looking for with his expertise and vision. It was great seeing George, the lead foreman, and Daniel, the lead mason, bring Curt’s vision to life and turn a plain backyard with a pool to something that now resembles a 5-star resort. We are very happy with the final product and absolutely love our new backyard!

Curt from Outside Living Concepts is great. He and his team transformed our backyard into a place we can enjoy with the bonus of low maintenance instead of a yard that required a lot of work. From the pavers, to the synthetic turf, to the beautiful fireplace and arbor, his attention to details is what now makes our backyard look amazing. He stayed within budget and finished the project on-time---probably the 2 most important things you want from a contractor. Curt definitely exceeded our expectations.

Curt and his team re-landscaped our entire backyard. We developed a plan in phases and then installed those phases as we were able to afford the work. The results have been fantastic and our enjoyment of our outdoor living space with friends and family has increased dramatically.

Last year Outside Living Concepts replaced my cracked and stained concrete walkway with stone. Curt Havens and his team made it so easy and it still looks beautiful. He took care of coordinating the design and materials approval with my HOA. His crew was fast and friendly. The whole experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an updated look for their entryway. I am only sorry I waited so long to have this done.

Our backyard looks awesome. Their design was way better than anything we could have imagined. Price was lower than other quotes and we got more out of it. They finished a week early. The workers worked their butts off every day, never stopped. Will post pictures soon of before and afters. Only thing we didn’t love was not a lot of communication.

Exceeded our expectations best describes our project. Curt Havens' enthusiasm is backed by real substance. We have never had a more hands on designer/owner. He was fun to work with, listened well, & met our needs with an affordable BBQ/bar design. His construction team was prompt, courteous and true craftsmen. We were looking for someone to handle our project and found a company we can trust well into the future. We can enthusiastically recommend Outside Living Concepts...and we rarely make recommendations.

We became familiar with Outside Living Concepts when we noticed one of our neighbors having their landscaping being renovated, talked with the neighbor to see if they would recommend OLC (which they did!), which led to us contacting Curt from Outside Living Concepts for a makeover of our front and back yard landscaping and pool area. We were pleased with the entire process, from initial discussions on the scope of the project through handing over the final payment. Curt is highly experienced and a consummate professional, had innovative ideas to present, incorporated our ideas where appropriate, has his own highly skilled team along with the best subcontractors (pool, decking, etc), is very detailed oriented, followed up frequently, and made the overall process stress-free. We are very pleased with the outcome, and receive compliments from all who visit. Highly pleased, and highly recommended!

Requested a quote. Received a long email explaining their minimum project size is $10k and if I was willing to spend that then I could call to schedule a consult. I did and got a long talking to about how landscaping costs money, clients don’t usually understand the costs involved, etc. It was just shy of insulting because you already prefaced that in an email. I tried to explain that I have done some research and had a quote from 9 months ago that was high but my concept changed and I didn’t have wholistic design. The owner sounded bitter that he does so many quotes and people change their minds. Why offer free quotes and then treat every potential customer like they are going to waste your time? At the point I was almost annoyed he said he’d have his guy contact me about the project. Never heard from him. No follow up.

I signed with someone who is excited to beautify an ugly urban patio of a historic home in a historic district. He never mentioned a minimum. Cost will be 25k.

I am very pleased with the landscaping job in the front and back yard for my new house. The job was done in a timely fashion as promised by Curt. Todd went through a lot of hassle with the HOA to get approval on the landscaping but he came through very nicely. I would recommend Outside Living Concepts to any of my friends or family that needed landscaping.Dishonest people. Told me if i write good report they will give me 6 months warranty and when my 15 plants died in less than 2 months they refused to give me new plants, finally after arguing with the owner he gave only 5 plants and did not put in the ground, only deliver them.

Curt and his crew were just great. He delivered everything he promised: great design, on time finish, expert craftsmanship, and swift follow-up on items we wished to add. And our backyard living area turned out to be just beautiful.

Ron was great. He helped me with the design and picked out great plants. My only complaint was with the travertine installation. The installers didn't follow the plans drawn out and used cracked tile. The company took care of everything and I am very happy with the final result

Had called Outside living to get a quote for a complete backyard remodel. They came out but failed to deliver an estimate later. Poor communications and lack of ownership even with several follow up emails, texts and calls.

Called and a guy named Kurt answered. No business name. Told him what I’m looking for and he said he doesn’t do any projects under $10,000.

Gave these guys a call, Anthony came out told him our ideas, he took some measurements and said he would be in touch with us in a week, its been over two weeks, nothing. Talked to the owner this morning said he would find out whats going on, haven't heard back, what a great way to run a business... Just lost a $50,000 contract. oh well on to yelp.

They rocked it. Literally and figuratively.

They redid our backyard in pavers, rock and faux grass. And it is beautiful. Great for the kids. Great for us! One of their smaller projects maybe, but big for us, and it totally upgraded our lifestyle, giving so much more function to our backyard.

Curt was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in making the landscape process smooth and understandable for first-timers. He also understood our need for a low-maintenance yard and was able to make that happen for us. Best of all, it took only a few days to make our yard come to life--just as was promised.
