I am glad I have discovered Brown Roofing and will use them for all my roofing needs. They recently repaired a roof leak and corrected some previous shoddy work around our chimney. Ernie came out to evaluate our roof problem on our patio that was caused by a previous construction company. He suggested some options for repair that included foaming the room (very small flat roof), however, he was confident that the leak was caused by a poor job of caulking areas that could easily leak. He assisted in sealing the area with an industrial caulk and provided suggestions for me to further water proof the stucco which needed painting. He was fair, honest and happy to help and didn't charge a dime. Great experience - thanks Ernie!

Mikku and Sons did our roof in 2018 and it leaked within 6 months causing water damage to our ceiling drywall. We let them know, and they sent out on of their personnel who said he couldn’t see a leak or any issues, and they would not cover costs for the damage inside. We called again and asked them to send someone else. He found the issue and fixed it by caulking a couple different locations. He also said their warranty and guarantee does not cover any interior damage. What good is a warranty if their poor workmanship causes water damage inside your house? Issue is still not resolved.

The good about this company and their install was the cost and the fact that my roof did not leak.

Unfortunately, that was where the good stopped. I felt that many corners were cut on the installation. Photo below is an excellent example. Almeida will exclude painting from their scope (which is fair). But then they perform work, remove fascia (and in one spot - replace it with a 2x4), and install the roof in a way that does not allow you to come back and paint the wood they replace. I am not sure why this was done.

Also photoed are spots on my flat roof where the rolled roofing was bubbled. Their fix was to shoot sealant into the void, rather than heat up the roofing and reseal, which they told me they would do.

It took three return visits to correct issues. First pass included flashings missing and possibly the worst cut on a flat roof I have ever seen. My flat roof over the garage still has an area where the flashings seem to have a drop in them, but I've just accepted this is the way it is going to be now.

I felt the final visit to correct issues was the top guy. He was quite good, but could only do so much to salvage what had already been done.

All in all, if you're in a bind, these guys should be low and based on my experience, do care to make sure your roof doesn't leak. If you have the time to stand over their shoulder and manage the work, you'll probably be OK. But if you want something done with attention to detail, I'd recommend going elsewhere and paying a little more. I wish I had.

I had a 12,000 square foot re-roof job done at my Paradise Valley home by Patterson and it was mired in trouble from the beginning. Delays, horrible communication, and the worst part was that the workmanship and finish were very bad. We also had workers showing up at random times in the evenings without notice walking on our roof which made us concerned. Owner offered (in writing mind you) to fix the poor quality finishes to only backtrack because I wouldn't remove my online reviews (have that in writing too). Professionalism and integrity lacking here. We regret choosing Patterson roofing. Now we need to pay another firm to fix his mistakes. But if we do, they won't honor the 15 year warranty we paid for. Buyer beware!

We had a complete tear out and replacement of our roof. The price was fair and they did a great job. But, what is most impressive was the continual communication and oversight from the owner as well as pictures to update us on the actual progress. The owner went by the house a number of times to check and double check the work. He was very honest and there were no surprises during the process. I have worked with a lot of contractors and have never found one to have such exceptional communication and customer service skills. Thank you for the terrific experience!

Kris Chavez and the crew that the did the roof replacement were very Professional and I recommend these folks for any project. They were the most efficient and courteous of any contractor I have met in the Valley in the 45 years I have lived here.

In monsoon season 2017 , we had two crazy storms that gave us roof issues, but Star Roofing came out and fixed them right away each time. They also gave us some good recommendations and quotes on anything that could be a future issue and they fixed that also. I just really appreciate how professional and courteous their team was and I would recommend them to anyone!

My wife and I decided to get solar placed on our roof last year(freedom forever solar) and they wrapped a roof into the package deal. Well I can tell you right now it was the worst decision of my life. We had bad monsoon rains this year and all the water came pouring down on all sides of my chimney and when I went up to the roof to inspect it I noticed after looking at it real well that the flashing was never replaced and in fact they just painted over it white because The new shingles were white. We contacted the company and a man by the name of Jose replied back saying that he would call us back and let us know when he can have a technician out which he said he could do same day. Well we never heard from him after that and even sent him videos of the water leaking around the chimney and showed how the flashing was never replaced on the roof and still we got no response. I will definitely be reporting the solar company and this roof company to the Better Business Bureau. I take pride in everything I do I am a veteran of the US Army and I got this house through a VA loan. I’ve been trying to fix it up and sell it to provide my family a better life and now it seems as if all of that is crashing to an end. Run do not walk away from this company run as fast and as far as you can and let everyone know how disreputable they are.
