Craig and his team were fantastic to work with through the whole process and accommodated me working with a solar company I had chosen in advance. Brown did my shingle and roll roofing job. It was a significant 5 ½ day job including decking and facia. What Craig quoted was the same as the final bill. There were no upcharges. The crew were thorough and detailed. They also cleaned up the site each day. Craig (owner) started the job, taking time to walk me through the whole job, continually asking if I had any more questions. He was on site at least once a day. They will be my first call on my next roofing job.

My 2-day roof shingle job was completed yesterday on schedule. The owner, Craig Brown, personally started and ended the project. The Estimator/Contracts person, Jesse Coder, was a responsive and good communicator. The crew leader, Julio, who has 11 years with Brown, and the crew, did an excellent job and left everything cleaned up. Debbie in the office was huge help with the solar panel removal. There were no added costs, and my final payment was actually less than I expected. I can recommend Brown Roofing without hesitation. CED 11.18.21

We interviewed several roofing companies and are pleased that we chose Brown Roofing. They are professionals. The owner, Craig, provided the quotation and assured us that the price would not be more, and he delivered. Craig checked in with the crew and us several times a day. He is a great communicator and took the time to tell us the next steps, answer our questions and make sure that our requests were fulfilled. They completed the job on time, as promised. You know how they tell you to get at least 3 quotes? Well, my husband was so comfortable with Brown Roofing he hired them immediately for our concrete tile roof. Quote was fair. They came exactly on the date and time stated. The work was well done. Very careful and thorough. The workers cleaned up after each day. It was a quality job.
My only regret - that Brown Roofing doesn't do general contractor work. There are other projects at my home, and I would gladly hire them for other jobs.
So, you can take your time, get 3 or more quotes, or just call Brown Roofing. You will save time and money and have a great roof at the end.

We are very satisfied regarding our experience with Brown Roofing. They performed a roof replacement for us - basically taking the roof down to the plywood and replacing everything except reusing tiles that were still in good shape. From the initial meeting and quote to the scheduling and performing the work, everyone we dealt with was conscientious and professional including the office staff and installers. The quote we received was competitive, and the quality of work appears to be very good. The installation process and material were explained to us in detail, and the process went exactly as described: it started on the day they told us it would and took 4 days to complete as advertised. Craig Brown or Jesse Coder were there at the beginning and end and during the installation to check on the progress. Based on our experience, I have no hesitation in recommending Brown Roofing.

Fair price with quality results. Brown Roofing did an outstanding job on replacing the underlayment on my roof. Jesse and Craig were both very responsive and provided details throughout the job. They did the work on the stated timeline, cleaned up after each day, and ended the job leaving my yard cleaner than it was when they first arrived. Replacement boards were painted and with the three-inch bird-stop, the roof now looks refreshed and updated. After solar panels were installed, Jesse quickly came back to inspect the roof to ensure no damage was done. Should anything arise in the future, I feel confident they will respond quickly. I recently had my shingle roof replaced. Brown Roofing came in with the lowest bid of 3 vendors. They were able to schedule me within 2 weeks which was impressive. A friend of mine recently used them and said they did an excellent job on his house. They completed the job in 1 day and left my yard cleaner than it was before they arrived. The owner Craig even helped me out by extending out 2 scuppers which were not in the original scope of work. When I need to have my flat roof redone, I’ll be calling Brown Roofing!

I have been dealing with a huge hole in my house for months due to a poor installation of my solar panels. I received quotes from a half dozen roofers and during my HVAC company A/C install I was referred to Brown Roofing. I called and spoke to Debbie to set up an appointment. Craig came out and explained in detail what he does and won the final bid. His bid includes double layer underlayment as a standard, bird stops and additional roof vents that were not offered by any of the other companies, and has the absolute best warranty.

Replacing a roof is never fun or something anyone wants to do. It is expensive, stressful and time consuming. Jesse and team made the whole process as easy as possible. It was time for the roof to be replaced, as it had reached 25 years old since it was built. We bought our First and Final Home and figured this was going to be the biggest investment going forward that had to be good quality. The builder appeared to take many short cuts in the roof so I wanted a good Roofer that would actually make my home better than original! Found many roofers in Az that had good reviews and quality work but for some reason Brown Roofing had reviews that just spoke to me. Courteous, timely, efficient, quality craftsmanship and no up charging. In talking to Jesse at the first quote you just felt like old school Customer Service was there. They knew their stuff, stood by their craft and didn't do upcharges for things like fascia board needing repaired or replaced and they painted all of the pieces that needed to be repaired (with supplied original paint). No one did that with out a separate charge!. After working in the Architecture industry for almost 30 years I knew what good Flashing looks like! My home was so lacking in flashing I just freaked out every time it rained! Brown picked up on every Flashing scenario and I tell you what...this house is not going to leak! We are ready for the Monsoons if they ever come back. If you want top quality craftsmanship, value and real old time Customer Service look no further. I looked at a lot of top end roofers and found that Brown just seemed to capture the Customer service High point. Brown is not the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive, by a long shot. I had Brown Roofing come to my house and do a roof inspection, which was free of charge. They showed me everything that needed attention, as well as the things that didn't. I felt they were very honest and they didn't try to sell me on a single thing, or make me worry about things that didn't matter, explaining everything along the way. We had our roof replaced by Craig and his company last week. This is not something I took lightly. We're are literally talking about the roof over my family's head. I had several estimates and spent a lot of time taking to people who knew the industry. I chose Craig because he's local, runs a family business, and was willing to stand by his work. The price wasn't the cheapest we were quoted but also not the highest by a long shot. The job started on time and finished ahead of schedule. Craig's workers were professional and took time to clean up after themselves. We did have an issue with my AC unit blowing a fuse twice. You can tell a lot about a person how they handle adverse situations. We realized the AC was out after-hours. I reached out to Craig and he was all over it. The AC was up and running quickly and Craig took care of it. He was contrite and did whatever he needed to make sure it was fixed. That's good customer service. I recommend Craig and Brown Roofing to anyone looking for a new roof.

We hired Brown Roofing to replace the roof and repair the fascia on our house. From start to finish, Debbie, Jesse, Craig, Dave and crew were great. Debbie, who was my initial contact, was so nice and helped me with my H.O.A forms . Jesse who did the estimate, which was very reasonable, was great. He answered all my questions and thoroughly explained in detail how they would fix the roof and fascia.  Dave and crew, did a wonderful job on the roof. They painted all the trim so there would be no rake lines and colored the cement  to match the tile which makes a huge difference. And last but not least, Craig, the owner, would come by regularly to see how the project was going and to see if I had any questions that needed to be addressed. He even hauled away a dresser from the garage, so I wouldn't have  to curbside it. I highly recommend  Brown Roofing, they  make you feel like your their number one customer!

He was extremely concerned with taking care of my needs and all areas of this project providing an excellent finished product which exceeded my expectations.

His crew cleaned up all debris around the job site, including using a magnet to pick up any stray nails and staples which were part of the original roof that was removed. After the completion of the job, you wouldn't be able to tell that there were even there.

We just finished getting a full new roof from Brown Roofing, and the job was completed on-time, on-budget, and everything looks great. When we noticed some leaks in our laundry room, we contacted a few companies to come give us estimates. Some companies never returned our calls and emails, and some gave estimates without much detail. Brown Roofing called us back right away to schedule the estimate, and we received a detailed quote within 24 hours. Everything was very professional and the phone and email communication was clear and responsive. The owner, Craig, was on-site for the start of the project and checked in with us along the way, until completion at the end of the week. From initial contact with Debbie to set up an appointment for the estimate from Jesse to completion of the project, all went smoothly.

The Brown Roofing team managed to get all of the new underlayment down before a monsoon storm with torrential rain came through the morning of their last day on the job. There were no leaks!

Also, the team did an excellent job removing the existing tile and saving most of it to put back over the underlayment.

Brown Roofing did a complete replacement of my shingle roof, including adding roof vents and replacing a skylight. Craig came out and did a full inspection, did a great job of explaining everything, and offered a very competitive bid. We hired Brown Roofing to redo our 20 year old roof. They were wonderful. Craig explained everything very clearly during the estimate process (we got 3 quotes and they were all comparable). We recently had our tile roof underlayment replaced and we couldn't be happier with the whole process. Jesse came out to inspect our roof, then worked up an estimate based on what needed to be done. He took the the time to explain everything and was very responsive when I had follow up questions. There's a lot going on with a roof replacement, so it can be a bit overwhelming. Their estimate for the job was not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but right in the middle and the best value. I will say the price estimated is the price I paid. Not a penny more. No upsells and didn't nickel and dime me with extras as added expenses to complete the work. Each roof is different of course. Craig and his crew arrived on the first day on time, ready to go and throughout the week. Craig stopped by each day to check progress and answer any questions I had about the work. I needed a new roof this summer and contacted many roofing companies to inspect and make proposals. Jessie from Brown Roofing made a good inspection and discussed the options and value of there proposal.. Price isn’t everything as they provided some additional features such as venting and an upgraded shingle for a very competitive price. Once the materials were available they made an appointment and did a great job removing the old roof and installing the new roof. They didn’t charge any more than the the original quote even though a couple of upgrades were included. Craig Brown is the owner and arrived with the crew at the start and the finish as well. Craig and the whole company made this a great experience. I would highly recommend using this company.

As monsoon season went into full swing, we noticed our sky lights were leaking on our 30 year old roof. We called several roofers and got estimates to replace the entire roof, inculding skylights, and decided to go with Brown.

The owner, Craig Brown, personally did the initial inspection and answered all the questions that we had. Brown was not the cheapest estimate, but it was close. What really impressed me about Brown, was that everything was included in the estimate. Unlike most of the other roofers that gave us estimates, Brown did not charge extra to replace damaged wood or tiles or to install additional vents. They used 2-ply underlayment with a greater overlap than other companies.

And they went beyond just repairing the roof. They painted wood that was now exposed due to the new tile placement. They removed an old satellite dish and repaired the damage to the wood that the orginal installer had caused. They even fixed the latch on my back gate! The Brown roofing crew was professional, polite and experieneced. They were able to compelete the entire job in less than a week and thoroughly cleaned up before leaving each day. They were meticulous in making sure there were no nails or trash left behind when the job was finished.

I appreciate that Craig was able to get us scheduled qucikly due to the leak and it being monsoon season. I am very satisfied with my new roof and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Brown Roofing.

(update) Brown Roofing is THE BEST! A recent summer microburst tore off a dozen of our roof tiles. Called and talked to Debbie the next day and she scheduled a roof inspection. Since Brown Roofing had replaced our roof, they did the inspection and repair at no cost. Tucked the tiles back in where they belonged and we're good to go! We LOVE BROWN ROOFING!

Our home is 20 years old and the roof had a small drip when it rained last spring. We researched several local roofers and Brown Roofing kept coming up a the top of the ratings.

We called and spoke to Debbie, and Jesse came out and did a walk on the roof, and took pictures, and took the time to explain that our entire roof needed fixing and why (the builder had shorted us on tiles and nails).

The quote was reasonable and the timing was right. The crew showed up on time, and worked hard and fast and finished the entire job in 2 days!

They have great attention to detail - example - they painted the wood roof trim as part of the job, and we bought a color of paint that we thought was good, but Craig noticed it didn't look right and called our attention to it. We got new paint and the next day they re-painted all the wood for us - and the whole roof, and the trim look great!

They cleaned up the yard (removed the nails, and debris) and the whole house looks great, like we got an update!!!

Inspection revealed some potential leak areas on the roof of my patio. Craig gave me a fair estimate and went over the rest of my roof and what should be done now and what I could wait on. The patio repair was done professionally and on time. There was no garbage or debris left in my yard. Debbie, in the office, was responsive and helpful every step of the way. These guys almost make me wish I had more roof issues just to hire them again!

We needed a new roof on our 1954 Central Phoenix ranch. We got 5 quotes. One was way high, three were in the ball park, and one roofing company came out but never gave me the quote (ghosted by a roofer). I picked Brown Roofing because they had done a small roof repair on another house of ours several years ago, they were very responsive, and their price for a re-shingle with a quality composite architectural shingle was very competitive. Jesse the sales guy knows his stuff. He laid out our options, delivered several samples, and answered all of our questions. Debbie in the office scheduled and kept us apprised of everything. The shingles were delivered to our roof as expected the day before they start. Craig, the owner, and Julio and his crew were here at 6 AM as promised to get started. They worked a hard day and cleaned up the work site. The second day they finished the roof and cleaned up spotless. There was one issue with a fascia board and an electrical box, not the roofers fault. Craig worked out the fix with us and came and out with his crew, replaced the fascia board, and painted it. Our roof looks great. We have gotten lots of compliments from the neighbors for kicking it up a notch. All in all it was a great experience with a great group of people. I would use Brown Roofing again.

The company did a great job replacing the flat part of my roof over my back patio, as well as a repair for the old part of my roof. I will definitely call them when the time comes to replace the rest of my roof.

Finally, Craig had said when I received my quote from him that is the price and if I ended up needing more wood, there was not going to be an additional cost. I was somewhat skeptical from past experience with other roofing companies. I did end up needing more wood replaced, and there was no additional charge. I cannot say enough about how happy I was with Brown Roofing; they are truly a great company to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have their roof replaced.

My 27 year old tile roof was in need of some attention. The underlayment was curling and brittle, some of the tile was broken and also had rotten plywood at the edges of my patio cover indicating rain was getting through. I chose this company because of it's 5 star rating and great reviews. So I set up an appointment with Debbie (who was very nice and professional) to have someone from this company come look at my roof due to damage we had incurred from a previous rain. I took off the two hours on the morning he was going to come -- no call/no show, so I had to head into work. Two hours later I get a text that he had to help on a roof due to worker shortage, so I understood, these things happen.

The problem is he said they would be done by noon and he should be able to come by. No call, so I left a message for him to find out the status------- NEVER heard another thing.

Communication is key for any business and when you say you are going to do something I expect you to do just that. I have been in customer service for my entire working career and would never drop the ball as was done with the individual from this company.

I had a roof leak that caused water damage to our house and had three different roofer inspect and troubleshoot the damage. I was very impressed with Jesse. He took the time to explain possible causes along with different options to remedy the issue. He repaired the damage on the spot and for a very reasonable price (less than half of one of the other estimates). He also messaged me after the the next rain a few days later to confirm there was no new damage. I couldn't ask for better service.

I had my tile roof underlayment replaced by Craig a month ago or so. The entire process went very smoothly, from getting quotes to after the job. I received quotes from a half dozen roofers, and while Craig wasn't quite the cheapest (he was close), for what we received, he was hands down the best value. He does double layer underlayment as a standard, which is an upgrade from most other roofers, includes birdstop, additional roof vents, skylight replacement, has a better warranty, etc.

He is professional, his crews were prompt and cleaned up the property at the end of every day, and he worked well with my AC crew that was scheduled in the middle of the roof job to swap out the AC unit. Craig was also flexible to handle the additional requests I made throughout the job without nickel and diming me.

After the job was complete, we had some wind pick up and some very minor damage. Craig was prompt in coming out and making the adjustments to the roof as needed.

I had actually asked Craig to give me a quote 5 years ago for the same scope of work. His current price, compared to his price from 5 years ago, had a very reasonable increase. Considering the current climate, shortages, price increases, etc. I did not feel like I was being gouged, unlike many other roofers.

I'm a picky customer and usually don't get along well with contractors. But Craig is one of the few contractors I've actually been happy with! If I ever have to do another roof again, I'll definitely be hiring Brown Roofing.

I keep a short list of phone numbers that I know I can trust for repeat work and Brown Roofing is the first addition in a good while. My wife and I have been putting off replacing our old roof because of a high estimate from another company. Now we're selling but we didn't want to list it with a 30 year old roof. I called Brown to get a new estimate and not only was it much better, but Jesse was really helpful and professional so we got on the schedule right away. We selected Brown Roofing after we received three bids to re-roof our house. We met with Jesse to complete the initial inspection and he walked us through every part of our roof and what we needed to look for and to be certain other companies offered us in their bids. Turns out other companies planned to reuse our old vents and other cheap materials that needed to be replaced. Brown Roofing replaced all of our vents, drip edge and added bird stops.

A friend recommended Brown Roofing and we couldn't of been happier. They held true to their price even though they encountered multiple problems (we had two roofs that needed to be removed before a new one could be installed), they kept the job site clean (which was important to us since our son was crawling everywhere), and the team was on time everyday. Brown Roofing replaced my roofing and most of my fascia board. (Bonus, they painted the fascia board for no additional charge. No other roofer I got a quote from offered to do that.) Their quote was competetive. I decided to go with Brown because Jesse took the time to walk the roof and agreed with me that most of the fascia board needed to be replaced. One other roofer did not even walk the roof and another one only wanted to replace some of the fascia board.

I needed to do a complete tear off and reset of my 30 year old roof and didn't really know where to start. I had one company come out who wanted to install a synthetic underlayment. Craig came out and bid the project and was very informative. He explained a lot to me, helped me understand what I was getting and why, and helped me choose the double felt underlayment instead. Craig told me to get 3 bids and let me know he wouldn't be the cheapest (but he wouldn't be the most expensive). I went with Brown because I felt more confident working directly with the company owner than a sales person-- I felt Craig knew what he was talking about, had good reviews, and didn't try to oversell me on his company. His crew arrived on time every day. They completed the job on time (save a delay in final paint finishing because of rain) and cleaned up really well. (I had no idea how much debris was involved!) Craig took the time to answer my questions and make sure I was informed on the project. I am very pleased with the product and the experience and I highly recommend Brown Roofing.

Brown Roofing just completed an entire re-roof for us in Tempe. We couldn't be happier with the work they did. The job site is nice and clean; they even re-raked the gravel in our front yard! The entire job was completed in two days!!! They started on the same day they said they would start on - not a small feat for contractors. We chose Brown Roofing because they were mid-range in terms of price but offered a much better attic ventilation option (read: decreased cooling costs) than was offered by any of the other roofers (we obtained five other quotes). The owner, Craig Brown, was scheduled to do our quote. He called to let me know he was running 15 minutes AHEAD of schedule. Unfortunately, I wasn't ready early, so he patiently waited until I was ready. That impressed me off the bat. Like all other roofers, Craig walked around the house and went up on the roof, and then came inside to explain his recommendations. Although all of the other roofers refused to estimate the amount of wood that would be needed for the project, Craig gave it his best shot. He wrote three pieces of plywood, some wood for the fascia, and a couple other small things into the quote. He was careful to explain that this was merely a best guess and that we would need to buy more wood if it was needed, but I really appreciated that he was trying to paint the overall picture... especially when it would've been easy to leave the wood costs out in order to appear more competitive price-wise. Every other roofer just said that it was a complete guess as to how much wood they would need, and wouldn't even try to estimate it for us. (That includes the most expensive estimate we got, which was more than a G above Brown's estimate!) As it turned out - more wood was needed - parts of the house had no trim and other parts needed the trim replaced. Craig had his team replace all of the trim, but did it WITHOUT CHARGING US for the extra labor or materials. WINNING!!! The whole thing looks very professional. Our new roof alone instantly improves the curb appeal of the entire house. Highly recommended - support small, local, family business!!!

Craig and Debbie at Brown Roofing are awesome! They have been very responsive. I received 4 quotes for my roof. They came in second least expensive but in the end I believe they would be the least expensive because of all the extra costs that I would of had to pay in the end for the extras. I didn't pay a dime over the estimate Craig gave me. Craig came out to my home every morning to check on the work and answer any questions. Great work and all up to code, which I could not say for some of the other quotes I received. Customer service is exceptional, Craig has even scheduled himself to come out after my solar panels are installed to make sure the solar company doesn't mess up his work.

I will start at the point of getting estimates for a new roof. The owner of Brown Roofing did the estimate himself. The first thing Craig told me was to get three quotes and to make sure to compare apples to apples on materials/extras he would offer versus his competitors. He spent the time to explain how the roof would be installed and answered any questions I had. Brown Roofing was the only company that gave me an all inclusive price onsite (there would be no surprises). Craig price was in the middle but he offered more than any competitor and had the best warranty.

The owner Craig was onsite the first day of the job to ensure any questions I had were answered and to get his crew going. The crew from Brown Roofing arrived early each day and worked long hours. They added extra flashing and designed a drain for my dead valley that I would have never envisioned. After a day of hard work they went the extra mile to do an impeccable cleanup job.

Craig ended the job by doing a final inspection and adding touch ups as if he was working on his own home. I felt like to entire process could not have gone any better. I spoke with and got quotes from 5 roofers before choosing Brown Roofing. I could not ask for a better job. We just bought this house and it needed a new roof. It has tile which we used to think lasted forever. The tiles do but the ‘underlayment” which is under the tiles, does not. After researching I found that some companies lay 1 layer of underlayment and some do 2, and 2 is better than 1. It should protect the roof from leaking for a longer period of time. Two of the roof bids I received only had one layer so I did not want to use them. After speaking with Craig Brown of Brown Roofing on the phone I found him to be extremely knowledgeable about roof replacement. He explained how the roofing process works and, after our conversation, I felt confident we would have a good outcome with Brown Roofing. He sent an estimate after seeing the roof and it was very reasonable. We arranged a date for them to begin work and they were there as arranged. They made sure the roof replacement was done in a quality manner in every regard. They even threw in a lot of extras and did not charge! The roof looks so much better than it did and I am confident it will be watertight for many years. They made sure everything was cleaned up everyday when they left and also when they finished and the yard looks great. One less thing to worry about. It is great to work with a company that goes out of their way to make sure you are satisfied.

Craig and his crew did a great job on my roof. Since I had two layers of asphalt shingles, I need a complete tear-off. The crew managed to finish that part in a timely manner and changed out the sheathing that was damaged. They also changed out 2 fascia boards that were rotted at the ends and I was impressed how it butted up nicely with the adjoining fascia. They did an excellent job with those angles. The estimate Craig quoted me was the total price..... he didn't nickle and dime me like some other estimates I received from other roofers. Chris the foreman and Julio the head roofer listened to my concerns and made sure I was satisfied with the work. All in all, I was impressed by the professionalism Brown Roofing showed and have already recommended them to my next door neighbor who needs his roof re-shingled as well.

When the team arrived they got right to work and knocked it out in 3 days.
They cleaned up everyday and even when some cardboard went into the pool they spent the extra time fishing it out.
They used a rolling magnet in detail to ensure that my kids and dogs wouldn't step on anything.
At the end they painted all the vents, dormers, and flashing to ensure our house looked great.

Brown roofing did a tremendous job! I got estimates from the three highest rate roofing companies on yelp, google and the BBB. While Browning Roofing wasn’t the lowest cost, he was all inclusive (i.e. fixed price). A fix cost contractor is a rare gem! No worries about anything that might have been missed in the estimate. Having dealt with other contractors that have nickeled and dimed me in the past. This is a big plus!

Craig’s crew started and finished when they said they would. Craig and his crew kept me informed on a daily basis. These guys knew what they’re doing and they did it efficiently. I was impressed not only with their work, but they did a good job of cleaning up at the end of each day.

To bottom line, it: I strongly recommend Brown Roofing. Brown roofing is a lot like Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, they’re not good, they’re great!

I rarely write reviews but when a company goes above and beyond my expectations I am compelled to let people know. I realize this is long, but hopefully it'll be helpful. I'm remodeling a home built in the late 80's and it had quite a few problems. I'd obtained seven estimates for the roof work. I wanted a contractor with a great reputation, fair pricing, and someone who - and I realize this is very subjective - really 'got' my roof. It isn't complex, but whoever did it before made several mistakes and I didn't want those repeated. I'd also heard several horror stories from my neighbors who'd had roof issues. So, only licenced, bonded, insured contractors. From each I requested costs for just repairs and costs for the entire roof to be reshingled.

From the first, Brown Roofing impressed me. Craig Brown showed up on time! After six estimates that was a big deal! Some didn't show up till 2 days after their appointed time! Craig was on my roof for about 15 minutes. When he came down he gave me a full report and told me if I only made repairs, it would cost X but in his opinion I'd be wasting my money. The shingles were deteriorating (which I knew) and I'd just need more repairs soon. Then he provided a quote for the entire roof. VERY reasonable. Thousands less than competitors. YMMV, but I was impressed! Since I'm doing this myself (no insurance involvement) I worked with Debbie in the office for all the payment issues. She was awesome as well! She provided all the info I needed, followed up with people, emailed the estimates, and provided all the answers to my questions prior to the job starting.

They called the day before to let me know when they would be there and the show started right on time. Everyone was working hard, but everyone was friendly. I had 2 layers of shingles and old paper to come off, they got it all cleared in a day. I had other issues most people may not (like getting other contractors working while the roof was off) but Brown Roofing worked with us to make it all happen. Julio was the site foreman and did a great job of making sure everyone was taken care of. Again, this was the first roof I've ever had repaired/replaced so I had a lot of questions. Two things in this phase impressed me;
1. They found several boards that were rotting due to the improper installation of the old roof and they replaced them without any fuss! They decided an area was not right, they cut it out, put in new wood, done. No calling back and forth, no hand-wringing, no Well, gee, that's gonna cost you XXX!! I'd read the contract, I told them it's okay to put new wood in if you need to, but I still expected complications. There weren't any. The job went very well! Much better than I'd anticipated.
2. In a conversation with Julio I'd made the comment that Wow! You guys sure are working hard! He smiled and said You're paying us to. I was very impressed by that statement. It embodied the whole experience of working with Brown Roofing. Very 'Customer' oriented. I've been working with a LOT of contractors over the years. Some act like they're doing you a favor by working for you. These folks treat you like a valued customer who's business is important to them. I can't say that about a lot of places.

The estimated time was 4-5 days and they finished in 3.5. They cleaned up! They hauled everything off! They were nice to the neighbors who came up to ask questions. The price was outstanding, the crew experienced and friendly, and the quality of the installation was great too!

2 - 3 weeks after they were done Craig stopped by again just to make sure everything was perfect. He said if I had any issues to just give them a call. I kinda joked with him that I had a big door at the stain shop that I needed to pick up. He said Let's go! THAT was impressive! I didn't take him up on it but I'm sure if I would have, he'd have cleared out the truck and we'd go get the door! It's THAT kind of company.

Craig, his staff and his crew were great to work with. They provided me with fantastic service and my roof looks AMAZING! He was straight up and honest from the start. The project started on time and finished early for the exact price I was initially quoted. I highly recommend Brown Roofing, LLC to anyone in the valley looking for a new roof.

I got several estimates and Craig was the most competitive, but more importantly he was the most honest about the condition of our roof and did not give us the typical high pressure sales pitch.

There were a few mishaps during the work, but he and his crew immediately addressed the issues to make it right. He won't BS you, and the crew was very polite and punctual.

Also, every day after the work they went around the house to clean up debris that had accumulated around the house. After five days of work you'd never know that a major renovation had just been completed (other than the amazing looking roof). Great job! I'm confident the roof will endure. And if we move, the warranty is transferable - which is a huge selling point if you ever decide to move!

I had a roof put in 2 years ago. They did a great job, it was more complex than they anticipated, took a little more time than first expected, but the result was great. I'm writing this 2 years later because I did have a few small issues, which they repaired free of charge within the same week I called them. Very pleased.

I worked with Dean at Brown Roofing and had a great experience. We had a leak in the roof in the front awning that had been going on for a while. Dean called when expected and came out to give a quote. Had another company come out who quoted me 2.5x what Brown Roofing was charging and was going to replace a much larger, and unnecessary, portion of the roof. Since Dean was so much more transparent and cheaper, we chose to go with him.

He came in on time when we scheduled him and his team took care of the whole job in one day. There were a couple things that he hadn't taken care of while there the first day that were not actually part of the initial bid (though I didn't realize that when I brought them up) and he came back when he came in with his cleanup truck and took care of them. The only mild frustration (if you can call it that) that we had was that it had to be scheduled out so far. But our problem was minor and wasn't affecting the inside of the house or major roofing problems so I was okay waiting an extra week or two to get it done right the first time.

I'd definitely recommend Brown roofing to anyone who needs a roofing expert. Talk to Dean!

Brown roofing just completed a full re-roof for me. I received estimates from a few companies, most of which were pretty comparable. Brown was in the middle price-wise. I chose to go with Brown because I found Dean to be very informative and consultative throughout the process.
Often the cheapest companies will find a way to nickle and dime every bit of work beyond what the original estimated scope of work provided. Dean and Brown are not like that. While completing the work they noticed all kinds of things that were not apparent before the job started, and they fixed it all for me, and did so without going above the quote. They also did some other bigger things not originally quoted that I would have paid for, but they covered simply because this is a stand up company focused on quality.

The job itself took 3 days, which amazed me considering the size of my roof. Other companies estimated 7 days. Throughout the process they cleaned up everyday. I did not come home to any mess whatsoever during the construction process, and when the job was completed there was no debris whatsoever. They even left some extra tiles and told me if there is any storm damage or tile breakage for whatever reason to give them a call and they will swap it out for the duration of the warranty. Pretty awesome considering the warranty is meant to cover shoddy work, not damage do to natural causes or the neighborhood kid with a baseball.

I'm really thrilled with the work these guys did and I highly recommend.

May 3rd 2021 underlayment was replaced . Browns crew work well together. The yard was clean at the end of the day.. Effort was made to keep my gate closed so the dog did not get out.
They painted the eves and any replacement boards at no extra charge. Had to supply the paint. My drive way was cleaned for oil.
From start to finish it was a great experience working with Browns team.

Brown Roofing has completed 3 roofing projects for me over the years. The quality of their work is exceptional. The first project was on my primary residence a few years ago. My tile roof on my home was leaking profusely. And the rolled material on the patio was aged beyond serviceability as well. The new roofing was completely quickly and the product was better than new.

Craig and his crew just finished our roof a week ago, and things could not have gone smoother or more efficiently. Our neighborhood is now about 29 years old and most residents are having the tile removed and new underlayment installed.
Because my family owned a multi generational contracting business, I tend to be picky and cautious. In this case, we had 4 estimates - including contractors that had worked on our neighbors' homes.
Craig had been referred to me by my brother-in-law after doing a terrific job on their north Scottsdale combo flat-tile roof.
When Craig came out to meet us, it was clear immediately that he was more detailed and thorough. Some of the previous contractors simply stood in the front driveway and never even walked around the house or accessed our backyard.
As far as pricing, his estimate was right in the middle of the rest of the quotes that were offered to us. However, his quote Included a lot of small details that other contractors did not include in their work or even mention.

Craig's office manager (Debbie) was easy to communicate with and always responded promptly to any email or question.
When the work started, it was inevitably the day before a monsoon storm was predicted-and the efficiency of the crew was amazing. The underlayment was finished by the morning of the 2nd day as size of our crew suddenly doubled and the tile went on in a day .....beating the arrival of the late-day storm.
The smaller details were finished the 3rd day. (They even paint your fascia). And they left the yard cleaner than when they arrived.
Craig visited a few days later to check the job with my husband and answer any questions.
Only when you approve the work does he accept final payment.

July 2015: After having such a great experience last year when Mr. Brown did the main house roof, I contacted him to roof my backyard patio. May 2014 : Brown Roofing saved the day. I hired Brown Roofing shortly after a prior disaster. When I had an addition built to my house, the previous contractor incorrectly installed the roof over the new room and erroneously overlapped it with the existing roof. Days later we endured days of massive winds and rain causing the new roof as well as parts of the existing roof to fly off and land mostly in my backyard. Consequently, it rained in my garage, kitchen and other parts of my house causing sever water damage. Brown quickly came to the rescue. They temporarily covered the roof until the rains subsided and installed a new roof on the house and over the addition as soon as possible. During my crisis (I was in panic mode), Mr. Brown was patient with me, professional, and made me feel as if he cared about me and my house. He understood my needs and helped me choose a roof tile, color, and pattern that complimented my house style and color. I am very pleased with the results, and would highly recommend Brown Roofing. I've had my roof for over 5 years and have had no problems. I received quality workmanship, professionalism, and the estimated cost was on target. Brown roofing was one of 3 contractors I received bids from. They were reasonably priced and offered 2 layers of underlayment. From my researching 2 layers is always the way to go to increase the longevity of the new roof. Dean managed my job from start to finish superbly. When replacing the roof they went the extra mile including placing metal caps to protect the wood fascia and replacing and painting new bird stops. I know others who have had there roof done and these extra steps were not done. They also upgraded my underlayment to the better 40lb material at no extra cost. All the workers were well mannered and once the job was done the cleanup left no trace of them being there. Bottom line is we got our tile roof redone at a great price, but with top notch materials and service.

Craig Brown and his Crew of Craftsmen at Brown Roofing just took our weathered 36 year old Tile Roof from warped, worn out and sadly in need of repair to a sparkly, shiny and safe haven for us for many years to come.
They replaced old crumbling decking, supports, underlayment, battens and fascia as well as adding new drip panels, bird stops, flashing, etc. Resetting of the old roof tiles and adding in some new ones was an absolute act of artisanry by the Tile Crew. Craig even had our paint matched up and then they touched up all of the new lumber and vents to complete the job. We need to mention that the Crew cleaned the yard up after the end of each work day and even raked the xeriscape gravel for us on the final day.
Even though there were some unforeseen repairs made, our roofing work was completed for the all inclusive price Craig had originally quoted us.

I can't say enough good things about Brown Roofing. No, he was not the lowest quote of my 5 quotes. However, his quote was all inclusive. The other quotes I received were contingent on not finding any other problems after the roof was stripped. Craig Brown made me feel comfortable that the price quoted was the price I was going to pay. He took the time to walk me around my home pointing out exactly what he was doing, and was the only roofer who also explained WHY he was doing it (ex. Why he was replacing the whirlybirds with a ridge vent system). His crew arrived on time and got right to work. I was very impressed with the crew. Not only were they efficient in what they were doing, but many times throughout the day they cleaned the worksite, never letting it get messy. I had a very good experience with Craig Brown and his roofing company. He just did a complete replacement of the underlayment for my concrete tile roof. I chose him mostly for his straight forward, no-nonsense inspection / estimate / proposal. Great explanation of what he’d do, and how it was all a flat fee. No hidden extras for plywood or lumber. Job was scheduled for a month out, and they kept the agreed upon date. Job was done precisely in as much time as estimated. Job site was left clean each day, and cleaner than they originally found it on the last day. Workers did their work efficiently and were very friendly.

I don't think I could be any more impressed by the service I received from Brown Roofing. From start to finish, the job was done professionally. The yard was left spotless at the end of each day. Brown Roofing redid our roof in August. They were punctual and efficient, removing and reshingling my entire roof and covered patio in just over two days' work. The finished product looks great.

We bought a house with a flat roof that was in bad shape. We did a lot of research and had 3 companies come out to bid. One of our bids recommended a total new roof while Brown and another said the roof was in good enough shape that a recoat would be just fine and save a bundle. We went with Brown and they did a fantastic job. Dean explained a lot of details that made everything easy to understand. When the first tech came out to prep the roof he was also very helpful; we had a storm coming in and he helped me put a tarp over a shed that had a leaky roof (a project for another day.) Anyway, the pricing was fair and they did an outstanding job.

After obtaining bids from other roofers, I was delighted to meet with Craig, the owner of Brown Roofing, who impressed me with his knowledge and expertise in the roofing industry. It seems like Craig believes that just about everything above the fascia boards is his to repair, replace, or repaint. My fascia boards that were rotting out were replaced and repainted, as was my rain gutter where needed…all included in his initial price! Everything looks fresh and new.
One week after completion, we experienced two days of rain from Tropical Storm Rosa. Since we had the two layers of underlayment under the tile, we couldn’t even hear when it first started lightly raining. Once it came down heavy, we noted that the water was draining everywhere it was supposed to be draining off the roof and patio roof. Perfect timing to see what a great job this team did!

I received two other estimates that were just a bit higher, I called Craig up to let him know I wanted him to do the job. The roof was complete 1 1/2 weeks later. The job took two full days in the Phoenix heat in June (110 degrees). Craig the owner was there to oversee both days. A great experience all around and would recommend his company to anyone.

The decision process was not an easy one as we know you win some/lose some when you hire a new contractor for such an expensive project as a new roof. Fortunately, we made the right choice. We encountered some unforeseen problems in removing our old roof which cost Mr Brown and his four men an extra days work. Mr. Brown graciously bore this unanticipated expense without uttering so much as a word of complaint. The four days Mr.Brown and his men spent replacing our roof was a class act from start to finish. Great Company! Came out right after a monsoon that had left us with water throughout the house, came out to Gilbert to view, give quote, and start on the house all within the week. Ended up having to replace the whole roof (30 year old house with previous leak issues, so not too surprising) and came in way under the other quotes we had received and heard of through word of mouth. The roof was started and completed - including full clean up and walk through with owner - in less than 4 days. Friendly, honest, gave you the recommendation on what needed to be done without fluff or extra sell and did a fantastic job while being extremely reasonably priced. Can't recommend enough.

Brown was the lowest quote we got by a few thousand. I am not disapointed. We knew the roof was in bad shape because it hadn't been replaced since that big hail storm a few years ago (Farmers said storm damage wasn't covered) and it was mostly original to the 1991 construction. Not only was the work done great but the next week is when the hurricanes hit the valley. The roof performed flawlessly. He replaced 268 broken tiles and 4 rotted boards and didn't charge extra. I highly recommend Dean and his crew from Brown roofing. They offered a competitive quote compared to the two others I had received. These guys showed up exactly on time as we originally scheduled and finished the day they projected. The team left no mess behind and all were very professional and courteous throughout the whole process.

It’s so refreshing to do business with a company that actually does everything they say they’re going to do and then some. After giving us a honest assessment of our roof and educating us on some of our options. Then they showed up exactly when they said they were did a beautiful job on a roof and we’re finished exactly when they said they were going to be finished and they left my home cleaner and in better condition it was when they get there. I strongly recommend brown roofing.

Called and left voice mail messages on 10/22 at 10:20am and 3:30 on 10/23. On 10/24 I got a call back from Debbie who said they don’t do repairs/patching. I explained what our roofing issues were and let her know we likely need more than a “patch job” and so she said she would call me back after she got the schedule for next week. It’s now 10/28 and she still never called me back. I guess they don’t need the business.

We had Brown Roofing replace our roof, their service and work ethic is outstanding. Any questions or concerns were responded to immediately. We would recommend them as #1. Thanks Brown Roofing

He has his employees tarp off the roof to help..he hadn't had the contract yet but wanted to secure my roof...to help the situation..I did contract with Mr Brown and Brown Roofing...it was a good experience...I would recommend them

Very satisfied with the service I got from this company. The owner is very relatable and gave me discount. The owner’s crew are polite, professional, and they cleaned the area after they are done working.

Called to schedule a service appointment for my client. I was told the person scheduling was processing invoices and would call me back to schedule an appointment. No call...I called back and left a message to request a return call, no call yet. Just attempted to call them back and it went to voicemail.

Two stars because I did speak to a person and they were pleasent and professional, no more stars because it is not the customers job to hound the business to do work or follow up.

Looks like I am moving to the next company on the list. Had high hopes based on numerous reviews.

*Update...downgraded to 1 star. After no calls and the message this morning, within 3 minutes if leaving a review Debbie called me, said she was a little concerned with my review said she had invoices yesterday and phones were busy today. Interesting that as soon as the review was left I became a priority for her to call.

She also was audible unpleased, which I understand however, after giving an extra star for professionism, I removed one for the lack of the same reason.

Did call another company, answered on the second ring and scheduled me right away...very pleasent experience.

The craftsmanship of the repairs were exceptional and the roof never looked better! The price was right, the work was great and all the people involved were great to work with. Thanks to all!

I would give zero but I can't. I had an appointment scheduled for more than a week out. It was to be between 9am and 10 am. I was in the shower at 8;50 when he was apparently at my house. I was downstairs at 9am and called the office at 10;05am only to learn that he had been here already. I had no messages or missed calls to let me know. Disgusting customer service!!! Is 8;50am between 9am and 10am to you???
