I can not speak more highly about this company. I had three air conditioning units replaced. They were there when they said they would. When they arrived, they arrived in force. 6 trucks and 9 guys showed up. The were friendly and very helpful. The installed 3 huge unit in one day. They never stopped working. The crews were great and we are so happy with this company. I would never use anyone except NVM. Thank you to Kendra and her entire team. It is so nice to have someone you can trust and depend on. I contacted A & M Mechanical a couple years ago to have my A/C serviced after meeting Amy at a Greater Phoenix Chamber event. Mark came out a week or so later and gave my old (18+ yrs) unit a thorough inspection and cleaning. He was the most friendly and knowledgeable A/C person I've met. He probably could have convinced me to replace my system at that time, but was very honest and said there was nothing wrong with it that he could see, and I could probably get another few years of use until it finally just gives out from age.

I went another two years with the same unit until I decided to proactively replace it this past winter for peace of mind and energy savings. The entire process was great from start to finish. Amy was awesome on the quote and pricing stage and Mark and his team did a great job on installing the unit over the course of two days. They install American Standard systems, and while they are not the cheapest out there, they have a great reputation for dependability. The new system is so much quieter, and I imagine will save me big time when summer hits in a couple months.

To sum things up, if you're looking for a bargain-basement deal, then you should probably look elsewhere. However, if you want an honest, friendly, competitive, knowledgeable and professional experience then go with confidence and give A & M a call today!! Best of all, you'll be supporting a GPC member!

Preferred Air installed a new HVAC system in my house, a Bosch high-efficiency heat pump. I am very happy with it, and would recommend Preferred Air without hesitation. Their service was very professional and at a competitive price.

I had several HVAC contractors give me proposals to replace my air conditioning system, a Carrier system that was almost 20 years old. Preferred Air was the one that made me most comfortable that their solution met my needs and my budget. Daniel Hernandez was an excellent project coordinator. He went through my attic in great detail and listened to what I wanted for energy efficiency and cost. He made some suggestions, like replacing some of the ductwork with larger diameter ducts, to improve the comfort and noise of my existing AC system. I did not feel like he was trying to sell me a package, but rather that he was trying to offer me solutions that worked for my needs. The attention to detail and willingness to listen to the customer (me) were aspects that set Preferred Air's service apart from others.

Daniel was able to schedule work within a few weeks, and his crew did a great job to install the Bosch system, with a minimal impact to my family. The new system is very quiet --- previously it was not easy for someone to hear what I was saying when the air conditioning was on, unless I spoke up loudly or stood nearby, because of the sound of the air flowing through the ducts. Now the AC is quiet. I am looking forward to see how much I will be saving in energy costs this summer!

They only care about getting the $80 inspection fee. I called American home and water to check on a leak in the water softener installed by them. I knew the leak was from a pvc drain pipe behind the wall as the water was coming below the baseboard. The technician came and told me the same and without doing any work charged me $80. He said he doesn’t have all the tools to repair it and asked me to call the office to schedule an appointment to fix the broken pipe which he said will be another $500. This is a ripoff. They are simply trying to get the $80 without doing any work and quoting huge amounts which they know customer will not agree to. The technician could have scheduled the appointment himself but instead asked to call their office again. And who comes to work without tools?

Mears was very easy to schedule, and the technician who came out, RJ, was by far the best HVAC tech I've seen. I'll definitely ask for him by name next time I need something! Thank you!

Entire house drain system completely backed up and overflowed. We tried to have it fixed several times but it kept overflowing after several months of usage. This time several different plumber said the the drain pipes are too old and cracking and need to be replaced. Quote somewhere between >$3k for tiny section to more than $24k for the entire house. When Ron of Patrick Riley diagnosed the overflowed drain issue with his advanced camera/gps system, Ron determined that the root cause was actually outside external to the house and not inside where all the other plumber misdiagnosed the problem. Apparently the large tree that's been cut but the tree roots kept growing and it led to damaging the drain pipes and caused all the overflowing problems from all these times. We were so happy that Ron of Patrick Riley not only professionally repair our very old drain system but also bringing the system to code as he & his crew installed the clean-out. In the future we would confidently call Ron of Patrick Riley if there are any plumbing questions and/or service(s).
