Best Hvac Duct Work in Phoenix AZ

I'm a property manager and I use APES all the time for both my business and personal needs. Whether it's plumbing, air conditioning, or appliance repair, I have always been happy with their work. Their spirit of service and willingness to go the extra mile to make the customer happy is outstanding. A good example of this happened today. The washing machine at my house finally died after 14 years and Destry came out to take a look at it. He explained what he found and said it wasn't worth fixing. He took the time to write out a list of appliance brands from best to worst based on the what he's seen in the field. Thanks APES! I appreciate you making my life easier.

I’m writing about my experience with King Mechanical to save people from the expensive and frustrating mistake I made by hiring Frank Marquez and his company, King Mechanical, to install a new Trane AC unit at my home.

I paid King mechanical over +$5K cash to replace my AC unit. A contractor working outside heard the loud clattering noise the HVAC unit was making and commented that something was wrong with my brand new AC unit. The owner of King Mechanical, Frank Marquez, was called. Marquez said he would send someone to evaluate the banging noise in the new unit. One month later, King Mechanical had not sent a technician to my home or even contacted me about making an appointment. Multiple calls over multiple months with the same result. He would promise to evaluate the loud banging sound on my brand-new unit. Then he would not show up. By this time, I was upset. I had a faulty AC unit and was asking for a service call from the company that I paid a significant amount of money to install. King Mechanical would not even send a tech to check on the problem.

After 10 months of calling and texting without replies or responses from the owner of King Mechanical, I sent a certified letter. Only then was a repair tech sent out and he confirmed that the AC unit should not be making any noise as he heard. A month later, King Mechanical came out to “repair” my brand new AC unit.

A little over 4 months later I woke to a constant, loud banging sound while the unit was running. I went outside and recorded a video and sent it to the owner, Frank Marquez. Something had broken loose and was banging around inside the unit. This is in the middle of the Arizona summer with 115-degree heat. (see video)

Marquez’s response? “I’m booked out for 2 days. I can't drop everything for you”. What? In the text exchange, he repeated that he takes care of his customers and he stands behind his manufacturers.

Two days later at 2 am the unit completely exploded. I had no AC with a house full of kids. He stopped responding at all.

I reported him to the Contractors board. By the way, an inspection by the Contractors' Board takes 3 to 4 weeks. I obviously couldn't live with a broken AC unit in August in Phoenix that long. I had to pay a second HVAC company $2000 to repair the faulty AC unit installed and the substandard repair work performed by King Mechanical and Frank Marquez.

The Contractor Board inspector said he couldn't evaluate King Mechanical's work because of the emergency repair work. Frank then told me he wouldn't honor any warranty for the unit he installed. What a shock! I guess he felt more confident he wouldn't get in trouble for his shoddy install and repair.

The most troubling part of hiring King Mechanical to install the HVAC unit in my Phoenix home is that throughout this whole ordeal, the owner of King Mechanical had no feelings of obligation to the new HVAC unit he installed or the damage his repair caused. King Mechanical would not even schedule an emergency repair when his AC unit completely broke down. He knew I had 4 children in my home in the sweltering heat of summer. He wouldn't return my texts or calls. ( see video)

I expected a reliable AC unit and a company who stands behind their product and their service. Arizona has many HVAC companies that place quality products, provide quality service to their customers after they get paid. These companies make AC repairs that will not destroy the AC unit. King Mechanical is NOT one of these companies. When my King Mechanical AC install did not go right, the owner would not make it right. When the AC unit broke down, he would not help. In fact, the owner of King Mechanical NEVER responded unless he thought he was going to get in trouble.

Frank Marquez will take your money and disappear. King Mechanical does not stand behind its workmanship. Do not make the expensive mistake of hiring King Mechanical for HVAC repair and AC installation in Phoenix.

And before the heat got too bad. He did a great job explaining. And going over options. And made short work of the issue we were having. I could tell he was recommending what was best for us. My a/c stopped working and Lilcoln Air & Plumbing did an outstanding job from the time I called, until the end of the service. They were able to come to my house the day after I called them which was huge being that no a/c in Arizona is quite miserable. Jeff B was my technician and he was amazing! He did a great job of explaining what was going on, why it was happening, and the next steps he would take. He was very honest and upfront with me throughout the entire process, including informing me of the cost of his services BEFORE he did anything. There was a lot wrong with my a/c unit, but he was able to fix it and make it good as new! I am very pleased with my experience with both Lincoln Air & Plumbing and my technician, Jeff. Highly recommend!

I’ve been using ACE for a couple years now and they’re always professional and reliable. Joshua was a great communicator, listened and answered all my questions. He made sure the job was done right.

The plenum fans this company manufactures are superb in several respects. All the bathrooms in my house have a Baikal Mechanical exhaust fan now. I no longer worry about air circulation issues, poor air quality, mold growth, etc. because of these fans. What a great buy!

They came out for a complete system maintenance, and found some things that the last company didn't get right. Everything is good for the summer!

Worst A/C company I have ever come in contact with. Unfortunately my home warranty “assigned” me to them. First problem- they never called me after being told they would call to set up the appointment. After getting a tech to the house, he wandered inside acting as if he didn’t know what to do. Then he went outside to look at the unit. He took a bunch of parts out and said he didn’t have the part, they would be in contact. This was on a Tuesday. By Thursday, the office called and said they had the part and he would come out to install the following day. He showed up on Friday saying “ I don’t have the part to fix it.” He went to the outside unit, and left without saying anything. I tracked him down on his cell phone. I asked “where are you.” He replied, “ driving around Phoenix looking for your part.” I couldn't believe I had been told they had the part and were coming to install it. (This is PHOENIX in the SUMMER)
I told him to not come back. I called another repair company. They were sympathetic, got a technician out the next day, and fixed the A/C.
My home warranty company One Guard would only reimburse me at what this loser company said would cost to fix it. They were wrong. Once the new motor was installed, the unit was running to many amps and had to be fixed, therefore costing more. One guard would not reimburse me.
Stay away from Sun-tech!

Monsoon hit my personal life with a vengeance! 1. I was robbed, 2. car required parts from GERMANY before repairs could be completed, 3. Chemo therapy ended only to begin a 'newer' option for which the insurance company needed convincing, 3. Colonoscopy ... uh y e a h.

NUMBER FOUR ... HVAC quit during a Thursday night, right? Called the only repair company I ever used ~ this is one of three homes in this circle: Howard Air.

A sra maybe a worker perhaps owner, alleges that one can not park the vehicle in front of this property because they cover your ad looking for where you do not want to park Station that affects your business.

I had to edit my review. The one good thing I can say is they got the work done quickly. They replaced a 200 amp main breaker. They charged $2500 to do the work. I asked for an itemized invoice, they never responded. The most expensive 200 amp main breaker I could find on the net was $500. so I guess I paid a little under $2000. for labor for a few hours work. The person that came to my house was very unprofessional, because I had to move some money from one account to another, and it took me ten minutes or so. Meanwhile he tells the person living in the house, my tenant that if I can't pay, he's going to have to take the part out. I waited for him to call back for 5 minutes like I told him to. When he didn't, I called the office and paid them. He called back a few minutes later, when I said I had paid the office. He acted like he didn't believe me and said if I hadn't he was going to have to take the part out. The main slogan in one of there and campaigns is they don't hire any Melvin's. This person was very much a Melvin to me. Don't hire them, you'll get Melvinized.
