My A/C units were acting funny and when I ran the upstairs circulation fan I smelled something that smelled hot'. I called Hays this morning, not expecting an appointment for several days because of the Independence Day holiday. They found a slot for me and Dominique was here at 1:30. One of the units was low on Freon and the circulation fan had burned out and needed replacement. By the time he climbed into the attic the outside temperature had climbed to 108. He made no complaints, filled the Freon, had a replacement fan on his truck. he was here until after 6 this evening. He was pleasant, polite, knowledgable, and I have every confidence in the quality of his repairs.

Feared the worse, but hoped for the best and found it!!! We had an issue with draining from our bathrooms tub and shower, and dreaded the thought of what a 50 yo house might throw at us. Update -- Aug 24, 2022. Last month, the softener shut-off valve sprang a leak. It was a bad one, appearing to spray strongly from the intake connection to that valve assembly. Luckily, the Hobaica after-hours tech Ian verbally walked me through disconnecting the system altogether until the unit could be troubleshooted. Our house no longer had soft water for about a month until a new part was sent by Rheem, the manufacturer. Hobaica at the time offered to replace the valve for the $69 house call when the part came in, which it finally did last week. Upon calling them, they no longer honored that offer. Luckily, a plumber friend came over yesterday and reinstalled the new part and the softener is working perfectly. He even discovered why the original failed: a simple O-ring had been poorly installed in the initial installation, pinched by the assembly, and ultimately failed catastrophically. I mentioned earlier that Hobaica is Phoenix’s most accountable plumbing + heating + AC company, but now I am changing my impression. While professional, they are always quoting prices that are 150% higher than the going rate, and I typically get 4-6 quotes. I previously mentioned Travis Vanau as one of the best professionals in plumbing, but I have now had a change of heart. Yes, sometimes you have to pay more for higher quality, but if the workmanship fails in the first year, what does that say about quality? I'm a loyal customer, having Hobaica install our new AC and heating system, and several other projects. Not once have they thanked me for the review I gave last year which resulted in 4000+ positive reviews. And now that I have had an issue with their work, and the challenge of getting it addressed, I'm reconsidering my positive review. Please be extra cautious in hiring this company.

It is so nice to deal with a company so family oriented. Everyone I spoke to was very helpful. I had occasion to speak to Kira, Melany and Crystal each were very helpful and got results.

Next Jeff came to our home and he was very polite and engaging, answered the hundred questions we asked and had no problem leaving a quote. We were very impressed about the company at that point simply that everyone we spoke to was very honest and direct.

We interviewed 6 companies but felt more comfortable with Jeff at Desert Diamond so we hired them to replace our old A/C. Next the installers David and Kadence got the job done so quickly we were amazed. They had some challenges with our old home but the workmanship is superb.

Mathew made a quick visit to our home right after installation because there was a fan that was not quite right the way it came from the factory. The team worked together with the challenges and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Man it is nice to deal with a Company that gives such excellent Customer Service. We look forward to having DESERT DIAMOND A/C Service the rest of our lives.

Moises was a great Tech. My AC needed maintenance and he was able to come out the same day and took care of the issue. He was honest and said it only needed coolant. Other techs end up telling you it needs this it needs that and only want your $$$. Moises was very honest and did a great job. Highly recommended his services.

Had cactus mechanical replace my complete HVAC system when the A/C failed about 1.5 years ago. Was pleased with the knowledgeable employees from the person who assessed my house to the installers of all the components. The person who assessed my house actually found out that my A/C units tonnage was wrong for the size house I own.

Fast forward to the current date, while in my attic I noticed a hose that was not correctly installed when it was replaced. I called Cactus Mechanical and they came out the next day. They noticed the same discrepancy from the install and fixed the problem with no charge. Now I know what you may be thinking. They should've definitely, with no question, fix the problem with no charge; I thought that as well. But the fact that it was 1.5 years after the install could've gave an unfair company enough reason to not fix the problem free of charge. The fact that they did makes them good in my book.

Recommended by my in-laws after a bad experience with another company (Mr. Rooter). This was a assumed that be a simple repair (replacement of a bathtub spout/diverter because the shower was not working). Mr. Rooter claimed that the shower valve needed replaced ($800), but before that could happen, a water filtration system/soft water loop needed to be installed in order to rid the plumbing lines of the calcium scale build-up ($2000) which without would render the replacement valve useless.The Day and Night technician was on-time, professional and diagnosed the true root issue immediately. He determined and proved that all that needed to be done was replacing the bathtub spout/diverter assembly in order to restore shower function. He even went to Home Depot to get the right assembly! From start-to-finish, the whole job took about an hour (including Home Depot time) and the shower works like a charm. The repair cost was extremely reasonable, especially considering what the other guys were trying to soak me for! Cannot say enough good about this company and will definitely call them again for any future plumbing needs. Thanks a million Day and Night Air Conditioning/Plumbing!!!!!!!
