If you are reading this then you are here for the same reason I was. To find a plumber that you can trust that will really look at the issue and give you a fair price. I read the other reviews and called. First responsiveness I called at around 4:45 after my husband did some digging and we were not able to figure out exactly what to do and did not want to take a chance making it worse. When I called taking to Jennifer and Jess with it being so late said the next day would be best, which we were totally fine with, they allowed me to send pictures over and while I was sending the pictures over Joe was in the background and said let us come by and take a quick look - they came by that Evening within like 30 mins. First HUGE bonus just to know it was looked at - showed us immediately what the issue was and said they would back in the morning. Joe and Gilbert came out in the morning and within and hour and half they had us up and working - the price was so fair and they were very transparent. Used the best and updated parts. I am so happy I trusted the reviews and they showed their caliber not only actions but in follow up and response time they are truly top notch. HIGHLY recommend and will use again and again. I absolutely had the best service by Jon Jon and Pedro and by the big bosses who gave us a free estimate. We called on a weekday at 8 am and they came to our house at 9 am same day to give us the free estimate and gave us the right amount of info and a great quote. They offer many warranties as well. We decided to use them and made an appointment quickly. They cleaned up all their mess and was careful to keep an eye out on our dog as she wanted to go outside. I’m very happy with City Base Plumbing and I know others will, too.

Needed to have commode replaced during Labor Day weekend. Other vendors did not even bother to have a message stating they were closed nor did we receive a callback from others. Joseph was dispatched and arrived within an hour. He was polite, explained the benefits and payoffs, and advised a repair would have sufficed but he complied with our request to replace. Joseph was very courteous, respectful and left no trace. He was cooperative, masked, and wore shoe covers as well.

This company was recommended to my neighbor. Fernando was able to fit me in between his appointment. I had a water leak that could have turn into a huge water bill. I truly appreciate Fernando prompt and courteous service. He got the job done quick. I would use this company again for other plumbing issues.

Quick, clear, and comprehensive

Chris and Camden arrived at my Mom's house and did a phenomenal job of installing our new water heater. They took me step by step on what they were going to do and also what they did after the job was done. They were clean and tidy with their work space and left it looking great. The job came in under budget compared to other companies that would have gouged my Mom and at this current time with everything going on it was greatly appreciated. After two weeks of not getting hot water in my house because of a previous plumber we got Chavarria’s plumbing to come out. Nathan was very professional and nice throughout the hot water heater replacement. They treat your home with respect and will not leave until the job is done. Chavarria’s Plumbing will be our go to plumber from now on!

I was told that there would be a free estimate of the work to be done and that they did not charge extra for weekends. After 10 minutes the plumber told me he would give me an estimat to trouble shoot my problem not an estimate for the repIr. The estimate for the estimate was 227.00. After 15 minutes he told me I needed a new water heater.if I waited til Monday the job would be $1300, labor and water heater. If I bought my own wAter heater Home Depot the labor would be 800.00. We purchased the water heater for 475.00 and 1 1/2 hours later the wAter heater was installed. I asked him to fix a drippingFaucet which took about 20 minutes. From the time he drove through our gate till he left was exactly 4 hrs.. This included the time he took to write 2 estimates and the 45 minutes I took for us to go and purchase a water heAter. After the 1 1/2 hour installation I began to question the $800.00 fee plus the $227.00 for the diagnosis. He took $100.00 off the total leaving us with a totAl of $997.00 for 4 hours, this means we paid $224.00 an hour. So much for no extra for weekends. The average rate For. Plumbers in San Antonio is 62.00 -75.00 per hour. On Monday I called the company to protest the charge based on the fact that the estimate should have been free and that they were charging a rate that far exceeded that of the area. They told me they do not charge by the hour but by the job. After much pleading they took off the $227.00 charge for diagnosising the problem. In the end I only paid $186.00 an hour. So much for no extra for weekends. I paid 75.00 an hr. x 2.5. Buyer beware. I will never call them again.

Such a great experience! They were so professional and wonderful to work with. I needed a shower repair the same day because my husband was in the hospital and I had family staying with me. I worked with Miguel from their office and he worked hard to make it happen. Thomas came to our house as his last appointment of the day. He picked up a part that we needed, waited for me to come back from Home Depot with the new shower faucet, shower head and bathtub spout and stayed until about 7:30pm to finish installing everything. Super nice, great communication and they went above and beyond for me when I really needed them. I will always call them for any future plumbing needs. They were the best!!!
