Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

My repair and the plumber who completed the repair was great! Very professional and completed the repair. (Picture to follow)What I had an issue with was when I was contacted after I had already made the appointment. After the gentleman asked what my issue was, he then proceeded to tell me that the plumber was already on his last job and would not be available until the following day. I was told the plumbing dept is not open 24 hours as what was advertised on the internet. What the original dispatcher failed to tell me is that the plumbing department closes around 9 and should have informed me of that so I could move onto the next call to search for another plumber because my issue was an emergency and could not wait. After I got a little heated and expressed that, I was told he would make a call out and see if the plumber could make it. I received the call back and was advised the plumber would be able to make it out to my house. When I asked the plumber about them closing, he stated they were not and that he had the late shift that night. Why I was given such a hard time..who knows!!

Mike was awesome! We were curious, so he explained everything to us. Super friendly and professional. I highly recommend. The day was a crazy day for plumbing emergencies, but Roto-Rooter still came out.

Michael Angelo was awesome! He showed up on time, was friendly, and explained the repairs in a way that I could understand. He fixed some shoddy work that another company did beforehand. I loved being able to book same-day appointment online. I was very impressed and will definitely use you guys in the future!

The service was outstanding and greatly appreciate the prompt response as this was an urgent issue with my upstairs toilet that overflowed. They came same day and stayed until the job was complete. Did great work and will continue to utilize their service next time.

Please be very careful when working with Roto-Rooter. I wanted a quote to replace my galvanized pipes and they gave me a quote that was quite extreme of 19k. A second company came onsite and confirmed that I didn't actually have any galvanized pipes connected to the system. Possibly because they spent more than five minutes looking at the issue. I also asked them to check my sewer line and the supervisor was more helpful and allowed me to look into the sewer line for free. This review does not go towards the supervisor, he quoted me 8k and the other company confirmed that the sewer line issue was real. I was also charged a fee of $100 for the tech to come out and check the plumbing incorrectly for 10 minutes.

I had two plumbing issues within a one week period. The first issue was a leaky faucet in my bathroom and the second issue was a clogged up drain in my kitchen. Both technicians that came out were extremely proficient at their job and had a great attitude. I feel the fee for service was very fair and I’ll definitely call on them again.

After going with two previous plumbers who could not provide me a clear and concise answer to what the issue with my sewage line was, we decided to go with professionals. Insert Roto-Rooter, what amazing and professional service. They provided clear feedback and also sat through the insurance claim process. If I ever encounter a plumbing issue I will call them once again.

Very expensive. Charged $474 to replace a non-emergency repair of leaky outdoor faucet. I would shop and get price estimate before visit since they charge $90 just for visit to estimate. I will not consider Roto-Rooter again if they will not do over phone estimate prior to visit.

Joseph was AWESOME!!! He was very quick to respond and solve my problem! Very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be calling him back for any further plumbing needs.

Unbelievable, will NOT recommend and will TELL everyone to stay clear from this company. First off, I went online and submitted a job order and time. They never came out nor reaches out, I had to call them and see the status. Then the guy comes out and tries to charge me $430 to snake our kitchen sink, I went and told my husband about it and that it was too much. My husband goes in there to talk to him and the guy says, okay how much are you thinking. My husband said $200 (even though that was too much too) . The guys said yes and got it done. Unbelievable, do NOT hire them. Ripping people off, unprofessional, just trash company. Becuase I'm a woman, I get ripped off?

We had a plumbing leak behind the wall in the kitchen sink area and it was repaired promptly and professionally, then they came in and did demolition in the whole kitchen area and part of the floor then installed fans for water restoration.They cleaned up everything they demolished and removed everything. And we are just waiting for them to come back and finish up everything they use to restore the damage.

Very expensive for the level of service provided. They were very responsive but didn't really address the issue. Pool pump pressure and water flow was still the same and basket continued to float. We ended up solving issue ourselves. Very disappointed with service.

I had a water line leak in my front yard. Joseph and Turner arrived on time and were very know knowledgeable and professional. They explained what was needed and why it was needed and they remained late in the evening until the leak was repaired.

Can't speak highly enough of Roto-Rooter! We had multiple people from their team come out to the house to help with different things - everyone was SO kind and SO knowledgable. We won't call anyone else for plumping. Highly recommend!

They over charged me $565 just to replace the hot and cold lines then told me it would be $250 to ad a pipe for the shower that was leaking.Not happy at all.I had even bought some parts and they took them with them because their not aloud to use them anymore.

Knew they had me over a barrel, charged huge fee with promise of follow up inspection, but follow up never came. When challenged they basically said “sorry it’s a flat rate” and washed their hands. Avoid at all costs.

It more than e0 hrs to get serive. I was had no water supply during that time. It took at least 6 calls before a serviceman to get to my ho.e. The servicemen were quick and efficient. The office staff were less than professional in regards to getting service to me.

After work was performed and a final invoice was presented I was told the service fee would be credited back .however after the tech left and I made my payment by Discover card I saw that the invoice did not reflect the service credit. A manager did call me to tell me that he understood and was going to have that credit restored back to my Discovercard but that has not happened and it’s been four days. I’m hoping it’s just a timing issue. Can someone follow up?

It was okay but the tech told me what was wrong. Suggested I purchase another faucet. I wanted to know if this can be repaired.

If anybody did show up, they refused to do any of the needed work with one cursory inspection and no good explanation besides price.

Our outside pipe was plugged. Gave Roto a fight but he did not stop. He fought back and knocked the plug out. He fixed my system. Thank you sir.

Work was performed at our house by Johnny Garcia yesterday. John changed out all of our shut off valves, installed facets and water lines. He was at out home the entire day. Marcos and his team were exceptional! They were super friendly, professional, and informative. They worked around my schedule and came to check on the progress daily. The only reason I gave 4 not 5 stars was because of the cost of the plumber. Several people told me that I paid several times the amount of what the bill should have been. Overall I’m satisfied with the service I received, however I wish I would have known that I was going to pay more than my monthly mortgage to repair my toilet.

Our technician Brian came out to check our toilet problem and was very helpful throughout the entire process. Brian was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to provide me with an appropriate response to all my questions and was able to fix the problem. Here is hoping i don't have any other plumbing concerns but in the future I will make sure to use them and ask for Brian.

The professional that came out to take care of our issue was David S. He was very courteous and extremely professional. I appreciate that he explained exactly what he was going to do and what to expect. After unclogging our line from the clean out to the septic tank, he came to me and took the time to show me with the camera and explain exactly what the issue was. I was very impressed with him and the issue was taken care of within a couple of hours of me calling them. I would definitely recommend and will use them again if we ever have any other issues.

I needed a plumber to unclog the toilet in my bedroom. I was sick of using a plunger!! I Googled plumber and Rotorooter came up first. They sent a wonderful plumber, Dave S, out to me and he fixed the problem within 5 minutes. I also got 75 bucks off for donating canned food. Can't beat that! They were responsive to me the whole time, sending text messages and letting me know the status of his arrival. Great service, great price, will definitely use again and definitely recommend.

Needed to have commode replaced during Labor Day weekend. Other vendors did not even bother to have a message stating they were closed nor did we receive a callback from others. Joseph was dispatched and arrived within an hour. He was polite, explained the benefits and payoffs, and advised a repair would have sufficed but he complied with our request to replace. Joseph was very courteous, respectful and left no trace. He was cooperative, masked, and wore shoe covers as well.

The plumber, Brian Bell, was professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything in good detail and he took the time to answer our questions. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the cost. Their rates seem pretty high but we were very satisfied with the professionalism of Mr. Bell.

Amazing service!After requesting a service online, the response was very quick. I received a call back no later that 20 minutes and 30 minutes later David showed up to make the work needed. I called many plumbing companies from an issue that happened late at night. Roto Rooter was the only one I was able to actually speak to someone. They booked me as fast as they could. Brian Bell was the master plumber that came by and he resolved the issue very quickly. He was very knowledgeable and walked me through everything. Recently purchased a house that had been flipped. The master bathtub always started with rust colored water. We were concerned it was a major issue, they came out and quickly identified it was just the nipple and had it resolved right away! Friendly service

Fernando came out on a Saturday to install a water heater expansion tank and to replace a high pressure regulator valve. Fernando accurately diagnosed the plumbing issues and provided me with with my options and estimates. The labor cost was $500 less than other plumbing companies. Fernando took his time when performing the work and even went out of his way to instruct and explain the process. I would highly recommend Fernando and/or Roto-Rooter to anyone looking for a plumbing issue done right with a fair price. Thanks for a job well done!!

I have used Roto-Rooter in the past and have been very satisfied. Recently, I had a serious water leak and needed a plumber ASAP. A supervisor, Oliver, came within 30 minutes of my initial call. He was kind, polite, and confident they could fix my leak. Unfortunately, there were no technicians available until the next day so I decided to go with another company. I'm writing this as a review of past services and the prompt response to my call this time. They will certainly be the company I continue to call when I need plumbing services again in the future.

Chris and Rudy came out today and right away showed me the the issue with my soft water system. They took the time to explain to me the system I have and the one that is required for the size of my home. I really did appreciate their honesty and I look forward to doing business with them again in the near future.

Earnest, the technician/plumber was exceptionally knowledgeable with his ability to diagnose the problem with my water heater. Ultimately it’s going to need to be replaced and he may be doing that work next. Today, he diagnosed the problem and showed me where the drain lines were And educated me about some need for water restoration and showed me where. I had called Roto Rooter because our water was not draining properly and about to overflow. They came out during the window of time that was estimated and went over costs and the process. It took some time but Dustin Gutierrez and his teammate were able to get the issue solved and gave me tips on how to prevent and keep the pipes clean. It was a bit pricey but the 6 month warranty made it worth it.Thank you!

Called after having talked to three other plumbers, told them we needed our whole house re-piped. Right away did not believe me. Came to do an estimate, gave us a $3k estimate for ALL pipe to be replaced. Came to do the work, finished in 3 hours and only replaced 5 feet of pipe instead of 35 feet. Still charged us $3000. Called afterwards and the master plumber admitted to STEALING at least $300 from us on parts. (The plumber who came out charged us for more than what the parts costed to make the quote even though they did less work.) very unsatisfied. This was in May, here we are in October having to redo our whole pipes again. We just want our money back and for others to beware. Please check your invoice and make sure they are charging right and doing the work they promised.

i own a car wash and i had 3 wash bays that constantly fill up with water. i would remove the drain to clean them but they had no trash, debris or mud to cause the clogging. i knew i needed professional help.right away a tech came out to my car wash. david was so helpful and within minutes was able to give me a quote. after doing the work, he let me know about their 30 day guarantee!first time for me to use roto rooter. i thought they would be super expensive but honestly i am super happy with my overall experience with them and their employee david!i am one happy customer.... now it is time for me to make some money with ALL OF MY WASH BAYS!!!

Had great service today with David S. He arrived promptly and took care of the problem. I got to see the blockage via the scope camera and he was able to blow the pipe completely clear. Very knowledgeable and polite. He maintained all the recommended COVID-19 protections and distancing. Will definitely call again if needed in the future.

David S. and the other service technicians at Roto-Rooter have helped with any of our plumbing problems we have had at our house. They have been very thorough in explaining what is wrong and what needs to be done to fix the issue.

I always call Roto Rooter for my issues but never again. I called to schedule an appointment they informed me I would have a same day appointment with the time frame between 2-6. At 7:15 I get a call saying they will not send anyone out and I will have to wait till tomorrow. I was very upset and disappointed horrible customer service, if you schedule an appointment and I cleared everything I had going on to make sure I am available I expect to be assisted. Luckily another company earned by business and was able to assist me today.

Rafael was right on time in the given window and was wearing PPE as described on the website. He quickly got to work and showed me exactly what the issue was and how he repaired it. Very quick and efficient service.

I called ROTO Rooter for plumbing issues after calling a couple of other companies who claimed to be 24/7 and they were the only ones willing to come out. Dustin G. came out late in the evening on a Sunday to help me with my plumbing issue. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable and efficient but was an absolute pleasure despite it being late on a Sunday. I cannot express how pleased I was with the service I received. I would recommend them without hesitation and specifically Dustin.

Brian was amazing…he arrived early and was very professional and quick. He unclogged the toilet in less than 5 minutes. He even went the extra mile and adjusted my toilet flow to improve future flushing. Wow is all I can say!

Our main line had backed up causing us to lose the use of our washing machine, garbage disposal and dishwasher. David and Sal were wonderful! They arrived same-day in the scheduled window, they were very friendly, and they are extremely knowledgeable. More importantly, they shared what they were doing and why. The plumbing techs were professional, followed good COVID practices, and they got everything taken care quickly. My only complaint has nothing to do with their service. The cost was way more than what I was expecting. But I’m sure the cost would be similar regardless of the company doing the work.

George and Jose came out and spent about 5 hours locating and fixing my water main leak in the front yard. Lots of fun hanging out with these guys while they did they work; the back breaking work. By the time they found the leak it was four feet down and 10 feet from where the water was coming out of the ground.Working through the rain and the humidity they got it done and look forward to working with them the next time the need arises.

This will be my 3rd edit. I actually deleted 1st post, should have kept. From bad to good( with hope) to horrible. I previously complained about feeling cheated with no answers about my issues. (Toilet water raising while washer or sink was running on rinse). I was told told someone would come out to run camera for free, since it has not been ran through with the first visit. I was also told I would get a refund as well. I didn’t ask for it but they did felt it was the right thing. I was told what the issue was. Which put me at ease. Let’s just say. I was told it would take two weeks for refund. And if nothing to call them back. I waited four weeks. Called and called and left messages. Different departments. For what? No one calls back. Finally Someone calls back. Someone who told me about the refund. Was told due to COVID things were taking long. Wait another two weeks. Ok. I waited patiently again. 3-4 weeks. Nothing. I’ve called again. My last call and message was around the 4th or 5th time The second Time around. My last too. I felt like I was harassing them because I can’t get a darn call back. Also, I did Call a different manger, he told me to text him because he was busy. So I text as he requested.NOTHING. Again no one knows how to call back. At least acknowledge that the message was received. Damn. My last call. I finally get a call back from a new manager. Stating he will contact the person who did discuss and arrange my refund. Again. NOTHING. I’m tired of waiting. I’m sure someone knows what’s going on and passing the buck. I’ve been patient on what has been Over 3 months now!!! I’ve lost my patience. I did not name drop but I’m more than positive this is will be seen as my final straw. It’s obvious that my review was deleted and changed for the sake of their company. I get it. Bread and butter. But I deserve a response from anyone!! Someone!! Cause all those departments I’ve called and reached out to, are worthless. Should I name drop? Yes. But I will not. All I know is I’ve been cheated before. And definitely cheated again. I did not ask for anything. It was offered to me, so I accepted it as a token. Funny how it works out. I was contacted by Steve, excavation manager at the branch to discus what can be done to Improve my experience. I did explain my concerns, experience and expectations. Steve and his team made matters better by visiting my house to assist and diagnose the problem with a camera, which made my understanding a whole lot better. All I wanted from the start was communication and knowledge of what was going on With my plumbing. And I got just that. I called late in the evening and made an appointment for the following morning to repair my clogged kitchen sink. They showed by 9:30 ready to work. They didn't just clean the P-trap, they used an industrial snake to clean 70 feet of pipe to insure great water flow and flushed some cleaning solution thru the pipes as well. I gave 4 stars because it was costly ( but worth it ), service was a 5

Had a sewer back up issue and called roto rooter. I should have called around first. First person out was very helpful and official looking. Great attitude and pleasant to speak with. Was not able to solve my issue that night and called a supervisor to come out and get to the bottom of things. From there on, it was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Started out with a lie from a supervisor telling me he spoke to my wife about showing up the following morning. She never once spoke with him so I should have known who I was dealing with at that point. From there on, he said how he was going to do something and then never delivered. Once the work started, roto rooter was not the ones doing it, instead they hired some of the worst contractors to come out and leave a messy work place of me and the neighbors yard. Left old sewer boards and concrete wire exposed in the driveway with no intention of making it right. Most of the contractors spoke zero English and were not able to even tell me what they were doing. Different crew every day, again, not roto rooter employees. 8 days later, I just wanted to pay the bill to get it all over with! I will NEVER RECCOMEND this company in San Antonio TX. Go with a local owned company and get it done right by people that care about the work they do, not contractors that just get paid for day labor. 12.6k later, expensive lesson learned!!!

When I place the call to Roto-Rooter to get a person out within the hour in fact 30 minutes they were here the young man notice something else it was wrong and I authorize him to fix that as well and he did very well to get everything going I thank him and I will use Roto-Rooter every time I have a plumbing problem and Johnny was fantastic

Johnny Garcia was a professional. He walked through and assessed what was needed, explained the process and implications. He provided me with a reasonable quote and fixed our disposal and the leak from the main valve coming into the house. He upgraded the PVC piping to a more durable brass and silicone infrastructure. He was very cautious to be clean after digging up the front yard.

My experience with Roto Rooter was good but the plumber Brian made my experience exceptional. Brian went far above any expectations I had. He went out of his way to help me solve a nightmare plumbing issue I was having in the middle of a major remodel. I had already gone through several unreliable and sketchy plumbers and contractors before calling Roto Rooter and meeting Brian. He and his partner Rony were the first people I worked with in the remodeling process that genuinely cared and made sure all the work was done right! They followed up on their work and clearly took pride in what in what they do. I only wish I had found them sooner! I would have saved a lot of money and time!

Very expensive. I removed all the parts from the shower so the only thing the guy had to do was to remove the cartridge and put one in. He charge me $250 for labor and $40 for the part.

David was patient and really helpful. He kept me informed for the timeline and time it would take to complete the project. Will highly recomment.

Extremely polite and courteous. They explained their intentions before doing anything. Also, my son has Autism and they were very accommodating with giving me a heads up before doing anything loud so that I could make sure my son was ready.

He was very professional and very quick to identify what the issue was as we explained the issue. As soon as he told us what it was he got to work by having to drain the main pipe to clear the clog. Took maybe 10 minutes. Very fast, friendly, and very reliable.

First of all you showed up on time which is very important. The knew what they were doing. They listen to. They use the right methods to try and get rid of the blockage. When the first attempt didn't work they said they would try something else and would not charge today. After a while the blockage went away and they made sure that it wasn't just temporary by running 300 pounds of water through the clean out. They weren't rushed to get to the next job even though they had been up all night with a job previously till 5 in the morning. Would definitely use them for myself and other clients. Both men were very pleasant.

The final team Johnny and his trainee ( yikes I am sorry I forgot your name!!) that came to my house was awesome!! They politely listened to me go through the hassle and drama that I had been dealing with to get what I thought (and 2 previous technicians told me I had) was a clogged drain. Turns out I just had an old toilet that just couldn’t push water through anymore. Once the true issue was discovered, they went right to work and I know have a brand new toilet that will hopefully give me years of trouble free use.

Ok the middle of the winter weather we've been having, one of my tub faucets would not turn off the water. In addition there's no access to an emergency turn off valve. Chris came out, evaluated the problem, discussed my options and costs. Then provide me periodic update during the 2.5hr service, to show me the opportunity to make the best decision possible for my needs and finances.

The guy that came on the original work order did not fix the problem, and led me on to believe it was repaired and draining fine. It was not repaired. Earnest came on the second visit and fixed the clogged drain effectively and professionally. I wish Earnest was the tech that came out originally!

Jesse and donold were amazing. Roto sens someone thebday bedore and he was unabke to get our clog out. He was friendly but seemed in a hurry. Today jesse and Donald came by and were unable to find our backflow and said all they could try was to run the auger threw the line again and try for the main line. Muraculusly they were able to get it in the mainline and declog our plumbing. They were also very nice and funny, would recommend these two guys again. They work great as a team.
