At first the experience with this company was good. They gave us a fair price for gas water heater installation. They came out 2 hours later than quoted. The job took at least 4 hours to complete. Brandon kept leaving to get more supplies and took a piece of our siding off which we noticed after the fact. We had contacted Mai Vu for a plumbing estimate which we where charged 89.99$ for a service call which we where told that it could be put towards repairs.We thought we where having issues with our water heater on a Sunday & they sent Tommy out within an hour the service call was 150$ which wasn't disclosed til the next day.

Miguel contacted me within a few hours after submitting my THD on-line installation request. Then Tommy expertly installed a self-purchased pressure reducer valve & ball valve for us at minimal cost/time. Sometimes we may wonder why things seem to go awry all at the same time. We had an old hot water heater break. We had another company come out and try to charge us $2690.00 for the most basic heater replacement. I decided to give Home.Depot online installation service a try. They arranged for MAI VU PLUMBING to do an install. It was super super easy, on-time, and best of all, much much cheaper for a better unit ($1350.00 total BEFORE a military discount!!!). They went to Home Depot, figured out which unit I needed for the replacement, came the next day and installed, and hauled off the old unit. I'm extremely pleased with the experience and 100% would use them again. Thank you Barbara for calling me right back and being so patient with me when we were very stressed with an unexpected expense.

This was 1st time using Mai Vu Plumbing in which I had not previously heard of. It was a good experience. Was most impressed with the installer - Thomas. I felt that he was straight forward, honest, and worked very hard to complete the installation of the water heater which was in the attic. The heater was very heavy and wider than the attic door opening, but Thomas would not give up until finding a way to remove the old water heater after installation of the new one. I will be asking for Thomas for plumbing needs in the future.

Such a great experience! They were so professional and wonderful to work with. I needed a shower repair the same day because my husband was in the hospital and I had family staying with me. I worked with Miguel from their office and he worked hard to make it happen. Thomas came to our house as his last appointment of the day. He picked up a part that we needed, waited for me to come back from Home Depot with the new shower faucet, shower head and bathtub spout and stayed until about 7:30pm to finish installing everything. Super nice, great communication and they went above and beyond for me when I really needed them. I will always call them for any future plumbing needs. They were the best!!!

We had a shower stall where the water would not go down and it was leaking onto the floor. They came out to replace the bottom part of my shower and did a fantastic job. It did take a while to finish but at the end of the job it was what we wanted. One of their workers named Jesse worked very hard to get it all done right. I could tell he is dedicated and worked above and beyond to get it all done. We were very pleased with his work. I would be happy to recommend this company and the workers anytime.

This company is awesome. Home depot screwed up so bad that the light from screwed will never reach Earth. They contracted Mai Vu to install a pedestal on my washer. It took 6 months to get it in and Tammy followed up with me many time to check the status of it so we can get it installed. They are friendly and courteous! If I EVER need anything plumbing related, I will without a doubt use them. There are not many companies anymore that treat people like customers and not just an invoice number.

Had cabinets installed, not an easy job. House was built by non-professionals so none of the walls are square and the floor isn’t perfectly level, but these guys did a fantastic job and exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend them to others and would absolutely and gladly hire them again

Became acquainted with Mai Vu thru floor install with Home Depot. I've had three of Mai Vu's professionals come out at various stages of the project and called them on my own to do a follow up. All of the field technicians as well as the administrative folks have gone above and beyond to help (even when Home Depot dropped the ball on scheduling and other matters) and have done exceptional work with a great attitude. We had a small glitch in a gorgeous (but complicated!) vanity, sink, and faucet - Thomas returned immediately to tweak it. Friendly, fair, responsive, on time. I will definitely call on Mai Vu again.

We had flooring installed and Mai Vu was responsible for removing the toilet and reinstalling once the floors were completed in the bathroom. Service was Top Notch and professional! They were in constant contact with me (without me having to reach out to them) throughout the process and even provided me with answers to questions I had for disconnecting my refrigerator, which had nothing to do with their task for my project. I highly recommend these folks!

Their estimates are pretty much a smoke show. I was quoted a little over $6400 for a water heater and softener. When I called to schedule I said I wanted to do the softener first because the hard water build up can damage a water heater, and I was told that they would install the heater first so they could plan the best location for the water softener. They ended up charging me $7000 just for the water heater because the plumber they sent out to do the estimate didn't ask how many AC units I had, and then they charged me for it despite assurances the whole project would be charged to my card at once, and sent me an estimate for an additional $10,000 to finish the project.

Tom came out to shut the kitchen water off before installing a new countertop and returned two days later to install a new faucet, reconnect to the garbage disposal and hook up the Osmosis system. I had tile installed in all my bathrooms so Home Depot had Mai Vu plumbing do the contracting work to come and uninstall and reinstall my toilets and a sink. Both gentlemen who cane on different days were very professional and made sure there were no leaks before they left. The gentleman at Home Depot failed to include on the work order that the sink had to be removed, but when I mentioned it to the plumber he did not hesitate to just do it. If I ever have plumbing issues, I know I can call this company to get great service if needed.

Very helpful company! I found myself in a tight spot I called and spoke to Miguel and he was able to work with me and was very understanding of our situation. The very next day they sent out their plumber Albert, he arrived before the scheduled time which was great for us cause we had a backup going on he was very fast and kept everything as easy as possible. Their prices are reasonable and fair if you’re looking for a reliable company give me a call I’ll definitely be calling them back soon for some upcoming projects.

I bought a new cooktop through Home Depot. You can choose to use their appliance installers and I am so glad I did. I was at Home Depot late Wednesday, got a call from very nice scheduler (? Barb? Sorry if wrong name) and was scheduled for Friday afternoon. Wow! What service! Paul and Brandon arrived Friday afternoon. I was worried about having to cut countertop so new cooktop would fit & if new electric line (installed week before, 'cause new cooktop needs 40 amp & this old house had 30 amp) was okay & going to work. Paul & Brandon were so nice & reassuring & instantly put my mind at ease. They worked efficiently & kept me informed. The job was done in no time at all, the old cooktop out the door, space cleaned up & Paul turned on & tested. It worked!! Yay!! Paul & Brandon are AWESOME & MAI VU PLUMBING & REMODEL, the Home Depot install company, is AWESOME for being so customer oriented. I will call Mai Vu if I need anything in the future. Thank you Paul & Brandon & Mai Vu & kudos to Home Depot for their choice in contractorsSNOWMAGEDDON AND A Broken PipeMai Vu was here for me again when my pipe broke and I had a flood in my house.Mai Vu was able to send THOMAS the next day. He came, but due to frozen pipes and no electricity, could not figure out where leak was coming from. When we had water again, Thomas came, identified leak and fixed it. Through it all, tough as it was, Thomas was kind, professional, and had a sense of humor that took the edge off of a difficult time.Barbara & Theresa were also wonderful & really cared about getting help to me in a timely fashion. Other companies were telling me a week away for an appointment. After the leak repair, I discovered hot water heater was out & called Mai Vu again & Thomas came back to fix that in the most economical way. MAI VU has my business & you should call them for any plumbing needs.A great company and great employees!

Mr. Sotello did a great job repairing our leak yesterday in our kitchen. He was curtious, friendly and professional and I would definitely request him again for other plumbing issues.I also want to thank Mai Vu Plumbing for fitting us into their busy schedule during the winter storms we just had in San Antonio. I must say Paul was on time, very polite and professional, he was very neat and clean in the installation of my wall oven, we laugh about the installation, If only all my jobs would be so easy! I asked the question. .what they are not? He looked at me and we both started laughing. The time went by so quick, the clean up was fantastic, he picked up all debris that fell and most he caught it with his hand. Thank you for having this man as an employee, he sat the bar for others to follow. Great job guys.

Albert was professional and quickly found a leak that two other plumbing companies had missed. He thoroughly explained the entire repair process and I was back up and running in the same day! Great customer service! Guaranteed customer satisfaction.Back story/Bad part first:Had a former owner/plumber put in 2 water heaters and found out they were not up to code. Same plumber came out to fix, but created more issues and took money and never came back.Good news: Current owner heard about it and sent out a qualified plumber to fix at no charge! No issues and very happy with end result.

Had plumbing work done in my home while I was out of town. All went as agreed. I was pleased to know the city passed inspection the first time. The water heater is electrical and it was installed as well. However the plumber’s electrician set up the wiring inside the water heater incorrectly. As a result electrical current ran through the water and I had a strong electrical shock when I stepped barefoot into the bathtub and touched the water temperature.As a result I was in pain for two days. I could have been electrocuted. I hired a licensed electrician who discovered and solved the problem. He said I was extremely lucky.

I own a few rental properties in the San Antonio area. I don't have to think twice about who to call when it comes to plumbing because I know that when I call Mai Vu, it'll get done quickly for a fair price, and most importantly, done right the first time.Most recently, I had rental house whose sewer line had backed up and was not draining. A quick inspection found there were nearly 8 feet worth tree roots in the line... and we need to dig a 3x10x6 foot trench (that's 3 feet wide, 10 feet long, and 6 feet deep) in order to access the line. My stomach dropped. These are scary words that no homeowner wants to hear.Calmly and professionally, Don't worry Mr. Thomas, we can take care of this for you!And they did - About 2 days worth of work, and for a price that was extremely reasonable, we were back up and running.

First installer cleaned and chip away the concrete to remove the drain. The plumber removed the old drain and connected a 2 pipe extension to line it up with the pan to be installed. They used a plastic sheet on the entrance to contain the dust. My wife and I very pleased with the work. They kept us informed with each step of their work.
