Still can't go above 3 for reasons for original review.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Scam alert - VASTLY overcharged.These guys seem SO professional when you first talk to them. The phone staff is very polite and responsive and proactive. And, my technician Hector was very nice and prompt.But, they really are scamming people.I was quoted $450 for a ceiling fan install (I already paid for the fan myself) and, after 3 hours of (very good) work, then presented with a bill double that. Guys, that comes out to over $300 per hour!In addition, I asked for two drivers/transformers to be replaced to fix some under-counter lighting, and they quoted me $978 to replace two drivers.After the debacle with the ceiling fan, I decided to order the drivers for myself (that simply plug into the wall). The cost for all the parts (2 drivers)? $19.98.So they wanted to charge me $978 for purchasing $20 in parts, and plugging them into the wall. How can a business have no ethics to do this to someone?This is a very dis-honest business. Steer clear.

Justin replaced a dimmer switch in my dining room. This is the third time I have had him come to my house for electrical issues. I would never go with anyone else. He is so knowledgeable, and I know when he fixes something it is fixed! He even came out on a Sunday morning - no extra charge. I trust him completely!!!!!

Mark came out to inspect and turn on our swamp cooler this spring. He was a total professional, as well as super kind, efficient, fun, and informative. Brothers will definitely be the only plumbers, HVAC technicians, and electricians we ever use.

Brent showed up within the window provided to me. He asked me to explain what it was that I was experiencing with our furnace, which we had purchased from Dr Fix it about 5+ years ago. He was able to tell me what he thought might be the problem which turned out to be the case. I ended up spending some money but I now feel confident in our home furnace. Brent did not pressure me to purchase anything. Hopefully if I have another issue I will be lucky enough to work with Brent or someone equally qualified and considerate to our home needs and our financial abilities.

The evening of 2/14/2021 our furnace stopped working- the coldest day of the year (-10 !). We survived the evening but called 1st thing in the morning and they were able to send a tech out within 2 hours. Travis was the tech who came out. He was very polite and friendly. He quickly identified the problem (a high limit switch), put in a used part while he ran to the warehouse to get new part so our house would start to warm up, then returned and completed the repair.
I appreciate that Travis took extra time to explain that the MERV11 filters I were using were too restrictive for the furnace we have and had caused the issue with the high limit switch. He advised on the proper filter and left the area where he worked as clean as when he arrived. Additionally, the total cost of the repair was VERY reasonable and way less than I expected.
I would not hesitate to use AAARK again or recommend them to family and friends. I found out that Travis had given up his day off to come and work this day because of the backlog of service calls. My family and I are thankful for his sacrifice on this cold February day!

Within two hours of my calling Mr. Electric, Jacob, an electrician, was at my door. He was both refreshingly cheerful and professional, and spent time answering my numerous questions and educating me about smoke alarms. (No, I didn't know everything there was to know about smoke alarms!) He replaced an alarm at the top of a 15 foot ceiling with a new unit that was a smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detector combo.

I was quoted a fair price over the phone and that's what I paid. Jacob explained the complimentary electrical evaluation service they provide. (Time didn't allow for him to do it since they squeezed me into their schedule.) At no point did I feel any pressure or upselling (thank you). This review would not be complete if I did not mention the great customer service I received over the phone, including a follow-up call from the owner.

I highly recommend Mr. Electric and, now that my electrician of many years has retired, I will use them in the future.

I was referred to this electrical company by my contractor’s brother. As someone else said, I usually do not write bad reviews on a company. But I am tired of people not following through with what they say they will do. I called Genesis 1:3 and was able to get someone to come out within ten days of the date I called. I thought that was a reasonable amount of time to set an appointment. Ben (it was supposed to be Ethan) showed up on time and was very courteous and professional. That part went well. Then I waited for the estimate. And waited. And waited. I finally got a call from Allison, who is also very pleasant and professional (the two people I dealt with are why I gave this place two stars instead of one), to let me know she told Ethan to get me an estimate. She verified my email address and said I would hear from Ethan soon. That was a week ago. So after waiting three weeks just to receive an estimate for the work, and still not having received anything, I would not recommend this electrical firm. My landscaper needs the electrician to dig the trenches to take electricity out to two sheds in the back, and because of their failure to get us an estimate, it is stalling the entire project. I can understand that a firm is busy and may have to schedule work a ways out, but there is no excuse for not staying in contact with a potential customer.

You definitely want to get a quote first. While they were nice on the phone the job they did for us was over 75% higher than I would have expected. They were at the house for two hours, two people, put in a plug and charged $900 dollars. I have a 50 amp 220 that took a company 2 days to get from the house to the detached garage and they charged me $200 less! I have been a Realtor for 30 years and done fix and flips for 20 years and have never been taken to the cleaners like this! I would have asked for a quote and called around and waited on my old company (who was busy, because they charge reasonable rates), but it was for a medical devise that I had to get installed right away and I was at the hospital with my wife so I had to find someone immediately. I expect people to be fair and honest, at a minimal have some self respect when charging someone for a job. I paid the bill because I asked them to come, but If I were you I would wait for someone else! They also left the place a total mess!

My experience with them was on 470.
One of their drivers was going to exact speed limit in the passing lane and clearly knew he was in the wrong but refused to move over. After several miles of following him I proceeded to break the law by passing him on the right. As I did, he accelerated to prevent me from passing. The reason I’m giving this review is because anyone that is malicious enough to perform such an intentional and despicable act cannot not be trusted to treat a customer fairly or with any amount respect. It is clear they do not employ people with any moral bearing.
