Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric

We used applewood to remove an old kitchen sink, and install a new drop in sink and faucet we purchased from Home Depot. It took a little over 6 hours and was $1300. Jakob was very professional and knowledgeable. Everything turned out great!

The first contact to schedule an appointment was polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. Our technician John Logan was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about our situation. He went above and beyond to make sure our plumbing was fixed the way it should be. I would recommend him/Applewood to everyone (friends and family) without hesitation or pause.

BEWARE! Applewood provided a water main replacement after a leak was discovered. DO NOT PAY UNTIL JOB IS COMPLETE.Applewood damaged the following while replacing a water pipe.1. The City Water main at the street was destroyed. Boulder doesn't take kindly to this. Applewood is fully responsible to replace the water meter.2. Several sprinklers were destroyed by the tractor.3. A wall was removed and NOT fixed.Although I was told by the service technician all this would be taken care of after I paid for the repair work, none of this occurred. I no longer was able to contact the service tech. It was as though he vanished into thin air after I paid. I contacted the company and kept being told that I would get a call from a manager. When I said to the office worker, my sprinklers were damaged. The response was 'we don't fix sprinklers'. I asked about the wall that was removed. 'We don't fix walls'. I asked about the water main being destroyed. 'We don't fix that' lol. Bottom line is Applewood may fix your leak but will destroy much of you home in the process. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Pay them and then they vanish. If I can save 1 potential customer from this terrible company I have done my part. All they had to do was respond to my concerns and perhaps work out a deal to fix some, if not all the damage they caused to the home.

I called Applewood plumbing on July 25, 2023 and got an immediate response of dispatching a technician (Jeff) on July 27, 2023. He arrived on time and gave me several options to fix my kitchen line to main sewage line clogging problem. Besides he gave me great advice such as Bio Clean for grease removal and installation of an effective sewer backup flap to prevent from future flooding on the basement. The cleaning job has one-year warranty and I also joined as a Gold Member to get inspection/cleaning job for my furnace and air conditioner units plus the discount from the plumbing work this time. Greatly happy with the high-quality work by Applewood.

Ty arrived in a timely manner. Friendly and assessed the problem immediately. Provided two solutions, had the part in his vehicle so was able to make the repair immediately on an older toilet. He also honored the coupon we had received so the job cost less. Great sense of humor making the process less painful.

Tom came out and did a great job at looking at our AC and Heating system on Friday. Sam came out on Thursday to do a water heater flush.. both guys were so friendly, knowledgeable and even gave recommendations. I love how Applewood calls to confirm the day and time and actually ARRIVE on time. This is half the battle with most OTHER companies. This is exactly why I love applewood! The staff is EXCELLENT, EXCEPTIONAL and communication is above and beyond. This is the second job in 2 days where we have used Applewood! Will NEVER use anyone else for our heating, AC, electrical and plumbing needs! Can’t give enough praise to this company and their staff!!!

Brett was timely, fast working, personable and did a great job. We were able to get tech out right away same day from a phone call. Tech was here when it was indicated he should be. Very pleased with Applewood Plumbing. Cost was also reasonable.

We called Applewood after our AC went out and they were able to come in and get it repaired in under 2 days, even during a heat wave which I'm sure keeps them busy. Other companies we called were telling us they couldn't make it out for 2-4 weeks.They came out and were incredibly professional and helpful. They ultimately ended up fixing our AC on site same day. We will be moving all of our HVAC needs over to these guys. Great customer service and very quick service.

Fantastic work! Jon was at our house right when he said he would be, and did spectacular work. He was efficient, making sure we understood everything that he was doing and why. He was the consummate professional. I have already recommended him to several of my co-workers.

Was having trouble with my AC and Joe came and helped out. Unfortunately it may be a bigger fix than expected, But Joe was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was a super straight shooter and I really appreciated his input. He got my AC running again and recommended some great next steps.

William T replaced our hot water heater but he really went above and beyond. He installed the new unit and completely repiped the equipment, and spent almost 12 hours working on it to ensure that it was done before I left on a business trip the next day. I can’t speak highly enough about his professionalism, which is what I’ve always experienced with Applewood. This company isn’t the cheapest, but they are the best. You really do get what you pay for with Applewood.

On a Friday evening as we were entering a week forecast to be 90+ degrees every day, our air-conditioning system stopped working. Even though we are not Gold members, Applewood was able to get a repair technician, Jeremy, to our home early Sunday morning. Jeremy was very professional, friendly, and courteous. He spent considerable time diagnosing the problem and was able to get the necessary part to fix the problem. Bonus points to Applewood for honoring a coupon we had and for giving us a Military Discount.

Applewood is a very professional organization and their reputation precedes them!Not only was their dispatch organization easy to deal with and very communicative, their service technician. Daniel was very professional and considerate of my time and my home! The service was completed as agreed to and Daniel even made sure that I didn't pay unnecessary fees for things that I could do myself. I really appreciate the honesty and partnership that this experience felt like. I highly recommended Applewood and will use them again.

We had a very positive experience with Brian today. He was very professional and gave us good advice on the status of several of our older appliances. Communication from the head office was excellent and the cost was very reasonable.

I have been using Applewood for a few years and they are wonderful. I'd prefer to go cheap but I'd also rather be secure knowing that if I had issues with electrical they would be there to get me up and going.
Plus all the workers are awesome!

BEWARE! Applewood prays on seniors and emergency situations. My parents were quoted $28,000 for an air conditioner condenser replacement. Thank goodness they called me to discuss and I was able to recommend a wonderful company who replaced the unit for a quarter of the cost. When I called to clarify the quote and predatory behavior with Applewood, they would not discuss with me.AND, they also charged $1,800 to replace a gas control valve on the water heater, something that should have cost no more than $500 to repair. Do NOT use Applewood. There are wonderful, honest options out there that I’m happy to share.

Truly a great experience working with Sue Ann (on the phone) and Travis (my plumber) to learn the ins and outs of the swamp cooler at my my house I recently bought. Applewood was responsive, no long wait times on the phone, easy to schedule, showed up on time with stellar communication, and reasonable rates!Was extra grateful that travis took the time to explain everything about my system to me - to make sure I understood how things worked. An excellent, local, high quality company!

Damien is an excellent representative of Applewood. He's professional, very knowledgeable, kind and a hard worker. This is a repeat call for an annual service of our house heater and we could not be more satisfied with his service. We will not have to worry about a breakdown in the coming Winter Season. Every technician we've had in our home is pleasant and respectful.Most recently we had Craig in our home for what turned into a half-day repair. He checked in with me often with updates and explained all of the work to me (with pricing) as he went so there were no surprises when it was time to pay. He even did the math for me and determined it would same us money to become Gold Service Club Members. Josh was professional, friendly and went above and beyond to make my new home ownership a great experience. Josh had to practically rewire my entire condo to make it safe to inhabit. Added outlets for my new appliances and made everything safe and to code.

MY mother was 86. She had a toilet that would hiss now and again. I made another adjustment to the stopper and valve and told my mother if it starts to hiss again we would need to replace the valve and stopper. I stop by the next day and the toilet was replaced. What? Looked at the bill from Applewood and it was almost 2000 dollars!! What? If we had the time, we would sue Applewood for doing this to my mother and her home. Who takes advantage of old an old woman! Applewood does.

I should have submitted this review sooner. Our heater went out at the beginning of Winter 2022 right as it was going to be below 30 degrees outside. We panicked as a family as we have a young toddler. Applewood heating responded within a day and got us scheduled for an inspection for new installation. They had a plan and estimate for us quickly and worked very fast to get the work started. I believe from start to finish it only took a few days. Their employees were extremely pleasant and worked incredibly hard to get our heater going again. They even served me after they found out I was a Packers fan and the employee favored the Vikings :) Afterwards they even sent a little goody tin with chocolates as a way of saying thanks for our business. I would highly recommend them for any home needs you may have.

UPDATE: Despite how stressful and frustrating it was at the time I was contacted to make things right they really went above and beyond to make up for my experience. Will defiantly give them another shot.Showed up late. Replaced pipes (they were not leaking prior) under sink in 15min ran water said it was all good. 2hrs later we had 2” of water under the sink on the shelf of our brand new vanity and wall. Called right away and they booked me for the next day in the afternoon was told I couldn’t speak with anyone about their mistake for 2 business days. Felt my project and especially my property was not treated with concern or care. I paid extra for this service and expected them to be ontop of doing what is right to correct an issue they caused. Had to miss a flight to be there for them the next day. Very frustrating.

We had a situation where we had to turn off the main water supply and Applewood was able to send their technician Colin within a few hours.Colin was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He fixed our problem immediately ensuring everything was working properly and answered all our questions.We are extremely happy with Colin and his work and would definitely ask for him on any job that we Applewood do for us. We have a 24 year old A/C system and he replaced one part and made a recommendation to replace another part soon but that it didn’t need to be done yet. I appreciated the honesty! He showed up in our 2 hour service window and we were given a call when he was about 45 minutes away. We were very happy with our experience with Applewood and plan to use them for services in the future.

Jason and his apprentice arrived on time and fixed my swamp cooler in under 45min. He also helped unscrew a hose that was corroded which I would have never been able to replace myself. Very generous and helpful!

They charged 340$ (380$ originally) for less than 2 hours of labor and zero dollars in parts, this was to clean a shower valve and an input line to a hot water heater. Charges were based on a flat rate of 190$ per item for these things. I'll add that they replaced the shower valve very recently but only warrantee anything for 30 days, yes thirty you read that right.The tech was nice enough, but the suits can all go eat a giant dumpster full of poo; I'll not be calling them again.They did; however, have a customer retention rep call and give $40 off an hour later. I can't be disingenuous and not give them the small amount of credit due for this bit.The worst part was that the 20-something-year-old tech for the company is definitely not making any significant portion of the 190$ per hour... wait no sorry, i mean service... they charged me despite him being on site for less than two hours.

Jaime was great! He quickly assessed the situation, and put us at ease by clearly explaining the range of solutions. Once we decided on the best option, he did an amazing job! He didn't just fix the issue, he improved our system so we can actually prevent these issues from happening again in the future. We are very grateful for Applewood & specifically Jaime's expertise.

Tyler came out and fixed our mini-split issue that had vexed a few others. He was professional, friendly, and so helpful.Applewood supports the Colorado Sun, which is appreciated. They are extremely responsive and clearly know how to hire talented folks.

Great experience. We had an electrical issue that perplexed everyone that tried to fix it. Applewood came out and fixed the issue within 5 minutes and didn’t charge me a service fee. My tech Daniel was awesome. Highly recommend this company and I will use them for anything in the future.

Josh Stevenson did an excellent job at repairing issues with my A/C system. There was build up from drywall debris and drainage leading to rust in the unit. Josh showed me exactly what was wrong and how it could be corrected. He was even able to install the humidifier for the home and give pointers on how to save on heating and cooling the house. He even fixed the fence outside. He was pleasant, on-time and honest. I will definitely work with him on A/C maintenance in the future.

Allen did a superb job in my water heater replacement. He kept the house clean. He was steadfast and completed the work in expected time. We had a bit of an emergency plumbing issue and I found Applewood on Google. They were able to see us the next morning which was a relief and faster response than the other companies I called. Greg showed up and he was amazing! He was very helpful and skilled and respectful of our home. He communicated really well about the leaks we had and left our home clean and completely repaired.

Very satisfied with the service provided by this company. Each time a tech has came out they have been very honest and precise and get an exact quote before the repairs. The most recent technician went above and beyond for our A/C system his name was Jacob and was the most helpful person ever and VERY knowledgeable. I highly recommend using this company!

Applewood may be a bit more expensive than a smaller outfit but they are professional, on time, and knowledgeable. I called a few other HVAC service companies and all were booked out for 2+ days, and one guy did not do stairs lol. Applewood and Tyler were awesome and out the next day!

Applewood is amazing! They came out to my condo for a routine electrical inspection and found some major issues in my circuit breaker panel that could've caused some safety issues. Britton was very thorough with his inspection and worked hard to schedule and order all the necessary parts to fix the issue and get my electrical panel upgraded. Jon was on time, extremely professional and helpful in explaining everything. The team organizing the visit and all the emails/calls/messages sent are fantastic. Unfortunately, their pricing is extremely expensive for what I need. I'd recommend them only for small electrical work, assuming that is priced at a more normal level. This is why I must give 4 stars - they are way too expensive.

We LOVE Applewood and have used them for years! We had a water heater replaced today and although the tech Jaime was outstanding and did a great job, we were absolutely stunned by the cost. It was a few thousand dollars more than Home Depot’s or Lowe’s price which also included labor.It was very disappointing.

They are not cheap, but they respond quickly and get the job done quickly. I have called them for an AC problem and a major plumbing issue, and they fixed the problem in one trip both times. Their 2 year warranty for repairs is also nice.

Be careful. Ask for pricing before you commit to the $29.00 estimate fee. I received a quote for $2,469.00 (standard price) to replace a sump pump. I declined the price and googled plumbing companies, the next one I called quoted $585.00 and they will replace my sump pump in four days. The quote I received from Applewood is crazy, compared to industry standard pricing. However, after talking with them, they are refunding my $29.00 estimate fee. I do appreciate that.

I had a water leak and the plumber will not go into the crawl space to check or turn on/ off the main water, do the due diligence of making sure the water is not leaking, instead when asked he said That will be an extra cost. Charged me $200 to temporarily fix the issue by just inserting a mechanical knob. Will not recommend.

I called the right place when my heat was out on a very cold morning. Applewood took my call and dispatched a technician who arrived promptly (Justin F.) He was professional, friendly, and very competent and knowledgeable.He got my heat working and took the time to explain everything he was finding and dealing with. He also stuck around after the repair to ensure all was back to normal.I will call Applewood whenever I have a need in my home that they can service. SO happy with my quick, easy, and inexpensive service! My AC stopped working, which turned out to be due to a drainage clog. Damien was amazing! He identified the problem instantly and had it fixed within a half hour. After several years of living in this area, I think I finally found my go-to HVAC repair company!

Was so very happy with my experience with Applewood. I didnt have power to my entire house for 24 hours and after going in (very rude) circles with Xcel for hours, I called Applewood and spoke with Lori who was so kind and amazing. She helped me out right away. Sean came out within the next hour or so and was able to diagnose the problem very quickly (it was Xcel) and even spoke to Xcel for me to help get the issue resolved. Cant recommend them enough, they are fantastic.

Justin F. was phenomenal, he was on time, attentive and really explained the situation of my air conditioner in terms that I would understand not being a HVAC expert. He was honest and told me what was immediate action vs. Recommend action and didn't force anything will definitely call again!

Very disappointed with Applewood!!! They quoted me almost $12,000 for a 75 gallon hot water heater replacement. I thought that seemed high so I checked with 2 other plumbing companies. One was approx $3,000 and the other was approx $4,500. When I called the Applewood service tech to understand the pricing difference, I got a line of garbage about warranties and other nonsense. Needless to say, I did not select Applewood for my hot water heater and I will no longer use them for any of my electrical, furnace or a/c work.

From now on Applewood is my go-to. Totally professional. Highly trained and knowledgeable. Exceeded all our expectations! Highly recommend Applewood to keep your house running at its best. I have been using Applewood Plumbing for several years to turn on and off my swamp cooler. They were higher priced but dependable. Last fall they came out and closed the swamp cooler and nothing else was said. This spring they turned on my cooler and then I was told that it was leaking and I need to get a new one. They charged me twice as much than last fall as well as a quote for a new cooler installed. 10,000 dollars plus 3,000 dollars for a designated electric unit. Quote is good for 30 days or the quote may go up! What a way to treat a regular customer who is a senior. If Applewood continues to give quotes like this they will price themselves out of business

We use applewood plumbing for my 37000 square foot animal hospital, so I decide to try them for my personal home. TJ was great with up front pricing and options, gave my dogs cookies and respected my house and space. Not to mention drain running cleanly now!

Luke was on time and professional. He assessed the situation and gave me a recommendation on next steps. He was not pushy in any way but informative of what the problem was and his preferred fix. Absolutely will use this service (and Luke!) again. Already signed up for another appointment for a different system. Definitely use Applewood!

Our Applewood service msn today was John. Like all of those before from the company he was professional, polite, knowledgeable, prompt, completed his service in one visit, listened, did not try to upgrade the job or sell me things. However John had to perform a task none of the others had to perform. He came into our home and listened to the problem. Then he went to the item which wasn't working, touched one button while telling me which button to push. The item immediately began performing and the problem was solved. One button push on a control panel and the problem was solved. He did this without making me feel stupid or ignorant. He did not even roll his eyes or laugh. Zach helped root cause my musty smell that I initially thought came from the water heater but we got into the crawl space and uncovered a pinhole leak in a pipe as the source. He stayed and completed the job efficiently and under pretty uncomfortable conditions. I was so impressed and extremely grateful with his service on the spot. Would definitely recommend Applewood and Zach’s competence in particular.

I have used Applewood for years and have never encountered such poor customer service as I did today. I had an appointment for AC service between 5-7pm and was told someone would call for a service window before then. When I didn't receive a call before 6pm, I called to check to see when I could expect someone. I was transferred to the dispatcher who indicated they had a lot of emergencies, and he would call me when his tech was free. At 720p he called to say his tech wasn't coming. We have used Applewood almost exclusively for years, but feel it might be time for a change.

Jacob at Applewood plumbing was very professional and knowledgeable about my AC issues. I highly recommend to anyone needing a reputable company with licensed and skilled HVAC professionals. Pricing was fair and urgency was appreciated when my AC unit stopped working.

Jamie arrived on time and ready to work. He explained what he was going to do. He went above what was needed and did not try to up sell what was not necessary. Very personable! Left area clean.

I have their gold plan and I have now tried 3 times to get get them over to service my air conditioner. Every time I've booked it they cancel it. I have canceled medical appointments and sat ALL DAY waiting only to have them cancel again. They would rather take care of people they can bill. Very rude and inconsiderate of my time!! Never again.Never heard a word from them after responding to my bad review. This company has really gone down hill.

Company has a good business model. They present opportunities but aren’t pushy. The technicians always explain things well and do what is promised. I’d recommend Applewood for anyone who wants to be proactive about home plumbing, heating, and electric needs. Most recent need was resolution of a pesky toilet valve situation. While I could have completed the work myself, I chose the added value of an expert - Jakob in this case. And as they always do, Applewood added value in unexpected ways. It’s hard to put a price tag on peace of mind.

John Hildebrandt was the tech and he diagnosed then resolved the problem quickly and explained how to prevent in the future. Really appreciate great service! Applewood also was able to get me in the queue quickly- which is great considering I have a non-neuro typical daughter where excessive heat is a serious issue for her health. Highly recommend!

Very responsive and professional. Luke arrived on time, was absolutely professional, performed troubleshooting activities with no extra costs, and was very descriptive in explaining what was wrong. He checked with me every step of the way and was really courteous. He protected my floors and quietly performed his tasks so I could go about mine. Called to schedule an appointment, had a 2 hour window scheduled and nobody called or showed up. I took time off work in order to make this appointment. When I called the main number to inquire, after I had not heard from them within the window they scheduled, I was told that their technician cannot make it and he tried to call me to let me know and then they asked if I can reschedule. Save your time and money and make an appointment with literally anybody else. My guess is these 5 star reviews are fake reviews of the business since my first and last experience with them they stood me up and gas lighted me.

Josh did a great job of diagnosing my AC issue and getting it back up and running quickly. He also gave me some helpful pointers on keep my HVAC system running smoothly. Highly recommend.

Applewood was the most responsive company I've ever worked with. Within 5 minutes of requesting an appointment online I received a call from their customer service to schedule a visit AND I was able to schedule same-day service. Our Tech, Damian, arrived exactly on time. He was fast in his evaluation of our system's needs and was able to give us recommendations and a quote for additional services. He was also, most importantly, accurate in diagnosing the problem. Having had a previous company out to service our furnace the day before with a misdiagnosis, this was a great relief. With the low temperatures and winter weather today, we greatly appreciate the quick response and superior service we received from Damian and Applewood. Have been using Applewood for about 2-3yrs now, for electrical and plumbing matters. While it is pricey, I feel they are worth every penny! Incredibly responsive with scheduling, above and beyond customer service along with outstanding professionalism. I always feel as if the technicians are extremely thorough and professional. 10/10 will use again.

Can't say enough good things about the service from Kevin at Applewood. He did a thorough examination of the inducer unit on my furnace to find condensation leaks and then walked me through the issues in detail with his recommendations for how to remedy. Kevin was knowledgeable and fair, even recommending that I work through the furnace warranty process first to help save money. I will gladly return to Applewood in the future for HVAC servicing.

Fixed my heat pump. The unit had to be reset several times. Andrew hung around until both mini splits were working for at least 15 minutes. Only charged me the minimum service charge

My technician was very professional and willing to go the extra mile. When I asked a question about a potential future service, he asked if I wanted it done right then. I agreed and got my urgent sump replacement done AND a shower valve upgrade done very conveniently. He explained every step of the way on both projects.

Tom performed a Free Furnace inspection on our home and was very thorough and knowledgeable. Additionally Tom was very courteous and professional. I liked Applewood Plumbing the first time I used them, but the last time I used them I was extremely disappointed. They came out to give me a second opinion on my a/c system, involving a diagnostic analysis and an estimate. I was told at the time that I needed a new a/c put in and why. When I went with a different company to install the a/c, bc Applewood was too expensive, it all went downhill. I needed to get a copy of their analysis and recommendations, for my insurance, so I could be reimbursed a portion of the cost. I could not get this from Applewood. They said the tech who came out to look at my a/c no longer worked with them, and had not provided notes that I could give the insurance company. I paid Applewood for their secobd opinion....i expected i could get the opinion and recommendations in writing. So anyway, I was not reimbursed. I guess that's what happens when you go elsewhere to get the work done. I just thought it was a bit petty and unethical. So, although they do good work and I would recommend them if you can afford their high prices, I cannot give them more than three stars based on my most recent experience with them.

Andrew K. came out to look at my HVAC system to see what was going on. He was awesome. I have zero complaints about him.What I do have an issue with is their pricing system. They go off of a pricing book with pre-selected amounts on them. For example... a condensate drain line (clear rubber hosing), is over $500 to replace. A pump that costs $60 online is over $800 to replace. I'm starting to think allot of the big name companies are doing this, not just Applewood. Wish they would just charge time and materials.

Jaime and Donavan (?) were friendly, straight forward with options and pricing, and completed the work timely. I never purchased a water heater, so I had a bit of sticker shock, but it is what it is. From my initial call to the installation to the follow up call, the customer service was excellent! I definitely recommend their services, and plan to use them in the future if/when needed

I've been extremely happy with the service Applewood provides. The representatives handling the phones are professional and extremely responsive. The updates they send confirming appointments and notifying me of their technicians' ETAs are timely and pretty accurate; this allows me to actually plan my day around the service visit. One of their Master Electricians--Britton Tarango--has been out to my house a couple of times and I can't recommend him highly enough. He's extremely friendly, respectful of my home, patient with my ridiculous dog, and is happy to narrate the work he is doing so I can get a little more educated on the inner-working of my house.

Applewood knocked it out of the park. Mat helped me figure out the short-circuited board on my furnace. After listening attentively to my issue, Mat took the time to walk me through the diagnosis, recommend the service (and nothing more), and had it fixed within the hour. Stellar job and I’ll be calling Applewood back next time I’ve got an issue.

Our AC went out in the middle of a heat wave. They got us on their schedule in two days. Their technician was a real pro. She showed up on time, inspected the system, told us what the repair would be, and effected the repair in a single (lengthy) service call. She dealt with two wasp nests in the process. Definitely our new go-to HVAC outfit.

Applewood sent a professional plumber, Jaime, to handle my on-going issue with my sinks. The fault lay with the initial installation of all my single level faucets and sinks in every one of my bathrooms. We had a great experience. Our water heater needed to be replaced and they were able to complete the job in the same day. They started the work and another employee arrived later with the new heater and associated parts so we didn't waste hours with our technician having to go get them. The work looks great. Professional and well installed.

We purchased a Bradley White gas water heater from Applewood Plumbing 7.5 years ago. The water heater went out last night and we called Applewood this morning and learned that we has a 100% 10 year parts and labor warranty. They dispatched a plumber (Tony Loewen) to replace it. Tony arrived within two hours of my original call and quickly and professionally replaced the unit. Tony was very professional and got us back in business within in less than 90 minutes including removal of the old unit. Tony was very pleasant and left the space cleaner than he found it! There was no charge for any of this and we now have a brand new hot water heater!

I called this morning and they were able to come within two hours to inspect our air conditioner. Jeremy was very thorough and professional, and gave me detailed, itemized estimates for both repairing and replacing of our a/c unit. There was no pressure to decide on the spot, just let them know whenever we’ve had time to talk it over. A great experience!

Very professional service. They were able to remedy our plumbing issue (plus address another outstanding issue) within a few hours of my call on a weekday. Call center gentleman was very helpful, and our plumber, Robert Jones, was excellent. Service was a bit pricey, but all things considered (time, warranty, etc.), it was well worth it and would use their services again.

Our attic fan wouldn’t run for more than a few minutes at a time and then shut off. BJ quickly determined that the timer switch was bad. It needed to be replaced. He also checked the fan, motor and belt and determined that they were fine. He replaced the switch and we were good to go.

Sam Crippen came out and fixed a leak for me and did a fantastic job and I appreciate it so much! Also, dealing with the administrative staff scheduling and follow up was great. I've used these guys a few times and always been happy.

He serviced my furnace, performed testing as well to be sure it was functioning appropriately. He also flushed the hot water heater in checked that it was in good functioning condition. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was very pleased with the service.

Dell was truly an incredible representation of Applewood and their customer service. I had a competitor of Applewood to my home to inspect a leaky pipe. The experience was rushed and I was left with a bid for a full sewer line repair. I called Applewood to get a 2nd opinion, and I am so glad I did! Dell took the time to explain what was happening and what the various remedies would be. He worked diligently to provide a solution that I understood and felt comfortable with. We had installers refuse to install appliances because they smelled gas. We were understandably upset and turned off the gas supply to our house. Applewood responded to our call for plumbing assistwance within two hours. Our technician, Nate, was professional and tested the gas supply carefully before judging that it was not leaking and safe to use. The installers had apparently smelled residual gas when I disconnected the dryer gas supply just before they arrived. Because we had been referred by a neighbor who had had used and valued Applewood's work, there was no charge for the the visit. Such value and consideration is rare these days.

Total pros. Easy to set up appointment. Very transparent on pricing. Tyler arrived on time and completed his tasks thoroughly. He took the time to explain to me more about how to best maintain my HVAC and AC systems. I’ll happily use them again.

Hot water heater had been experiencing intermittent failures and finally stopped producing hot water all together. Dyllan was able to easily find the issue and correct it promptly. He also suggested a few corrections to other issues he observed and was understanding when I informed him the cost was not in our budget at the time.

I called because I had water on the floor with the AC unit, thought the worst.Called Applewood, they got out to my home in about 1 hour, Tom, the tech, checked everything. And we just needed to replace the air filter. He gave me some really great advice as a first time home owner on what to look at for filters, how often to change and and some other information about the AC unit in general, which was great, since I grew up with a Swamp cooler not AC.

Michael came out to do an inspection. He was professional and patient even at the end of his day. He explained the inspection and the operation of the part that needed replacement. He then performed the replacement and made sure our furnace was working properly before writing up the paperwork, accepting payment, and leaving. No mess, no worries, just excellent service. The people we spoke with / the plumber that showed up were extremely professional and nice so I am not leaving a bad review based on anything except price. $660 dollars just to INSTALL a generic kitchen sink disposal. After we had already bought the disposal for $280 and had it ready to be installed. He said it would only take an hour. We then called another company and were quoted $165. Why was Applewood so expensive? Seems absurd to me. We declined the service to which he was understanding.

We had problems with our old humidifier and called Applewood to see what our options were. Tyler looked over what we had and gave us a quote for repairs and a replacement as well as explained the options. We decided to have him install a new one and he did a great job. We have a system that works now. Very happy with how our experience has been with the Applewood team.

Matt Hickman at Applewood Plumbing was an expert, a professional and delivered over the top service. He trouble shot multiple connection points leading him to eventually dig two feet underground to find a faulty junction box that was full of water. He replaced the junction box with a better one and created an access point to get to it better next time. He stayed late and put the yard back as it was before he arrived. Applewood is lucky to have Matt! I’m lucky we have a electrical company like Applewood in Denver.

From the start when I needed some plumbing, electrical, and HVAC services I researched these type of services, and was extremely impressed with the reviews at Applewood. I also greatly appreciate the flexible hours of the company so someone doesn’t have to constantly take off work to get assistance. I got the service agreement with Applewood and have seen a value on the savings on work done by doing so. When my home was struck by lightning last week resulting in needing a new 200 amp breaker system and meter housing, we called Applewood right away. Zac Connolly did a fantastic job. He researched the damage, providing his recommendations and ordering parts. Zac then came out and in one day, with high temperatures and no breeze outside, put in the 200 amp breaker box and the meter housing along with 2 GFI lines. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and did an amazing job. Applewood Permits then worked with the Parker City inspector and CORE electric, making arrangements for inspection and a new meter replaced so that we didn’t have to wait longer for power, with the weather temperatures climbing. I also very much appreciate the prompt and thorough assistance from the Parker City inspector and CORE electrician in getting the electricity back on. Although Zac didn’t have to, he waited most of the day to be available for the inspector and CORE electrician, and Zac then ensured that all the breakers/power worked perfectly in every room and that the breakers were labeled appropriately. I’m truly impressed by the compassion and expertise of Zac Connolly and Applewood in ensuring they are providing their customers the best experience possible during these type of situations, and they have my highest recommendation possible to others. I can’t thank you enough!!

Not worth the call. Pricing is outrageous. I suspect this company’s strategy is in part to collect as much money without doing work as they can.Hose bib replacement came in at $900. To put this in perspective, this is $25-50 in parts and a 30-60 minute, low skill job.Absolutely worth passing this company by for another that is reputable and fair.They were on time and friendly, but for this pricing they should have shown up with dinner and drinks in tow.

Jose was an incredible installer! His attention to detail showed in the finished product - it is very well installed. He cleaned after himself as he went and left the space in better shape than when he started. He did have to do quite a bit more work to update something that was not up to code, and he did a great job!! Most of all, Jose is very kind and had a positive attitude, no matter the difficulty he faced. We are so pleased with the final product!

Well, James didn't actually 'repair' anything. I called Applewood because I had a coupon and wanted my new ecobee thermostat installed. They said they would and before I knew it James appeared. During our discussions of world affairs, I asked him if he could do a 'checkup' on my HVAC systems. I had just purchased my new/old abode and was interested in getting things checked out. The realtor for the seller of my new place purchased a Home Warranty and they only replace things but not inspect. So Jame proceeded to do just that. Took him a while but he was very detailed and spotted a possible leak in my AC line. He gave me my options and because of that, I'm gonna call the Home Warranty folks and tell them what James found...the rest of the story is yet to be told. James did a thorough job. I am very pleased and happy. James was fun to work with (can I say that?) but very professional at the same time. Thank you James for your work and for working on a Saturday!

William called 25 minutes prior to arrival. When he showed up he got right to work and figured out why our A/C wasn’t working. It was an easy fix but most technicians would not have been diligent enough to find it. I will definitely call Applewood again.

Applewood Plumbing is a rip off and they do not stand behind their work, even if you are a club member! They did a repair to the plumbing/tubing that feeds into my rental unit on April 4th. There was a small pinhole in the tubing that feeds my unit's hot water heater. They did a quick fix to stop the leak and charged me $920 with a guarantee that if it leaked again, they would come back and fix for free. On April 13th, there was another pinhole leak and Applewood Plumbing again was called (not by me, but by the tenant in the condo unit below mine). When asked about the guarantee, I was told the leak was in a new place on the same tubing, and I was charged another $772 for another quick fix. They did make an offer they could replace all of the plumbing that feeds my entire unit which would entail tearing out the ceiling of the unit below mine, replacing all of the plumbing and quoted $27,000 which didn't even include the repair I would have had to make to the unit's ceiling.On Friday, June 16th the same piece of tubing developed a larger leak, flooding the unit below. Applewood was once again called to the rescue, but refused to fix the issue, never contacting me personally. Water to my unit was cut off until Saturday when I called a good and reliable plumber to repair. Not only did he replace the whole piece of tubing that should have been replaced to begin with, not just install a quick, ineffective shark-bite to stop the leak, but his repair, which is a permanent fix only cost me $450.Applewood is way over priced and they do not provide permanent fixes unless you want to spend a ton of money. When I spoke to one of their office managers, she argued semantics with me... yes the pinhole leaks were fixed... temporarily, but because I didn't opt to spend $27,000 with them, they won't admit that their 2 previous repairs were worthless. I am very frustrated and will never use or refer anyone to them. If you need a great, ethical, affordable plumber, contact me.

Had a bit of a snafu today installing a thermostat and blew the fuse on furnace. Called Applewood hoping for a same day help and Luke S. showed up within a couple of hours. He saved me from myself, left me a fuse in case I get “handy” again. Fast, super affordable and such a nice guy. Signed up for the annual membership deal. Will be using again.

Very helpful and professional. I have had them come out for both plumbing and electrical repairs. Nicole at the office is amazing. They are very good at explaining the problem, the repair process, and how to avoid future issues.

This is the worst company to deal with. I have had this company out 6 times in the past 2 years to address a number of issues with a new boiler system that they installed.One the last visit they determined the issue was something that was outside of warranty and the estimate provided was over $1900. I did my due diligence and had another company come out to look at the issue and they promptly determined it was not what Applewood said was the issue, rather an issue that was directly tied to the new installation of the new system, (specifically the wiring and control board that was installed with the new boiler.)When I called to speak to a manager I was informed that I could not be transferred, but a ticket would be submitted and I would get a call back within 24 hours, (which is actually 3 business days because they define it as 24 business hours.) The call came a couple of days later while I was in a meeting and a phone number was left on my voicemail. I called this number back and got an unnamed voicemail box and left 2 messages, to finally get a call back this afternoon, (after calling into the mainline again.) The person that called was incredibly combative and rude from the start, (starting the call off that she left me a voicemail on Monday, but not acknowledging that I had since left 2 additional voicemails.)To say that this conversation was unproductive would be an understatement. I will acknowledge my tone was not completely upbeat, however my frustration should be understandable. I was interrupted numerous times and chastised about my tone. All I was looking for was to acknowledge the source of frustration and own a resolution. I got neither.So, here I am 2 weeks later with the exact same issue that I called originally on. This experience has only solidified the reputation I have heard of Applewood for years: poor workmanship, terrible customer service and main concern is selling work that is not needed.Needless to say: CALL ANY OTHER COMPANY FOR YOUR WORK

Shady business practice would be putting it lightly. Had a burst pipe so called them out. Plumber was on time, very professional, and fixed the problem. But as he was leaving he says. Hey I screwed the bathtub faucet back on for you. Thanks man I appreciate that.However he did not screw it back on correctly. Back sprayed water into the wall for a few days. Suddenly the furnace below the bathroom is dead. Call applewood out again. Tell us the main board is dead but don’t say why. Replace it. 4 days later it’s dead again so I decide to look for myself. Water damage everywhere. Replace motherboard for the second time in a week.Have a plumber out again and he identifies the problem instantly. Water backing up into the wall from the bathtub faucet.Applewood refuses to take responsibility at all. Admits their plumber messed up but because it wasn’t work I paid for they don’t see any responsibility.If you do use them make sure they write down in detail everything they do. No matter how small. They will rip you off if you don’t.

Update:After reading my review someone from Applewood called me to apologize, make sure they address the issue with the individual, and refund the fee. Everything I have heard points to quality work... but don't call on them to clear a mainline.-original review-Applewood came highly recommended... but they don't publish prices in advance. The serviceman got to my house, I showed him the toilet that has to be removed to clear roots from the main line. He then told me it costs a thousand dollars! I was waiting for him to tell me he was joking. When I got confirmation that he was serious ($500 to take the toilet off and reseat it afterward, and $500 to run the rooter) I commented that I usually pay around $100 to $150. He very rudely replied not with Applewood you don't. I said I tried to find the prices on the website, and he told me they don't post them because people lie. All day long people lie. Again, very rudely.What people? If you have prices listed, what is there to lie about? Or was he saying I, as a customer, would lie? Who is he saying lies?So I'm out $29 for [a plumber - I removed his name] to come out, speak to me very rudely, and do no work.This must be how they make their money... make customers pay you for doing nothing and for being treated very rudely.

Great service experience, 10 out of 10 would recommend. Nathan was super informative and explained what was going on with my water heater and even provided some additional tips such as looking into get a water alarm to prevent a small leak from becoming a big leak.

We called Applewood when our AC went out last year. The HVAC was was original to the 1992 house and we knew we'd have to replace the unit soon. Our goal was to see if it could be temporarily repaired while also getting a quote for a new furnace and AC system. The tech spent quite a while working and said she was able to get it working in the short-term and we were charged a couple hundred dollars for the effort. The system stopped working within the hour. While she was there we also got a quote for a whole new furnace and HVAC. $32,000 for a 1600 sq ft split level. I was floored. She said they do great work... unless they have some proprietary technology that they, themselves, have the patent for, almost everyone installs the same name brand units. There really is a ceiling for how great the work can be. I went on to get 4 more quotes, all from reputable companies that pull permits (they really pushed the idea that cheaper places won't), and everyone came in well under $17,000. If you want an install, I would say avoid Applewood. If you want existing system service, I'd recommend Applewood only if most of the other companies in the Metro went belly up or happened to be closed.

2nd update:After my below reviews, literally the GFCI outlet blew. When it rains it pours I guess!!I still stand by the nightmare of scheduling in the evening, regardless of electrician request vs plumber, but this time we knew it was gonna happen but needed him out asap. We of course were bumped into even later in the evening, but they still had him come out.Daniel P the Electrician, cannot say enough good things. I was panicked and a bit on edge with fear that an electrical fire would happen - he arrived cool, calm, collected and gave me options on how to move forward. Basically, anticlimactic which is what you want in electricity!Scheduling is not great, but both electrician and plumber were amazing and will continue to go to Applewood for them alone.Updated:Changing my score due to dispatch. I would like to still honor my original review in regards to the tech, he truly could not have been nicer.However I'd originally scheduled them on a Saturday for a Monday plumbing fix. They scheduled me for the evening, so we agreed and took off work so it would be easier. Of course middle of the day, there's a crisis and they need to push my time back. I explain we took off work, and they stated they would still get to me by end of day.8pm rolls around, still no call or plumber. I roll my eyes and call THEM, to which they apologized and said no one would be available and needed to schedule the next day.That next day was when Zach came, he arrived on time and did a great job.However, after his work, there was an issue so I called Applewood to have them correct it. They scheduled me for next days evening time AGAIN. I explained I was hesitant because last evening time, they forgot about me. She explained that because I was a member and had just had work done, they would label mine as essential.Welp, here I am again in the evening time, they called, had to bump me. They said the guy needed a lunch and would be just a bit over 6pm. 630pm rolls around, a different lady calls says he's gonna be another HOUR. I'd scheduled earlier in the day, granted with a window of course, because it's crazy around here past that.Honestly just do yourself a favor, if you don't schedule in the morning or early afternoon, you're getting bumped - so don't bother.TLDR: tech was great, but don't schedule late afternoon/evening times and save yourself PTO and a headache.Original:Zach C. was the plumber who assisted us in fixing a tub faucet leak and pressure issue, in the process he took the time to look for other areas of the house and made recommendations. Honestly, hiring someone to work on your house and having to stay there - is awkward. You don't know what to do with yourself, your baby is teething and fussy, and the dogs are a hot mess. But he never took issue with anything, made it seem like he truly cared and was there to fix things and understood that life is still happening while he's there.Everything that was repaired seems like it was done exceptionally, and took the time to make sure everything was working properly. Definitely recommend working with Zach C and because of him, would return to Applewood for services.

Our water heater went out suddenly making a mess. We called Applewood Plumbing and they had someone in route within an hour. The technician Brian N. came out and explained everything to us and gave us the available options. It was too late in the day to replace the hot water heater, but he was back out by 8:30 the next morning and removed the old heater and installed the new one in just 2.5 hours. The new heater now has a tray underneath it that drains to the floor drain and a water alarm installed in the tray to warn if there is a leak. Brian was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable and did the job quickly and efficiently. Overall an excellent experience with Applewood Plumbing and with Brian. I would be comfortable recommending them to anyone I know.

John Jones was very helpful in determining leaks in my home. He was very detailed in describing the problem and offered multiple resolutions. He was also able to complete multiple tasks same day. Best plumber I have ever used throughout the years, highly recommend.

Kevin patiently explained the issues with our A/C. He cleaned the condenser unit (which was pretty clogged) and replaced the fan motor.When he returned several weeks later, he replaced a capacitor that apparently had gone bad. He even put up with our rambunctious pups.

My home had low water pressure inside and outside. Josh Cruz diagnosed the issue and spent time walking me through the process. Corbin came out to look at my hot water heater. An alarm had gone off this morning and I had shut the water heater off. Turns out the alarm was due to a low battery alarm in my water leak sensor, which I fixed before Corbin arrived. He restarted the hot water heater and checked it over carefully. Everything was in order and the heater was/is performing as it should. Corbin was very professional and courteous. I will use Applewood for any future plumbing issues.

Ty Bass and Kyle Hartcorn were incredibly courteous, kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and not in any way pushy. The dispatch has the perfect level of communication and overall the whole flow was well orchestrated. I learned a lot about my city’s plumbing systems and my own house as well. These people clearly know what they’re talking about. Kyle even showed me that my pipes were different than what my city told me and has in their records. It’s definitely more expensive than other services. I’d say you could get the same solution for 30-40% cheaper. But you pay for quality I suppose.

Soon after we asked for plumbing repairs due to water damages throughout our home due to pipes blockage.They remove and replaced pipes.What I appreciate about Jason and Daniel is how clean they are while working. Not only do they clean the area they are working on but they seem to be able to keep themselves clean.Every time they had to go to their truck to get materials or tools they made sure the door they used was closed behing them. Called for bathroom faucet and shower head replacements. Greg quickly found an issue with aged valves, water leaks and under sink rust. He then clearly explained next steps for replacement parts along with pricing options which would include a new sink bowl.Greg listened and provided guidance for best option for my budget, which meant holding off on one bathroom upgrade and focusing on another for new faucet and showerhead replacements. Greg also took care of a loose bath faucet.I appreciated the professionalism, trustworthy explanations and advice, as well as the swift replacements. I am thrilled with the results. I asked Applewood to come over and figure out why some lights and outlets had suddenly stopped working in my house. Jake gave me an estimate of $1,323. I trusted Jake's assessment that it was a much bigger job than I realized. I had to pay in full before he would start. The problem turned out to be a loose wire nut. Granted, Jake went above and beyond what was necessary to correct the problem, checking the connections and wire nuts in 12 switch, outlet and junction boxes in the house and attic. But $1,323 is a gross overcharge for three hours of routine electrical work in my opinion. I asked Applewood to adjust the charge given the massive difference between what they told me the job would be vs what it actually was. So far they have refused to acknowledge this, although I'm waiting for a call back from a manager on the matter and I will update this review with that outcome. 2/13/2023 UPDATE: Someone from Applewood called me to double down on the ridiculous assertion that $1,323 is a good price for the work Jake did. These people are dishonest and predatory.

TJ is friendly, very professional, and a thorough troubleshooter. Diagnosed and fixed a clogged shower drain, then debunked a toilet problem that perplexed us for years. Wish we would’ve called sooner instead of wasting time with drain cleaner chemicals. Thank you for getting on the roof to confirm our vents weren’t clogged and pointing out the pitfalls of having them cleaned, advice for maintenance we can do too.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Justin Fournier who was truly exceptional. From start to finish, he demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and expertise, while also being incredibly personable and easy to work with.Not only did this electrician quickly diagnose any issue, but he also took the time to educate me about my furnace and A/C unit. The repairman customer service skills were severely lacking. It felt like all he wanted was to pump us for more money. Even after $1,000 we were still left with a non-functioning AC system. Felt like we were being fleeced.

Damion came to our house. Found problem and suggested repair and cost. Still figuring out how to pay for AC repair. Repair not done yet and business not used yet. Used prior on furnace repair and was great.

We have a water heater with a finicky pilot light. We had Michael out to take a look and he walked me through all the steps, so I can hopefully troubleshoot on my own next time. BEWARE!!! This company preys upon homeowners who don't know better and call them for their professional opinion - they'll take advantage of them (especially elderly women) who put their trust in this company to be professional and give ethical advice and options - which they don't.My elderly mother called Applewood when her water heater was having issues and not providing hot water. Applewood came and told her she needed a new hot water heater, redo all her pipes, and install a whole new vent unit - Quoted $14,000!!!!!!The hot water heater was flashing a code, we made a call REM's hotline and the REM tech said the code was for a blocked/dirty vent. We took apart the vent, cleaned, put back together and the water heater worked just fine.You'd think the professional would have looked into every issue before quoting $14,000 - but it seems their business model is to take advantage of people and rip them off!I would NOT recommend Applewood and don't trust them as a company to provide trustworthy service to anyone!!!!BEWARE! An unethical company that gets its money from preying upon people who unfortunately put their trust in them as 'professionals' - when they are scammers!!!!(Also when called to talk with a manager and address the issue, the reception said no need to talk to the manager because they didn't bill us... they obviously do not care about over quoting or giving wrong advice because they'd rather scam people to gain a profit rather than provide professional and trustworthy service)

Beware Applewood's sales tactics, deceptive fees, and sales pressure. If you called an automotive mechanic and asked how much they charge for an oil and filter change on your car and they told you they would need to see the car in person and charge you $29 for the estimate, would you trust them? I wouldn't.I called Applewood to get an estimate on a routine sewer main clean-out to clear some grease buildup found during a sewer scope. I told the sales agent everything he needed to know for an estimate just like I told three other reputable companies who gave me pricing over the phone: it's a typical 3 main with cast iron under the house and poly outside into the city main, easily accessible 3 clean-out, 30' long of cast iron and 50' of poly, and the scope showed the main to be in excellent condition aside from the grease buildup. The sales agent told me that they don't provide estimates or even price ranges over the phone and that a technician would have to come to the house and write up an estimate. He then tried to get me to schedule the appointment before I asked if there was a service charge for this estimate. He said there was a $29 service charge if I didn't agree to have the technician perform the estimated work. Yeah, I'll pass. The three other companies were more than capable of providing me with an estimate or estimated price range over the phone based off what I told them about the main while still explaining that if they ran into an issue the price might change. The company I ended up hiring performed the work without issue and charged me exactly what he quoted me over the phone.Applewood's sales technique of requiring a $29 in-person estimate for something as basic as a non-emergency sewer clean-out when they have all the information about the sewer is unprofessional in that it tries to pigeonhole unsuspecting people into hiring them on the spot in order to avoid a $29 service charge. I completely understand that a contractor needs to see a project in person to estimate complicated jobs, but they should be able to provide an estimate or estimated price range over the phone for a typical sewer clean-out, toilet installation, etc. The fact that Applewood cannot estimate such jobs over the phone tells me they use the $29 services charges to strong-arm people into becoming customers.My recommendation is to find a reputable company who can give you either a firm estimate or price range over the phone for very basic services. If Applewood is so quick to demand $29 before the job even starts, I don't want to know what fees and labor they tack on once you hire them.

Applewood Technician, Christian, gave my 1996 HVAC system a complete tune up, which included a thorough exam + long overdue maintenance cleaning of the high mileage A/C compressor, that has seen better days. He's meticulous and explained to me in details throughout the entire process of the diagnosis, recommended repairs to the completion of a very complex project. The HVAC system runs like a champ! Thank you very much!

Scheduled appt for replacement of split pipe. I called them because my expensive plumber wanted to charge me $450 to repair, and my regular plumber is out of town till mid May. He is T&M and said it would be about $75-100 in parts and about $150 in labor + service call. So I called Applewood, figuring they would be comparable. They came out and wanted nearly $900 for an hour job with less than $100 parts. Said no thank you and won't be calling them again. Completely outrageous. My expensive plumber did it for less than half that.

We were fortunate to call and have a technician in our home 90 minutes later. Zach was extremely courteous and friendly. He did all that we could have asked for when the furnace went out on a cold day.

The tech that came out to give us a bid to replace our hot water heater was polite and professional. He walked us through everything that he would do to replace it. Then he gave us a bid for it and it was $5,000 more than any other place and that was only if we paid $200 for their membership (add over a $1,000 without it). I appreciate their friendliness and how quick they came out but their price for a hot water heater was ridiculous

Dave Jameson was our plumber with over 19 years of experience, fantastic knowledge, skills and a service ethos. Dave was engaging, experienced and licensed - something Applewood requires for everyone on their team. That matters. They also back their work with solid warranties and the best materials or products to be installed. Highly recommend.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, I REPEAT DO NOT USE THEM. I had a water back up in my basement last week, and I needed a plumber to come out and determine the cause of the leak for insurance purposes. They sent out a technician named Kyle, who ironically was training someone. He proceeded to regenerate my water softener to see if the sump pump would drain the contents. Everything was in working order when the technician jostled the sump pump and caused the float to hang up on the side of the basin. The technician who messed with my water softener, which he admitted he wasn't familiar with (he was reading the manual). He left the water softener in a cleaning/regenerative mode, so when he left it drained again and the sump pump which he messed with didn't kick on, and flooded my basement again. I called the company and they sent out the same incompetent technician and of course he said it wasn't his fault. All I was asking was for them to pay the company that I had to used to clean the first flood, to clean it again. The customer relations manager named Jennifer was very condescending and rude, again said it wasn't their fault. I should of never used them to begin with, because my neighbors warned me of they're incompetence from past experiences. With so many choices out there for plumbers, I strongly recommend you look else ware.

Applewood is not the last expensive company you can go with but if you choose them, you can rest easy knowing they do great work and take care to respect your home. You get what you pay for and I will continue to call these guys for all of my plumbing, HVAC and electrical needs.

By good I mean professionals (like Jaime) who call before they come within a given window, ask to be shown the system, provide and stick to pricing before they begin work, have tricks to get around issues that inexperienced people can't, come with all the needed equipment, are polite and focused, as well as support local business by asking for and eating at local restaurants. I also use Applewood for my furnace. My experience with that was exactly the same. I highly recommend this company.

Furnace wouldn't work and a snow storm was approaching. Applewood technician was available at a convenient time. Communication from their end was stellar. Thankfully, the problem was easily remedied, but they also replaced the batteries in the thermostat, replaced the furnace filter, and cleaned the insert technical word here without even charging the $29 service fee! Hunter (the technician) was right on time, thorough, took pride in his work. Very professional and easy to understand. I generally prefer to work with family-run businesses, but you just can't beat this kind of customer service.

Travis Jordan came to replace our 50 year old faucets for our washer and dryer. He was very efficient and courteous. He explained what he was doing and any options in a way we could easily understand. He was careful with his tools to avoid any damage. He did a great job and everything works perfectly. We would highly recommend him for any plumbing job!

Brett did a great job finding and repairing a pipe leak, caused by recent deep freeze. 10 on a scale of 1 - 10. Jason did a great job replacing the valve on an ancient claw foot tub, which included three separate trips getting the right parts for our unique installation, and making it far more useful to us. Again, 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. Dean, Devon, and Sean all did great work installing a new furnace in a single day, staying into the evening to finish the job so we would not need to go to a hotel overnight. All 10s on a scale of 1 to 10.

Hi I have used Applewood in the past and am part of their membership program. I called to have 3 leaking faucets repaired and happened to mention that I may be selling my home. Apparently it is their policy to tack-on a $198 Home Sale fee anytime a customer mentions they may sell their home. I am going to use another plumber for the repairs, despite having already paid for the membership program, because I don't want to pay an extra $200 when I may not sell my home in the end!Totally ridiculous - do NOT mention that you may or may not sell your home when dealing with Applewood!

He identified and corrected a previous job (different company) that was not correct. Was the only tech from 4 companies who offered solutions to fix my hot water heater before replacing, which I appreciated. That being said, none of them worked, although he warned they wouldn't. Still appreciated. End of day, same hot water heater from 4 companies Applewood was $10,000k over the next bidding price. $10,000+ for a hot water heater!

Greatly disappointed in Applewood. My father had his high efficiency boiler “serviced” before fall and winter come. They failed to descale the unit as per manufacture instructions and they wanted to charge him $600 to replace the condensate neutralizer. I had him purchase new media on Amazon for $37.00 and took the 10 minutes to change it out. They used to call that highway robbery.

Called sun morning, was told someone would be out between 3-5pm. Received a call to ask is they could come early. Fixed in a few minutes, and he did a full look over to see if everything was working properly. Very simple fix, a great relief. Technician was friendly, professional and thorough. I am glad we chose Applewood Heating and Plumbing.

Alan Clayton of Applewood PHE was excellent at diagnosing our problem , discussing our options, educating us and repairing a difficult pipe-valve leak in an old home. The company provides excellent service in terms of scheduling, on time arrivals, follow-up calls and very fair pricing.

Make sure you ask about service fees before you even schedule an appointment..Was going to have them come out because the blower on my furnace went out and their service fee is $29 but because I put my house for sale last week they want to charge a service fee of $190.. how do they figure that just because my house is on the market that they can charge me an extra $170.. that's absolutely ridiculous.. and talk about price gouging.. can't even imagine how much more they would they and bend me over for if they actually did work.

I was told someone was going to be at my house the day after I called. It's been three days. No one has called to reschedule. I tried to reschedule and have received no respace back.Had to take my business to Fix-It 24/7.

That turned out to be only part of the problem.After the initial cleaning, we were still experiencing backed up drains. Jaime and Donovan returned THE SAME DAY to update their diagnosis and discovered that more comprehensive work was required to fix the issue. Our 100+ year old Denver home has, it turns out, TWO sewer lines to the street! Yay!Applewood's quote was presented quickly and clearly. Work commenced 4 days - including a weekend - after we approved the quote. There was one price shown to complete the project.A competitor was significantly higher for the same scope of work (another story entirely) and that quote included a provision that allowed for a $10k increase in price if such and such conditions were found after they broke ground. No thanks!Jaime, Donovan, Diego and their hard-working team arrived on time, completed the work in one day, and were extremely professional and respectful of our property and that of our next door neighbor. The service was great and Dell was wonderful, but it was $7100 to have our water heater replaced (Jan of ‘23). Considering a water heater is about a grand from Home Depot, I would consider shopping around for quote before solidifying a company to replace your water heater. We had a water heater replaced in our last home in 2018, and it cost about a third of the price. Not sure what the discrepancy was because we didn’t get an itemized receipt, but not too happy about the price. Otherwise good experience.

I had such a good experience in June 2022 with the technician John H. That I requested him again and he was nothing but stellar. Courteous, punctual, knowledgeable, honest, and overall professional are to name a few traits. A competitor company had significantly higher prices with less than half the quality provided. We will definitely be utilizing John and this company moving forward. Please give this man a cookie and a raise!

I wanted a second opinion on an issue that the first company I hired told me there was no easy solution to fix and that I would need to completely replace my floor drain. After applewood came out they were able to fix the issue immediately saving me $1000s. They were also way more fair and didn’t charge anything without running the price by me which the first company also did not do. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I called yesterday since my toilet was leaking , the dispatch called me 3 times to make sure I knew my set appointment was today at 9am. The plumber Scott showed up at 9am , ready to go and super friendly . He gave me an estimate on the cost and got right to work after we agreed . I was unpleasantly surprised by a leaking water heater on a Sunday morning and they were able to send a guy out to fix it that day. Wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for. The person they sent out explained the situation, described how they were going to fix the problem, and got the job done on the spot.

Applewood Plumbing has been great! They converted our florescent lighting to LED, replaced a light fixture, re-wired our electrical panel, and fixed plumbing under two of our sinks. We called for service and they had a next day appointment. Ty did a great job of quickly fixing a kitchen sink leak and then crawling under our crawl space 3x to fix our sump pump. He was a good sport. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. He expressed several times how much he loves working for Applewood. That was good to hear. He gave us a quote before he started working and even replaced a light bulb and vacuumed in our crawl space. Will use Ty and Applewood again.

Just had my worst experience working with Applewood!Called in for a dripping faucet, and they quote $651 for a job that would take about an hour, what I was told. Out of that price, only $120 for parts, less than 20%.I declined, and I called their office after I paid the $29 fees. The lady on the phone then tells me that their service isn't for everyone 🙄

Quoted me $475 to replace the hose connecting my water heater to my gas line. This is a $5 part and a 5 minute job. I understand there is travel time, insurance other overhead, etc, but this is egregious to the point of theft.

There was a plastic tube running from the water heater to the humidifier. Twice recently it had leaked. This time, the tube cracked, resulting in water being sprayed into the mechanical room. I called this morning and Mark arrived within the day. He quickly replaced the plastic tube with a copper one. I think this will solve the problem. I appreciated his efficiency and good humor.

I used to be a loyal customer of Applewood but after my most recent experience I will never use this business again. I encourage anyone considering Applewood to not give it your business. It was unethical, including that it lied about attempting to fix a water heater and then needing to charge more money to try again. A plumber from a different company was able to quickly and professionally assess the problem while charging $350 instead of the $4100 Applewood was going to charge. I gave Applewood a chance to investigate the matter to keep my business and it concluded its service performance and quotes were reasonable. Beware and never use this business!**Update—I see Applewood has responded to my review suggesting there is confusion about the matter. The only confusion lies with how this business has treated my request for investigation and attempts to resolve this privately. In our last interaction, it told me it stands by its service and discounted my reasonable complaints. I fully disagree with how this was handled. If this business remains confused, it has my number and can contact me directly.

Corbin did good work, had good attention to detail and was very neat. Completed warranty repair (replaced fixture) and we were very satisfied.

I am changing my 5 star review to a 1 star review. Home Buyer Beware! Although they have a smooth service booking process, they are not qualified to keep your house safe. The day after their tech left, our carbon monoxide detector went off and we had to evacuate the house and call Xcel. The Xcel person said there were over 1000 parts per million in our boiler room and that Applewood should have tested this before they left. We could have been killed or hospitalized. This company is NOT helping homeowners and should not be hired for boiler repair. The technician left me with a $44,000 estimate without explaining what he did or anything about the VERY SERIOUS issue we had. Shame on you Applewood!

Jonathan Coons replaced our electrical panel, upgraded our electrical service and replaced a switch for our attic fan. He came promptly and worked three days. He explained everything needed and why. We feel confident that the work was done properly. Jonathan was pleasant to have coming and going through our home and he did not interrupt our daily routine. Craig was on time, very professional and knowledgeable and just a very nice guy. He problem shot the issue we are having with our showers hot water not working properly and made several suggestions as to why this might be happening. We had a major drain blockage and had water backing up into our basement. Applewood had someone out within a couple hours and fixed the problem. They also fixed another plumbing problem we had while they were out. The place was left clean and tidy. We were very happy with the work done and the professionalism of the people that came.

Furnace stopped working on a Saturday. Applewood had their repairman, Nate, out within a couple hours. Quickly figured out the problem, went and got the parts, and completed the repair. Entire process took less than 3 hours. Nate was polite, knowledgeable and efficient. Would definitely use them again.

Had a quote done for a small electrical job to add some additional outlets for a new stove location. Was quoted $4500-$6000 for less than a day's work. Have multiple other quotes from other service providers for 1/4 the price. Insulted by the predatory pricing. The $29 service fee for the estimate is the only money I think I'll ever be giving this company. Wouldn't even consider getting an estimate from them again.

Dustin is an excellent boilerman, rare in Colorado. He was also professional, informative, reasonable, and efficient. I know they are a bit higher priced, but i'm going to live here a long time and that seems to be paying off.

So, we've used Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric for one of our rental units. The Pros are they schedule quickly, they were spot-on time the first time and the second time they had to reschedule numerous times due to running behind. That said--they let us know in advance they were running late and handled the matter as best they could. They do not provide written estimates and they do not break down their invoice parts & labor. To replace a Kohler Shower Cartridge / Temperature regulator (a part that is $50.00 - there was no written estimate at the time they are on site - they just quoted the job at $666.00. To be clear, they went out ONCE, called us w/ total price. We were traveling and just wanted it to be fixed so we moved forward with the work, only to find out that 2 other companies would have charged $89/hour + parts and $99/hour x 2 hours + the part respectively. (1/3 of the cost that Applewood PH&E charged. They called immediately after the job was complete asking if we were satisfied, it wasn't until 9 days later after calling twice that we were able to get an invoice. No transparency and 3X the cost of 2 other places. I would avoid Applewood in the future unless you like to pay too much.

I just moved into a house in the Denver area and needed a full system checkup as we were having some issues with a loud blower fan. Everything about the experience with Applewood was great, I called on a Friday and they were available as soon as the following day. The technician arrived right on time, checked everything very thoroughly and identified the root cause of the fan noise. He even cleaned the AC unit and fixed the humidifier for no extra charge. I’ll definitely be using them for all my HVAC needs, this was easily the best experience I’ve ever had in this category.

Over $5,000 to replace a $1000 water heater which only took a few hours is ridiculous. Was only provided very expensive options and forced to pay for a warranty. Like getting taken advantage of? Call Applewood!

Damian fixed my heater and thermostat and took my house from 61 degrees to its normal 70 degrees. Plus with the membership it was no charge! Never had any problems with Applewood, they have been affordable for needing to make repairs and their service plan is very helpful.

I was having issues with no hot water on a 2 yr old tank. Calling late in the afternoon I was able to get an appointment for the same evening. Not knowing what was the issue, I was informed that the service trucks are fully supplied and stocked so any repairs would be completed that evening. No waiting for parts. 👍The technician that came out was Robert. He did an outstanding job of troubleshooting obviously starting with simple/minor issues. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and informative as he explained to me and my son.Later that evening when I received a call back from the office, I told them the same and without a doubt if needed again, Applewood will be my first call!Working for the same company, I’m sure all the technicians have the same customer service, but I would have to request Robert. 👍👍

They replaced our sewer line which had been backing up repeatedly, a big, complex and potentially very dangerous job, all in one day including passing two city inspections. Unlike a number of companies who worked on the problem previously, Applewood's combination of advanced technology and highly experienced workers allowed them to determine in advance exactly what the problems in the line were and propose two possible solutions. We were able to go with the less expensive one and achieve a very satisfactory result with a lifetime guarantee. Applewood dispatched an electrician (Cody) within minutes of my call. Cody was fantastic. He was friendly, knowledgeable, took extra time to answer questions and learn about my concerns. He even took time to educate me about my system. Since Applewood charges by the project, not the hour, there was no sense of rush. Their electricians are not working on a commission, so there was no pressure to sell. Cody quickly fixed my immediate concern, and helped me troubleshoot two other issues. I will be calling (and requesting Cody) in the future for several future projects as I expand my system.

Greg is the greatest plumber ever! So professional and genuinely helpful. We have a house from 1951 and it’s got some quirks to say the least. He helped repair our burst pipe and strategize ways to avoid future leaks with these old cPVC pipes. He took a look at a few other things around the house and gave us really simple solutions on how to fix them ourselves (which have worked!) I called and spoke to a real and professional person who helped me get an appointment within the day. The time frame given was reasonable and I was called when the tech was on his way. Also received a text with tech info. The technician arrived on time and listened to me explain my issue with the furnace. He explained it was a common issue and he would do a thorough checkup. I joined the gold member club last summer when they came out to do repair on my AC. After he cleaned and ran tests he showed me what the results were and that my check up was part of my membership and there would be no fee. I appreciated all the excellent service and felt I was well informed and got good value for money I previously paid. I will definitely recommend their services to anyone! Well done Applewood!

A 500 dollar quote to unclog a sink drain. Is unbelievable, after refusing to give pricing information until they are on call so you have to pay a fee. The quote came straight from a book upon arrival without even seeing the drain in question.

We very recently had issues with our furnace. We had no heat. We called several companies, who were either not able to come on a weekend or who would charge hundreds of dollars just to come out and look at it. (Because it was weekend/after hours). I called Applewood Saturday morning and they had someone come out Saturday afternoon to look at it. She assured me the trip charge is always $29, and if we got work done, that charge would roll into the work. That is Amazing! One company was going to charge $380 just to come out on a weekend.Jeremy Hobbs was the tech that came to our house. I appreciated the phone calls letting me know he was on his way, as well as the email and text with his picture and bio. Jeremy was very pleasant to deal with and talk to. He very quickly diagnosed the problem. Unfortunately the part we needed was not on his truck. He assured us he would try to find the part the next day, and if he found it he would be there to install. Sure enough he called on Sunday. He found the part and was at our house that afternoon to get our heat back on.I am super happy with the customer care we received and with our service tech Jeremy. Both times that I’ve used Applewood, I’ve been incredibly impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the technicians. The people setting the appointments on the phone seem to be humans who actually enjoy working with the public. I needed an emergency response and they kept their appointment on time within only a couple of hours of my call! Very impressive! I’ve heard they run on the expensive side… but I believe sometimes you get exactly what you pay for. No nonsense, fair & thorough explanations of the work needed, appropriate behavior in the home, fun attitude while working. Loved it. As much as a person could love a surprise plumbing bill.

Which he went ahead and actually rebuilt the full undersink system as well.Jeremy has provided plumbing services for our home thrice before and we request him to return due to his high level of knowledge, skills and experience.We had 3 toilets replaced to highest quality, installed in one day, along with several small miscellaneous plumb repair services that had accumulated over time. Also, hot water heater and associated systems.Provided professional and courteous service at reasonable rates, for the superior service. 🇺🇸

I highly recommend Applewood. Our water heater was leaking and they came out same day and replaced. I have to admit I was shocked at the expense but after the job was done and I saw what was involved and what was included in their service, they definitely do everything possible for what they are charging. The next day unfortunately a pipe started leaking from air in the pipes but David came right back out and he replaced the whole pipe at no additional charge. David was super friendly, explained everything he was doing and why. Now I know why they charge higher price, because they do a first class job and stand by their work.

He also cleaned the blower fan that was caked in 16 years of dust. He did a great job and discovered that our floor drain was blocked. He called Alan to come out and unblock the drain. Alan took care of the issue in a few minutes without any problems. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Applewood, Christian or Alan to any of my family or friends.

These guys have saved my bacon twice now, in a house I've recently purchased. Both incidents, involving valves and pipes in our home, were emergency issues that they were able to fix same day- at no additional charge. Always friendly, always professional, and honest about what they are doing, they are the real deal, and I never feel yanked around or upcharged. Though they are a bit expensive, I feel like it's worth it for their level of knowledge and professionalism. Customer for life.

I had such a terrible experience with them. They came out for a slow flushing toilet. They told me the toilet should be replaced (for about $2500!). I've replaced toilets myself. It's not hard. There's not reason it would cost that much. Then the plumber tried to tell me the toilet was actually leaking and damaging the floor. There was no moisture, and it's vinyl flooring, so, not true. Then he told me that my house is really old, and you just don't know, maybe the pipes in the walls (in a completely different part of the house) were leaking. I asked why he would think that, he said he didn't know, but it's possible... Yikes. When it was clear I wasn't going for the $2500 option, he told me he could just replace the tank parts, for $800, plus cleaning out the line for another $200. He tried to get me to sign up for the membership, too. In less than 2 minutes he told me that he would definitely replace the toilet if it was his house, then that he would definitely replace the tank components of it was his house. My friend was here and after he left I asked if she heard the same thing, and she verified I wasn't losing my mind.I was so incredibly offended by this company, I will NEVER call them again. Ever. I found several other plumbers happy to do either job for a fraction of the cost Applewood quoted. And they charged me $30 for the pleasure of the consult.It seems like the plumber must get a cut of the sale, so they want to convince you to spend more, even if the service isn't really needed.I was also late to a meeting because he disappeared into his truck for 20 minutes and I couldn't find him.

Jon was Great... not so sad about Applewoods cost, proposal. tomer supplied doorbell. They wanted $433.08 to chaged out the transformer. (Transformers are under 50 bucks) $825.10 total. That's a club member price. Do they think people are that stupid to pay $825 for a hour of labor and under 50 in parts.I learned that I must of gotten screwed when I paid them for a furnace repair during a deep freeze this winter.Always look elsewhere, Forget Applewood.I found a company for my doorbell install... $149.00.Goodbye Applewood.

I have used Applewood Plumbing for several years. Josh came to do yearly maintenance on my furnace. I knew my furnace was getting old. When i asked about getting it replaced, he was very professional and told me the pro and cons of replacing it. I agreed it was time for a new furnace. He scheduled time to get my replacement. With the team of Josh, Jose and Mike the installation was done without a hitch. Representatives like Josh is why I will always use Applewood Plumbing.

I needed to get my swamp cooler winterized, and being someone who's never lived in a home with a swamp cooler before, Jeff was very informative, patient, and responsive to my questions and concerns. He provided options and advice that helped me make decisions with ease. He even showed up with shoe covers, ready to wear inside my home. It was a solid professional experience.

Michael did a great job replacing the tub faucet and shower head. He also solved two problems we had been having with two of our toilets. Once again, we're happy with the Applewood crew and service.

Ownership should be disgusted with their attempt to take advantage of property owners.Have a rental property and tenants stated garbage disposal needed to be looked at and a bathroom sink was clogged. Was told by the Applewood rep that the entire garbage disposal needed to be replaced and re-pipped. Was quoted almost 2K to complete the work. Called a local handy man and after his visit I was advised this was borderline fraud. The garbage disposal needed to have a few bottle caps removed and the bathroom sink was unclogged and repaired with $30 worth of a supplies. Handyman total charge was $75.Appalled and disgusted at Applewood Plumbing and Heating for their blatant attempt to take advantage of a property owner. I can only image how many people have received worst case scenario advise like this. Do yourself a favor and give your trust and business to someone else.

Sean Maggard was one of the most professional, compassionate, and trustworthy technicians I have ever experienced. I have a broken leg, and my furnace went out. He went above and beyond to keep the cost as low as he can, but reiterated to get my furnace back working certain things needed to be done. His knowledge, ability to explain technical information to a lay person, and his ability to start from the most cost effective way to making the furnace worked has a customer for life now. I had Applewood in to fix a problematic drain clog on my kitchen sink that was starting to be a real problem. Greg provided great service, was knowledgeable, professional, and solved it within an hour. I would say though that Applewood feels like it's on the high side of the pricing scale. I guess you get what you pay for but be aware they are not cheap.

Jeremy showed up on time and well equipped. Jeremy finished wiring in my whole house humidifier for me. He was very friendly and professional. 10/10 will be asking for Jeremy by name for my next plumbing project.

Came home at 4:00 PM to a blown water heater and Brett was at the house by 5:15 PM on a night leading into the holidays with bitter cold weather anticipated. He returned at 8AM (our request…. I called a third-party company and they told me my furnace is broken and I had to buy a new one. I wanted to get a second opinion so I contacted Applewood. Daniel Bush figured out the issue right away and even stayed for a while to make sure it stayed on. He was very thorough and it turns out I don’t need a new furnace. Applewood has completely gained my trust and I will use them for all my HVAC needs and probably plumbing and electrical. All thanks to Daniel Bush.

Applewood's sewer scope specialist, Dell, was here today as a follow-up to Applewood's residential plumber, Jakob, who was here yesterday to clear a clog in my mainline. Both were impressive, but this review is about Dell, especially. He camera scoped my mainline after yesterday's plumbing service. Dell answered ALL of my questions about the integrity of my mainline. I learned so much and feel so relieved: no breaks in my line, no tree roots, my line is cast iron piping, not terra cotta piping, where the bends are in my mainline, etc. AND I now have a USB thumb-drive of the camera's scope of my mainline!! I have proof of my line's status in May of 2023! I can't tell you how much this professional reassurance means to me. Kudos to JAKOB, the Applewood residential plumber who cleared my clogged mainline yesterday and, again, to DELL for Applewood's follow-up sewer-line scope service this next day. I highly recommend Applewood!

He provided an estimate of the cost to install our recently acquired water descaling system. Estimated cost was considerably more than we thought that it would be due to the simple nature of the installation process per the instructions.

Jovanni showed up same day to my home as he was called. When he arrived, he looked carefully at what was going on with my sump pump. He didn't just take my word for what was wrong, he ran tests on his own and explained additional circumstances of what was happening and what could happen. I was already in the mindset to hire him and get this pump repaired and to have the water leave my home, however, he wanted to make sure that he took the time to explain my options before I jumped to a conclusion. He detailed out information and because I had a rare piece for the cover of my sump pump hole, he immediately got on the phone and made calls. We had to special order the cover and I let him know what I wanted. He ordered what he could and went above and beyond to design a cover that was safe and that provided me with my request. He took his time and kept in communication with me along the way letting me know that the part was ordered and when the part had arrived. We set a time for him to come back and he arrived right on time. He gave me an estimate of departure time and he was done in the time frame. I never felt led astray and he was even respectful of my home by wearing booties. Who does that anymore? Thank you Jovanni for your respect and help along the way! I am so happy with my new Sump Pump!

After our furnace stopped working we called Applewood and they sent a Technician to our home within a few hours for a very reasonable price. Daniel was able to assess the problem and stayed several hours until the issue was fixed and completed. He was very courteous and professional.

Furnace went out early Christmas morning. Applewood was the only company to answer their phone. Scheduled service for morning after Christmas and had Furnace back up and running in a couple of hours.Tech was professional, listened to what I found was broken and verified that was all. Left for part and installed within two hours.Tech cleaned up after himself and made sure everything was working correctly. As any company with great technicians, you are going to pay a little more then others. A fee I'm glad to pay for that responsive service!

I called Applewood this afternoon about a non-urgent plumbing issue, and by the end of the working day, the issue was completely repaired. This was such a relief after six months of battling my home warranty company that chose to side with a very rude and dishonest contractor. Applewood's speed and professionalism can't be matched, and I have peace of mind with their generous warranty. The plumber they sent, Brett, was very knowledgeable and friendly (thanks for letting me vent, sharing a few laughs, and giving me some great ideas moving forward!). Can't recommend Applewood enough!

Had to pick a new company for our HVAC needs. I chose Applewood based on online reviews and other recommendations. I do not regret that decision. Christine was the tech that came out for our annual furnace inspection. She was punctual, informative, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. You could tell right away that she really knows her trade well, and that meant a great deal to me as a customer. Due to medical matters, I’m having to assume care of my parents’ house. There’s a lot to do, and working with people like Christine makes things much easier.

Woke up to no furnace this morning and the expectation of very low temperatures over the weekend. I called Applewood at a little after 8:00, and they had a technician in my house by 10:00 — with furnace running by 10:30. That’s why I call Applewood when I have heating or plumbing issues. Also very friendly and efficient technicians.

Nate did a fabulous job. He answered all my questions and explained things very well. He was very professional. He got my heater working on a Sunday when temperatures were supposed to drop below zero.

Super pleased with the service we received from Applewood. Nate was informative and honest. We had a valve leak in our radiant floor system and had a pretty good idea what the issue was, but wanted a professional opinion. He confirmed that we could do the repair ourselves with the parts we had already purchased and avoid a costly bill if they were to complete the job. He also caught that our water pressure was too high (which we had confirmed in our purchase inspection a couple months back) and explained the risk/benefits without any sort of scare tactics. We decided to hire them to complete that work and will be returning to them for any future plumbing needs. The other plumber we contacted was trying to get us on the hook for $2,500 of work that wasn’t necessary I’m addition to the $1k+ cost of valve replacement and didn’t bother to check the pressure in our system.

Called for a blocked line. After making an attempt, they quoted me over $11,000 to dig up and repair a 10-ft section. I call the secondary plumber who got the problem fixed for $400.Another price comparison point: cleaning out that line was an $1,100 charge. Another company charge me $170.If you're going to use these people you're paying for their advertising budget. Not their expertise. Particularly given their expertise is wrong to the tune of trying to charge me $9,000 more than they needed to.The kicker: there was a coupon on their website I tried to use for the service they did complete. Their tech belittled me by saying I guess if money's that important to you I'll find a way to discount it.

This company is amazing and the technician is great! This is an honest company who will not take advantage of you. I called for a second opinion after one company quoted $2000, and Rachel fixed the problem for a few hundred. She has been to my house twice and even remembered us a year later. I have used the company three times and every experience was excellent.

William did an excellent job troubleshooting the issue that was preventing my furnace from coming on. He explained exactly how he would fix it and gave me an estimate for the work. Since it was just replacing the thermostat, I decided to do it myself since I was already remodeling and doing a bunch of electrical work. He didn’t even charge me for the drive out plus diagnosing the problem. I’ll definitely call them back soon for a complete furnace inspection this winter and for the eventual replacement.

Stay away from Applewood.Had them check my furnace as it was leaking water after a big rain storm. They told me my 2 year old furnace/AC needed to be replaced and quoted me $25,000. Had Smith and Willis look at it and found a piece of tape blocking the drain hole. Said the unit was fine and charged $120.00 for the inspection and minor repair of the drain pipe. He also said a unit like mine would be $11,000 IF it needed to be replaced.

Extremely good. A 'small' leak my wife wanted look at turn out to be a much larger issue. Bruce handled it with expertly.

We had both a plumber and HVAC expert come out and both diagnosed the issues and solved the problem in a timely and most cost effective manner.

This place is very professional and will help you in a pinch. They will also charge you $1000 to replace a garbage disposal… that seems a little excessive to me. I had an allen wrench jam buster handy and the service man told me to return it because it won’t work on this model. I wonder why they would do that 🤔.

Luke Scanlon was the technician who came out for my AC and I definitely give him 5 stars for the excellent job he did. He is very knowledgeable, professional and polite. Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric is always my go to company for installation, maintenance and repairs.

Nick was knowledgeable, honest, and did the job well. He gave us good advice too!

It was so lovely having someone listen to my goals for the project, sit down and present options to resolve the issue, and allow me time to weigh the options as I couldn’t make up my mind. Was having an issue with my furnace and Mat the technician was able to find a loose wire. once found he also completed a diagnostics to make sure that was the issue. Furnace is working fine now. Very happy with the service and Mat was really nice and easy to work with.

We needed some work on our furnace and Christian Hall came out almost immediately. He quickly diagnosed the problem and even figured out that our humidifier was not wired correctly, so had probably never worked since its installation in 2018. He quickly fixed the wiring so everything will function correctly for winter. Great guy and I highly recommend!

Daniel was careful. He checked conditions prior to beginning work to assure that work could proceed successfully. He advised me of options and then followed my wishes. He did not try to upsell the work. He was professional and courteous.

Dell was knowledgeable, professional and on time. He was very patient and moved rocks as I was unable to remember exactly where the yard clean outs were located. Dell was very thorough and explained what he was doing. He answered questions and showed me the problem on his video camera. When he was done he gave my dog a tasty treat shaped like your trucks!

You have a annual paid up service agreement with this business that covers overall plumbing services. But then $29 per visit becomes additionally required regardless of the annual fee. Nowyour clogged kitchen sink will not be fixed after an hour of prowling around your property noting any other 'repair Issues' that also require fixing'. Any objection to this behavior is met with I can't unstop your stopped up kitchen sink you called us out for without doing these other 'repairs' at the same time. If you don't agree to this blackmail, your clogged up sink will not be unclogged and the paid-for annual service agreement will not be honored. The 'service technicians' will then Storm Off after wasting an hour of your time and leaving what YOU thought was the purpose of calling them left undone.

Ty was super professional, easy to talk to and super understanding when we struggled to find the water shut off valve. He worked fast and cleaned up after himself. I would recommend Ty to anyone. Super impressed

Jade was very professional and friendly. I have used Applewood P&H for several years now for plumbing, electrical and heating and have never been disappointed in the service. She was very thorough and explained everything in layman's terms. Thank you Jade for the excellent job!!

Our AC went out because Xcel hooked up a new box to it. Applewood found that the Xcel person had made bad electrical connections.

We are lifelong customers of Applewood for one very good reason. They are great. We have to to experience a bad technician and today was no exception. Punctual! Arrived promptly at the beginning of the service window. Thorough! Explained everything so my layman brain could understand. Polite! My mom is a senior & I'm a woman and more often than not we are seen as dollar signs instead of customers. Our technician took his time to answer all of our questions. We highly recommend them!

Applewood always does a great job. They are on time, explain what they will do, give firm quote and get the job done.

Christopher was on time, pleasant and thorough. He explained in detail what needed to be done, and the choices we had to fix the problem. We were given two different options and their costs, and what guarantees would come with each. He was efficient and and fast.

Both Jonathan and Bruce did an excellent job. And after they finished the job they answered all my questions and showed me everything they had done.

Friendly but quoted $165 to swap in a USB outlet into an existing outlet. Which is literally just unscrewing about 5 screws and twisting a couple wires.

Of course, on the coldest day so far this year, my furnace was acting up. Sean texted on his way, arrived on time, spent time diagnosing the problem and answering all of my questions, fixed the issue, and made recommendations for other things that would be helpful to me and my family given the conversation we had. He was not pushy in trying to sell me anything, I really felt he was trying to be helpful. My issue was fixed for a reasonable price and I am so grateful they were able to get someone out to me right away. These guys will be my new go-to for my HVAC needs for sure!

UPDATE:After a rough start ended up using them for a couple jobs and the service and work quality were great. However, as they will communicate up front they are not the most inexpensive. I do put a premium on service and quality, but there is a limit. My last project was to replace a 1 vacuum breaker and they were twice as expensive as two other reputable companies. So if you are cost conscious might want to consider shopping around a bit.Set up a time with a 2:00 to 4:00pm window. They called me at 3:30 and asked to move to 4:00 to 6:00 window to which I agreed. Called me at 6:30 to say they still couldn't make it. Seems like they have plenty of business so you may want to consider another shop.

Daniel did an excellent job.He identified the problem and was able to address it immediately. He was professional and informative. He told me exactly what he would be doing and reviewed with me and showed me the areas he updated and fixed.If I need future electrical work, I'll be calling Applewood and requesting Daniel Pepe.

Stephen came out to help diagnose and correct an issue with our air conditioner. He was very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. He explained a lot along the way, which was much appreciated. He also wore a mask and shoe covers in our home. The office staff and dispatchers are very friendly on the phone as well. We had water leaking down the wall in our bedroom and had no idea where it was coming from and worse no idea how to find the source. It took Jaime about 5 minutes to figure what was happening, no digging in the walls to find out either. 40 minutes later.... issue fixed, done!

The electrician called before arriving, was professional and friendly, and promptly discovered the problem within 15 minutes. I couldn’t be happier with the service!

Ben mis-diagnosing the problem resulting inme unnecessarily replacing 3 smoke detectors at a high price. As the chirping reoccurred, Dan came out the next day and pinpointed the problem immediately.thank you for your comment- unfortunately Dan finding the problem doesn't help after spending $1,400+ for a mis-diagnosis and new smoke alarms that weren’t needed. If it would have been diagnosed correctly it would have only cost a hundred or so. Recommend using someone who takes ownership in the quality of service and doesn’t charge unnecessarily high prices.

Our AC stopped working & with this hot weather we’ve been having, it was absolutely miserable. I called Applewood in the late afternoon on a Sunday & they were able to schedule an appointment for the next day! I was very impressed with Nate, the HVAC repairman, as he knew how to fix the problem & get the AC running quickly. He showed me the problem & told me how he could fix it with my permission, which I gladly told him to fix it. I’m grateful for Applewood sending a well trained repairman to our rescue, so thank you so much!

Applewood did a very good job on our repair. We had a leak that required a change in a mixing valve, they came on time and finished the work quickly in the same day. The reason for the low review is that Applewood has switched to a pay by the service model and they do not provide any details into your bill. The result is what appears to me to be about $1000/hr in hour billing, as the work was completed in about 1.5 hrs, and the single part (which they had on hand in the truck) costs $100-$150. While they do good work, the billing rate is outrageous if there is not some other explanation. I did speak to Applewood customer service afterwards and they were unwilling to provide any further details (besides that they also provide a 24 month parts/service guarantee) or refute in any way my math that they are charging such a crazy hourly rate.

Charles was incredibly knowledgable and helpful. He was very respectful, honest, and professional. Not only did he gave me great tips to continue to maintain my A/C system in good working order, but the pricing was very fair. The company even waved the travel fee because they had to reschedule my tech appointment to the following day, which was very generous. Their customer service was the best! This will be my only A/C and plumbing company from now on!

Zack was great. He got our old furnace going again just by putting the old thermostat back on (we had gotten a new thermostat but I guess our old furnace didn't like it). Zack figured it out and didn't charge us. I will surely call them to replace the furnace in the future.

We needed a new garbage disposal and faucet and Applewood was able to come out the day after I called them to do the install and get some other plumbing up to code in the same trip. Not cheap, but I know it's done right.

Dealing with Applewood was quite easy, tech. was on time, polite, informative and addressed the issue. 2 stars only because of pricing. I am not sure what the standard for capacitor replacement is but 550$ seems out of ordinary. I had a same repair done on my rental for 230$. If you are savvy Applewood pricing might play a role as they seem to be 2x pricier than others.

Josh was fantastic. He was always very professional and accommodating, even when he had to come out multiple times due to extenuating circumstances. I would highly recommend him as an electrician.

I've had two great experiences with Applewood! The customer service is absolutely outstanding! They installed a new hot water heater and performed a furnace repair for me on another visit. I am willing to pay more for quality and great customer service -- they have both. They are definitely not the cheapest in town but you get what you pay for right??? Why would you cheap out on important appliances for your household?! Ben installed my hot water heater and Jeremy performed my furnace repairs. Excellent customer service from start to finish. They communicate clearly, quickly and honestly when they take your call, and actually listen to your questions, then keep you well informed of the timing of your visit. Nick did a great job as our plumber and was a pleasure to work with. Maybe not the cheapest option, but worth it to have trustworthy work with excellent service.

Have used Applewood several times to fix plumbing leaks and diagnose HVAC problems. They're expensive, but their quoted prices include all contingencies, so there is no surprise at the end. They are also available 7 days a week. They are also very honest about whether they're the best option - in one case, they recommended we get our AC system serviced by a certified dealer since it was still under warranty and it saved us thousands.

He did not try to sell me anything which was really appreciated. I would give Logan 10 out of 10 stars. I will only use Applewood for all my house problems.

Applewood was quick to respond to my plumbing emergency and had everything squared away in a couple of hours. Our plumber, Tony Silva, was great to work with and did a fantastic job fixing the hose bib that has ruptured. I will definitely be using him again!

There are not enough words for me to describe how Applewood PH&E exceeded my expectations when they replaced the sewer pipe at my home. Everyone in the office and onsite for the repair were flexible and easy to work with. Master Plumber Josh Cruz explained what problems needed to be corrected in my sewer line and exactly what steps Applewood would take to address those issues. Josh alleviated all of my concerns about having my yard trenched in order for them to do the sewer line replacement. Josh & the Applewood crew were at my home at the exact day & time they said they would begin and were there from the beginning of the job until it was completely finished. Everyone in the Applewood crew was excellent to work with. They kept me advised every step of the way. They were thorough, professional, and respectful of me and my home. They left my front yard in better shape than it was before they began! Josh & the crew took additional steps to ensure that a buried gutter line was properly re-routed so as not to leak and potentially harm the new sewer pipe install, they installed a water stop and cleanouts, and made certain that my yard's sprinkler system was intact. I am incredibly humbled by the hard work and quality that Josh & the Applewood team provided to me during this sewer line project. Applewood PH&E will be my first call for any future plumbing or home service repair needs because they are honest, and you can trust that they will do the job right.
