Mighty Bee Electric is awesome! Martin came out for an estimate to add a outlet in our garage. He explained to me everything he needed to do, was very friendly and honest, and came out a few weeks later and knocked it out himself. He is the Owner and did this project by himself!?! AWESOME!!! Martin showed me what he did and cleaned up after himself. I was very impressed and satisfied and will definitely use Might Bee in the future.

Andrew worked tirelessly to make sure the project was done right. We have a very old house with nontraditional wiring, and it was definitely not an easy job. However, Andrew rose to the challenge and figured out the solution. Andrew remained cheerful and professional throughout. He was easy to communicate with, professional, and very knowledgeable. We would highly recommend him!

My experience with Mighty Bee was overall frustrating, and as a result of their work we lost a month of solar generation because they turned it off and never turned it back on again.

The owner is hard of hearing and doesn't have a hearing aid. Every time we talked to him we needed to do it loud and then still he'd misunderstand until we explained twice more.

His diagnostic abilities are also sub-par. I'm not an electrician, but I was able to figure out what we were looking at and how to fix the issue before he did, and it took explaining the situation three times before he reluctantly agreed to do what I requested. It didn't seem like he ever believed me, but I proved to be correct.

Then they installed the wrong kind of breaker in a panel--a 50amp breaker where it was supposed to be 20amp--which is a really, really dangerous fire hazard. Luckily I noticed it and they replaced it, but that hardly inspired confidence.

During the indoor work we asked them to wear masks. The owner grumbled about the masks and made continuing snide comments about how masks don't work. Actually, they do, or you wouldn't have seen them on all medical workers for the past hundred years or so, but I digress...

Finally, after their work was complete, I discovered that one of the circuits they had modified had no power. It took another couple of days and then they came out and fixed that.

And just today we discovered that our solar wasn't generating. At all. They turned it off and left it off.

One or two of the above complaints and I would have let it slide. With this many things wrong with their visit, though, this was a disaster. Their pricing was decent for the work, but not worth the hassle and close management required to prevent serious problems.

Do not recommend.

This is the 4th time I've used Mighty Bee Electric for my installation needs. I've used them to install 5 ceiling fans and replace outdoor lights over the years. Both Mark and Don have helped me and both are excellent at their trade and provide a professional service for an excellent value. I'll continue using them in the future for my electrical projects.

Martin did a really good job locating an electrical problem that prevented our whole house fan from working. He did what was necessary (even when it was troublesome) by climbing into our attic through a vent to locate the problem. We are very satisfied also with his work to replace our aluminum wiring fixtures with copper pigtails. Thanks, Martin.

We had a very poor overall experience with Mighty Bee and I would not be able to recommend them based on this experience. I want to be fair to Mighty Bee that most of our issues came with what ended up being horrible customer service and follow up and not all work related. I was treated with defensiveness and outright contempt by Martin across multiple emails and phone calls after the service. I'm not overly sensitive, but I can't think of another experience where I was treated as the enemy simply by questioning the finished product which I was not happy with and had multiple code violations. We purchased an electrical panel upgrade for an older home we bought in Arvada that had a 1960s junction box. Things were fine in terms of initial quote and appointment set up. I got back from travel and the panel was upgraded and as he left the house he mentioned to me in passing he could upgrade my kitchen to GFI (which will be required for a house this old). But that was the last I heard from Might Bee. They admitted later that they flat out forgot to follow up not only with me to confirm everything went well but with the city for the required inspection. But that was only because I followed up a few weeks later after my GC informed me that most of what Mighty Bee completed would have to be redone and also that much of it was not to current code. I raised this with Mighty Bee and this is when things went south.

Again to be fair to Might Bee, a panel upgrade seems to be quite an arbitrary service based on what electrician you work with. I would highly recommend you do thorough research on not only what your home will need in total but what exactly is covered in the cost of a panel upgrade. Costs clearly vary based on inclusions. From my side of things and also 2 separate electricians (one who is simply my next door neighbor and had no financial skin in the game), Mighty Bee did the absolute minimum required in a box upgrade. The result was circuits were shared where they would normally (and now have been by another electrician) split so that half of the house didn't run on a double barred circuit. Things like running dryer lines separately are also required by current code, and by simply asking a few probing questions to the customer the electrician would should able to make recommendations about required upgrades, but genuinely upsell their own service. I got none of this from Might Bee. But when I questioned the work completed and cited advice from these other electricians, Martin at Mighty Bee reacted with anger and defensiveness, accusing the electricians of sabotaging his work, and calling them idiots and other accusations about trying to bad mouth him. Once again, one of the electricians was just a neighbor checking out our remodel. I didn't even ask him specifically, he took a look at the new box and brought up 5+ code violations and questions as to why Mighty Bee would have chosen to leave a new panel in that state given we were doing a full remodel and almost certainly would have a lot more electrical changes needed. As it turned out we did have to completely update the homes electrical set up. This meant that the work Mighty Bee completed has now been completely updated and we wasted $3,300 on the panel upgrade and had to deal with a complete jerk in Martin from Might Bee. To add insult to injury we told Mighty Bee we didn't want to have have them come back and requested a refund for the $370 to source a license (free and done online) and inspection, which he did over 3 weeks after the service, and only after I notified them. I requested a refund for that portion of the bill, to which he flatly refused with yet another contentious and rude email.

Once again, I want to say that inherently Mighty Bee's panel upgrade wasn't wrong. But again it was clearly the MINIMUM needed. Combine that with the responses we dealt with from Martin make it impossible for us to recommend Mighty bee.

Excellent work. Mighty Bee Electric replaced my breaker panel a few years ago, and all work was permitted and inspected. My neighbor used a different electrician who did not pull a permit or get the work inspected, and she is having electrical problems. You'll save money by having a licensed electrician do the work properly! Call MightyBee.

Martin is hard working, extremely knowledgeable in all things electrical, efficient, prompt, clean work zone and I could go on. The only thing I have done in my own house for the last 30 years is change the light bulbs. Everything else I call Martin.

Mighty Bee Electric was courteous & very helpful with a Casablanca fan replacement. The first visit they inspected and confirmed that the fan had fallen, when Casablanca sent a replacement fan they came back and installed it.
