AAARK Heating, Air & Plumbing

This is an overdue review but so happy with the work and service the guys at AAARK provided for us. Me and my husband were looking to convert a basement closet space to a second bathroom and after months of searching, knew we ended up with the right guys after meeting them. They dug up concrete, installed an ejector pit and got all the water lines running for the second bathroom. I also sprung for the warranty and maintenance check and there were a few things along the way they would point out and make other recommendations for which was helpful. Overall, super happy!

The team at AAARK are excellent! My home is a prefab from the 50's and NOTHING is an easy project.

My parents have had a variety of jobs done by AAARK and they (and I) have always been impressed by the quality of work, speed of service, and courtesy of the team. There was no question of who I would have perform the jobs.

Jimmy and Stuart upgraded my electrical service and combined two boxes into one. Unfortunately, my home has a very tight crawl space and attic, but they got the job done. They were able to really clean up the look, give me back some space on the wall, and set me up safely for some future home wiring projects.

Once the electrical was done, Travis and Chad were able to haul away my ancient furnace (they said they've only seen that model in the Lenox museum) and install a new, quieter, more efficient unit and thermostat.

While those items were being tackled, Nick and Michael installed a tricky shower door and made sure the majority of the plumbing of my long-term bathroom project were all in order.

The team will be out next week to install an evaporative cooler (6 years without any cooling system!) and I cannot wait to have that done and update this review.

Update 03/31: The team returned today and the evap cooler is installed and looks incredible. Very excited to have relief this year from the heat. It was placed out of sight from the front of the house and the registers are placed seamlessly to provide perfect airflow.

After a small schedule ing hiccup, which the receptionist was excellent at resolving, dalton came and repaired my Minisplit. He was attentive, communicated great and answered all of our questions. He was respectful of us and the space and even wiped all the finger prints off the unit when finished. The trip fee covered the cost for his time. I will use this company again in the future and would highly recommend them!

Aaark Total Home Services was called for no heat. The 15 year old furnace would have needed $1200 in repairs with no guarantees as to what may break next or when. The furnace was replaced, the 15 year old water heater was replaced preemptively and a new humidifier was put on the unit. A big project that Aaark Total Home Services managed expertly. They had five trucks to the house to get everything done in a day. They took excellent care of the house with runners and clean shoes/boots, and care to not hit anything when hauling old and new equipment. I would highly recommend Aaark for all your home care needs. AAARK saved the day! Our furnace stopped working on New Year's Eve. We went 5 nights without heat during the holiday period when temperatures dropped to single digits. The original installation company did not respond satisfactorily, so on 1/4/2022, after a work associate suggested calling AAARK, I had a phone conversation with Michael about the situation. Michael at AAARK was both helpful and responsive, and immediately arranged for Chad to go to our house to assess the problem. Chad was very knowledgeable and considerate during his visit. The respective bids from AAARK to either repair or replace a 12 year old unit were considerably lower than the estimates received the same day from another larger company. Given the timing, availability of parts, age of the existing unit, cost of repairs on key components of the furnace, we chose to replace the unit. Michael scheduled the replacement for the next day. On 1/5, Michael and Chad were prompt, courteous, professional, informative. They removed the older unit, modified and improved existing areas of installation, retaining the humidifier and air filtration systems, (and were later joined by Travis). By mid-afternoon we had comfortable whole house heat again. Their work exceeded our expectations -- providing excellent service with a very good value and quality. Upon request, they even safely turned on a gas fireplace that had not been used for years. My wife and I highly recommend AAARK Heating, Air & Plumbing. AAARK may save your day too!

They saved the day! Our sump pump went out on a Friday evening and our basement started flooding. AAARK was the ONLY company that could come out the same night.

They connected me with Nick, who confirmed our problem via phone. Within an hour he showed up with a new pump. After looking everything over, he gave us an estimate, and got to work.

Nick was awesome. He answered all questions, got the new pump installed, and even finished slightly under the quote price.

AAARK has taken good care of us for years. When our furnace went out in January shortly after buying our home, they had a new one installed at a reasonable price before we froze. And when our original air conditioner stopped cooling our home in the middle of a hot summer, they again quickly got us going and cooled down. And once again, on the coldest day in January when the heat stopped working, they came to our rescue right away and educated me on the value of regular maintenance. A little cleaning and we are good to go again. I highly recommend this company. They’re fast, respectful of property and reasonably priced. Thanks for taking good care of us!

I hired Aaark for a small bathroom remodel. They took care of the plumbing rough-in and finish for a new vanity. After getting multiple quotes and asking neighbors for recommendations, I went with Aaark and I am so happy I did. Their work was excellent, we had great communication with the office staff, and no surprises on the price. When the job was done, the amount due was just as quoted. I will definitely be a return customer.

I have been updating my older home , and had a very good experience with aaark. From plumbing to hood vent installed all the way to new meter and elec.panel update. All work has been top notch, technicians are professional and very nice. Bre is a very nice person to make all appointment's with. Thank you all.

Denver Water is assisted by Aaark as Denver Water replaces the main water supply line to each house in Congress Park. Nick Mancuso from Aaark came to make the final connections inside my house along-with a new on/off valve. Nick was quite thorough & helpful to me. I really appreciate that.

AAARK is a great choice for you HVAC needs they were less expensive than their competitors. Mat and Jimmy were very professional. Jimmy the electrician ran his wire and connected everything to the box, inspected and secured the wire, he was very friendly an super helpful. I will likely request him for future AAARK electrical work.

Matt has done an amazing job with the installation of my under cabinet radiator he kept the project clean and even came out to adjust the positioning of the radiator, he did outstanding work. He also talked to us about upgrading to a more efficient boiler/hot water heater setup. Showed me pictures of other more efficient set ups and I look forward to contracting AAARK for that install.

We couldn’t be happier with all of our interactions with AAARK. From the initial meeting to discuss options to service or replace our old furnace, to the quote, to the install - AAARK was patient and professional. We had many questions about the new boiler system and every detail was explained to our satisfaction. After the install we still had a couple of questions about our new unit vs what we were used to and Matt Jackson came out so he could be sure to address any concerns we had in person instead of over the phone. A whole new heating system is a significant investment and Matt said he wanted to make sure we were 100% happy. We are! Our home is warm and energy efficient. I have no doubt that if we have any problem at all, AAARK will be there. They are also our go- to for all of our plumbing needs. Update May 2021- another excellent experience! We contacted AAARK to replace our lumpy old patio pavers with a smooth concrete surface. We are so happy with the transformation and the price. Julio, Junior and Antonio did a wonderful, professional job on the concrete work- even working around existing poles and plantings- and left the worksite spotless. At the last minute,, we decided to add some electrical outlets to the space and Jimmy made it happen. Bottom line- if you have a vision, call AAARK. They have the right people with the right experience.

AAARK has taken good care of our boiler, evaporative cooler and general plumbing needs for years. Michael recently solved a water heater problem that had stumped every other plumber. He was bright, courteous and very professional and stuck with the job over several visits to make sure it was done right.

Over the course of many years they have done a drive way/walk replacement, house painting, gutters, hot water heater, furnace replacement, evaporative cooler, upgraded electrical service, basement escape window and more! All work was top notch, timely and their crews were friendly, thorough and a pleasure to work with! We highly recommend them for your projects!

It occurred to me that my water heater was old and that I should replace it before it went out and potentially flooded the area. I contacted AAARK. As it turned out, my water heater was originally installed in 2002! They sent Chad out on 1/13/21 to give me a quote and he installed the new water heater on 1/14/21. Both times he called when he was on the way. He was on time, polite, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. He drained the old and lugged it out of the house, then brought the new one in, all single-handedly. He worked diligently and never took a break. He had all the tools and equipment needed to do the job. When he was finished, he showed me how to light the pilot light should the need arise, and then he cleaned up after himself. Thank you, Chad!
This is the second time I've used AAARK. They replaced my furnace and air conditioning a few years ago. I have confidence that their technicians are competent and that their products have quality. Nick replaced the pressure relief valve and part of our PVB. He was very professional and nice and had the entire job done in less than 2 hours. It was very easy to schedule our appointment with the manager, Michael. I appreciated his professional attitude, and safe attitude with COVID-19 precautions. He left our room cleaner than he found it, wore a mask the entire time, and shoe covers in the house. We were impressed with his positive attitude, and his kindness. The evening of 2/14/2021 our furnace stopped working- the coldest day of the year (-10 !). We survived the evening but called 1st thing in the morning and they were able to send a tech out within 2 hours. Travis was the tech who came out. He was very polite and friendly. He quickly identified the problem (a high limit switch), put in a used part while he ran to the warehouse to get new part so our house would start to warm up, then returned and completed the repair.
I appreciate that Travis took extra time to explain that the MERV11 filters I were using were too restrictive for the furnace we have and had caused the issue with the high limit switch. He advised on the proper filter and left the area where he worked as clean as when he arrived. Additionally, the total cost of the repair was VERY reasonable and way less than I expected.
I would not hesitate to use AAARK again or recommend them to family and friends. I found out that Travis had given up his day off to come and work this day because of the backlog of service calls. My family and I are thankful for his sacrifice on this cold February day!

We had our furnace go out right as temperatures were plummeting toward negative numbers on a Friday night. When I called Aaark they answered right away and within minutes connected me to Travis who arrived within the hour. Our furnace was repaired that evening. We knew we needed to replace our 20+ year furnace soon. Due to the high level of expertise and professionalism displayed by both the company and Travis we decided a few months later to have them replace our furnace. Travis and his team did a fantastic job and we are exceptionally happy!!

I have used AAARK twice, first to service my AC and second to install a Aprilaire 800 Humidifier. Travis and Stu were the installers and showed up on time and did an excellent job installing and explaining the setup to me. The system needed a minor adjustment so Matt and Chad came out a few days later and made the necessary adjustments at no charge. Highly professional staff and I would recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC work.

This company is great - I have had them perform extensive furnace work, and extensive plumbing work - Top notch every single time - I have no complaints of any kind - They are extremely courteous, knowledgeable, timely, clean and speedy - The way contractors/service people used to be! That applies to the office staff, too. I am now planning on using them for all of my plumbing/HVAC/construction needs (and there are going to be a lot of them).

My old hvac unit had undersized ducting and needed to replace it with something bigger. Travis mentioned I could put the unit in my attic and open up space in my basement. Brilliant idea!!! I had the unit moved to the attic and he did an excellent job! With the correct size ducts my house stays the temperature it's supposed to and works great! He did a very professional job! I would recommend this company!

I just had some plumbing work done and AAARK has exceeded my expectations. Jake was timely and courteous, and quickly diagnosed and repaired the issue. This was my first experience with AARK, but I'm sure it won't be my last. I'm very happy with the service I received.

I called the owner who listened to my water heater problems and we decided a new heater was needed. He was able to send a plumber on Saturday to install it but when his plumber got here, he noticed another part which he suspected may be the culprit. He could’ve kept this from me and proceeded to install the new heater for 7x the cost of replacing these parts but had this guy had the integrity to shoot straight instead. When done there was a small leak which he had to make a trip to get special parts for, yet didn’t charge more for this extra hour of work on a Saturday. Very happy!

These guys did the lord's work. We live in an 80 year old house, and we had a very specific issue. We don't have central air so we were relying on 40-50 year old window units to cool various rooms in the house. Our unit in the master bedroom went out just 3 weeks before our first child was due, and these guys came in and worked on our 12 x 16 window hole to fit in the new unit we bought and hoped would fit. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Oh! And they didn't charge an arm and a leg! I will definitely be using this company again.

I have been contracting with AAARK Total home services for more than 15 years. I have had them do several significant jobs, for me on my rental property, my business and my personal home. I have had to call them out on several emergency calls over the years (not on their work) and they ALWAYS respond quickly. I have found the office staff professional and ALL the technicians to be expert's in their I field, do professional high quality honest work in a timely fashion, they always wear boot covers coming into my homes and ALWAYS clean up after themselves.

On two different occasions I was out of the country and depended, trusted AAARK and especially Titus T to just get it handled, on all of those jobs, one was a complete remodel on a rental property, I was always treated more than fair, whether is was a $100k job or a few $100.00, their professionalism was always the same. My friends and associates that I have referred them to have had the same experience.

Today when I need home services I wouldn't call any other company!

This is the second time we have had Aaark come out for a service (first for A/C, this time for furnace repair.) Their technician Chad got here early, was super efficient in diagnosing the issue, got our furnace back up and running quickly, and was super friendly to boot! I also appreciate that he practiced safe covid protocol and wore his mask at all times while inside. Would definitely recommend Aaark as they have been great both times we have needed them, and I feel their pricing is also very fair!

Have had them install A/C, new furnace, new hot water system, and remove old solar unit. They are very professional, arrive on time, work well, and do what they say they will, and are very helpful when something unexpected arises. Their prices are fair and I recommend them highly.

This is the second house and second furnace we've used Aaark to install. The technicians worked late to get the job done in one day and were courteous and professional. The estimator was thorough in adding needed components to his quote so our existing system was correct to code (which the original home builder did not do). Finally, their costs were quite reasonable. We would definitely recommend them.

Bruce from AAARK came to my house to work on the bath tub diverter. He did all he could to fix the existing tub spout, but it was to old and damaged . He and his co-worker Travis were both professional and polite. They stayed beyond 5 pm to get the work done. They were up front with my price options and at no time made me feel as if I was being taken advantage of. I have used this company before for other work and have never had a bad experience.

Chad was great! On time, friendly and got the job done quickly. Not to mention he had to brave my super scary basement! I will continue doing my yearly furnace maintenance with AAARK. I highly recommend them.

My furnace went out just after New Years. Aaark was the the only company who had a tech available at 5:00 pm. Matt J came out and diagnosed a bad control board on our 23 year old furnace. He gave us several options before we decided to go with a high efficiency Amana furnace. After seeing Aaarks attention to detail and how respectful and knowledgeable the techs and install team were with a price that beat our other bid, my wife and I will not use another company for any other service.

We used Aaark Total Home Services for a pluming issue. The gentleman that came out was very courteous and competent. I would recommend this company and use them again in the future

I have used Aaark in the past and just recently to maintain and service our heating system at our home. I have found them to be very service oriented, detailed and upfront on their fees. In our last encounter with AAARk, we were serviced by Matt and he like his associates went beyond what was required and paid for to assure we were in good shape and happy.

We came home to the smell of natural gas and a house with a temperature of 52. Within an hour of placing a call we had a wonderful technician, Matt, out and he solved our broken ignightor. It took less than half an hour for him to do the work and we are so thankful!!

The service Manager Michael did the right thing and made all this right today and I doubt if anyone will ever not wear a mask during this pandemic that works for this company....I cannot vouch for their work yet and they are now in the running for my business. First of all when the person arrived he did not have a mask he couldn't even find one in his truck luckily I had an extra one. Then he charges me $70 without even telling me there was a fee and wasn't even sure he could fix it he put the mask on backwards shame on this company.

They came out to Winterize my Swamp Coole, and it was quick, easy... and he even gave me some insider advice about how to best care for the unit. And -- I didn't have to wait weeks for the appointment! It was within a few days of my phone call.

I never write bad reviews - in fact this is the first one I've ever written.

I reached out to AAARK because my realtor recommended them and they had decent reviews online. I cannot believe how seemingly incompetent this company is. Whenever their technicians come to my home, my issues get worse.

I first used them to replace my disposal and a few corroded pipes going into my hot water heater. Nothing was wrong with the hot water heater, it worked fine, it was just that the pipes looked somewhat corroded on the outside.

While that was happening, I was in contact with their HVAC specialists because the top floor of my home does not get any heat or AC. Initially, I was told, no problem we'll just upgrade your HVAC with a bigger unit. This happened right before COVID. This seems suspect to me, because the issue is that one vent in our house lets all the cool out and none of the others do. I contacted the HVAC person again after COVID had died down a bit, wondering could this possibly be a duct issue? A different HVAC specialist came by this time and looked around my whole house. This time, they said oh no your ductwork can't handle the upgraded HVAC, we'll need to put booster fans in. I think great, that sounds pretty reasonable. The tech then talks to the supervisor who informs him that despite this, in fact, my ductwork cannot handle the booster fans either and that the only course of action is to replace all the ductwork in my home. I'm slightly taken aback, but ask for a proposal and we can go from there. I receive no proposal. I contact the original HVAC guy again for a proposal. I receive no proposal. I'm literally trying to give these people my money and cannot.

Circling back to the plumbing work, I noticed that immediately after the pipes in the hot water heater were done, we had no hot water pressure. This was irritating, but the initial claim was that all their work was guaranteed up to a year after service. The work was done right before COVID started, so I again waited until COVID died down to restart this process. A new technician comes over because the old on was no longer with them and when I tell the new tech (who I think is a part owner in the company) he looks at me like the other tech never worked there. The new technician tells me he can't figure out what's going on, but it seems like there is a clog in the hot water intake. I'm thinking, ok fix it, your work screwed it up. Nope - I'm told that either we'll have to replace the boiler entirely or we'll need to get the intake fixed at cost. They told me they would take the cost of the original work off of a new boiler. How nice! The technician tells me they will send me a proposal in the morning. I receive no proposal. I'm literally trying to give these people my money and cannot. Wouldn't you know, after this latest technician left, the pilot light wasn't turned back on and now will not turn on, so I'm sitting here without any hot water at all.

Rest assured AAARK, I will not be giving you my money, you don't have to worry about me continuing to try. You've convinced me that my tendency to assume the best or for some reason keep trying despite things getting worse every time someone comes to my home is the wrong approach. What a joke.

Matt was able to diagnose the problem we were having with our furnace and fixed the issue. He did a great job and is very knowledgeable about HVAC

Dustin, Teddy and Mikey were the best. They left my place cleaner than when they started. Worked very hard to make things better than before. I feel they under promised and over delivered. They were a joy to have working in my house. They stayed late to msle sure I had heat for the night. This is s top notch crew. I will reccomend AAArk to anyone that wants professional results for a fair price. It might be higher than the other guys, but you get what you pay for.

These guys are solid. They have done three different projects for me: small electrical repair, roof replacement, and most recently a full basement remodel (will post pictures soon). Each time I worked with different guys at Aaark and they are all professionals that do the job right. Thanks to Titus, Julio, Junior, Brian, Dustin, Jake and everyone else. Appreciate it guys!

I have had AAARK take care of many needs in my home, from roofing and siding to electrical, plumbing and heating and cooling. Their technicians are always knowledgeable and polite and do great work.

Nick and Omar did a great job last night helping me out with an emergency water valve repair after a freeze. Very professional and quality work.

We have used AAARK for small jobs like replacing a faucet to large job. They put an addition onto our home, all new kitchen, living room, dinning room and basement too. It is beautiful!

Did a great job and stayed in the initial bid. Always took phone calls and when issues arose they sent a guy out immediately to make sure I passed inspection. Final trim isn't complete yet but i'm confident it will look nice.

very disappointed in this company. paid them to work on two separate homes. after I list one of the homes for sale and something comes back on inspection, they do not stand by their work. customer service or reception is extremely rude. will not use this company in the future. would not recommend.

I was happy with the plumbing job, but the plumber put 2 chips in my countertop.

Really horrible company. The workers will lie to you to get you to pay...and then not come back. Don't use them for anything!!!! The owner is rude and mean.....they also charge you three times what others would...do your research first!!!!!
