I recently had A.P.E.S. Come out to my place to repair a faulty garbage disposal which I’ve lived with for my entire lease 12 months because that just refused to send a real plumber then that young man showed up at my door, what a professional and polite man he was and he actually took the time to explain to me what the exact problem was he did this in such a timely manner it was wonderful, the only problem we had and I’m so sorry that my Bella just didn’t want him in our house and I apologize for her rudeness she has no social skills I’m afraid and is terribly spoiled no fault of my own of course lol but we will work on it . David Rodriguez is a problem solver. He came to help us figure out the airflow problem in our house. He was polite, very respectful, and knowledgeable. He was very through and determined to find and solve the problem. I asked a lot of questions. He listened and made sure I understood the issues and was patient explaining everything. This company saved my house. I don't have much to live on and my house is all I've got. They worked with us on an affordable payment plan that worked for us. James originally seemed honest and knowledgeable regarding HVAC. The complaint was the 3yr old AC wasn’t blowing as cold as last year. We were told the Schroeder valves x2 were bad and needed 2lbs of Freon with a quote of $508. Once the repair was done, James came off the roof to tell me there was “bigger problems”- the evaporative coil was leaking in more than 20 places. The repair quote was $2500 for labor only (4-5 hours). Who charges $500 an hour for labor!? Oddly, the AC was serviced 26 Jan with no issues. I was beyond shocked.. As James insisted this was a very serious problem.
After having another service come to provide another quote, I was told, there was no leak detected and could have been from the Schroeder valves or a non-honest technician spraying oil on the coils- since the pattern was unusual and “too clean” (no dirt or dust on the oil). Honest HVAC people are very hard to find- unfortunately, this company is not one of them.

The highest of integrity and knowledge complemented by a conservative approach; only doing what is necessary. They take the time to explain and allow for the customer to choose the total work to be done from their plans provided with photos and detailed explanations. This business provides quality work and total peace of mind.

My father recommended Sun Devil Heating & Cooling when one of my units went down. He has used them on multiple occasions and was very impressed. I called Sun Devil on a Wednesday evening and was surprised and grateful they stopped by after a job that evening. Gerardo and his team quickly got to work on the unit, unfortunately it was not fixable. Let’s be honest the unit was well over 18 years old and held together with bubblegum and duct tape, it was time. Gerardo made a few calls and managed to locate two units and squeezed us in on Friday. Did I mentioned he gave us a great deal on higher quality units and installation? He did! Sun Devil Heating & Cooling is the only AC company I trust now! Gerardo and his team are true professionals.

Called Four Seasons for an estimate after another AC service quoted for a major repair. Four Seasons offered a free second opinion. On the visit, Chris from Four Seasons went up to the attic and said nothing major appeared out of order, and still offered to do a minor adjustment free of charge. I am used to high pressure sales tactics. This was a pleasant surprise. This is how you build customer trust. He did say there is a chance I may need a repair in the future and offered to send me an estimate. Great service. I'll definitely call if I need AC service in the future.

I made an appointment with Cactus Mechanical last week to have my AC unit checked/tuned up. I was told they would call me 30 minutes prior to their arrival, so I needed to take a day off work to be home. The day of the appointment arrives and instead of getting a call saying, they were on their way they call to tell me they have to cancel because of a high level of broken AC units.

I completely understand and appreciate they are focused on getting AC units back up and running before doing any regular tune ups. However, they should have called a day earlier to inform me they had to cancel so I did not have to take a day off work.

Potential customers call a day before your service to verify Cactus Mechanical will show up. Otherwise, you may be sitting at home for no reason.
