My wife and I rolled the proverbial dice with A & M Mechanical as one of our Mitsubishi AC handlers was dying a slow death and not generating the cooling power and air flow to the degree it was supposed to. Being we've been in our home a little more than two years, this was maddening. But we're glad we took a chance on A & M Mechanical because not only did Mark and his team troubleshoot the problem and fix it, Amy and Mark went above and beyond to help us the entire way. They spent hours on the phone, tediously waiting on hold with Mitsubishi at no additional charge to determine if the system was under warranty )it wasn't thanks to the wonderful prior owner who bought and installed them). They provided us a very reasonable quote for all the work (which included parts and labor to repair the AC handler, thoroughly cleaning both handlers in our bedroom, and installing purification devices in both units). My wife and I were impressed with the degree of professionalism and acumen Amy and Mark displayed throughout our entire experience, which is far from guaranteed with other vendors in the area. We're big on customer service above all else as part of hiring a company to perform any job capably and honestly, and A & M Mechanical is at the top of the list in this regard. Thank you, Amy and Mark! My wife and I can rest a bit easier knowing we have a dependable HVAC company to call upon going forward for all our HVAC-related needs.

TemperatureProPhoenix provided us with an air conditioner while installing our new system. They also installed the new system the following day, when everyone else was saying it would take at least a week before they could do it. Our experience with Scottsdale Air was superb! We got quotes from a number of local outfits, to proactively replace our 15 year old, slit-system heat pump. My initial criteria was that all these companies needed to have been in operation at least a couple decades (Scottsdale Air over 60 years). One big name company was very high-priced, and I didn’t feel the salesman was totally genuine. The others were all in the same price ballpark, but Eric, the Scottsdale Air salesman was a really good communicator and he was genuine and knowledgeable. Plus he was to the point, didn’t waste my time and printed out a concise, easy to understand proposal (one company’s quote was 5 pages long!) before leaving. Eric and his office were both very responsive to us, before and after the installation. (BTW - His price was just a little lower than most of the others, but my interaction with him and his office was really what clinched it for me!)

The installers showed up right on time and did the work in a very professional manner – they were respectful of our property and were as quiet as they could be, and had the work done in a little over four hours. I asked Eric previously if they could provide a portable heater, and the installers brought one which kept things quite comfortable while they replaced the old unit.

I have a background in the HVAC field, so I knew a couple things about what they were doing, and I am pleased to say I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again! Oh, one last thing – we went for the simplest Trane unit that would be at least 15 SEER (which was also more affordable). After we had the installation date set, Eric called to say there was an issue with the air handler we’d specified, so Scottsdale Air upgraded us to a much better and costlier air handler without charge - now that’s a good example of excellent and conscientious customer service! Bottom-line: A nice unit sold and installed by a thoughtful, competent company at a fair price – what’s not to love about that!?

Great guys to work with highly recommended

I called them because my circulation fan was not working properly on June 22nd. They said they need a special technician to come out and the soonest they can get me in is JULY 7th. So they expected me to have fan not properly functioning for 2 weeks. The office also said that diagnostics fees are waived. Thats why we went with Howard air since we didnt want to pay a 65 dollar service fee for them to just come out. What a scam.

Then it completely blows out, I call them again and they said they can come out tomorrow (Why didnt we just schedule it sooner if you can make it out tomorrow?) Well I consulted a friend and he gave me a price range to shoot for. Then Howard Air said the wheel is broken and that it will cost 668 dollars. One of my friends used to work with AC units and he said that to replace that should be 200-300 dollars.

I told the gentlemen from Howard Air we'll think about it. He said Okay but hes charging 88 dollars for a service call. My eyes popped. They made me wait 2 weeks and said no service fee yet they are charging me a service fee now when they diagnosed the problem? So is this a bait thing where they say no fee but then charge you an astronomical amount for work and then charge you a high service fee? What a scam these people are.

After calling several other companies who were unavailable, Ryan was able to come out within about a hour of calling. He was able to tell me the problem very quickly and fix our AC in an hour. He also showed me what the problem was and explained everything he was doing. Thanks! We’ll definitely call with future service needs..

Called for hot water heater inspection. They came same day, told me what was wrong, and gave me free estimates for repair & replacement. The servicemen were courteous and on time. No high pressure sales tactics.

Howard Air and technician, David Smith, exceeded my expectations of professionalism. Everyone from the scheduling department to the service technician gave me ample time to explain my issue, and clearly explained their process The technician came on time, and performed a thorough inspection, gave a written report, took the time to explain everything to me and was neat and tidy. It sounds too good to be true but I was there! It’s true! I recommend Howard Air, 100%.

They had very good customer service on the phone and in person. Really quick and had our a/c cold again! Thank you guys! Good job!!
