I am glad that Shane of MCB was assigned the task when I requested their services. Shane is exemplary in his professionalism and explained to me what all it takes to make it absolutely risk free within my budget with all their maintenance plans, that I never have to worry about my water heater for years of great performance. He patiently answered all my tricky questions and offered the best service. He came with his colleague Tracy who is also quite knowledgeable and completed the whole job to perfection in just a few hours. Our water heater overflowed catastrophically on Sunday night at 7 PM and flooded our garage. We contacted Chandler and he was able to give us an immediate estimated time and cost to get it fixed. His crew arrived an hour later with a brand new heater, took them just 30-45 min to drain the water out of the old one and then quickly and expertly installed the new one. Water was back on within 2 hours of the entire thing starting! We were very fortunate to have contacted him. His crew: Ray and Chico were professional and friendly and ensured the new system was working, showed us around the control panel and pilot light, and made sure the old water heater got hauled away for recycling the next morning.

My experience with Plumbtree Plumbing & Rooter was satisfactory despite some miscommunications with company representatives. Anthony Morin arrived on May 30 to provide an estimate to replace a 41 year old Hoyt water heater that was leaking. He recommended a Bradford and White unit --one that he has in his home.

On June 1, Technicians Juan Arreola and Jason Esparza arrived to the remove the old unit and install the new one. When they were bringing in the new unit, I noticed that it was not the one that Anthony specified, so Juan contacted the dispatch office for assistance. He then handed me the phone where I spoke to the company owner who agreed to take back other unit and install the Bradford and White unit. Once the unit was installed, I thanked Juan and Jason.

On June 16, I received a text alert that Juan was on his way to my home around 9:30am. I was at work in my office and wondered why I received this alert as I was not aware of a scheduled appointment for that day. Soon after I received a call from the Plumbtree from Hannah. She explained that the appointment was scheduled in error and that they needed to schedule an inspection date for the water heater installation by the City of San Jose Code enforcement and they were aware that at least one installation detail needed to be corrected. Hannah scheduled another appointment for me for Jun 22, 2022 to correct the installation deficiency. Juan arrived around 9am and completed that task---the connection from the pressure relief valve needed to be solid copper pipe with a brass nipple connection to the existing galvanized steel pipe as code requires.

Hannah at Plumbtree dispatch scheduled an appointment for final inspection on July 12, 2022. The City of San Jose inspector arrived shortly after 8am and asked to see the permit and inspect the installation. He noted 3 areas of installation that did not meet code. He noted on the permit that the inspection failed, returned the permit to me and said another inspection would be required to be scheduled by Plumbtree once the corrections were made and then left. Juan arrived about 10 mins later. I informed him that the inspector had inspected the installation and found 3 areas of concern that needed correction. He called back Plumbtree dispatch for advice and to get more detail on what corrections were needed to pass the code inspection that had been uploaded by the inspector to the City of San Jose Code Enforcement portal. Juan completed the required modifications by noon and said that he would be back on July 14, 2022 to meet the inspector for reinspection. Juan arrived shortly before 8am to ensure that he did not miss the inspector. The City inspector arrived around 820am . They went to water closet where the inspector confirmed that all the required corrections to the installation had been made and then signed off as completed and passed final inspection.

Plumbtree worked with me to ensure that I was satisfied with the installation, accommodating me with workable appointment dates, and that the installation met code requirements.

Corey came out and did a small job for us on our new home's back patio removing a leaking PVC valve and pipe, and replacing a crusty old hose bib. I was out of town at the time and he was nice enough to explain our options to me via Facetime and then quickly and excellently completed the job. When I called him weeks later to ask where our main water shutoff valve was on our new house, he actually remembered our little job after doing undoubtedly dozens of other jobs since then, and was able to explain where I could find it. Very positive and enthusiastic young man...we'll certainly be calling again if the need arises.
