My old water heater developed some issues, I ran through a few hoops for the warrantee services -- not bad service, but they don't have proper parts for a proper fix/repair. After a week, I have to make a decision to replace it.
I contacted Wilver (the boss person of Bay Area Plumbing) on Thursday morning, and he came quickly and assessed the situation, before Friday noon, the water heater is replaced.
The work is done professionally with good quality.

Wilver Castillo was referred to me by an installer of my whole-house water softner system. When he went under the crawl space, he noticed I had a broken 2-inch ABS kitchen line. Water was leaking and asked me to get it fixed. He handed me the card of Bay Area Plumbing, Rooter & Service. Not knowing too many plumbers, I called Wilver and left him a message. He called me back promptly and set up a time to come over next day to my house to provide me with a free estimate. He arrived on-the-dot at the time promised, inspected the damage and gave me a quote, which I felt, was competitive and reasonable. He completed the work in an hour, provided me a before and after pictures. He was polite and professional. A job well-done. I will certainly call on Wilver first for my future plumbing projects.

Switched out super old water heater in less than 2 hours. Very fast and very helpful. Responded quickly to my request for a new water heater and took care of the job fast and the new water is fantastic!

Very professional, very personable. Wilber is on top of things. We called him about a failed water heater. He quickly came over late in the afternoon on Saturday to check it out and replaced it the next morning. He offered different options and were ended up getting a larger water tank since we have multiple families living in the house. I recommend this company; I will be using him for all my plumbing woes.

Wilber was very pleasant to work with. He kept in touch with me about the type of toilet I wanted. He installed it and two valves quickly and professionally
and disposed of the old toilet. The bathroom was left completely clean. I would definitely call him again for any plumbing needs.

Great work and I am very pleased with their service. Bay Area Plumbing started work on the sewer line out in my front yard right away (it broke right where my sewer pipe meets the city sewer pipe). Roots had grown through from a tree in our front yard. They started work the same day and Bay Area Plumbing handled calling 811 (Underground Service Alert) for me; they handled the permit needed with the City of San Jose (I did not know that a permit is needed when repairing the sewer line), which saved me time from filing one myself. They had to dig 7+ feet down in my yard (due to my raised front yard) in order to get to the broken sewer line. I was only without water for maybe an hour or so during the process. The longest wait was for the City Inspector to approve and sign off on the work. The work was finished a lot quicker than I expected and done correctly. I was kept well informed of the progress, and the next steps in the process (I've never had a sewer line problem before). Bay Area Plumbing always brought me outside to explain the situation as their work progressed, also taking pictures of the progress and sent them to me for my records (before, during and after pictures). His entire crew was very friendly and professional. Thank you for a great job.

Wilver and Eric helped installing a copper pipe in bathroom and fixed a bad leaking issue. We are so happy found this plumbing service team! Wilver explained every details to me. He is really professional and experienced. Eric went to our crawl space and did a good job. Both staff are clean, courteous and very punctual! I'm sure I will hire them again for more projects.

Our hot water stopped working and I contacted Wilver, who I have used many times in the past. He assessed the problem promptly and recognized that the water heater had failed. He gave us a very good price and was able to make time for us to get a new water heater up and running again very quickly. He did a great job and we were very grateful for his attentive service.

Just want to start off by Saying What an amazing experience I had with Wilver we were fortunate to have him as our plumber. He went above and beyond explaining what was causing our issues with our 3 toilets in the house, garbage disposal and kitchen sink he even went in depth explaining why it was happening and how to prevent these issues from happening in the future. Extremely professional, educational and obviously helpful since he resolved all of our issues. I highly highly recommend!!

I called Bay Area plumbing after getting his name from a friend. With Wilver being the owner it was nice to have that personal connection not like when you deal with the corporate companies. It was nice to get the service I required in a timely manner (4 hours later) instead of it might be 1-2 days from the corporate guys. Wilver and his crew were so amazing. PG&E came by to turn on our gas and told us they would not turn it on as we had a leak. I called Wilver and he came over pretty quickly. They diagnosed that we had 3 leaks. They quickly fixed 2 leaks and capped off the gas to that went to our outdoor gas grill and fireplace. We were able to get PG&E turn on our gas. The next day Wilver and his crew came back and laid new gas pipe from our house to our gas grill and fireplace. They did an amazing job, and even patched and painted the opening to our fireplace. I was super impressed with Wilver he was upfront and clear about what needed to be done. I will use and recommend him for any more plumbing issues I have. Five Stars for them!

The wiener -Wilver is very honest, I paid him $450 check after he reviewed the issue he said only need half price. So he return me the credit. We are grateful to have him and we will keep him as our always to go plumbing service man!

Wilver was very professional and was at my house in less then 30 min after I contacted him to unclog and re pipe my kitchen sink. He explains in detail what he is doing and very fair in price highly recommended..

08/12/21-Called at noon & Wilver, Repair Tech came by 1:30pm. He was able to swap out my old with a new water heater, as well as, haul the old one away. It took him 1 1/2 hours to complete and it was glorious to have hot water again (after one week...argh). Cost was $1,400 (parts, labor & haul away). The good news was we were able to get a refund for half the cost at Home Depot due to warranty. Very thankful for his help and would use him again.

These guys are awesome! Our old water heater (Rheem) gone, and I had more than a week of headache trying to contact the brand tech.support, and finding appropriate plumber from their official list of service providers - everybody refused me, or were weird in their answers. Yesterday, after many hours lost on phone I finally typed in Google water heater repair, and selected them from the list. The guy was busy so I left a voice message asking to call back, then I decided to call to the second service provider from the list. I was talking to them listening one more refusal to help, while this guy called me back - 5 minutes after my voice message! Not bad, right? So I called him back, and we had a 20 mins talk. He listened to me with attention, then explained what might happened to my old boiler , because he knows this brand pretty well, as well as all its typical issues. When I insisted him to come here for inspection he surprised me: Sir, sure I can come, but believe me - you will hear everything the same from me, and it will cost you $120 for the visit. So let me save your money explaining by phone. Then he asked me to send him photos of boiler and quickly provided the estimate.
They come today in the morning at 8am, with a new boiler, fully ready to install it.. At 11:15 everything was done and he waited to be sure it's working and we have a hot water in system. Furthermore, during the installation they fixed a couple of other issues, which were there for years: the leaking protection pad was broken, and the leaking discharge tube was ... absent there.
As a result, I got extra quick response, I got free consultancy, I got next-day service, and even additional issues resolving. That’s why they got from me strong 5 stars and this review - because good guys earned this with their work.

Wilver and his team have done several jobs for me, including installation of two faucets, installation of a hot water recirculation pump, and addition of shutoff valves to my supplemental gas lines.
