Marti's Plumbing San Jose

Marti's is our go to plumber service for last 4+ years!  They hold a great work ethic and excellent customer service.  Honest, fast, professional and knowledgeable!  They've been very reliable each time we've had an emergency (clogged kitchen sink, main pipe burst, and leaking water heater and replacement), or just needed a repair (leaky tub) or install a new toilet. I've recommended them to family and friends, and they've have had the same great experience of getting good and honest service.

We used Marti's Plumbing Service for an emergency water heater change-out in June, 2021. We also asked that they apply for a building permit on our behalf, and Marti's agreed.

The technician sent by Marti's did not install all of the necessary parts for the water heater. He also cut the line between the water heater and the washer and caused a leak. Only after multiple conversations did Marti's compensate us for the amount that we had paid to repair the leak.

Marti's also refused to apply for a building permit after their initial promise, so I applied for a water heater change-out permit on my own. I received the following list of corrections from the City of Cupertino's building inspector. I called Marti's many times to bring the water heater up to code, because they provide a one-year warranty with their services, but it was very difficult to reach them to schedule a follow-up visit.

City of Cupertino's List of Required Corrections:

1. Single wall vent connector for water heater requires 6 min clearance to combustibles ( Sheetrock ) and single wall connector not approved for penetrating rated assembly.
2. Provide access to vent flue to verify B-vent or install new for water heater flue.
3. Provide insulation on first 5'ft of water lines at water heater
4. T&P piping at termination to not be threaded and to terminate 6-24 off garage floor or pipe to exterior and maintain same termination clearance off ground surface
5. Water heater to be fully blocked and braced
6. Water heater bracing at lower brace to be located within bottom 1/3 and 4 above control valve
7. Tighten water heater bracing
8. Provide water bond hot to cold and to gas line.
9. Provide approved expansion tank brace and install per manufactures installation instructions
10. Provide sediment trap on gas line after the valve and before the flex

Had some recent work done to replace some cracked/broken toilet and shower pipes in an 100+ year old house.

I heard dripping in my walls and they came out to take a look. They were very fast to schedule and had a lot of flexibility. When the plumber got here, he took a look at my pipes and found that the issue was dripping inside the pipes and there was nothing wrong. He really took the time to explain how it worked and why I might be hearing the dripping. He wasn't rushed at all and even drew me a diagram. At the end, he didn't even charge me and said it was just an estimate/consultation. I was really impressed with his professionalism and customer service.

Came out promptly on a Saturday at no additional charge. I called probably half a dozen plumbers and they had the most reasonable quote. Matt was extremely upbeat and positive, especially unusual given that is was a cold, dark, Saturday night and he was working outside. Will absolutely use them again. The coupon on yelp is extremely generous!

We had Michael come out recently and he did a great job. Tiffany in the office was able to squeeze us in same day also! Price was fair, fast and efficient! Will definitely call Marti’s again!

These guys did a great job removing galvanized pipes and re-routing the water lines in my 100 year old house. He was responsive via email, phone, and text; accommodating to various requests from me and my wife; and got the work done as planned.

Could not be happier with the service.

We've had Victor and his plumbers over several times for a variety of jobs. (Plumbing seemed to be the weak spot in the construction of our home.) They've been reliable, courteous, and have done good work for us. Plumbers are never cheap, but their hourly rate seems about right.

Have to say I was very impressed with this company they came out on time and did the job pretty fast at a reasonable cost very professional 10/10 will use them again

I have the absolute best story as to why you should avoid Marti's Plumbing at all costs. With so many plumbers out there, trust me when I say DO NOT EVER give these people a chance. My main water line had broken and I googled and selected them to come do a pressure test and since they responded quickest gave them the opportunity to complete the replacement of my main water line. They took forever, abandoned the job, lied about the permit process, and took me to court to pay in full when they did not fulfill their obligations in the contract. The Judge obviously ruled in my favor because facts are facts, but the audacity, the lies, the inconvenience and the level unprofessionalism is something I have never witnessed in my life. Trust me when I say, do not let these people on your property or even bother working with them. They lied straight faced in court after taking oath. Please reference the photos for what they left my property looking like after the job was completed.

We had another estimate and I called their office, talked to General Manager and they met the price of the other estimate we received, super easy guy to deal with. Roy and the crew came out next day and completed the work, great job.

Plumbers sure are expensive, but Marti’s Plumbing always gives us good service.

This review only pertains to customer service and not the actual service. Met Ray at the facility to check a leaking problem. Prior to that, I had already been in contact with a helpful gal on the phone trying to find a time I can be at the church. We checked out the leak and for whatever reason the problem went away. Ray was cool about it and simply said to call on them for anything else in the future. I am impressed by their courtesy and attitude with customers. Will definitely return for actual work.

Erica has been here twice now - both times knowledgeable, professional, efficient and friendly. We will definitely ask for again if we have plumbing needs!

They came out last week to replace my water heater they didn’t charge to much I paid for professional clean service and they were also very nice I didn’t feel uncomfortable with them in my house over all great service

They were available to come on short notice, quickly located the leak and repaired. Fast and efficient.
