We're thrilled with San Jose Drain and Main. Giovanni and his crew took care of multiple plumbing problems in one visit, with high-quality work at a fair price. When new needs came up in midst of the repair, he was quick to recommend solutions and very reasonable with costs. He's now top on our list for future needs.

Giovanni was the third plumber we called to diagnose a tricky problem in our pipes, as we were not confident in the assessments of the previous two plumbers. Giovanni took great care to diagnose the problem and clearly demonstrate and explain it to us, and he earned our trust. He is passionate about his work, and his price was reasonable as well. Highly recommended.

This review has been due for some time now. I had Giovanni come to install a Pressure regulator valve and replace older faucet that was leaking in the bath room of my house. Gio was on time, courteous and did an excellent job (as usual).

He even gave us tips on bathroom remodel and few other items related to it. Gio is quite knowledgeable about the work he does I would recommend him for any work. He is priced very well as well which is extremely good for my pocket. Great service at very good price. Thanks Gio for the excellent work.

Had a troublesome kitchen faucet issue resulting in low hot water volume. Saw the reviews and gave Giovani a call this morning. He came out the same day himself and in no time had solved the problem. Thanks to some of his own tricks of the trade, the faucet actually works better than when it was brand new. This is a person and company that excels at what they do. Highly recommend.

Giovanni was extremely helpful in diagnosing a broken drain pipe at a rental property. He diagnosed the problem quickly and advised about the best way to proceed in replacing the broken pipe. He was knowledgeable about dealing with insurance and the challenges entailed in accessing the pipe, which was under a concrete slab foundation in a newly remodeled kitchen. He replaced the broken pipe and added two new clean outs, and his plumbing work was high quality and very professional. I highly recommend him. He provided outstanding service and patiently walked me through the entire process.

Had low water pressure throughout the house for both hot and cold water. Giovani was very responsive and asked detailed questions over the phone regarding the issue. He arrived early and waited patiently for us. He replaced the water pressure reducing valve quickly and explained how it works. Thanks Giovani! Came home from vacation and water heater started leaking like crazy. We turned off the water and, based on previous positive experience with a bathroom toilet repair, we knew to call Giovanni first. After inspecting the project he explains the process he'll follow to fix/replace the item, the time it will take to complete the work, and the cost to do so. It’s not always easy to get a good plumber - and when you need one, you probably REALLY need one. We’ve used San Jose Drain and Main multiple times, and each time they have been outstanding! They fixed several different random plumbing issues (shower leak, clogged sink leak, recirculation pump involving copper repair…our house is aging) but both Giovani and Sam have been responsive, professional and friendly as well. These guys know what they’re doing, fixing our problems and stress. Classy outfit, highly recommend.

I have used Drain and Main twice, once for leak under the sink and a tub and the a water heater change out. My experience w/ the company was excellent. Appointments were made easily, Gio showed up during the time window given. I explained some of my concerns and he was able to ask the right questions to figure out what my needs were, when I didn’t have the right words. I do like to shop around but found I did not need to get a 2nd estimate, because the prices seemed fair. The work was done very quickly and he even fixed minor issues while he was waiting for my water to heat up. That was very thoughtful! I found Gio and his brother to be very friendly. Drain and Main will be the company I use from here on out.

Had a clogged faucet drain. Did the multiple quotes on Yelp and decided to go with San Jose Drain and Main again.

Showed up the next day right in the timeframe given.

About 20 minutes later and $150, my faucet was running normally again. The guy gave me some pointers on how to maintain so it'll never be clogged too. Very appreciated!

Side note : Before contacting, I spent a good 2 hours trying with prybars and various snaking tools on Amazon to do it myself. The drain was clogged with hardened material. When I was quoted $150, I was secretly in my mind thinking... oh, you're gonna want more than that... so I was shocked when he did it in a few minutes. :(

Javarre came to assist us with the drain issue. He was so kind, patient & professional. He told us ways to avoid future problem and how to maintain it. He even called several stores for my dad to help him get the right parts. He patiently helped us with all the issues and we couldn’t thank him enough for his kindness and his great work. They did an outstanding job of installing a water softener complete with bypass valves and even a hook for the wrench used for changing the filter. Very thoughtful and considerate approach and great quality results. Would definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

I had an issue with my bath drain stinking for the last two months. Two appointments and $250 in warranty call charges (each for about five minutes with so called technicians who claimed the smell was just something random and would go away if I pour hot water! Yeah right ! ) led to no changes and my bath stinking everyday and the wife cussing every day :) Finally , I called Giovani to check it out. He quickly identified the issue and spent time explaining what was going on. Trust me , this man knows plumbing. He’s the best out there , takes extreme pride in his workmanship and his customer service is top notch, very rare to find qualities in today’s world. And if you are lucky enough , you will have the added bonus of chatting with him about just any topic on earth. I had one of the most interesting & impromptu conversations about “Culture” and I was so refreshed with his perspective on life! I joked that he should have his podcast! ( Seriously though , he should !). Hire him for his professionalism, eye for detail , obsession over customer satisfaction & honesty. You will not be disappointed.

I've never written a review before but Giovani did such a superb job that I had to! My house of horrors from the 1960s has seen more than it's fair share of plumbers coming through but hands down, San Jose Drain and Main is the real deal. My 13 year old son (who doesn't know his own strength) broke the shower handle. Unfortunately, it wasn't as simple as replacing the shower handle as the shower cartridge was stuck and the valve needed to be replaced. I contacted 7 plumbers before I reached out to Giovani and they all said the tile had to be broken in order to access the valve and replace it. Giovani said he wasn't sure if he had to break the tile but he would try to avoid it. He ran through his proposed solution with me and it made sense so I had Giovani come back another day after he bought the parts. He came on time as promised and took out the old cartridge and valve and welded the new valve into a very tight space (see picture) without having to break the tile! He gave me a quote at the beginning of the job and even though it took way longer than anticipated (he was here from 2 pm to 7:30 pm), he still stuck to his original quote. Now, that's what I call service and a job well done! Thank you Giovani and San Jose Drain and Main!!!

Giovani and his team, Jovarre, were excellent. My garage sink was overflowing with water and also leaking water on the ground. I could not use the washing machine. San Jose Main and Drain came early to assess the problem. Giovani fixed the problem quickly and told us tips on how to avoid this issue. We were glad he was very reasonable with his price and excellent techniques. We can finally use our washing machine with peace of mind.

My master bedroom bathroom has been leaking water under the faucet pipe for over a year. The water has been leaking into my vanity. I have been reluctant to use the plumber due to Covid situation. I wanted to see if I could use tools to fix it myself. Oh boy was I wrong. San Jose Main and Drain took a few seconds to inspect the issue, and within thirty minutes finished the work while I was inside my room conducting a meeting. When I called other plumbers, they gave me a quote, which was three times more than San Jose Main and Drain. Also, other companies' suggestions were a hassle to my bathroom or refused to do the job due to the complexity of the work. Thank you San Jose Main and Drain for fixing something so efficiently! I have my bathroom back!
