Great plumbing company i have used them b4 and been very satisfied. I was given detailed estimates on my plumbing needs. Technician was very polite and professional. When i am ready to do my upgrades I will use there services. Thks crystal

Rafeal came after some very good communication on their side. He was very good at his job and is excellent on recommending more services. If you have cash to burn, this is a great company to do business with, however to give you an idea of what your in for, a 24' sewer snake and camera costs $349, a cleanout was quoted at $1300, and a in place clay pipe replacement and adding a cleanout: $8270. Rafael claims that these prices are median for the business, and I have to admit that I don't know what other plumbers will charge, but this all seems on the high end to me. They wouldn't quote anything over the phone.

I needed to have the long, 1940's sewer line under my house replaced. Enzo was the lead on the project and he was excellent. He explained every step of the process (which took 2 days) and gave me updates regularly throughout the day. He brought a crew of 2 and they worked really well together to get the project done in a timely manner. Their work area was neat and tidy and they designed an approach that caused minimal impact to the house. I very much appreciated Enzo's patience with my questions. I am greatly relieved that what could have been disaster is now taken care of with a 10 year warranty. I highly recommend ARS as a company and Enzo as a lead.

So I learned a hard lesson. Look around more. The thing that really makes me mad is the fact that I felt fleeced by these guys and will never use them again. I think its absolutely horrible that they take advantage of people like my elderly
mother especially during covid times. They overcharged her by at least 1000 dollars. The sink they installed is of very poor quality and it is rotting away. The toilet is so big smaller people will have a difficult time using it. So I could go on and on because
this work happened some time ago but the sink should not rot. I like them to make reparations. I've since found God reasonable plumber that does not rip me off.

Adrian Was very professional, courteous and helpful. Walked us through every step of the process and did not do anything until we were fully aware of what needed to be done and it had been thoroughly explained to us. He did his best to keep the cost down to a minimal while still doing the maximum amount of work. Very satisfied

They offer a Internet online special of clean out any drain for $88. But when they got to the house they gave me a lame excuse why they could not do it at that price. But then they said if I remove the toilet and put it back on they will do it. So I removed the toilet and then they changed their miand said no we want $400. Looks like they cherry pi k jobs...
Ended up using ROOTER HERO. He only charged me their $77 special, so I gave him a $23 tip.

Edgar is by far the best plumber I have ever worked with. We have had problems with our sewer line backing up from time to time for years, so we have hired many plumbers over the years. It was finally time to replace the sewer line. After getting quotes from several companies, I found ARS's price to be a good value. Edgar and his team (including Jason and Ignacio) were all very knowledgeable in answering my many questions about the process, were extremely professional, responsive, and finished the job sooner than I was expecting. I highly recommend Edgar and his team to anyone who is looking for a plumber.

I waited 12 hours for a plumber to show up. No one ever did, and I had to call repeatedly to get updates, all of which were inaccurate. This company is apparently unaware of the ‘No Show’ law in CA, which means they can be sued when they don’t show up for a scheduled 4 hour window. These folks didn’t show up, didn’t show up, didn’t show up. I don’t recommend using them.

I am a firm believer great companies are all about their people. The reps at ARS were not only kind and courteous but they were also honest. The technician assigned to our job, Ignacio, was on-time, took the time to listen to our problem, went through the options and even took extra time to sort through some confusion with his front office. He is the type of person you'd want working for your own company. No nonsense, got the job done, was kind to my family and totally professional.

Jerry C. was very helpful in both cleaning our tankless water heater, and also installing a recirculating pump. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous and a joy to work with. Getting hot water much faster than before. Highly recommended.

We have used ARS three times now within the last 6 months. The first time was for a scheduled gas line issue. We received such outstanding old fashioned customer service that we immediately called them for our more recent emergency issues which were leaking valves and a clogged sewer line from the garbage disposal. Each of the three technicians were so incredibly friendly. They walked us through the problems and possible solutions. They went the extra mile each time and I wondered if it was a family run company because of the way they do business. One of the most remarkable things is their ability to send someone out within hours of our emergency call. They followed up with a text message and phone call letting us know exactly when the technician would arrive. Their prices were as quoted and reasonable. It’s such a relief to find a company like this. We never like having to call for a plumber but we sure are glad to have one we can trust.

I was extremely happy with the service. Erik came to my home at about nine in the evening on Saturday. He explained the problems that were causing a back up in my tub. I asked him to repeat what he said so that I could take notes. Erik was extremely patient and kind. He noticed an important pipe that was broken under the utility sink in the laundry area. He explained its purpose and importance and what was needed to fix it or replace it. He gave me fair and timely estimates and gave me different options on how I wanted to proceed with repairs. Eric is a personable, respectful and positive service person that I recommend very highly. I have used this company before and been very satisfied each time.
I am adding an update to my review. Another repair man whose name is Guy,
came to complete the repairs that Erik had identified yesterday. Guy explained to me what needed to be done and fixed everything. He even went underneath the house in the crawlspace to check for leaks. He gave me estimates and asked permission to proceed before starting each repair.Guy Is the ultimate professional. I don’t have words to say how pleased I am with his work and with this company. Five stars!

Have used ARS for a few years when we have had drain clogs. I lose a lot of hair in the shower, and even though we use a hair trap in our drain, every 18 months or so it clogs up and needs to be cabled. Have used ARS in the past for this. Used them again today but was very surprised at how much their prices have increased. Their drain special/coupon is only for a clean out, and does not include cabling a regular drain. While they came down on their price to give us a break, it still was quite a bit more than it has been in the past. Not a good value for the service. However, their plumbers are always nice, respectful, and on time. We will continue to use them for any drain clog that they run specials for, but at this price we won't use them for our shower drain again.

My outside drain was plugged this morning. Called Rescue Rooter around 9:00 am. Got an appointment for 10:00 to 2:00. The technician showed up before 1:00 pm, and unplugged the drain. I like their prompt response. I wish that the technician hose wash the pavement afterwards.

They have no idea what APPOINTMENT means!!! Urgent service earns more money, just cancel the less money order, that's it.

Kitchen sewer got stuck, cannot use kitchen for cook. I called and arranged service the second morning. Then in the morning they called said other people has more priority issue than me, so they decide to push out me to another day.

Don't count on them.

Jerry was awesome and friendly. As first time home owners we had no idea what could be wrong with our plumbing. He was helpful and informative and very professional. He gave us a great action plan and saved the event we were planning for the next day!

I live in an older home, and my kitchen sink had a very slow drainage problem and I broke a pipe trying to fix it. I called ARS / Rescue Rooter. They came out quickly, and the plumber, Eric, was very personable and professional. He kept me informed about everything he was doing. I know my older sink was a struggle, but his professionalism was impressive to see. He did a beautiful job and I am very pleased. It was truly a pleasure having Eric work my plumbing issues. We called them late yesterday for a leak they couldn’t come at that moment because yes I completely get it was late (9:30pm) however they promised to send someone I out at 8am. 8:30 rolled around we still dealing with the leak that by now is obviously 100 times worst than last night, we call them for an eta they tel us they’re actually really busy and won’t be coming!!!! That’s it….that’s all. They left us hanging at a worst time!!! Very unprofessional we would of just paid someone an emergency fee if we knew they weren’t going to come. I would RECOMMEND calling another company who will that easily just leave you hanging!!!

I do not remember the nice guys name who helped me. But another company came out before him, was very rude, and had a high price.

I let the gentleman from this company know what I thought the problem was, what we needed done, and how much the other company was charging, and he came in about $100 cheaper on a sewer line clog fix. And ran a camera down the line so we can see what the problem was at no cost.

Over all the plumber was great to work with. Really nice fella. And the company was very easy to work with and had a fair price.

We have used ARS/Rescue Rooter several times and been very happy with them. Today, I called because none of our toilets would flush and the shower wouldn't drain. I called at 9:40am, got two calls afterwards updating me on the arrival time of the plumber. The plumber was finished and gone by 11:15, including running a camera down the drain line before and after the repair and augering out the tree roots that were blocking the pipe, all for $88. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Overall, a great experience!

Edgar and Fonzy were wonderful!! My house is old and piping was hard to access. They did a great job fixing my leak. They are Polite friendly, and on time. They explained everything to me and I appreciated that. I would use their service again if I ever need it.

The technician arrived on time -clean well dressed professional and willing to help with my plumbing problems. My technicians name was (Guy) he had a pleasant attitude while doing his job. He understood that my wife and I were Senior Citizens and on a fixed income budget. He recommended certain issues that may be future plumbing problems but we declined to peruse at this time. I was super happy with the response time, service and knowledge along with Guys award winning personality. I am very happy with the quality of his work and the time he spent problem solving our problematic pipe issues.

I could not have been more pleased with the work that Edgar from ARS Rescue Rooter did. I had to have my main water pipe replaced. He explained the process; ensured I had water over the weekend until the work was finished; completed installation in one day; and was able to get the City inspector out the day after the work was completed when It was originally going to take three weeks. He was friendly; very knowledgable; ensured safety issues associated with the project were handled; and provided exceptional customer service. I’ve already passed on his name and company to several friends. I highly recommend him.

Contacted ARS for the drainage issue we recently had. They sent a technician (Juan) out within the timeline they committed. The technician who arrived at our home was very courteous and knowledgeable. He finished the job and exceeded my expectations. He also recommended a follow-up repairs. We then met with a field supervisor (Guy) and reviewed the options. Upon review of the options, we decided to hire them to replace the existing pipes under the house. Extremely pleased with their service.

I found promo on its website. Then I want to try. The guy said 3pm on the way. Until 3:50pm, he arrived. Then the first sentence he said, if I want to camera inspection. I need to add more money. However, promo include a sewer inspection. Then I show him promo details. He made a call and agree with that. After that. He is not happy to do this labor work. Then he use machine to unclog drain. However. When he use camera. I still can see root in my pipe. The guy told me he just unclog drain. Cannot pull those roots out. However, I used other service. They always can help me clean it out. Then I want to get camera record. He said I need more money. I disagree and I did not get camera record. The guy is not carefully to hep me clean drain. I think if you choose this business, be careful. I think they just want to earn money not provide good services. And their regular service fee is greater than normal price on the market. Please do not choose this business. I suggest use yelp and choose top ones. Their business is much better.

Update 09/02: Edgar was amazing, we needed urgent help retrieving a valued object that fell down a drain pipe. At short notice they sent Edgar to us who promptly assessed the situation, gave us a great rate, incl. AAA discount, and helped retrieve the object in less than 30minutes. Thank you Edgar!

Update 12/02: Jeremy came over today to do urgent work unblocking our drain and a bunch of other little things. So efficient, professional, friendly, and done within less than an hour. Came fully prepared for our repairs. Great rate (of course given our AAA discount). Always a great service . Thank you Jeremy!

I filled out a Home Depot web request to have a professional replace my leaking water heater. The next morning I received a call from ARS, and we scheduled a visit by their estimator (John) later that day. My heater is in a cramped interior space, so we were concerned whether there was space to fit a replacement with the same capacity as the old one (newer heaters are bigger because they have more insulation). John spent a long time sending photos to and talking with someone back in their office, and concluded it would (barely) fit. He explained some additional work needed to bring things up to code, what it would cost, and we signed the paperwork. Later in the same day, the installer (Guy) showed up to look things over, and spotted a problem. Turns out the space was too cramped after all, so I was forced to go with a slightly smaller tank. Guy got John on the phone, we talked through the options, and they gave me overnight to decide. The next day I decided, John returned, we updated the paperwork, then Guy showed up with the replacement tank, and 4 or 5 hours later, my new tank was installed and functioning. Overall about 48 hours from Home Depot online click till job completed. The whole time they did a great job of communicating what was going to happen when, what my options were, and following through. Very professional, I would happily work with them again.

Jerry was Awesome!!!! I felt confident he could repair our septic pipe, and him and his team did it effortlessly. Thank you so much!!!!! I will definitely refer his company to all my family and friends.

Jerry & Lonnie and their crew did a great job of fixing our plumbing issues. We’ve had months of problems and even met with at least 5 different plumbing companies beforehand and none of them were able to really resolve anything. If you want the job done right, call these guys. Great service. Quality work. I highly recommend.

Jerry and Greg are outstanding professionals. We had an external gas line leak on the line that ran out to our pool heater. Other service providers wanted to sell us an entire reinstallation that would have cost $17,000 or more. Jerry understood the technical specifics of the pipe and knowledgeable in a safe, durable more cost effective repair of the damaged section. He and Greg then restored the landscape to its original state. Greg also made a PG&E recommended improvement to meter connection. The system was pressured test and run through its paces. They were in and out in one afternoon. All work came with a 10 year warranty.

I had backed up sewer pipes so I called ARS. I had used them once before and had a great experience then too (Jay), but this time it was Bruce - equally good! Both times the guys were friendly, knowledgeable, and didn’t talk down to me or try to get me to spend more than I needed to to get the job done. Monte (field supervisor?) also came out with a camera and confirmed Bruce’s diagnosis. Monte was also great. I would highly recommend ARS! Thanks for your commitment to the customer!

After the evaluation, I initially declined the service in part because I couldn't get service for the refrigerator repair. After thinking that if I didn't get the sink/toilet fixed, it would cost me more in the long run. Ignacio was very good and gracious for making it happen and taking the time to make it happen. In short, Guy (the ARS/Rescue Rooter service professional) did a fantastic job, was very professional, polite, and good attitude. For more details please note that this service call was done at 12:30 just after midnight on Thanksgiving morning. My main sewer line was clogged - no fun. I went through the online 24/7 plumbing list by googling 24 hour plumbing and of course most of those companies lie...they don't have 24 hour service. Even the famous other rooter guys who advertise 24/7 said they could come in two days!! But Rescue Rooter, well, came to the rescue. They indicated an estimate of two hours; arrived in a few minutes past that and immediately went to work. My problem was cleared almost immediately as Guy ran the rotor tool down through my outside clean-out pipe end. Guy was even able to tell me approximately how far out the blockage was which coincides with a tree root issue we had about 15 years ago. What's really cool is that recently we have had a slight smell coming from the bathroom sinks when the water runs (coming from the drain) and now that is gone. Very nice. Most all those other 24/7 plumbing sites, in my opinion, are scams, but ARS Rescue Rooter is as advertised and got the job done. Thanks

So we had Edgar and he was fantastic. Arrived here in Gilroy in a timely matter and service was quick. The job was done in about 10 minutes. It does help if you have an access line outside. Their tools have a special camera to let you know exactly what the issue is in your pipes. He was very professional and provided such a relief for our household. Would recommend to anybody and everybody. Great job!

This is a great company to work with. Prompt, attentive, courteous, professional, and great with their overall job. Jay came late in the night and patiently fixed everything and took time to explain long term options without hurrying us into anything. When a week later, we had another unrelated clog, Jay came back and went extra mile to help us out. Lenny also came with the camera to inspect the line and to educate us on options. I will definitely use Rescue Rooter again in the future. I had an urgent issue with an old galvanized pipe that had a hole in it. My tenant was without a kitchen sink and they sent out Enzo within 2 hours of my call to them. He diagnosed the situation and provided me with a reasonable estimate on the spot. He gave me a detailed explanation of the situation and what needed to be done. To complete the job he needed to get the parts. He scheduled me for first thing the following morning. Enzo and Ignacio arrived on time and completed the job efficiently and smoothly. My 5 star rating is based on professionalism, thoroughness, and reliability. Eric Matthew was excellent! Our kitchen sink was stopped up. He spent 3 hours on Saturday fixing it. He was very thorough and explained our options completely. He tried the least expensive option first and gave us a AAA discount too. Highly recommend!

Great Customer Service

Bruce arrived and did a same-day install of our much needed water heater. It had been out while my son was in the hospital and leaked over the stand. Bruce cleared a way the rotted wood stand, and put in a metal stand along with the new water heater. All questions answered. Work on done on time. Would definitely recommend.

Eric kindly came to my rescue with two toilettes plugged up in our home. He explained all potential options and possible direction this problem might lead to. I agreed and he worked like an expert explaining as he went along what he was trying to accomplish. I called at 4pm on a Friday evening and he was there in an hour. Service !! He fixed it like a pro and and was so careful as we had just painted the rooms a week ago. I would welcome this young man into my home anytime. What a big heart and so kind and honest. I had a kitchen sink backup which resulted in gray water pouring out under the sink. I had confidence in him because of his professionalism. I never felt like he was rushing to get my job done so he could get to the next job. He was easy to work with and told me my options. The work was completed the same day and he left my home clean. Even his wheeled snake cart had blue coverings on the wheels! I will certainly call this company again.

I am reviewing Rescue Rooter professional Dwayne B. Dwayne was the lead at the site (my home) for an exterior sewer line replacement. He was always on-time, arriving at my home as he had committed the day before. He ensured that the site was left cleaned up and in a safe condition each day of the project. His knowledge of the project was high-level. His explanations to my questions were complete and I was able to understand. He is personable and a good team leader. Due to a San Jose City delay in scheduling the city inspection, Dwayne came back to the site twice to ensure that the site was safe. I highly recommend Dwayne and the Rescue Rooter team.

I could not recommend Jay Rodriguez more highly. He was professional and persistent in dealing with a difficult main line clog. He was thorough and explained what he was going to do and the cost as well as alternate options prior to doing it. I will definitely call Rescue Rooter in the future anytime I have issues and I will request Jay as my plumber.

Carlos and Charlie were extra helpful upon arrival in fixing our kitchen faucet and even offered to rid of us any black widow spiders that they found! They were honest in telling us that we might need to repair an additional part if it leaked upon on installation, but saved us that money by telling us it wouldn't be necessary when everything was installed properly! Fortino, who came the day before, also provided great customer service when examining the faucet replacement, which required special tools to remove. All in all, it was a great customer service experience once they arrived.

Eric was on time, polite, and professional. It was clear to me in dealing with him and watching him work he takes pride in his job and enjoys helping people through his tradecraft. Our kitchen line was cleared quickly as estimated. I am a happy customer, would call Eric at ARS Rescue Rooter again and will recommend to friends and neighbors. I called ARS / Rescue Rooter around 5pm on a Monday evening for a Backed up Main Line and they had a Plumber out and the job done before 8pm. The Dispatch employee was very friendly and understanding. The Plumber “ Guy” was awesome. He new his craft and immediately found the problem with my drain and had it flowing in under 30 min. Price was $88 just as advertised. I highly recommended ARS / Rescue Rooter For your backed up main lines. Make sure you have an accessible clean out that makes all the difference.

Great service from John P with the quote & purchase and Guy with the delivery & installation. John was very clear with the explanation of the water heater & install options they provide. A week following the initial quote, I went forward with the purchase & install. Guy provided excellent service regarding the installation Both men take pride in their quality of work & service. My house is 114 years old and the sewer connection is still original. Which is to say clay pipe. Edgar was very helpful in explaining the options available. He ran the hydro jet 6 times just to make sure the line was clear of roots. I was very satisfied.

Rescue Rooter sent Rafael very promptly to fix my toilet clog. He came within the ETA window and did his work right away. He put shoes plastic cover before coming into my apartment, which was nice. Rafael was very patient and efficient with everything. The toilet was fixed within 10 minutes and he made sure it was fixed by testing the flush several times before he left. Thank you Rafael and Rescue Rooter!!

Guy M. at ARS exceeded all my expectations with his knowledge and recommendations. I've dealt with a lot of contractors on various home improvement and repair jobs, and this experience was among the best. My new water heater will be installed tomorrow (it's not an emergency or they could have done it today) so their responsiveness was very good.

Bruce was very nice and professional. He replaced our water heater, and a couple valves. He patiently explained every detail and upgrade that he was doing. Edgar and Walter came to help me assess my clogged toilet issue. They were both very friendly and professional. They explained the problem to me and helped clarify any questions I had. Great customer service from both Edgar and Walter. Both seemed very down to earth and knowledgeable in their job. I was only renting from my place and my landlord refused the service but their initial assessment was greatly appreciated.

The service was excellent when it arrived. My only issue was that I was given 4 different service times on the day I requested service. Ultimately, my service was pushed back to the next day nearly 24 hours after the original service time. When Fortino arrived, he was excellent. He solved my plumbing problem quickly and efficiently. The work he performed looks right and operates perfectly. He was courteous, clean and thorough. He cleaned up afterward to a better appearance than when he arrived. I was very impressed by Fortino

Lonnie was honest and understanding and took time to be curious as to where the leak was and why. He recommended a leak detection company so my yard wouldn’t have to be dug up trying to find the leak in the water main. Jerry was experienced and fixed the leak in a timely manner and was very pleasant to work with. I would recommend this company and these specific people!

The technician arrived in a timely matter the day following the previous day's appointment scheduling. He explained the work that needed to be completed to clear the 2 blocked lines. During the process I was instructed to turn on hot water and flush 2 toilets proving the lines had been cleared. He even cleaned up my garage sink which had standing water for 2 days! He was totally professional in all aspects of the job! I highly recommend Rescue Rooter for any sewer drain issues and will use Rescue Rooter in the future!

This is the second time I have used Rescue Rooter in a month for two different houses and issues. The first time was an extensive sewer replacement which was done top notched and included a group of phenomenal plumbers (Rafael, Juan, Brock, Jason and Dave)
This is why I called them for another plumbing issue at a family’s house. I called and within an hour, Rafael came out again, diagnosed the problem and got us going again.
I will always call Rescue Rooter first and highly recommend them to anyone who wants a professional, reasonable and fast plumbing issue taken care of.

Had a clogged toilet called ARS and they were able to come out right away. Eric the technician was great. He explained what he was going to do and provided the cost. He told me if he couldn’t fix it there would be no charge, which I found rare these days. He took care of the problem immediately. He was very nice and professional!!

I was impressed with Rescue Rooter and I'm a stickler for customer service.
Duane B. was prompt, arriving when he said he would several different times. He did the work, explained to me what was going on, and worked his schedule around mine. He was courteous to me and careful not to let my cats out whenever he had to come in or go out. He always put on shoe protectors when he came in. I could not have asked for better service.

Jerry identified a problem that the previous plumbers misdiagnosed and saved us thousands of dollars. He cut through a blockage instead of breaking the foundation to remove it, which all the other plumbers recommended. He is a highly trustworthy individual who went above and beyond and whom I would strongly recommend.

ARS was very responsive. We scheduled a window of time for the appointment and Edgar showed up right on time. My technician, Greg, diagnosed my slow moving kitchen drain as clogged pipes, and replaced the 65 year old galvanized steel with plastic. The pipes were 95% clogged as it turned out. Greg was polite, knowledgeable, hard working, timely and all around exceptional. I have not used ARS before but will again for any plumbing need.

Jerry was superb. He arrived punctually and dealt quickly and efficiently with my backed up sink and garbage disposer. Rafael was great he checked the drain valve on the hot water heater,a it was slightly loose he turned it a quarter turn. He suggested we replace it since it was over 20 years old. I recently had my sewer line replaced along with a new property line cleanout installed at my home. It turned out to be a really big job. Jerry was excellent in explaining the work process and keeping me informed each day. The first night he went above and beyond to clean out a section of the sewer to ensure I could have a shower in the morning. Jerry along with Jason, Dee, Angel and Jason were great. They worked hard, were courteous, cleaned up every day, and moved all the rocks, pavers and everything back in my big front yard when the job was done. The technician told me the good, bad, and ugly right up front, so there was no surprises on the cost. He made an honest attempt at clearing the drain from the clean out, which the discount price would have qualified for. It did not clear the drain, so had to tear apart the drain and snake it directly. That worked. He was very professional and personable, and cleaned up after he was through. Edgar absolutely knew what he was doing from the beginning and throughout the job. He diagnosed the problem quickly and once the job was underway he showed me the correctness of his judgement both with a camera inserted in the waste pipe and later by showing me the condition of sections of pipe as they were removed. They were having a so called $88 special, which made the price quite reasonable compared to other services that either will not give an estimate over the phone or who wanted two and three times as much. Jerry did a great job.

Our kitchen faucet is leaking from the base. Plumber came out and looked and went to get his tools. Came back saying his tools were missing and he now has to go to the store. Came back from store with tools, but was unable to take apart the faucet. Gave his best guess as to the problem but obviously he had no way of knowing for sure. We decided just to replace the faucet and made an appointment for the next day. Early into the appointment window he calls to say he won’t be able to make the appointment and that no one else could come instead. This place was terrible all the way around and I wouldn’t recommend ever.

Carlos was at my home today researching a clogged pipe. He is very personable and took time to review all of the drain pipes on one section of the house. The pipes are 50 years old. Repairing the sprinkler manifold, I broke the gate valve right before going on vacation. Contacted ARS Rooter on Friday evening and had a servce technician out first thing Saturday morning. Bruce, showed up on time and let us know in advance he was coming. When Bruce arrived he explained the work to be performed and different options and recommended the risk associated with the job since replacing the gate valve would be risky since the water pipes were galvanized steel. After some discussions, an alternate solution was proposed to open the gate valve and see if the issue of bring water into the house would get resolved, which it it. Bruce also provided recommendations to upgrade the water from the meter and inlets into the house and provided a quote.
I recommend ARS Rescue Rooter and Bruce. Bruce was very clear in explaining the different options and associated risk and being a homeowner recommended a cheaper solution with an option to upgrade the system later. Bruce, saved the day and we were able to start our vacation later in the morning. I would recommend Bruce. He is totally professional and very outgoing and engaging. Thanks Bruce, you Rock.

I had a gas leak on an outside gas line that needed to be replaced. The gas pipe was approximately 20ft long. The old one was dug up and a new one was installed at least 18 underground. After it was installed the technician cleared the air in the pipe and tested the burners on the stove and lit the pilot on the water heater. Very happy with the professionalism of the technicians(2).

At around 4 pm on Sunday, one of the toilets in my Mom’s house started backing up. Plunging didn’t work so at 5 pm it was time to call the Pros. My Mom is 80 years old and has a medical condition where fast/easy access to a bathroom is imperative. Of the 5 companies we called, 4 said they couldn’t be there until Monday morning (even though the ads said 24/7 service) and one didn’t answer. ARS Rescue Rooter (the building I live in uses them) called back at 5:30 and asked if we still needed a plumber; we said yes, so they said they were sending one over.

Richard arrived about 6:15 after he called at 6 to say he was on the way. He couldn’t have been nicer! He looked at the bathrooms and told my Mom how he’d like to proceed, which she OK’d. Richard said he’d get everything fixed as soon as possible after talking to her. He sure got a workout! The cleanout hadn’t been opened in over 25 years, and he really had to wrestle to get the cover off – but he wasn’t going to let a piece of brass get in his way of finishing the job?. Richard explained everything he was doing while he was doing it, and went over the invoice with her to make sure all herr questions were answered. Richard was polite, courteous, and patient - a total hero! My Mom said he’s the nicest, kindest worker she’d ever had. To top it off, it ended up my sister and Richard even had a friend in common!

Eli was smart, efficient, considerate, and friendly. Good communication, good problem-solving. We called on Saturday after a vacation with water-heater failure. He checked it, then quickly went to get new heater because the supplier closes at noon. We were up & running that afternoon.

Thank you so much for sending Juan out to fix my toilet issue. He was prompt, let me know what was happening every step of the way and went out of his way to explain everything. I've had varying results with Rescue Rooter over the years, but I had my best experience ever when Bruce installed a new garbage disposal for me. The estimate was higher than I expected, and that task didn't take him more than 30 minutes, making me think I could've done the installation myself.

However, what happened next is really what made this such a great experience, and worth the money. I had a few minor annoying issues with a few faucets in the house, and Bruce told me what I needed to do to resolve it. I also have a bigger issue with the tub diverter in one of my showers, and he took it apart (which was quite an endeavor because of some wonkiness in that shower), took a look at a few things, and told me it's time to replace that component, but he put things back to together (e.g. unwonkified my setup) such that *I* can get a new tub diverter and easily install it myself.

Finally, he did a water heater inspection and advised me that my earthquake protection straps were loose and that my cold water line needs insulation around it to meet building codes...and he gave me some spare insulation he had in his truck, empowering me to do it when I have a chance.

Bruce was extremely helpful and friendly, and next time I have an issue, I will ask for him by name.

They cleared my sewer line of tree roots. They came out on time and showed me the tree roots with a video camera. Routed them out to clear the line for a temporary fix. Then they told me that I will need to have the sewer line replaced very soon in the coming months so it doesn’t get stopped again.

Richard was fantastic, on two trips to sort out issues I had related to my kitchen line clogging up.

From getting setup with the appointment, to the confirmation, to landing in the arranged time window and executing the task efficiently and expertly and delightfully, I heartily recommend this outfit and their services.

They cancelled an urgent appointment at the last minute and would only reschedule after two days! Even after I explained in detail that it was urgent they refused to work with me. Their reason for cancelling: got many calls that morning and did not have enough people. You cannot accept more appointment and cancel existing ones!

What a pleasant experience working with the tech who came to look at the problem. The problem was unusual and beyond what Rescue Rooter could solve but they provided great guidance on how we may be able to solve it. Also, provided tips on avoiding it in future. I called ARS Rescue Rooter on Saturday afternoon for an issue with our water heater. They were helpful on the phone and arranged an appointment for Sunday morning. Our plumber was Bruce and he did an excellent job fixing the issue!

We had a sewer backup and ARS rescue rooter helped us diagnose the problem and spent a lot of time getting to the real cause. Our sewer pipes needed replacing which is a big job. jerry and the team were the utmost professionals and arranged schedules to do the job from start to finish. They know how to deal with removal of cement and vegetation to install brand new piping It is a relief to be done and can’t say enough about ARS.

Fantastic late-night service by Bruce. We had a slowing kitchen drain which I had suspected to be a sink problem but was not. The 2” line going to the sewer main from the kitchen sink, dishwasher and washer/ dryer was clogged exactly at late night before a dinner party. The phone staff were not knowledgeable enough to process what I was telling them and even though this could have waited overnight they sent someone (Bruce) who drove over 50 miles.

Despite this, he quickly overcame disappointment and provided smiling, courteous service. For the circumstances, the charges were very reasonable. I will certainly hire ARS again and ask for Bruce.

We were a return customer. After yesterday, we won't be calling again. Their business model seems to be to gouge customers and try to upsell them when they make an appointment for a simple drain clear.

I called these guys out to unclog my kitchen sink. They suggested a new garbage disposal, which I decided to have them quote and install because ours was old. I was quoted $825 for a garbage disposal I found online at Home Depot for $130. I understand marking up the parts they install, but isn't that margin quite excessive? To top it off when I balked at the price, they immediately had no issue taking off $200. My initial thought: They were intent to gouge a return customer if I didn't question the price of the disposal. Once we agreed on the price of the disposal, the upsell started for piping, fasteners, and baskets,etc- all at outrageous prices.

Customer beware. These guys have one thing in mind when they come to your house, to recommend overly priced upsells and to gouge you. Run, don't walk away. Find a plumbing service that values you as a customer and your business and doesn't try to take advantage of you.

People, stay away! Check out the reviews for them on Yelp- especially lately. Lots of one star reviews. There's a common theme. These guys are scam artists and seem intent to want to take advantage of their customers by price gouging. Find a plumbing service that truly cares about their customers. These guys don't.

Wasted my whole Saturday waiting. Called at 8am and told the technician would be there within 2 hours. At 10 they called and changed the timeframe to 11-1. At 1 heard heard nothing and called in only to be told I could not be given a time estimate of when they would arrive but that they would stay in contact. Called again and told they could not reach the technician. I’m 9 months pregnant and trying to get as much stuff done before the baby comes but put everything else off as unclogging our kitchen sink is clearly a priority. Feel very taken advantage of that they couldn’t call and reschedule if today didn’t work for them so that I could have attended to other errands. Do not trust their timelines as they felt no remorse for continually pushing me back or not being able to even guarantee me an appointment when I waited all day. Better to find another provider

Our rental unit in Campbell had the sewer line backed up and plugged. Jay Rodriguez came out December 2018 to take care of the problem. He was courteous and took the time to answer all of my questions. Jay informed me that someday I may need to replace the very old sewer pipes *and* also recommended that I get a cleanout installed to help reduce the cost of future clean outs. Go to present day (April 2019) and the sewers have backed up again. Given the great service I received with ARS/Rescue Rooter I decided to give them a call again. I met Monte (Jay's Supervisor) and Juan Diaz. Both men were very courteous (Do you see a familiar pattern here?!?) and they cleared out the sewer plug again. This time however, I decided to get the sewer pipes replaced and a clean out installed. Juan Diaz and the rest of the ARS/Rescue Rooter team were AWESOME. Juan updated me daily on the progress and even text'd me photos of the progress. The cost of the work was competitive with other companies out there *AND*, THE WORK WAS DONE WITH HIGH QUALITY and everything was cleaned up and put back together! If you are in need of plumbing work, don't hesitate to call ARS/Rescue Rooter. Jay, Monte and Juan were fantastic and that's why this company will always be my go to team for any future plumbing needs. :-)

We initially hired them to snake a clogged mainline sewer. They were able to unblock it, but also did a complementary video inspection and identified roots that would have caused recurrence. Technician was able to repair my kitchen plumbing issues on Saturday. Primary issue was clogged drain causing water to back up into the sink and fill it. Service was completed in only a couple of hours despite discovery of 2 additional issues beyond clogged drain pipe. Really appreciated the fast service!

It is really a great experience that Mr. Rafael come in to check and help to contact San Jose city, so, city promise to come in to inspect. As I was told by friends that city won't take care of the issue caused by city tree on sidewalk and sewer system, without met Mr. Rafael, I will most likely end up making wrong decisions. Now with city staff come in to inspect, we start on the right path now. If I have any more plumbing issues, I will surely call Rafael for help.

Baring initial scheduling snafu between the call center and their dispatcher, the technician showed up on time next day. He was very courteous and professional. I am giving one star less for the companies scheduling mis communication.

Jay proposed a number of ideas to solve the problem; it being a hold house, was not an easy fix. Thanks to Jay with support from Juan our plumbing is fully functional again. I'd gladly call ARS and especially Jay and Juan again.

Jerry helped my parents get their water heater replaced within 1 day. He was super helpful with explaining why the old water heater broke and why our the water pressure was so bad. Definitely 5 stars!

If I can give No star, I would! ARS is very bad at scheduling their plumbers to come onsite. We had been rescheduled 3 times for the 1st job we engaging ARS, through Homedepot purchase. The plumber was great. However, the 2nd time we schedule ARS, they canceled the appointment 30 min before the plumber should showup. Very bad to work with. Be ready to waste your time.

Edgar the tech was super friendly and very knowledgeable. He was super fast but detail oriented. I recommend ARS for any Rescue Rooter problems

Jerry did install today a hybrid water heater, very professional, polite and everything done the same day. They will definitely do all of my project with them moving forward.

I had a clog in my main line so that my tubes, toilets and washing machine would not drain, the water would back up into my tubes. I called rescue rooter and they said the soonest they could come out would be Monday, i scheduled an appointment for 10 to 12. After having no luck getting my toilets to flush i called back and asked about their 24/7 emergency service. They said they would put in mu request for immediate service and call me back with a time for that night. They called me back later and said no one was available for that night and rescheduled my original appointment on Monday. (So much for 24/7 emergency service). Lucky the drano i pored down the drain worked overnight and at least my toilets worked in the morning.

Monday:
11:30 rescue rooter calls me and says the technician is delayed and might be another hour or two.

12:30 they call and say the technician just freed up and should be at my house with in the hour.

1:00 the technician Rafelle shows up. I notice he is here because my dogs bark. I open my door and he is at the end of my drive way just looking around. He shouts out Christian? I say yes just a minute. I get my child out of her high chair and walk to the end my drive way to see whats going on. He is checking my city line clean out. He asks me some questions about the problem and i answer them. We walk around my property looking for a main line clean out. There is not one. He tells me that i need to install a main line clean out and it will be $3500. He says other companies might be able to snake from my roof but his company does not do that. I ask him if there are any other options like snaking through the tub drain. He says no, does not offer an explanation. I ask hime more questions and all he keeps repeating is the main line is bigger, 4.5 inches. I tell him i understand the main line is bigger what i don't understand is why he can’t snake through the tub drain. He keeps getting more defensive and agitated as i ask him questions telling i called him, the professional, and he says i have to install the clean out. Then he tells me i don't understand what he is saying and tell me to looks at the near by tree. U ask him if i can explain to him what i believe he is telling me. He says sure. I says that my tubs have a smaller drain pipe and that pipe goes down and connects to the larger main pipe that is 4.5 inches but that you cant go down the drain pipe to clear out the main pipe. He says that is correct, so i do understand what is explaining to me. While i am explaining this he start to walk away from me. I tell him i don't understand why he has this bad attitude and he says i am the one with the attitude, gets in his van and drives off. (As a note, the Raffele never introduced himself the entire time he was at my house, I got his name from a manager.)

After Raffele drove off I called the company and asked for a manger. They took my phone number and a manager, Dave, called me back. I explained to him what had happened. While we were talking he explained that the reason you cant go down the tub drain is that the cleaning tool that would fit down the tub drain would be ineffective in the larger main pipe, it would just twist and tangle it self up. This is the part that raffele did not tell me. He just said no it won’t work but never explained why. Then he said i had two options, install the clean out valve or pull one of my toilets and have a technician snake the main line through the toilet pipe. He said he would see what he could do about getting anither technician too my house and calk me back. He called back a few minutes later said he could have a second technician at my house within the hour. He said that usually pulling the toilet and snaking the main line costs $495 but he would give it to me for $295. I said that would be great. ( interesting how Rafelle never mentioned the option of pulling the toilet and snaking the main that way.)

A second plumber came and fixed the problem by pulling the toilet and clearing the clog.

Customer service is garbage. I made an appointment with them to service my water softener. When making the appointment, the girl verified that this was a service that they did perform. A week later after our service window had come and gone, I called them and was told that they don't service water softeners and that they'd called to cancel. I checked with my wife and they called her and left a VM in the latter half of our service appt window. I stayed home from work to meet with them and scheduled the day around this. Highly unprofessional, I won't think of using them again.

Richard called before coming which I always appreciate. He got right to work and explained the way he wouldn’t make a mess. He didn’t! He encountered a few problems from the previous installer. All in all, Richard did a great job!!!

David Grijalva is most professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.He explained very clearly what he did to solve our plumbing problem; and the major pipe replacement we need. Replaced 2 sections of 4” cast iron sewer pipe installed in 1954. All 4 gentlemen (Eric, Guy, Edgar and ?) were thorough in the assessment of the problem and clear and concise in describing the solution. They were respectful of our home and efficient with the installation of new sewer pipe. This is our “go to” company for plumbing issues.

Sewer line backing up into shower. Since no outside clean out was available the toilet had to be removed to do the job. The service was great and things were fully explained in detail. Would use this service again.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We had a main line flood on the morning of 12/22/17. Called Rescue Rooter as they’re listed as ‪24/7‬ emergency  plumbing service. We were told they were busy, but they would send someone out ASAP. Someone finally came that evening. He offered us the option of clearing the obstruction using a snake, or 2nd option, with a hydro -jet. The second option was however not an option at the time because he did not have the equipment. So for lack of any other choice, we “chose” the snake. Unfortunately he had a short snake, not a commercial grade extended one, so he was unable to clear the drain.
We were then told that they will likely have to hydro-jet  the line to clear it completely. It costs $1,200. He promised he’d get on the line to have someone come out ASAP with a longer snake + a hydro-jet just in case the longer snake couldn’t clear the line. Got a call that night that no one was available to come, but that they would send someone out ASAP the next morning. (24/7??) We could not use the plumbing (faucet/showers/toilets) until then. Luckily we’re avid campers, so we made due, and went out with our dog. Next morning, waited until 9A, no one came, so we called the company. Well apparently no one knew of our situation and no one was scheduled to come out. After much heated discussion, a plumber was dispatched by 10:30A. Snaking it with the same length of snake as the 1st plumber didn’t do the trick (we told him that it had already been tried. Why he tried that again, we don’t know.) Luckily he had a commercial grade snake (longer and sturdier) and tried that. The second procedure removed a root and the blockage began to drain. After that we were offered (again) the option to clean the line with the hydro-jet Under the assurance that for $1,200 the line would be completely cleared of any obstuction (and covered by warranty for 5 years,) we opted to proceed with the hydro- jet. $1,200 is not cheap, but we needed to clear it. Hours later, the plumber ran the line, it was clear, he said it had been repaired. Now, here we are, 2 weeks later, January 8, 2018. we run a load of laundry, hear gurgling in the kitchen sink, and on intuition, check the garage. Flooding again. Called the same office that “helped” us out before. After explaining my previous situation, I get the runaround and am told no one was available  until the next day. In the meantime, I can’t use my plumbing. So after talking with them and lodging a complaint, they agreed to try and send someone between 4-6P. 6P, a plumber comes out, I explain my situation to her, she looks @my invoice and tells me that the hydro- jet is maintenance, not repair. Well we weren’t told that, and we’re not plumbers, so how were we to know? If we’d known, we would’ve scheduled a repair rather than do the hydro jet option, and use the $1,200 towards the repair!! She tells me she doesn’t have the right equipment on her truck (again not having equipment. These are ‪24/7‬ emergency plumbers right?) but that she would do what she could. She tried snaking it, it didn’t work. So then she tells me they’ll have to send a tech with a camera to inspect the line tomorrow. Learning from my previous experience with them, I ask for the tech’s name and window so I know when to expect him/her. In the meantime I’m told, do not use the plumbing (kids, get out the bucket!) I feel swindled out of $1,200. I feel cheated and lied to.
After this fiasco, I read through all the reviews of this company and it sounds like this is their scam. They tell you there’s a main line block, charge $1,200 to hydro jet, then a few weeks later when it re-floods, they put a camera down the line and tell you it’s broken, again charging thousands to dig. I called the head office to lodge a complaint. The mgr came out the next day. He said they needed to dig, hire a surveyor + a landscaper costing me thousands. And meantime, no plumbing. I called another company for a 2nd opinion and within 2hrs my sewer line was clear. 2 hours only! DO NOT USE RESCUE ROOTER!!!! They LIE and SCAM.

Business was efficient, responsive, polite, professional, with fine customer service, including the plumber himself, the initial phone contact and the subsequent service contact by phone.
Plumber solved the problem while keeping me updated and made several good suggestions on future activity.

These guys age fast and knowledgeable and go above and beyond to get the job done.ignacio was great I highly recommend rescue rooter and Ignacio for any of your plumbing needs he should get a raise for his dedication when it comes to customer satisfaction.

Dwayne and Jay were true professionals from start to finish! Dwayne explained exactly the process and what to expect and time frame to complete! He did exactly what he said they would do and more! He made this unexpected project, cost and inconvenience as easy to handle as possible! He was the right choice for this project!

I wish I could give 5 stars just for the result, but I really disappointed with their estimation price. I had a pipe leak near the water meter and it was the coupling which connecting the pipe the meter to the pipe going into the house. they said that they gonna dig in remove the water meter box to get some space to the pipe to do the fix and they'll put the box back in place and re cement the surface, but in reality they just dug the sand and cut the pipe then glued a new pipe to stop the leak. So in my opinion for others who will use their service make sure you know what they are going to charge you for, not trusting them fully because they make easy fix but make it seems so hard that going to cost you waaaay more money for the work they don't do. I hope this info helps.

I called to ask for a quote on replacing our garbage disposal and the lady on the phone said they don't give quotes on the phone... They wouldn't even give me a price range! $200-500? A thousand? More? They wouldn't tell me what their hourly rates or consultation fees are either -- they don't tell you over the phone, only in person. I'm sorry I don't want to be rough but I thought that was very unprofessional. I will update my review when the plumber comes to reflect if my opinion of this company changes.

Richard came out for our backed up sewers today and ended up solving an ongoing problem for us. By asking a few extra questions and searching our property, he found an exposed sewer inlet and ended up clearing a blockage between the inlet and the main out in the street. We’ve had several backups over the last year and he’s the first technician to figure out the main blockage was passed this inlet and out in the street. Will definitely use them again in the future!

Called them on Sunday with main line sewer clogging and they were able to get plumber (Rafel) in couple of hours. Rafel diagnosed problem as soon as he arrived and recommended me to call city emergency line for it. He was honest and suggested few things I could to prevent the clogging in future.

Find someone else - they'll just keep you waiting then cancel last minute.

Great Service. He was efficient and did a good job explaining everything. And when he was done he left everything clean.

After some research I discovered I was charged $1,380 to install a $300 toilet. These guys are a gouge. Beware.
