Mr. Alvarez did a great job of replacing our kitchen faucet. He was prompt, skillful and obeyed the prevailing protocols of our pandemic. We would use him again and recommend him to others.

I was so impressed with their service. They were on time, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They will be our go to plumber from here on out. We had a clogged shower drain, and they fixed it in no time, and they offered ways to help prevent it in the future!

It was great to work with Local Rooter. They showed up within the 2-hour window we were given and were ready to work. Our clogged pipe could not be cleaned for several attempts, but we were not charged for the visit. They provided a video inspection to see what caused the blockage inside the pipe. It was heavy tree root, and the clogged pipes needed to be replaced. They were able to get started the next day, which was a Saturday and finished with clean up on Sunday. Everyone we worked with was very professional, pleasant, and helpful. Highly recommend Local Rooter for everyone.

Edgar was very nice and helpful, changed the toilet for us, quoted us at 448 and that’s exactly what he charged. Did not charge extra for old toilet disposal, which is very nice.

These guys are like a bunch of used car salesmen. I had a water heater problem and when these guys showed up, they immediately pointed that need to replace a whole new water heater costing 4k, without even running any diagnostic testing on the water in bathrooms. Then when I refused to do it, the guy got all upset and just kept trying to sell me on all sorts of other stuff which doesn’t even fix the root cause of problem. Turns out I found another more honest plumber nearby who got the job done without having to replace new unit. Strongly don’t recommend this place.

My experience with Plumbtree Plumbing & Rooter was satisfactory despite some miscommunications with company representatives. Anthony Morin arrived on May 30 to provide an estimate to replace a 41 year old Hoyt water heater that was leaking. He recommended a Bradford and White unit --one that he has in his home.

On June 1, Technicians Juan Arreola and Jason Esparza arrived to the remove the old unit and install the new one. When they were bringing in the new unit, I noticed that it was not the one that Anthony specified, so Juan contacted the dispatch office for assistance. He then handed me the phone where I spoke to the company owner who agreed to take back other unit and install the Bradford and White unit. Once the unit was installed, I thanked Juan and Jason.

On June 16, I received a text alert that Juan was on his way to my home around 9:30am. I was at work in my office and wondered why I received this alert as I was not aware of a scheduled appointment for that day. Soon after I received a call from the Plumbtree from Hannah. She explained that the appointment was scheduled in error and that they needed to schedule an inspection date for the water heater installation by the City of San Jose Code enforcement and they were aware that at least one installation detail needed to be corrected. Hannah scheduled another appointment for me for Jun 22, 2022 to correct the installation deficiency. Juan arrived around 9am and completed that task---the connection from the pressure relief valve needed to be solid copper pipe with a brass nipple connection to the existing galvanized steel pipe as code requires.

Hannah at Plumbtree dispatch scheduled an appointment for final inspection on July 12, 2022. The City of San Jose inspector arrived shortly after 8am and asked to see the permit and inspect the installation. He noted 3 areas of installation that did not meet code. He noted on the permit that the inspection failed, returned the permit to me and said another inspection would be required to be scheduled by Plumbtree once the corrections were made and then left. Juan arrived about 10 mins later. I informed him that the inspector had inspected the installation and found 3 areas of concern that needed correction. He called back Plumbtree dispatch for advice and to get more detail on what corrections were needed to pass the code inspection that had been uploaded by the inspector to the City of San Jose Code Enforcement portal. Juan completed the required modifications by noon and said that he would be back on July 14, 2022 to meet the inspector for reinspection. Juan arrived shortly before 8am to ensure that he did not miss the inspector. The City inspector arrived around 820am . They went to water closet where the inspector confirmed that all the required corrections to the installation had been made and then signed off as completed and passed final inspection.

Plumbtree worked with me to ensure that I was satisfied with the installation, accommodating me with workable appointment dates, and that the installation met code requirements.
