Best Drain in San Jose CA

Bobby Mata came back today from MC Plumbing and serviced our shower temperature valve which sounds simple enough but its an important part to the regulation of hot/cold water flow from the water source. Bobby finished, showed me the finished work, great job and even showed me how to do this in the future. Its like searching You Tube but live and in color. I could ask questions. Price, totally reasonable and very courteous, professional, well dressed, well mannered. I've worked with a few plumbers over the years for this and that but really happy i called on MC Plumbing and even better, Bobby Mata worked on my problem at home. If their technicians at MC Plumbing are like Bobby, then MC Plumbing is the place to call when you need quality service for your plumbing needs. By the way, office staff were all very helpful, courteous, confirmation calls, helped me even reschedule once leading up to the service today. Call MC Plumbing when you feel a professional is needed.

Crown Plumbing quickly sent out a plumber. I had a frozen cartridge in the shower faucet. He was able to remove the cartridge without damage to the faucet. He installed a new cartridge. Very knowledgable. Cost quoted before starting. Highly recommended.

We used Marti's Plumbing Service for an emergency water heater change-out in June, 2021. We also asked that they apply for a building permit on our behalf, and Marti's agreed.

The technician sent by Marti's did not install all of the necessary parts for the water heater. He also cut the line between the water heater and the washer and caused a leak. Only after multiple conversations did Marti's compensate us for the amount that we had paid to repair the leak.

Marti's also refused to apply for a building permit after their initial promise, so I applied for a water heater change-out permit on my own. I received the following list of corrections from the City of Cupertino's building inspector. I called Marti's many times to bring the water heater up to code, because they provide a one-year warranty with their services, but it was very difficult to reach them to schedule a follow-up visit.

City of Cupertino's List of Required Corrections:

1. Single wall vent connector for water heater requires 6 min clearance to combustibles ( Sheetrock ) and single wall connector not approved for penetrating rated assembly.
2. Provide access to vent flue to verify B-vent or install new for water heater flue.
3. Provide insulation on first 5'ft of water lines at water heater
4. T&P piping at termination to not be threaded and to terminate 6-24 off garage floor or pipe to exterior and maintain same termination clearance off ground surface
5. Water heater to be fully blocked and braced
6. Water heater bracing at lower brace to be located within bottom 1/3 and 4 above control valve
7. Tighten water heater bracing
8. Provide water bond hot to cold and to gas line.
9. Provide approved expansion tank brace and install per manufactures installation instructions
10. Provide sediment trap on gas line after the valve and before the flex

We had a broken dishwasher disposal and called Bueno Plumbing. They were able to send someone out the same day, but I wasn't available to meet with them until the next day. Kevin came out on time and quickly assessed the damage, gave me a very reasonable estimate, and had it working again in no time. He was so friendly & knowledgeable. They made the whole process really simple, I would highly recommend them!

What a great experience! From talking to Jeni on the phone, Marty showing up the same day to assess the water heater, and then the crew who came and installed the new unit the next day, I couldn't be happier! Their collective professionalism, integrity and knowledge was refreshing and informative. I knew absolutely nothing about water heaters, but now feel educated enough to know what to do next time. And they are all so nice!! I highly recommend Water Quality Plumbing for any plumbing needs you have. They've been around since 1970, and it showed! I dig that!

Came home from vacation and water heater started leaking like crazy. We turned off the water and, based on previous positive experience with a bathroom toilet repair, we knew to call Giovanni first. He walked me through the issue and luckily no repair was needed this time -- thank you, Giovanni! You can bet we're going back to San Jose Drain and Main when an issue requiring repair comes up in the future.

Expect to Wait All Day
They give you a 4 hour window, but the supervisor shows up. The worker comes later in the day. The supervisor is trying to sell you a new water heater, when you just have a broken pipe. Why does it cost $1400 when the worker only make $10 per hour? Thr pipe did get fixed, tho.
Update: pipe repair failed a day later. More hours without water.
