Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Highly recommended for any plumbing work. I had my sewer line clogged and Antonio (awesome technician) was able to clear it in 20 mins. This was after another plumbing company couldn't clear and were asking me to dig the sewer line and pay $3000.

I was very happy with the service I received from Dario. He was polite and professional. He advised me that it was a bad investment to repair the old toilet and I was better off to replace it. He helped me understand the process of buying the new toilet and then did a great job installing it and disposing of the old one. He really took care of my needs. I was glad to have his help.

Roselyn Vasquez did a superb job today helping me clear a clog in my sink drain. Not only that, but she discovered a leak and replaced a few needed parts for free (using spares she had on hand). She also gave me excellent advice in general, including about what faucet to buy. (She told me the one I had bought was the wrong one and directed me on how to find the right one for a great price. And she loosened my current faucet and screws to make it easier for me to install the new one. She even gave me sandpaper and putty!) She went out of her way to clean up hard water stains and other issues that I didn't even ask for. She was amazing!

I am so thankful I called Roto-Rooter! Our water heater went out and RR was promptly out the next morning to replace it! The RR technician was an expert in replacing water heaters. He had to remove our old one which leaked and installed the new one. He made sure we would have hot water the same day. He cleaned everything up and did it pretty quickly. He was so efficient and nice and told us all we needed to know about the water heater. I will contact them again for any plumbing needs I have.

My whole plumbing was backed up and they came out the same day, within a few hours, to help me out. The same problem happened again the next day and thankfully the 2nd time was covered under their Guarantee/warranty. I experienced great customer service from everyone I spoke to and they even helped me identify the reason/issue it was backed up. The prices seemed a little higher than the average plumber but the quality of service was worth it in the end. Thank you!

The work was done very well and the employee was friendly and professional. However, the price was absurdly high and unreasonable. Took literally 5 minutes to unplug the toilet. That cost $350.00!!! Tightening a faucet took longer than he expected, but that was offered at no charge with the original $350 fee. In addition, I had a discount coupon that could be used for ANY service. He said it could not be used because he was already giving me a discount off of their standard rate. Bet they say that every time a customer presents a coupon. So, good service, but totally ripoff pricing and deceptive couponing. Will never use them again.

Customer service was excellent my technician Josh was on time and so courteous. What I liked is he consistently assured me he would solve my drainage problem and not to worry. He took his time to perform the tasks needed to clean the drain.i am so happy and feel blessed that I called roto rooter . Thank you Josh for the great job you did

Came out after hours in a Sunday. Phillip was very professional and polite. He explained everything and walked thru the process. The cost was very reasonable for an emergency on a Sunday evening. Phillip explained the problem and put everything back just as it was. Would definitely use again if necessary.

Kelvin called me immediately after I spoke with RotoRooter and said he'd be there in one hour. He was there right on time, was courteous and professional, informing me of every step they were taking. To be honest, I really don't like having to call RotoRooter, but have been pleasantly surprised at the experience whenever I do.

Mikey and Miguel are the DREAM TEAM. I would give them 50000 stars if I could. They rolled in this morning and our project ended up being WAY more extensive than they or we knew from the start. They were professional, thorough, knowledgeable and funny to top it off. Amazing at their jobs. Mikey was under our tiny tub space like a total badass and never once complained. Miguel explained everything I asked questions about in great length. I can’t say enough good stuff about these two. They literally saved us. Forever thankful for their extra hard work they did today. Had a very problematic house drainage problem; bathrooms, toilets & shower. They showed up in less than 30min from my call, went to work, explained the problem, options and recommended preventative solutions for future occurrences. Very professional, polite & efficient.Surprisingly, they took it upon themselves (at no charge to me) to dispatch another team to further assess the root cause & a permanent solution using cameras. They generated a report with recommendations. Kudos!

We had a mainline block that happened right before the New Year. We made an appt. for Jan. 2nd, but they called us with an opening on the evening of New Year’s Day and came right over. Their technician was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. He discovered a break in our line due to tree roots and helped us figure out the next steps. He cleared the line of the existing roots so we could resume normal water use in the meantime. Their rates were a little better than other highly rated service companies. We will definitely use RotoRooter in the future!

Guys (one being trained on the job)!showed up on time and we’re very professional unclogging of one of our toilets. They had shoe booties and were prepared with everything needed to fix an epic clog I couldn’t plunge or blast through using toilet blaster. They were very helpful in telling me what type of toilet auger to purchased when I asked them where they got theirs which I’m fairly certain was the only tool that could have gotten through and fixed this clog. Now I’m prepared to fix this myself should it happen again.

My mistake. I did not ask in advance how much snaking the sewer line would be. I usually pay $179-$199 to snake the clogged lines at my properties. Roto-rooter technician said snaking line (which takes about 30 minutes) would be $579. Also I could rent the the snake for $79 if I did it myself. Did not use them and called another plumber who did it for $189.

Arrived promptly as indicated. Cleared the stoppage. Had to remove a toilet to snake the line to the street. Reset the toilet but cleanup was not done thoroughly and there is a slight lead in the toilet's water line that needs attention. Otherwise, good job.

I called early on a saturday and was told to wait and wait until rescheduled for Sunday. Basically ruined my saturday waiting. Also, it seemed really expensive for a simple snake unclogging of the kitchen drain. The plumber was nice and efficient completing the job. I went with roto rooter because of brand name but will shop around more next time.

Used RR in a professional capacity at the commercial building we take care of. Been using them for years and they always do a get job, show up on time, and over the years I know most of the techs in our area. They treat their employees well too for doing a thankless job a lot of times. So they stick around.Not the cheapest but you get great service and prompt show up when they say.

I contacted Roto Rooter on a Saturday late afternoon, I was given a four hour arrival time for the same day. The plumber arrived within the expected arrival time. She was professional and knowledgeable of my reported issue, which was clogged kitchen drain.

Came out and unclogged my toilet, charged me $900!!!i am very thankful for the professional service but the cost to do this is outrageous. $900!!!! OUCHThis was done in the later evening and did not have another option and agreed to the service and charge.Update: I went to see the work and this is how they left the toilet. This is just ridiculous! See pictures, didn't cut the bolts and did not caulk the toilet like he said he would. Left a mess, awful!!

I had two experiences due to an emergency leak in both of my bathrooms. The inspectors, supervisors, and journeymen were really nice and accommodating; They understood that this is my first time dealing with house repairs and explained the situation as clearly and concisely as possible. I appreciated the phone calls from the dispatchers as well to let me know when to expect the journeymen. All those such repairs are expensive, I appreciate the customer service and care more so.

Sergio was awesome. This was the second time this week I had to call a plumber to unclog my drain. The other plumbing company used a small snake to get the water flowing but it was clogged again in less than 48 hours. Roto-Router used a MONSTER snake to clean out the drain and provides a 30 day warranty. Thank you!

Ricky was very friendly, professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job than him! Also, when calling the office, the staff picked up the phone and they were very friendly, accurate, and helpful. Overall, I'd highly recommend Roto-Rooter.

We had a backup in our kitchen sink on Thanksgiving day The repair tech came in and took care of the problem immediately. He was courteous and respectful getting the job done rapidly. He was in and out allowing us to finish our holiday meal.

Nice young man. Spent at least 3 hours trying to unclog drain, gave up and told me he could not do it. Then charged 527.00.
I called another plumber who came the next day, cleaned it out in 45. minutes and charged 450.00. Will stick to local small business owner next time.

Very quick and completed job successfully. Super super expensive for 30 minute of work due to home having easy access clean out. Charge by the job and not by the hour or by effort.

We had a clogged air hose from the dishwasher. Our plumber showed up was a great guy. Had some issues with parts but resolved it. Project took longer due to this as the price was quite high in my opinion. But when you need it you need it done and that was our situation. Rates are on the very high-end of the industry as I found out after the fact. But they showed up and were very easy to work with start to finish.

Showed up within 1/2 hour of my call, and cleared the backed-up sewer line. I have used them before and have been pleased with their service. Replaced old incorrectly installed sewer line and added ejection pump. Very happy with this professional service. Not cheap, but if you're lucky you get what you pay for. I was lucky.

Kendall and Kevin were professional and super helpful through this experience. Had an old steel pipe rust and burst causing us to shut water off to our business for half the day. These guys got it fixed quickly and deserve a raise!

Responded to a flooding basement drain within hours in the evening two days before I was having a house full for Thanksgiving. The technician was polite, knowledgeable, and determined to fix the problem and worked hard to clear it as we had a long pipe line. Very efficient and a real hero!!!

Came out REALLY fast when other folks were saying they weren't available for more than 24 hours. A bit pricey for a snaking of a kitchen sink at $400 but worth it for their ability to do it quick. Very nice and professional tech.

I had discovered my kitchen floor was curled and sounded squishy when wakes on. I checked the half-bath next to it and found water all over the floor. I called Roto rooter immediately. They were very responsive. A tech was here to help within 1.5 hours to check this emergency. The leak was found and resolved quickly. RotoRooter is also providing assistance to help clean up and deal with floor replacement issues. I don't know what I would have done without them! Responsive and effective.

The toilet overflowed suddenly in morning. I tried all home remedies like the plunger, baking soda and vinegar and allowing to soften up but nothing worked. Then had to call the professional help. Technician Isaac was very polite and competent. He used the augur to clear the blockage. My kids are school going. So they don’t dump things in toilet now. I bought this property 18 months ago in peak season. So couldn’t pay much attention to condition of sanitation lines. Seems long time sludge deposit caused it as I noticed that the augur had to be inserted all the way and turned couple of times to clean the block. This type of blockage cannot happen in a short span of time. Thanks

Nice guys, but couldn’t fix the issue. Charged us $200 for 30 minutes of labor, and we have no resolution. Suggest that the company consider a set “we couldn’t fix it” price that isn’t literally the cost of what it would take to fix the issue. Big bummer! 3 stars because they were really kind to our kid.

Roto rooter did a good job with the actual work but they are very expensive. The main problem is they were not upfront about the quote. They gave as a lower quote at first and kept increasing cost after we accepted initial quote. The cost of parts was double of the Initital estimate they gave.I wish they were transparent upfront about the material cost rather than slapping us with a huge bill at the end. At the end of it, We had a better quote with another party and would have gone there if we knew these guys would mark up the price for materials so much.

The man I spoke with said they'd arrive in a 2-hour window between 11:30 and 1:30. And they'd call a half an hour ahead of time. After 2:30 they called and said Tim would be there in 30 to 40 minutes. Over an hour late later someone else came. Good plumber but condescending. Told him where the clog probably was ( and it was) but it took a while anyway. Thank goodness I had someone who could be here all day as I could not. Nearly $500 later...It's been several days, please cash my check!

The two service people were efficient, polite, and came in the time frame. They left the bathroom in a spotless condition. Even though the cost was expensive the workmen did their job well.

On a scale of 1-5, I would give James a 10. Professional. Focused. Got the job done pretty quickly considering all that was involved. Went out of his way to write up a note explaining how this happened that we can share with our HOA since they might be responsible, or partially responsible. Also, the communication from the office was great.

Was disappointed for following reason. I was a quoted certain price for the job on first visit, then the tech showed up with 2 additional guys to do the work. It ended up costing over $700 more than original quote, $1800 in labor alone. Additionally, I have a tub faucet that is dripping. He originally stated that if I was to purchase new faucet, it would be easy for me to attach it myself. The day he was there to fix the plumbing, he stated it would cost $600 dollars for him to attach it himself....so excessive. Not sure about using Roto Rooter again ?????

Shower drain back up. Professional, nice, friendly and on time, brought towels and material to clean up. Unclothed drain quickly and cleaned up mess.

Sergio Larios and his assistant Isaac were very attentive in fixing our shower diverters. They did not stop until the job was done even though they had to get new parts from two different stores. They really went the extra mile. Roto rooter was very responsive and easy to schedule. Would definitely call them again or recommend to a neighbor!

Tech quoted us $400 for 1/2 hour of labor to replace a simple sink cutoff valve. What a rip-off! No wonder they don't give pricing over the phone. If you need service now at any price, I guess they are fine, as they came when others were not available. Otherwise, avoid.

Roto rooter called ahead to let me know he was coming, and he showed up on time. Very friendly, very professional. Cleaned out my kitchen sink drain (grease), thoroughly, made sure the drain was clean, and then gave me advice on how to avoid a repeat visit!

They advertise that there is no “visit fee” but when they come they is a $350 “trouble-shooting” fee :(
Bad customer experience

These guys charged exorbitantly for just coming out and analyzing the problem, without any definitive fix. We had an issue with the sewer clean out in front yard and the sewer line was blocked. The technician opened the toilet faucet, left water running and when it failed to close, he just clamped it and asked for 500$ to replace it. They said they would come back the next day and provide us with pictures to show what the issue was inclusive in the analysis cost. I got a call the next day and the plumber basically tried to sell us to replace our sewer system altogether, and said it would cost another 600$ just to get pictures for the city. Wow, all this just to evaluate the problem and not even fix it. Never want to find out how much fixing costs. I got a lot of we have custom equipment hence the extra money line thrown at us. Don't bother, save your money!

I thought they were prompt and professional. But they gave me a bid for two sewer access ports for $22,000. I then got an estimate from another company. $11,000 for ports and sewer line. I feel like they were taking advantage of me and that makes me sad. I would have loved to work with them. We are in a recession and just survived covid. Money is tight and I need a company that respects that

Service was professional and completed well. Two down sides were that it was VERY expensive for an hour of work swapping out a section of pipe just because it required going into a crawl space, and that it took a two days to fix due to not having enough tech notions available qualified for crawl space work. Definitely wish something actually pretty simple could have been solved faster by a 24/7 emergency company.

I like Roto-Rooter because you don't have to worry about them not doing a good job.

Long story short, Issac is a very good technician, I would recommend him for other plumbing service. Issac came during Labor day weekend, climbed to the attic, took the pictures and identified problem of the leakage quickly. We would like to let him fix the problem but we are living a HOA managed condo, HOA do not allow us to hire our own plumber to fix the fire sprinkler problem. So we first pay the inspection service only for Roto Rooter and wait for HOA to send someone else to come. After 8 hours waiting, around 10:30PM, technician sent by HOA came but that guy was too big to fit into attic so he was unable to access the problem area. HOA told him to cut the rocksheet, which we refused as we have serious allergic reactions to those drywall dust. HOA refused to find another technician that can fit in small attic area. So I called Issac around 11:00PM Saturday again and asked him if he can come. Issac shown up quickly again although it was already passed his normal working hours. He fixed the leakage problem in 30mins. Thank you so much Issac!

The church I work for used the service. He showed up on time and was very professional. The job was messy but he cleaned everything up. The church will continue to use Roto Rooter for our plumbing needs..

After the job was done, I had questions about the bill. I was not aware of the hourly labor costs and I asked to see the receipt for the $884.00 in parts that I had to spend to replace some pipes after a leak. Unfortunately, after leaving several messages with several people and asking to speak with a supervisor/manager, I have not heard back from anyone, which is disheartening. Given the situation, I feel I was taken advantage of.

The technician that came out, Giuliano, was excellent! He explained everything in advance. Was respectful, clean and very polite. He is someone that I would want representing my company. A+

Our shower had been giving us trouble for a month and i finally decided to look for help. Damien from Roto rooter came within a day of booking and was prompt, professional and upfront about cost. He was in and out and kept us up to date on what needed to be done to fix the issue! Would totally recommend !!

Not to mention the sky high price, they also find a away to sidestep the discount they had promised.The worst part is that they came and not sure what the problem is, they said it needs the snake job for $479 (a 15 min job), but didn't work! Then they said they would TRY to fix the disposal for another $405. I said, no thanks, I can get a new disposal for the cheaper price. They still went for the disposal job because that could be the problem for the issue.They came to fix one problem but tried 2 approaches and charged me for 2 jobs? What if the 2nd approach didn't work, they go for the 3rd approach for $600? $700? It's just not right for them to rip-off customers like this.

They came promptly for same day service to clean out drain clog. Sone what pricey, but good quality of work. The technician Guiliano was very courteous, efficient and explained the process very well.

A recent earthquake cracked our sewer pipe in three places. The repair took just over 7 hours and involved replacing large sections of pipe, working under our mobile home, and reseating the toilet. The were focused and explained the repairs in detail. We will use them again if needed.

I may be lucky, but they arrived <1hour and the main sewer pipe unclogged in <30 minutes.

I represent a small condo complex. The sewer lines that run under the streets that connect the parking lots, had a blockage and RR was very responsive. A technician was dispatched within hours. Kyle kept in touch with updates about his arrival time and performed the needed hydro-jetting efficiently. He was very careful to stand back and wore his mask even though we were outside evaluating the problem. We decided what additional cleaning was needed and he completed this service right away and provided the invoice for me to pay on for the entire procedure, on the spot. I appreciated that he provided the service we needed and did not try to talk me into a much larger project that would entail digging up the street to replace sewer lines.

Great, professional service. Marcus was very thorough and methodical and explained what he was doing. Pricing seemed a bit high, but with the cost of fuel, etc and the fact that it was end of day, and we needed service “now”, it was okay.

They are the professionals but at a price point that seems absurd. I have used them for years but they apparently went from hourly to fixed prices. I could not in good conscience pay $800 to have sewer lines cleared.

We called on a weeknight and the operator was courteous and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised that their services are offered past 5pm. A plumber was quickly assigned and out plumbing issue was addressed within 1 hour of my initial call. We will continue to use and refer Roto Rooter for all future plumbing issues.

Called this company cause my main drain was backing up. They sent someone out within the hour. Anthony ran a snake through the drain pipe to city main and unclogged it, and made sure everything was fine. I liked the quick response and friendly service. **** because they charged me $479 for something that would have cost me $200.

On arrival, with proper PPE, our service tech Will Gomez was friendly and very knowledgeable about the problem we had. He patiently described what the issue was with our sewer line and explained the work he was going to perform to fix our problem. As explained, Will cleared our line and had us using our bathrooms in no time. While working on our problem, he took the time to stop and answer any questions we had in detail. Price was EXPENSIVE, but for the service we received it was worth it. Thanks Will and Rooto Rooter!

This is the third time I’m calling them in 3months. They do a bad job. Stay away from Roto Rooter!Service is good. But very very expensive. You've cost effective options in the neighborhood. Pls check carefully. If you're not in hurry. wait for a better cost-effective option.

Steve Karlin and his partner were the best. Came in with such a buoyant attitude and service mentality....like an instant friend who was there to help however possible. Even though it was a holiday evening they wouldn't give up until our drain blockage was fixed and we could go back to using water again. Their perseverance and professionalism really saved the day for our family. I couldn't recommend them more highly and will be a loyal customer from here on out!

Our appointment was taken care of about 4 hours after the stated window of 4-6pm. Roto-Rooter dispatch did call me to inform me, but it was a very delayed, and my initial appointment was from 10am-12pm, but we had to reschedule when there was no text of a technician by 11:45am.That all said, our technician Wylder was super helpful and cleared our pipes. Thanks Wylder!

The scheduler was cheerful, charming and competent. My service window the DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING was from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, and Damian the service tech arrived at 12:30. Fortunately, it was a maintenance issue, rather than repair, and he was finished in about 30 minutes. I am grateful for this prompt and courteous service.

I've used Roto Rooter in the past and had a great experience. However, I recently called on behalf of a neighbor who is out of country for a plumbing emergency, and the operator said they couldn't help unless the neighbor themselves called, which they could not do. I asked where the rule came from, and he didn't know, just that's what his boss said. I called another higher rated service, and they were willing to come out, but said I should call the city first, because they might be able to address the problem for free. So the other plumber gets my 5 star review, and Roto Rooter loses a point this time. :-|

We had very good experience with Roto-Rooter. Our toddler had been stocking up his toys in our shower's drain!! We caught him in the act. However, what we did not know is that he had been doing that for a while. Roto-Rooter's experts were able to pull out all the toys and clean up our drain! They were upfront about the problem, service fee and the worst case scenario, Fortunately, the Roto-Rooter expert was able to snake out the toys. We highly recommend them and thank them for the service.

The Roto-Rooter professional was on site when promised and was amazing. He explained clearly what he needed to do, which was a messy sewage line clean out for a residential propoerty, and got right to business and was done quickly. He was amazing and I will definitely call again should another issue arise.

I was scheduled for an 8-10 appointment on Oct 5 but no one was able to come because of emergencies. The office people I talked to were all very nice and did give me a $50 discount because of it and did schedule me for Oct 6 at 3pm at my request. Mike and Miguel got there before 2:30 and were absolutely wonderful. They were there to fix the refill on the toilet tank which they did. I asked if they could fix the leaky bathroom and kitchen faucets while they were there and they did. They even found and replaced the rusty thing under the toilet where the water line connects to the toilet. I am very happy with all the work they did. They were excellent with covid precautions.

Luciano arrived ~30 minutes after I called up. He was friendly and confident. Cleaned out the sewer very quickly and he told me the work is covered for 6 months, so that leaves me confident that the job was done right. What a relief!

The plumbers were very helpful and found out where the sewage smell in my house was coming from, stopped it and offered advice for other repairs (PR valve) that would prevent bigger issues down the line and they were honest about which repairs/upgrades actually should be done and which ones could wait. We had a clog that made alll our toilets unusable at 8:30. By about 10:30, their tech William was on site and efficiently and cleanly restored service. Very happy with the response and the results!

The technician that came was very knowledgeable, she was clean didn't leave a mess. The dispatch communication was on point. The only complaint is the high price for the parts and labor.

1st the cost is outrageous to unclog toilet over $500 is ridiculous. Plus the serviceman broke my gate and left it propped up against fence without telling me. Unprofessional and gauging prices when homeowners are the most vulnerable. I will never use again or recommend.

He arrived on time, explained what was going to happen, did it, kept me in the loop as he discovered surprises (this was camera location & inspection work prior to commercial construction), talked with me about how to proceed, talked with my general contractor to verify that he had all the information he needed, walked me through what he found and offered follow-up Q&A, if needed.The findings weren't ideal (old lines), but he was professional, friendly, and kind throughout. In addition, I and a helper were in the middle of taking delivery of some large equipment, and he worked well around our movements & timing. If offered the choice, I'd absolutely ask for Scott the next time I need plumbing service.

We had an issue with a toilet at my job in a townhouse community. I called at 4pm and they had the nice gentleman waiting when I opened up at 9am the next day. He was quick and did a great job. He was friendly and seemed knowledgeable about our issue. Great experience!

Extremely unreliable time window estimates and condescending management. The plumber was helpful and professional though. Roto-Rooter gave me a time window for 10 am - 2 pm on Sunday and I cancelled all of my plans to sit and wait for them. I had to keep calling and waited for about 15-30 minutes each time on hold for dispatch for an update. I waited until 7:30 pm until they said they wouldn’t be able to show up after all and guaranteed to come the next day between 8 am - 12 pm and also offered me a $50 credit for the inconvenience. They ended up being delayed again and showed up past the window.When I called the next day to talk to management, they were extremely condescending and rude. He asked me “Who told you you were getting a discount? You don’t use plumbing companies often do you? You should be grateful we arrived on a timely manner.”1.) I have used plumbing companies before 2.) Even if I haven’t, that’s not a professional way of speaking with a first time customer of your company (which I identified myself as) 3.) Arriving a whole day late with little communication is not “a timely manner.” 3.) Plumbing services are not something people frequently use anyways, only if you have issues, so that remark feels even more defensive and unnecessaryI’m severely disappointed since their services were so easy to book online and they seemed to have gotten great reviews online otherwise. I’m not sure why they think that I would be encouraged to be a repeat customer with that level of service.

I needed some emergency drain cleaning on a Saturday, it was easy to schedule an appointment for a few hours later, they arrived on time and ensured that my drains were running correctly.

I am giving an overall rating of 3 stars. The actual plumbing repair and services was 5 stars. Quick, efficient, and professional during both the initial emergency visit and follow up for the actual repair. Cesar did a great job. NOTE: The initial emergency visit did not result in any extra charge since no work was done (i.e. no fee for evaluation). The deduction of stars comes from the customer service/dispatch to get someone to my house for the repair. After the initial emergency visit, a part was needed so I set an appointment window for 8AM-12PM, there was no call and no show. I called to follow up and was put on hold then dropped MULTPLE TIMES. It was extremely frustrating having no water and no communication. This happened over a course of almost 2 hours until someone finally came out.

James and his apprentice were wonderful. Very polite and friendly. They did a quick job cleaning out the drain and then cleaning up after themselves. Even checked to be sure I was ok with the aerosol used to remove the odor left from the drain.

Jerry explained the problem and the options for fixing it as well as the associated costs from the get go. He was quick, communicative, professional and cleaned up after himself! AND he was able to fix the problem so that I didn't have to replace. I am very happy!

The technician listened to what I told him, even though what I was saying contradicted his expectations. He examined the our plumbing situation, and ended up directly addressing my concern and performing the services he usually would in similar situations, just to make sure. I think this was almost double the work he could have done, if he was just doing the minimum, for a flat fee. He explained what he was doing and why, and called me over to look at things to know how to think about these things in the future. Great experience.

Was able to clear my sewer clog from roots in my sewer line that another company failed to do because they did not have a long enough snake. Did a great job, but very expensive compared to other companies. $479 with $50 off coupon. That is very expensive for an hour's work!!

We had our kitchen sink clogged over the thanksgiving weekend. Roto-Rooters were able to help us with this emergency. They followed up with updates on the appointment / kept me updated.The tech/plumber gave a good estimate and explanation of work and the cost. The complicated under sink assembly due to dual sink and garbage disposal required some removal of u-traps for cleaning the drain. After cleaning from inside, he went outside and did a thorough unclogging to clear the old deposits.

The sewer line under one of the buildings at our condo complex was blocked. Luckily there were no first floor units in that building, but we had sewage backed up in three areas.Phillip, who came out to help us, was excellent. He had to snake down over 200 ft to clear the blockage. Then, when we realized that a professional cleaning service was not available, he offered to clean the affected rooms, including a laundry room, himself. He swept, mopped, and then sterilized the rooms, thus saving me (a condo board member) the trouble of trying to find a cleaning company on a Sunday night before a holiday. :)I could not be happier with this service, and with Phillip.

Jesse arrived well before the ETA given by dispatch. He made a thoughtful and thorough survey of the situation, got the draining running again, and made sure that our sewer was clear all the way to property line. I chose a bigger company because I needed weekends and was hoping the job would be done same day, since the work would most likely be done in or behind my husbands work from home office. I got a window for service the next day (Sunday) between 10-12 am. When no one showed up by 12:20 I called for an update. Keep in mind, every single call requires that you state the problem to someone, who then has to connect to dispatch, who then has to connect to your service technician to find out what’s going on. I was told there was a delay, but called again around 2pm. Dispatch told me my technician had gone to the hospital and they were sending another. Fine, valid excuse. They also promise a call within 30 minutes of arrival. No call, but finally someone showed up after 4pm. He hurried in, looked at the issue, said he’d have to cut drywall to get to the pipe and of course… we’d have to find someone else to repair that. Not ideal, but fine. He laid down “protective coverings” and preceded. Said parts were needed that he didn’t have, so he’d have to get them and come back the next day. He left in a hurry. Went in to the office and my husband hit the ceiling when he saw the amount of drywall dust all over his electronics, work equipment, and everything else which NO protective covering was given. Tech also neglected to turn off the ceiling fan that was on when he was cutting the drywall. We weren’t told what time he would be coming the next day, but had to reschedule because I got called into work, but were told that he would be able to come back on the next day (Tuesday). Tuesday time slot came and went and my husband texted me to call from work to find out what was going on after the two hour window. Turns out it was the technician’s normal day off and he was not available. They also would not send out another technician because ours already had the parts needed for the job. We moved around our schedule for someone who was never going to show up at all. Fast forward Thursday when they rescheduled us. AGAIN no-show and again we had to wait until after the window time to find this out. Turns out the technician had called in sick that day and nobody bothered to tell us that no one would be showing up to our home. They rescheduled us to the next day which I told them I could not do you because of appointments previously scheduled. So they moved it to the following day and assured me a technician would be coming first thing in the morning at 10 AM. I called back at 11:15 AM when still nobody had showed up to see if there was a delay or something going on and to make sure I actually did have a technician coming because by this point I did not believe them. The dispatcher said oh I’m sorry you were misinformed but the window was between 10 AM and 2 PM. I have now had to waste an entire weekday which is so precious to me and my family because of our opposite work schedules and school time. I had to sit around for six hours waiting for this guy for a fourth time. When he finally did show up I told him my concerns about the drywall mess and he just laughed and said, “ha ha yeah that happens”. I also told him that I was upset with all the reschedules and the way their company runs business and fails to notify their customers. Again he just brushed it off with a laugh. He did offer a discount because of the delays and with schedules and when I asked him about the original pricing he quoted me which was $349 just to come out and look he said oh no that’s not right it’s $449. So now he has misquoted a price, no waived charge for messing up my house and electronics. Laughed at me when I told him my concerns and then told me to just talk to somebody else that wasn’t him. I was so upset with the unprofessional level of service pretty much the entire way through the week long series of reschedules and the actual job itself. Yes the leak is fixed but I have a lot of stuff to fix cosmetically. He also replaced the entire faucet lever- did not tell me he was going to do that,and doesn’t match the other fixtures. Never going with this company again.

The Roto Rooter office was professional and courteous, sent out a repairman the same day, and he was also professional, courteous, thorough and fast. The backed-up sewer line is now resolved. We will use Roto Rooter again.

Plumber show up within an hour after I call for appointment. Tech Scott is able to help clear the clog same trip, I have had bad experience with other plumbing company, they need to make multiple trips back & forward with the excuses that he brough the wrong machine / cable not long enough/ machine not powerful enough etc. plus let the water keep running , which ends up my water bill was $ 200 more than what I used to pay.

I booked it online no pricing was given and when they arrived they informed me it would be $494 to clear the drain. They had to access it under the kitchen sink. Took about 20 minutes or so. I was not pleased that the cost was so high and felt I should have been informed at the time of the booking. I did expect it to be between 200 to 300. Lesson learned, do not use online booking and get a firm quote before committing to having them come out. Our plumber Jesus, was very courteous and did a great job, but I was not expecting so high of a bill. Only reason for a 4 star was the cost and not knowing ahead of time of him arriving on-site.

My water heater needed to be flushed to delete any calcium or debris inside the tank in order to maintain the heater. There were no instructions available and I did not want to damage the heater or any system if I drained the tank improperly. A technician was sent out and performed the service.

They failed to show up as scheduled, I had to make repeated calls to find out why. The San Jose office had no idea of what I was calling about, after five minutes on hold, I hung up and called the San Mateo office. They fumbled around attempting to locate my request, finally someone came on and said they were behind due to backup on other jobs and could not provide a response time. The somebody named Bill, gets on the line, asking what was going on, told me to hang on while he checked into it. After six minutes of not getting back to me, I again hung up. Called back again, got dispatch who said they could not give me a destination time, so I said to change to Thursday morning. I also said we should receive a discount for this hassle and was rudely told can only give $60.00per company rules. I never received an estimate, the job got done, without my authorization at the tune of $975.00 and did not receive the credit. I am disputing this bill.

Plumber wanted to pull a toilet in our bathroom to clear a blockage we had in the lateral between the house and street. I stopped him and showed him that the blockage was located between a cleanout in our driveway and the main in the street. This blockage was easily cleared. I would not want a plumber of this quality in my house again!

$788 for two slow drains and less than 30 minutes work ???? Would have been > $850 but I received a discount. James is a good person, but Roto-Rooter is gouging in our area. I've owned my house for 13 years. I retain Roto-Rooter for main sewer line root cleaning, as there's a liquidambar tree in the parking strip and their roots are notoriously invasive. I noticed that I had not done so for 3 years, which is too long, so I called to schedule service. The technician, James, who came out first checked if there was an immediate problem by running the shower and checking the toilet function -- no immediate problem found. James was very attentive to PPE against COVID-19 exposure while inside my house. James told me I didn't need immediate service, and there'd be no charge if he just left. I appreciated that, but I'd rather do maintenance rather than have sewage spilling out of my cleanout unexpectedly. James performed the cleaning, and told me he had found root blockage. I will continue to use Roto-Rooter for this type of maintenance, and will consider the company for other problems that may come up.

Our plumber Steven was such a nice guy - the guy you hope they will send out. He was willing to go above and beyond clearing roots from the drain to making sure it was draining into the septic tank. He explained what he found to me, and then again to my husband over the phone. He was on-time, perfectly polite and patient with me in my ignorance of plumbing problems.

I called and they stated they were going to send there guy out within 2hrs and two hrs came up, no call no show nothing. I called them and the First Lady who picked up hung up on me, second call they put me on hold, third call I talked to a lady and she said they had rescheduled me for tomorrow. I said to the lady how was I rescheduled? No one called me to tell me that. Then she put me on hold. When she got back to me she said her manager left them a voicemail saying there guys were completely booked for tonight. At this point I was not mad anymore, what a disappointment of a company. At the end I was the one who did there job for them by reaching out, they couldn’t even do that let alone show up for the job. Terrible don’t waste your time people, there are many plumbing company’s that are much more professional. First time I ever type up a review.

Honestly ridiculous. What a joke. Had a water emergency the week before and called in on a Friday - no one was available.Latest they could schedule me was on Sunday from 12-4. It's busy, I get it. No one shows up. Called in Sunday 3:00pm. No plumber available.Was told there would be delays but promised a plumber would be here same day. No one showed up for the rest of the day. Called back again, was told to reschedule Monday from 10-2.Monday 1:00PM - no one showed up. Called again - was told there would be delays again, but promised someone would come out same day just a lot later. Again - no show.Save your money, their dispatcher is either on vacation or taking a nap. Find a service that doesn't waste your time. Don't know what was worse - the fact we have to wait 4 days without running water or having to navigate this swamp of a customer service line. Emergencies are these people's last priorities.

They had a guy out to my house about an hour after I called (Wednesday morning). He fixed the issue completely (clogged toilet drain) and cleaned everything up after. It was super pricy, they charged $600 because he had to take the toilet apart to get the clogged item out. The basic service (just using an auger) would have been $300.

The Roto Rooter team just completed our annual preventive maintenance, which included cleaning out the main and auxiliary sewer lines as well as cleaning the p-trap of two bathroom sinks that were slow draining. As has been the case for several years we requested that Keith Campbell be dispatched. Keith knows our home and always does a very professional job. Keith brought an associate, who was very professional as well. And both Keith and his associate were polite, efficient and friendly. First rate service.

My kitchen faucet was very loose, and I couldn't tighten it. Of course, this happened on a weekend. Roto Rooter, the third company I called, scheduled an appointment right away. (Despite listing 24 hr./7 day a week service, the others couldn't come for 2-3 days.) Luckily, Greg Gonzalez showed up. He fixed the faucet, but I also asked him about getting hot water in under 10 minutes to a bathroom sink at the back of the house. He explained why I had this problem and recommended a small water heater to fix that problem. I did some research and emailed him several alternatives. He recommended the one that also had the highest rated reviews I read. Because Greg could also handle all the electrical issues (which some rooter people can't ), he installed and wired it and updated my 50+ year-old not-up-to-code outlets. The angle stop valves under the sink leaked, so I had Greg replace them and the others in the house that were stuck and over 50 years old. Never did Greg push the extra services. I requested them having seen his expertise, knowledge, and skill.

Though he was an hour late, they did call to inform me. He was able to unclog my bathroom sink and was detailed on what was done and the cause. He was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and took safety precautions due to the pandemic. I would definitely recommend.

Rickey & his protege Jesse came out within an hour of calling. They were friendly and communication was 100%. They were relatively quick + efficient considering the job at hand. They cleaned up after themselves when job was completed. Not cheap to unclog sewer line by removing toilet, but that has more to do with our old house not having an exterior’Cleanout’. Technician was knowledgeable, courteous, efficient and neat. Scheduling was easy although it took several house past the scheduled appointment for the technician to arrive due to high call volume on a weekend.

Everything was great and the technician was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The feedback I have is to implement better training to technicians on the cdc guidelines during a pandemic. Technician wasn’t aware of maintaining appropriate distance and removed his face mask completely or had it on improperly multiple times, leading me to feel concerned about my health/safety during Covid 19.

Roto-Rooter finds problems and fixes them in the fastest manner. Aaron one of their techs has always gone beyond the call of duty for us. We have used him several times. We want to support our neighboring businesses . Aaron has always been timely, gotten the job done without being monitored. He is very helpful. We trust roto-rooter. We are very pleased and relieved this issue has finally been resolved and fixed. Thank you Roto-Rooter.

Bill came out very quickly and was extremely thorough, professional and did a great job at working through the problem. It turns out the problem is more than just a clogged drain (actually a broken pipe), but Bill helped facilitate the necessary steps to get the pipe break identified and repaired on my behalf.

We had a late night sewer issue and called RotoRooter. The tech (#5495) arrived onsite earlier than expected. He was very professional and clearly identified the in and outs of the what he was going to do and what to expect. Turned out to be an issue with the city's piping, and the tech was able to take care of the clog temporarily. He also clearly explained what I needed to say to the city to get them out quickly to permanently fix the issue. All around great experience considering the issue we were dealing with.

The employee was curtious and quick .. he was here at our home for only half an hour ... we had a clog that needed to be cleared ... we have a CLEAN-OUT on our driveway and that’s where the clog was so it was easy for him to clear it ... I have no complaints about him or his performance ... my issue is HOW DO YOU CHARGE $500.00 for a half hour of work?????? THE COST IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!! If you ask me we were ROBBED.

The Roto Rooter Technitian is great, he was available ontime and spent over 45 minutes, unfortunately the issue was with irrigation pupe and the hoa covered it, when asked how much I owed him, he didn't charge anything. Extremely positive experience, as he atleast found the how to close the irrigation lever that was flooding my patio area in the apartment.

Technicians are always professional and friendly, but the price of $440 just to unclog the sewer line is way excessive. Also why you advertise no contact policy, while customers have to sign paperwork and give CC? Very outdated.

They broke two parts of my MB bathroom basin drain and tried to leave with the broken parts. I called him and had him bring back the parts. He did by leaving them on my porch. I stopped payment because I didn't find out about all of this until after I gave him the check.

We had major plumbing issues. Both toilets were out and bath tub had sewage backup. I called a local plumber initially who charged a $75 assessment fee and said he needed to go get equipment to do the work in the afternoon. I didn't want to wait, so I called Roto Rooter. Octavius came out and in 30 mins assessed the situation and got to work. He kept the place real clean and helped explain the process. Unfortunately our issue could not be solved inside the house. They needed to snake from outside and we didn't have an two way pipe. So Tevita came along to dig a hole and build a two way pipe. The worked took a long time and I saw Tevita working non stop and going all he can after digging a hold yo unclogged your drain which were damaged by tree roots. By 6:30pm when it is all dark Tevita was still digging. The home owner asked him to try harder (which shocked me, cos it was so late at night and he had worked since 10am with little to no break like a machine). Tevita's response was courteous and said he wish he can complete the job but we needed a separate machine that could only come in tomorrow. The next day, Scott came with the machine and our pipes unclogged. By night time Tevita showed up to clean the area and left it sooo clean I was so surprised.Loved Roto Rooter team. They have hired hard working people and I hope Octavius, Tevita and Scott are taken care of at work. Thank you team.

First time experiencing a pipe leak, first time realizing how important speedy plumbing service is! We called Roto-Rooter since it was 24-7. They set us up with an appointment the very next day. Greg arrived and figured out the problem—a disconnected shower valve. The project got more complicated and we ended up having to replace the entire thing due to a poor job done by the last owner. While frustrating, Greg’s professionalism and honesty left us feeling in good hands. It wasn’t cheap, but let’s be real, I wasn’t going to try to do that myself. If you can, ask for Greg, but I couldn’t recommend Roto-Rooter enough!

I called at 2:30pm with a 2 hour window between 4-6pm. After 2 techs with one not having the proper tools and the other showing up at 10pm the job was completed at aprox. 11pm. The cost was very high and no type of discount for my wait or inconvenience.

Will was great. Plumbing problem was fixed in about an-hour-and-a half, but would have been easier if repair people were still allowed to go on the roof.

Alejandro (Alex) came out to unclog my bathroom sink and was extremely professional. He told me the price of the services and parts prior to performing the work as well as giving me an estimate of how long it would take. He was also nice enough to hop on the phone with my dad a few times to update him on the process and his findings.My only complaint is that my service was scheduled for the 27th. I called on the 26th to confirm the details, and the Roto-Rooter operator notified me that my appointment was scheduled for the 26th, not the 27th. I rearranged my schedule to be home on the 26th. When nobody showed up, I called again, only to find out that my appointment was on the 27th as I had originally thought.

We called a plumber due to new offensive odor in bathroom. I had raw sewage running out of an apartment complex. I called Roto Rooter on Mothers Day, and a technician was able show up at the complex within 2 hours to clean out the sewage problem. I was very pleased with the rapid response that I received and efficiency in taking care of the issue.

I would have rated the service a lot higher if it weren’t for the fact that when running the cable through the drainage line, the blade on the cable came loose and stuck somewhere in the line. I was assured that a free camera inspection will be provided to determine the location and position of the blade and to push it out to the main to avoid more clogs. I am waiting for Roto-Rooter to call and schedule this camera inspection.

Avoid using Roto-Rooter for Backflow Preventer Tests. They charge $245.00 for the test! I guess they mark up the quote so they would give you $50.00 savings for the coupon. Google search says average cost should be between $85.00 to $100.00.

My 85 year old mom had a new shower installed by a handyman and it had a slow leak/drip that we couldn’t get to stop. Roto-rooter charged $1135.00 to install a new cartridge in the brand new shower valve. He also looked at the faucet but did not fix it. Stopped the leak in the shower but the price is outrageous.

They completed the job very professionally. It was a very demanding clean out sewer access manhole and they kept at it until the line was clear of roots and cleaned.

William (tech # 3759) provided exceptional customer service. Took the time to walk me through each aspect of the repair and answer all my questions. Made everything perfectly clear regarding our issues and how to solve them.

The technician who did our service late on Friday night worked long and hard to make sure that the problem was solved. He was friendly, knowledgable, did good work, and totally cleaned up afterwards.

Our technician found out the cause of our stoppage: some of our front yard trees had grown roots into the system and were taking over! He cleared the roots and mess up, poured in the chemicals to help prevent more damage, and gave us tips on how to keep the pipes clean. Honestly, we are all just ready to use the bathroom now that he's gone--one night is too long of a wait! Haha!P. S. The tech also kept his mask on while working.

We had a bad back up of multiple sinks and showers. Call Roto Rooter at 7 am and Marcos arrived by 8:45 am. Marcos was very knowledgeable and troubleshot the problem. Initially, he didn't know if he was going to be able to perform service due to our house having the wrong size pipe but he figured out a work around and we are back up and running. Marcos was friendly, helpful and cleaned everything up around him. Highly Recommended !

Same day service to repair a leaky shower caused by corroded cartridge. The skill level is always top notch at Roto Rooter! I will be calling to upgrade my kitchen faucet!!!

Marcus came out and diagnosed what two other 'handyman' services could not. His expert eye and honest evaluation finally allowed me to be able to make an informed decision about the remodel.

Josh was great--very sympathetic to our plight (a clog in the sewer line that was backing up the toilet and the tub (yuk!!!). Our bathroom is very tiny but he was able to get the BIG machine in there to do what needed to be done. He also gave us advice about installing a new cleanout in the line so as to make it much easier next time (house is almost 80 years old....) as the problem was tree roots--likely to occur again. I particularly appreciated how careful he was about not dinging/damaging/dirtying our new bathroom fixtures or our newly refinished hardwood floors. Even though we called right at 5pm, he was at our house within the 2 hr window given to us by the office and stayed until the problem was fixed (took a couple of hours...). Good thing, too, because we had houseguests coming the next day....

Good service but very expensive for the effort. Charging $500+ for a 15 min work is not reasonable.

They charged $350 to unclog a toilet. I asked for a receipt of the work done and did not get one. Bad communication.
