I live in an old house, built in 1927. Most plumbers run away screaming from the vintage plumbing. But not Powers Plumbing! They have saved the day twice: when the original fixtures in the tub/shower failed, they re-plumbed with new reproduction fixtures that blend well with the existing bath. More recently, the vintage toilet wasn’t working properly, and stumped other plumbers who insisted it had to be replaced. I was sad to lose an original fixture, and phoned Powers as I knew if anyone could figure it out, they could. David was here yesterday; he was patient, professional, and worked some plumbing magic: the old toilet is working properly again!! I should clarify that I have called in other plumbers as I live in North County, and it’s a long drive. But never again. Powers Plumbing genuinely knows their stuff! Also, their customer service is amazing; everyone has been kind, helpful, and willing to listen—even to an old lady who wants to save her antique fixtures. I won’t be calling anyone else again.

We just completed 4 month renovations. We had our regularly scheduled maintenance on the books. Perfect timing. The two professional technicians went through all of the HVAC. They checked our AC for status of a component that in the past has challenged the AC operation. Making note of again a potential issue they put it on schedule for evaluation/replacement. “Proactive Service”… excellent customer service (provided by two professionals who love working for their employer)We were offered a service to clear the ductwork. 3 packages were offered. With clear and concise explanation ( zero pressure) We Ordered the Gold program. .More than satisfied with Anderson.

The water heater in my mother-in-laws house started to leak after only 4 years in service. I checked the installation of the old one and found it to be very shoddy. It sits outside in a dedicated closet. The installation details were not filled out, it was not in a pan but sitting on the cement floor. The connections were not really that secure. I shut it all down, and told her to call Bill Howe. They came out last year and fixed a clogged main line with great efficiency.She told me it was installed, so I went over to check it out. The installation was very good. It is now centered in the closet, sitting in a non-rust pan raised off the ground, all the paperwork is accessible, the details are filled out on the stickers, the plumbing and gas lines are new and properly routed. Just an outstanding job and great attention to detail all around.They are local and care about what they do, more so than other plumbers and pipe-fitters I have dealt with. The team is knowledgeable and friendly. If they don't know, they ask! Parts are stocked in the truck so delays are not an issue.If you need any plumbing work done, give Bill Howe a call. I cannot think of any company who has provided me with better all-around service than what Mr. Rooter and its representatives recently provided me.We were having a significant sewage back-up at our home. Based on an acquaintance recommendation, I had a company respond to assess the situation. That company identified the issue, provided two options and a quote for each. With my limited knowledge of the problem, and the amount of money to complete the repairs, I chose to get a second opinion.By chance, I saw San Diego 10 News does a short segment called Approved Home Pros, where they profiled Mr. Rooter for plumbing needs. I called Mr.Rooter to ask about their services. The phone representative was extremely friendly and informative, and offered to have one of their professionals respond to my home as soon as that same afternoon.I actually met with the technician, Luis Contreras, the following morning. He arrived and after his quick assessment, requested a supervisor with a camera. Javier (unknown last name) arrived within minutes and after a short evaluation, he confirmed the same problem that the previous company had reported. The solution he suggested was actually a more thorough fix to the problem, and what surprised me most, was the cost of the repairs was significantly less than what I had been previously quoted by the first company. When I accepted Javier's service offer, I expected that he would tell me a crew would be out within the next day or two to begin the work. To my surprise, Luis immediately grabbed a shovel and began working on the repair.Over the next couple days, Luis and his work partner, Angel Rojas, worked diligently on the repairs. My experience with prior work crews was that there seemed to be alot of down time, and little interaction. Luis and Angel not only worked tirelessly each day, but took time to explain what they were doing and they were both incredibly friendly.The repair required significant digging across the front of yard of our house. I was amazed when I came home after they finished, to find that there was virtually no sign that they had even been there. The lawn was replaced with no signs of digging, and the entire work site had been cleaned, swept and void of any marks or debris.I could not be happier with the response and the work that the team from Mr. Rooter provided us. But, for me personally, the positive attitude and the friendly, personable approach that I received from every member of the Mr. Rooter team is what I will remember most. I was clueless about who to call when I suspected a slab leak. Luckily my insurance agent suggested this company. So, I booked 24-hour emergency plumbing services to accurately locate the leak and fix the issue quickly. Their customer service is excellent. The professionals came to assist me in 60 minutes. They gave me an estimate right up front. I was ready with their course of action as it was in my budget. They are absolutely the best!

As far as speed goes these guys get 5 stars. They were the first out of ten to respond and they immediately said they could send someone out that day. The REASON they can I guess is because most people go into cardiac arrest when they see the estimate. I had installed a new sink. I had the drain pipes in place but they were leaking. I also had to have the disposal hooked up and the hose from the dishwasher hooked into the air gap. I was correct in thinking it was about 2 hours worth of work. The first estimate was for $1,550. When he first said it I thought wow, great price, $157! Nope, $1,557. I had the appropriate response after that, WHAT? We got it down to $760 by agreeing that we could use the plastic pipes I had in place. He was done in 2 hours, used one of their parts.If you have a dire emergency, then call these guys. If you're worried in the LEAST about the price, then don't even consider them. The guy that came was very polite, quick, courteous .. . but $760 for 2 hours of work and ONE 4 inch pipe? How can it be justified? They know if you called them then you MUST be desperate and they're going to take advantage of it.

It was easy to schedule the appointment. Ryan let me know he was on the way, he arrived on time and completed the repair quickly and correctly.

Called him on Christmas Day 2022 in a total panic. He (Anthony) answered, diagnosed my problem over FaceTime, helped me stop the leak over FaceTime, and saved me at least $500 in emergency call fees.This plumber is one of the nicest and most honest people I’ve ever met in my life. If you have an issue, you should call him.

Emilio and his assistant were courteous and on time. They offered less expensive alternatives to problem and tackled a difficult to remove diverter with care to avoid damaging the pipe. I was very satisfied. Price was les than the bigger firms too.

Randy responded to my call shortly after I left a message late on a Saturday afternoon. He promised to help first thing Sunday morning, which he did with an estimate. Once approved, he came right over and quickly resolved the problem with the hot water heater pilot. As a bonus, he also adjusted a leaky toilet valve while he was here. He was polite, friendly, efficient and a very good communicator.

Wonderful experience with Almco Plumbing. Tony was professional, punctual, efficient, and kind. He explained everything very well and finished the job thoroughly and quickly. Adam and Steven have been a lifesaver. We had a major sewer leak and they came out the same day. They did such an awesome job quickly and efficiently, that I kept their number to call for any other plumbing problems. They've also done plumbing work for my shower and hot water heater. We had a sewer backup on a weekend and ARS got us on the schedule for a drain snake on a Sunday. Ruben was very kind, quick, and professional (and was great with our excitable dog). He and his supervisor came back the next day to inspect our drain and propose a repair and they were both great. Service was extremely reasonable. We'll be adding Ruben and ARS to our toolbox of contractors from now on!
