I called Maloney plumbing to replace a six year old water heater that they had installed. they came out promptly and told me it was not under warranty as the couplers failed but not the tank (their prior installation). They then quoted me $5,000 to replace a 50 gallon direct vent gas water heater. I turned them down and had 3 other quotes for the exact same water heater and installation for $2800-$3000.The water heater costs $1750 to buy retail. hard to justify $3250 for a few hours of work installing it. this is price gouging at new heights.Installed the following morning without problems.drive past Maloney unless you want to give your money away...

I have used Diamondback Plumbing several times over the last 14 years for my business and until this last experience have been happy with their employees and work. Just over 5 months ago I had to replace my commercial water heater. Diamondback Plumbing installed a new commercial grade water heater for just over $4700.00, but 2 days after installation the heater started to tilt so they came back out and with a little help from a hammer or wrench the water heater was sitting upright on the base( holes were made in the base for the legs to stick through, and there was dents on the side of the heater. I was assured that this would be ok and if not, I had a warranty. So last weekend March 23rd, 2019 the water heater started to leak, I called Diamondback and they sent someone out on Tuesday and told me that the tank did have leaks and that it would be replaced under warranty. Good news I thought, but after few heated telephone conversations going back and forth trying to find out when new heater will be installed. Apparently they were fighting with the manufacture, they hadn’t installed a commercial grade water heater back in October, they finally installed new heater on Friday. Saturday morning, I noticed that the hot water connector was leaking so again I had the pleasure of a telephone conversation with a representative from Diamondback Plumbing telling me that they would come out and fix the leak with new connectors but at a cost to me. I was taken back by this as I would have thought when they installed the heater on Friday, they would have replaced the connectors just like they did when they initially installed the heater 5 months ago. After several minutes of discussion, I reluctantly agreed just to pay for the parts ($78) and Diamondback Plumbing wouldn’t charge any labor. Well on completion of replacing the connect the invoice was presented with labor charge of $90 of course I was angry and confused just a couple of hours earlier we had agreed on no labor charge. The technician gave me some story that he had been to my business 3 time for this job will no pay and he had to go to north Phoenix to pick up the part which I thought should be standard on his truck.If Diamondback Plumbing had done the job right in the first place, then these return visits/issues/stress would not have happened.Very poor customer service with Diamondback Plumbing

I got rep of by so many plumbers but when I called on Saturday 1am he came early in the morning and worked so hard and fix a big problem with my bathroom and he didn’t even charge me a lot I recommend him best plumber ever

Awful! Complete scammers. Took advantage of my elderly mother. Charged her a ridiculous amount of money to repair her water heater. Avoid this company! Complete jerk when we tried to find out exactly what he was doing and why he was charging almost $900 to repair an old water heater.
