The leak source was tricky to locate but Wedgeworrh found it and fixed the problem. I’ve used them several times since the COVID crisis. Their plumbers are prompt, knowledgeable, and communicate well.

Unfortunately this was not a good experience. The technicians came out to fix an issue with too little hot water in our downstairs shower. They diagnosed a bad cartridge and they changed it, and flushed the hot water tank. After they did that we had NO hot water at all. Ok, they left and different crew came back the next day. Repressurized the tank and all seemed ok. Until the next day and it was clear our hot water in the shower, where the original problem was diagnosed, still did not work. Guys had to come back out and change out the cartridge that controls the hot/cold water. Ok, seems like a bad one was installed. I guess we are all good now. Nope, couple days later the hot water seems to be barely working and yet another call. Turns out the recirculating pump for the hot water heater was dead. Technician disconnected, and bypassed it and everything finally works OK. He offered to install a new one for $400 (initially he said $450) but based on the experience we had, the expertise seems lacking. The phone staff and guys were pleasant to work with and all of the follow up calls were done ASAP, but 4 trips out for one minor issue is just too many.

My refrigerator ice-water dispenser was not flowing, but generating a trickle. An appliance repairman tried several fixes, but none worked, but on a hunch asked that we get a plumber to check out the incoming line. Redfin came and disconnected the line at the fridge and at the inlet fixture at the wall, and discovered that the installers had left a piece of plastic in the line that was restricting the flow. PROBLEM SOLVED! FAST, LOW-COST, EASY. The team that arrived went to work immediately. I am very pleased.I have used RedFin on a different house, in that case repairing a damaged sprinkler fixture that was ruined during the Big Freeze in Houston. They not only replaced the broken pipes, but also added a new valve that will let us turn off the water in a better location, next time, and hopefully avoid broken pipes in a Future Freeze. PROBLEM SOLVED; PROBLEM AVOIDED.Separately, a Redfin plumber replaced failed parts in a toilet after first making sure all other parts were performing as they should. Problem solved.
