My experience with Wedgeworth was all anyone could wish for from scheduling the appt, to availability that was attentive to my needs, to courtesy call prior to arrival, to the two reps who took care of my appt. Both were extremely professional, courteous, and generous to allow me to ask questions and get assistance in knowing how to deal with any unexpected issues as we head to the pending artic front. **See Update** The personnel were on-time, polite and left the area clean after installing a new wax ring; however, after they left, the tank ran constantly and I waited a week for someone to come complete the adjustment and was charged for the follow-up. Also, I asked for a callback from the second visit to explain the charges and was never contacted. I have had several good experiences with the company, but this one was frustrating.***Update*** A person from the company followed up a week or so later. They called to apologize that the call had not been returned at the time and explained the work that was done. They also provided a partial refund. I was impressed that they cared enough to contact me to make things right. Will definitely use again.

Shower was leaking when turned on. Tech diagnosed a shower pan failure. Passed on a quote to me for $6k. Turned out the shower wall tile only needed a regrout and reseal. Project cost only $100. Shower has not leaked since that issue and it’s been months. Morale of the story, do your own research and DIY where possible and capable. Wedgeworth failed in delivering a reasonable assessment of the situation

The company did a very good job of installing our new garbage disposal which I bought at Home Depot. The only regret I had was the cost of the installation was very high, $364 to install a $140 disposal. I will not use them to install future purchases.

I had been having clogged drain problems for about a year, and I had Wedgeworth visit my home. The second time they came, I asked them to run a camera to find the source of the blockage. They determined a section of my pipe needed to replaced and they marked the pipe location and estimated the length to replace. The job was going to be $3250, but they agreed to discount the cost of the snake and camera ($450 off).The next day they arrived to replace the pipe, and were unwilling to honor the $450 off. I started calling other plumbers and quickly found another plumber (Beacon) that was willing to do the job for $2560. Wedgeworth offered to honor the discounted price, but I cancelled the job with them. When Beacon arrived, they ran a camera to confirm the job details and found that Wedgeworth had incorrectly marked the pipe location. See attached photo. Wedgeworth would have dug in the wrong place.I finished the job with Becon Plumbing and was very pleased with their work. I wish I had called them first. I could have saved an extra $450 and the headache of dealing with Wedgeworth. Beacon did not charge extra for the camera either--it was included in the job.

I'd had an exterior faucet and intake pipe and valve on my studio workshop had been damaged and had to be replaced. TJ and his associate were wonderful! I was impressed with their knowledge and professionalism and that they took the time to explain what they needed to do before they started. While they did have to turn off the water to my house, they first installed a new shutoff valve to my studio building and had the water to my house back on faster than I'd expected! Instead of removing my siding, they removed my interior pedestal sink to access the area very carefully cutting out the sections of drywall. When they were done I was able to set the pieces back in tape and float the area with minimal work. Once it was dry they bolted and caulked my sink in place and cleaned everything up inside as well as insulated and taped the exterior pipes. I was also extremely impressed with their attention to detail as well as how personable they were, answering any questions I had. I would not hesitate to call on Wedgeworth again for any plumbing needs or to recommend them to anyone looking for a top company to take care of any plumbing issues at a great price!

When my my water heater stopped working, and my regular plumber couldn't fit me into his schedule for several days, I turned to Google to look for a plumber with a favorable review history. I noticed that Wedgeworth Plumbing had consistently high reviews, so I gave them a call. I am happy to add my own high-praise review to the list. I appreciate that they worked me into their schedule for same-day service, twice. My husband and I are very happy with James' work. We first met him when he came to check a leak and address low pressure in our shower and faucets. He trouble shooted the problem, and made the repairs quickly. On his second visit, James replaced our old water heater tank. Before calling Wedgeworth Plumbing, I had two other plumbers tell me that clearing my slow-drain tub would require costly work. Specifically, I was told I would need to install a clean-out access, which would take 2 or 3 days. Wedgeworth sent 2 plumbers, who recommended taking a simpler approach, after explaining the pros and cons. They worked on running a line to clear the blockage and within half an hour had cleared the drain. Their bill matched the estimate I was given before they started the work and was very reasonable. Also, they were very professional, arrived on time, and sent appointment reminders. I will highly recommend them to every family member or friend that needs a plumber!

I have been using Wedgeworth Plumbing for 7 years now. Still batting 1000. It was nice to have a simple repair, with a simple solution for a simple price. My other past services were emergencies and they came out in less than an hour on one of them. They have repaired my water heater and it still going 5 years after repair. They have changed out some sort of plug in 2 of our showers to stop the heads from dripping and so my point is they are very broad in terms of available skill sets and services. You are safe with this team of professionals.

We had major plumbing issues that happened over the weekend- chose this company to call because of the number of great reviews they had. They came out first thing Monday and James was very informative and helpful with explaining the issue and what would be done to repair it. Pictures of our busted pipe and the new pipe were taken and he sent them to us to have on file. Best service and pricing in town!!James with Wedgeworth Pluming came out to help us with a main drain clog. I had another company come out the day before and he stated that the clog was in the city line. We contacted the city they said there was no clog in their drains. Called Wedgeworth Plumbing to unclog a sewer line that was causing the toilet to back up and shower to drain slowly. Spoke to both Erica and Denise over the phone who were both very friendly and professional. I was told that a plumber would arrive between 2:00 and 4:00, and I would receive a call approximately 20 minutes prior to arrival. Everything went exactly as explained. I received a call at 2:00 and Rex and Brian arrived at 2:20. Rex and Bryan were very personable and friendly. They listened to my explanation of the problem, explained what they needed to do, and how much the cost would be. I felt they were knowledgeable, fair, and honest in the job and pricing. I would definitely use Wedgeworth Plumbing again as well as recommend them to family and friends.

Super customer service and very friendly! I was recommended by a few people and am very pleased with the work done. They scheduled a time to come out but was running behind on another job so they called me and updated me as needed to let me know. I'll be using them again for future work. ?Update: I've used Wedgeworth multiple times since my original review within the last couple months and they always do a really great job! Their prices are competitive and never pressure you to do more work, unlike other companies that I've received quotes from. I've already recommended them to family and friends. I will be using them exclusively from now on.

In December 2019, I called Wedgeworth for a water pressure problem. James believed the problem was with the water meter and recommended I call the city to replace the meter. I appreciate that he tried to save me money by blaming the meter before suggesting a plumbing repair, however I spent over two months dealing with the City about changing the meter. Meanwhile, other plumbers said the pipe “riser” leading to the house needed to be replaced. In the middle of arguing with the City about the meter, I asked James to replace the pipe riser. This immediately restored my water pressure. I initially posted a 5 star review for this job, mainly because James asked me to post a review, and he seems sincere and honest and ultimately did a good job replacing the pipe and the main shutoff valve.Then, this January I called Wedgeworth about leaky faucets in my shower. It wasn’t a particularly bad leak, but the tile floor was constantly damp, making the grout mildew. James replaced both faucets without going into the access panel. From the beginning, the faucets were extremely stiff, my needing both hands to turn them on and off. I assumed they would loosen after they’d been used, but that didn’t happen. Then, I noticed the shower floor was still damp, and after a couple months, the leak became worse, so I called Wedgeworth and they sent James to assess the problem. He told me they would need to replace the separate hot and cold faucets with a single faucet unit, and that would cost about $700. When I asked if the $272 I already paid could be applied toward that job, he said they could discount it by 5%, but he would need to ask his boss if they could give a larger discount and he would get back to me in a day or two. When I didn’t hear from James, I phoned the office and left a message for Sean (the owner), to call me “because I had a question”. Sean didn’t return my call, so after a week I sent him an email asking for his opinion on the faucet problem. He never did get in touch with me, so I called a couple other plumbers as well as my handyman for their opinions. They all agreed that changing the faucets, without also changing the compatible valves, wouldn’t fix the problem. My 70 year old handyman was confident he could do it, so he replaced the faucets and valves with Pfister hardware, which carries a lifetime warranty. Now, though I needed to pay twice for the same job, I finally have a dry shower floor and new faucets which work perfectly. Needless to say, I’ll never call Wedgeworth Plumbing again.

They have unclogged our sewer lines for us a couple times, and we will now go with them to do the bigger job of replacing the lines. :( An overall great experience. I'm sure I will be reviewing them again with 5 stars after that. We had Sean the first time, and he was great. And we had Damondrick this time, and he was just as great. Thanks, Wedgeworth! When you're already stressed out about having to spend a ton of money on a job to fix the problem of sewage backing into your home, it's really nice to at least know you've found a competent, reliable company to do the work.

Even though Wedgeworth Plumbing came to check a warranty item they did not install, I used their plumber, James, to make the necessary replacement. He was very patient with all my questions, thorough and professional. He also pointed out a weak turn off valve which will need replacement soon. Please make sure you are on same page before signing the contract. There was a payment issue after completion of work, the owner sat in front of my home demanding payment. I made it perfectly clear that I was waiting on my insurance company. He continued to harrass me calling threatened to remove pipes, fittings. Said I could not have the drywall replaced until I paid as the pipes n fittings weren't mine, and could be used on another job. It was awful. Additionally, the repipers destroyed the drywall under my sink so much was the damage that the drywaller charged me an extra 400.00 to repair. I spoke to wedgeworth, he said he would have a check cut for the extra expense, if I sent him the bill. Which I did, by that time I had given his manager a check for 8910.00. 3 days later I received a certified letter from a lawyer demanding payment. I called the lawyer, asking why? Never received a reply from wedgeworth or the attorney. Nor a check from wedgeworth covering the extra destruction under my kitchen sink. So my advice to potential customers, make sure you communicate your intent. I stated from the beginning insurance company is paying. Also, the contractor came out to check work and collect, and also refused to leave w/o payment, and made threats. I asked them to leave my property as at this point, a 79 year old woman, I did not feel comfortable with two men in my home threatening to remove pipes, fitting to use at another job.

I have several rental properties and was not satisfied with my plumber of 10 years. I was reluctant and scared to make a change. I decided to try Wedgeworth Plumbing based on their reviews on Yelp. I am so glad I did. They are now my go to plumbers! They have worked at a more than one of my properties now and I am beyond satisfied.Most recently a tenant took it upon herself to contact a plumber who told her the hot water heater needed to be replaced. I knew that the heater was not too old; I contacted Wedgeworth and they told me it was dirty under the hot water heater. He cleaned out the dog hair and debris and it continues to work fine. They were prompt and courteous with scheduling an appointment for our emergency need, addressed all my questions and concerns, and were thorough with both the job and clean up. I came across Wedgeworth after some extensive online research across the various plumbing companies in Houston, after getting tired of outrageous quotes and less-than truthful required work from even the most well known plumbers in the city. Great experience for the second time! Damondrick and TJ did a great job fixing our issue in our master bathroom sink (that the AC unit condenses into?) It's the second time we have the issue, basically because we should have followed the instructions to put bleach with hot water down the drain monthly. Could not be happier with the service and professionalism from TJ today. I called Friday and asked for an estimate and possible repair for a pipe in our guest bathroom and was told TJ would around 2-4 p.m.. Upon arrival, TJ was in a marked vehicle, in uniform, and extremely polite and friendly. He inspected my problem, showed me up front what the cost would be and never once tried to upsell me.The work was complete in a short amount of time for a fair price. If I could give them more stars I would. Amazing service, response, and professionalism. We had a problem caused by a leak in the sewage main (resulting in a sink hole) , creating a belly in our outgoing line. Within a day of requesting the service they had the line replaced and the yard looked much better than I imagined it would. There was some leftover residue from the line being backed up that was still causing a problem but Rex came out the next day and fixed it free of charge. I will be recommending them to anyone that asks about a plumber.

Overall it was a great experience with wedgeworth plumbing. They were able to send a plumber right away to provide free estimate. We had a blockage in our drain causing water backing up in our kitchen sinks and connected master bathroom sinks. James did an exceptional job and cleared out the blockage. Centerpoint turned off gas due to a gas leak in an old gas line coming into the house. The entire gas line needed to be replaced because it was not to code and required city inspection. Got a quote from a recently used plumber that i thought was competent and reasonably priced. Got a second quote from another Angie's list recommendation Wedgeworth Plumbing and it was almost half the amount and saved me thousands of dollars!! They were very professional and handled everything from permits to inspection to a clean work site that didn't require anything additionally on my part. I am very pleased with my service from Wedgeworth Plumbing. The service man, Rex, was very thorough and professional. He examined the problem, quoted me a price, and got the job done in a timely manner. He was very conscientious about cleaning the area throughout the process. I had tried a cheaper plumber, but he did not solve the problem and did not return to fix the problem after several calls. Although this service cost more, the problem was fixed and warrantied for 25 months. It would have cost me less if I had gone with a professional from the start. I called Wedgeworth Plumbing because I had a break in the water line outside at a spot that had been repaired 3 times before. Showed up on time to give me a free estimate (unlike their competitors that charge for an estimate), the estimate was fair. It was about 60% of the estimate given by their competitors. Showed up on time again to do the work. Damondrick was the plumber who gave me the estimate as well as did the work. The work was done as promised. I wasn't on site, and Damondrick efficiently communicated with me texting photos of the installation plan, etc. He completed the work as promised the same day. The next day, city inspectors showed up and it passed inspection. The day after that, Wedgeworth came back to cover up the trenches dug in the lawns and resod it. The plumbing job showed no leaks and it appeared all went well. I will certainly hire them the next time I need any plumbing job done.

(Some plumbers will just slap it together to get it done as quickly as possible, and the sloppy work shows). My hot water heater stopped working and Wedgeworth Plumbing was one of the companies that I was referred to using the Extended Protection Plan (EPP) from Lowe's. They were running ahead of schedule and they asked if Rex could come earlier than the scheduled time. I agreed and Rex showed up in 30 minutes, well dressed and very professional. The thermostat needed to be replaced and after a few phone calls to determine who would pay the labor Rex swapped out the thermostat with no issues. The EPP paid for the labor. I had to pay to install a sediment trap since I currently didn't have one and it is required now.

Superb service. Another highly recommended outfit did not even reply to first contact, though their office assistant took all my info down. Wedgeworth's president called me late on a Saturday afternoon after my Friday afternoon request, followup call by the office on Monday, ServiceMan James came out the next day, and the installation was done six days later. And with all that, they clearly understand the technology they installed (tankless system). Top Notch.

After the freeze today I had an outside pipe burst. I was referred to wedgeworth by a friend and within an hour they were at the house! Damondrick was great - he went over and above! He was able to secure unbraced shower piping and body sprayers with wood blocks behind the tile attached to the studs (2x4's) along with making a gasket for the on/off plate in helping us to retrofit new shower fixtures and valves.

Rex and his assistant came over early this morning in the pouring rain. I had two bathrooms backing up with a clog somewhere in the main drain under the house. They used an auger and a strong liquid cleaner to break it up. In an hour all the bathtubs, toilets and washer drain were flowing freely, and they were done by 10AM. I just took the most relaxing shower I've had in days - thanks guys!

Rotorooter didn't complete the job and told me my subfloor was rotted and probably needed to be replaced. They told me to call them back when I fixed the floor. After calling 2 contractors to evaluate the floor, turns out It was in good shape, it was just wet from the broken flange. A repair flange would have worked just fine. They were also going to install the new toilet flange (on the inside of a 3 pipe) with a thick rubber gasket that would put the drain pipe for that toilet at about 2. Would probably have gotten clogs all the time. Wedgeworth quickly chipped and removed the pipe from the old flange off of the drain pipe so that a new larger flange could fit on the outside like the original and installed it properly, quickly and affordably. Very impressed with their expertise, their work and their professionalism.

Camera and cable were used to find the problem in the waste line. The toilet was removed and reinstalled somewhat unnecessarily as there was an in-house wall mounted access nearby. The garden had to be disturbed to find and refit the clean out. This took time and digging! Everything was restored very satisfactorily. Very nice young men!

I called on a Saturday morning and they promised someone within the next couple of hours but said they would try to have someone sooner than that. Damondrick showed up earlier than that and went to work. The problem was tough to solve since the main clean out valve could not be found, by the owner and also the manager of the units. Damondrick persevered and finally used the kitchen sink to clean out the system so everything would drain including my neighbors unit upstairs.Damondrick was courteous and helpful the entire time. He cleaned up everything including the mess in the shower where the system had backed up. I now have them in my contacts and so does my landlord. We will use them again for sure.

Has a minor plumbing issue and called Wedgeworth Plumbing. Shawn came by and got us all fixed up. Very professional, great job communicating what he was doing and cleaned up after himself. This is the second time we’ve used them and been happy with both service calls.

I have been using Wedgeworth for years - before it was sold to the current owner. They came out for an ice machine install and they were able to do everything I wanted including a filter install which I really appreciated. My only issue is the receipt did not have a good breakdown of the costs. Just one big number. All in all, i received good polite service. The invoice breakdown would be the extra information that would be helpful for my records. I would highly recommend Wedgeworth for whatever plumbing needs you have!

I had to get a tub removed and installed in order to complete a tile installation. TJ and his team were very professional. They explained both the scope of the job and pricing in great detail. I felt like their pricing was reasonable.Definitely going to use them again.

We were driving on 45 going SB going to drop our children off at school and one of their trucks pushed us into the emergency lane he was driving at least 80 MPH. The truck # is 107 I did call the number on the truck and a lady told me that she would let the owners know. So beware because if these drivers are what represent this company that is not good!
