I'm a repeat customer with Holtzman Home Improvement. They remodeled my kitchen last year, and now we're just finishing up a master bath remodel. For both projects I'm happy to say that I am very satisfied with their work.

Before deciding to work with the Holtzmans, my wife and I did some research, called in an architect, and asked several contractors to offer bids. What finally stood out with Danny and Brandon, and really what made us decide to work with them above any other contractor, was their ability to take a design approach from the start. Understanding design aspects of any remodel (as I've learned from Rick, their lead designer) is crucial. For both our kitchen and bath we found that the right design helped ensure we got what we expected (aesthetically) and that things stayed within the budget we set for ourselves.

Another interesting feature of Holtzman Home Improvement is their staff. They have their own employees for most jobs ; plumbing, carpentry, tile, etc. My wife and I liked this very much because it insured a high-level of quality and a group of workers that did not change throughout the project. All the people who work at Holtzman are steadfast professionals and did a great job.

Now for anyone who thinks that any well-planned home improvement project is impervious to mistakes, let me say that such is not the case. Some problems will, without a doubt, emerge. And whenever a problem presented itself, Danny and Brandon were always very honest about it, and worked with me to find a good resolution. If the wrong tile was laid down, they simply removed it. In other cases we had to endure some overages in order to resolve the issue. However if I had to pay a bit more to get what I and my wife wanted, we were always satisfied with the solution and found the final outcome better than expected. In some cases, the problem actually forced a solution that was superior to the original plan.

Finally the online project management system that Brandon set up is great. Not only does it show the schedule and upcoming work, but it helps document overages which is an important part of any project. I think this kind of system represents icing on the cake because bigger projects are complex and need exactly this sort of tight oversight.

So in the end, would I use the Holtzmanns on my next project? The answer is very much yes.

The toilet in one of my bathrooms was not working properly so I called the company. They sent over one of their workers, Norm, and it was fixed. He did everything very clean, quickly, and professionaly. Norm is very friendly and respectful. He did a great job!

After Ben did a fantastic job remodeling our daughter's kitchen, we hired him to remodel our kitchen and great room. This project involved removing a fireplace as well as some walls, and replacing floor tile throughout. Ben was easy to work with and highly dependable. He coordinated with our kitchen designer and communicated with us every step of the way. We were very pleased with Ben and hope to hire him again in the future.

Derek and his crew did a few projects at our house. While we didn’t have an Aqua Therapy tub, Derek helped us choose a new shower door and installed it. They did a great job. He also replaced a kitchen faucet. We asked if he could put tile on our front and back porch. We love it and continue to get compliments. The work was done as promised and done well. One of their representatives came to my house and kind of pushed an appointment for a FREE estimate NO OBLIGATION. Day if the appointment came and another representative called to confirm and when I said I could not proceed with the appointment as I was thinking on selling the house now the representative said YOU COULD OF JUST SAID THAT FROM THE BEGINNING AND HANG UP ON ME…. Like are you serious, what type of customer service is this????Maybe a “oh okay no worries, where maybe we can help you if you buy a new house or something”. That is just a HUGE RED FLAG!!!! Imaging if something goes wrong if you decide to do business with them!!! Just avoid this company or you will be having headaches down the road

Xtra Mile was comunicative, and easy to work with. Work was finished before their timeline and looks great. We had them install a new tile shower that is perfect. Tile and drywall in our worship. They even painted. It has been a pleasure working with them.

I requested the installation of a skylight shade from Angi. The skylight isn't more than 8-9' off the ground . I ordered the 24x24 custom shade from Amazon and it's still new in the box. After sending them pics of the skylight, the quote I received was $245. That's more than $110 an hour because I can't imagine the job will take 2 hours to install. Needless to say I won't be using Handyman Connection and I've alerted Angi of this exorbitant quote.
